Took a break here today and wandered up the hill past the residents. Found with MummyPenny. Thanks bumandworker.
We were supposed to do a whale watching trip today, but it got cancelled as the whales were outside the area. Instead we set off to find a few caches. Glad we made a quick find here as it was very cold and windy in this quiet part of town today. Tftc
Trouve ! / Found it ! Ambiance particulire ce matin avec la brume 5216me cache trouve.Merci bumandworker pour la cache Special atmosphere this morning with the mist 5216th cache found.Thank you bumandworker for the cache
My husband and I are on holidays from Brisbane Australia and today we travelled from Christchurch to kaikaro and found a few smiley's along the way. What a lovely cemetery with great views. Thanks for taking us here and for placing this cache here for us to enjoy
One of those caches I keep driving past and not stopping for. Well, tonight, a bit of spare time so pulled over and wanderedup the hill and finally claimed it. Cheers
Heading back to Blenheim after a weekend in Christchurch. Got here and made the find just before the mower man turned up to do some maintenance. All fine here. Thanks for the smiley.
TEMBO! and I stoped at the "Last Stop Cheviot. This is a very silence place. We overlooked the szenerie and calmed down.
Thanks to bumandworker for hiding and maintaining the cache.

#12,460. After a fun week in Christchurch doing a lot of caching it was time today to drive north to Picton to catch the 6pm ferry. I decided to stop first at Cheviot for some lunch then do a few along the road from there to Kaikoura. Parked down below and walked up to this one. Nice quick find. Thanks b&w for the cache.
Some graveyards can be beautiful places. This is one of them. Tidy and well kept. TFTC.
We didn't hang around and look at various headstones like we usually do with this type of cache as the sun had already set. No trouble with locating the cache. Thanks.
I wasn't sure what the title referred to until we pulled up.
No problems making the find.
Thanks for putting it here

Very interesting place to walk around. Cache found all good here. Thanks for the cache bumandworker.
Not so quiet a spot today as literally hundreds of freedom protesters drove past tooting their horns. A beautiful spot though. TFTC
Quick find on the way to kaikoura tftc
Planned West Coast trip put on hold due to atrocious weather. So an alternative route was needed to avoid the rain. Not so! The rest of the south island copped it too..though on a lesser degree. So mainly driving north with the odd random cache finds. Seeing plenty of country less travelled a bonus.

We stopped here on our way into Cheviot but there were muggles here so we headed off again. Back again and this time no one around and we got a nice easy find. tftc
Looooong boring drive to Blenheim. Ohhh I know, I'll do some caches. Nice and easy. Cheers.
Driving north today, stopped at this peaceful place - there was a man mowing the lawns but I was able to find & then replace the cache while he was well away from GZ.
Thanks for this cache, b&w.

Lovely spot, on a beautiful day. Always meant to stop here and that was all the excuse we needed. Thanks for the cache.
Time to start heading home after a great weekend exploring the kaikoura area grabbing caches along the way..
Quick find tftc
Replaced as per hint..

A very peaceful resting spot. Some people past have better places to live than some people not yet past . It was here I think I first read the word "relict". Didn't take long to work out what it meant. TFTC.
Husband needed a break from driving so off I scampered to get this cache. Would have been rude not too. TFTC
Quick find here, but hint is no longer relevant. Still, cache all good and coords spot on. TFTC Bum.
Homeward bound to Blenheim after a weekend in Chch, I have targeted a few caches on the trip back. In the end I did not get away until the early afternoon, so could not do some of the short walks I had planned. Just park and grabs then. Thanks all COs. Not many found but no issues with any of them.

Heading for Kaikoura but had to turn back at the Leder as SH1 is closed. Gives us a chance to investigate some caches around Cheviot. TFTC
We left Feilding n.z nearly two weeks ago and went from picton to reefton over Arthur's pass which we really enjoyed then Christchurch for a couple of days to get a trail done and of course some other caches along the way so far we have managed to get over 300 caches a great effort we thought we would try and average 20 a day.

Found on 24/01/2019.
I was up at the top of the South Island competing in the South Island Orienteering Champs. This gave me some time to grab some caches on the way there and back. It was great fun to explore a new part of the coutntry.

Heading north on our first grand family road trip. The plan was to head north to Auckland and then tiki tour our way back to Christchurch. This was our first day and we stopped by to grab a quick cache.
Thanks for the cache bumandworker.

Nice quick find. Log book is saturated. Wrote on it but it may disappear due to the wetness of the paper
Heading south for a week in CHCH picking up a few caches whenever I felt like a 'drivers leg stretch'. It was starting to get near dusk but I was still on time to get to CHCH to meet the other half who was flying in so I thought I could manage another one or two caches before I had to stop.
Good to get out of the car and stretch the legs up the slope. Nice and quick find in a peaceful location. Cache and log book all good. Thanks for the hide and cache.

Found with NZDi. With the Christmas madness over and the extended family travelling near and far for their holidays NZDi and I found ourselves at a loose end. Not wanting to hang around home like Darby and Joan, we booked a couple of nights in a motel in Christchurch and headed off down the line... the newly opened State Highway One that is, which had been closed for one year, one month and one day due to the Kaikoura earthquake.
We were awestruck to see the power Mother Nature had wrought upon the landscape and were equally amazed at the engineering feats mankind had used to overcame Mother Nature's carnage. On our trip south we made a deliberate decision not to cache so that we could get a true indication of how long the trip now took. For us that was four hours and fifteen minutes including the three comfort/morning tea stops totalling around half and hour. A pretty good effort we thought and just over half the time it took us last time we went by the other route.
On day two of our visit we targeted a couple of areas to cache starting off with Hagley Park in the morning where after starting with a DNF we ended up with a 13 to 3 score sheet in our favour. That was followed by a walk around Roto Kohatu in the evening which resulted in a score sheet of 3/2 in our favour.
Today is day three of our trip and we are returning home. The traffic is a lot heavier than when we came south two days ago so that is going to make things interesting for caching along the way. As with all the caches we targeted on our trip home this was a QEF PnG. You wouldn't believe it... just as we stopped to get this cache I received a text from its CO asking for an assist on another Blenheim cache. Actually, he has had trouble with that CO before... in fact we all have. After a few back and forth texts, he finally found it. We didn't need any assistance on this one.

One of my fav ways of spending a weekend day - jump into the car with a direction in mind, stopping for caches along the way, enjoying the journey. This time I piled a couple of 'kids' into the car also, and we headed to Kaikoura making the most of the road being open for the weekend and not that much traffic thanks to the Picton detour still in place. Needless to say that we never made it as far as Kaikoura, although we leaft early enough and got quite close. Try explaining that on a monday at work - where did you go over the weekend? Well, Kaikoura, but we did not quite make it there. Oh, is the road still so bad? LOL!
This was our first and last stop in Cheviot today - I will need to revisit to tie some loose ends at some stage, but the rest fo the troupes were keen to press on. TFTC!!

Kaikoura - Amberley. Last day before heading back to the N.I
A day on the road picking up caches where we thought it was suitable to pull over in the camper.
Geocaching is a great way to tiki tour the area. Lots of farming countryside today.
Thanks for placing this cache bumandworker

I am catching up on my backlog of caches and I see that I missed logging my finds from a fun day I had with a Jess.daphne, The Burnsy and a muggle friend, in Cheviot! We logged as JeJeBuN to save time. Tftc.
We enjoyed a visit to Cheviot today, The Burnsy our muggle friend and I came up from Chch and met up with Injeanious who came down from Kaikoura. We signed our logs as JeJeBuN to save time and space.
This was our last find of the day, TFTC!

I have been eyeing up Cheviot for a while. With the end of daylight savings looming I decided that today was the day. Unfortunately I started my day with a dnf. Sadly the search before this one was fruitless. After my second dnf of the day I had find number 5. This find. Now for some late lunch.

Here on vacation with SwagHo from Vancouver Island, Canada visiting and geocaching in NZ TFTC.
Quick find. thanks for sharing this with us. TFTC, lots of damage from the quake
Found this while searching for the graves of White Gypsies grandparents, uncles and an aunt. This mission also successful. TFTC
We're visiting from Florida, USA. That was great fun. Thanks for placing the cache.
had to revert to the hint but it is still there. bit of scratching around. although log was to damp to sign it. tftc
Found while on a cycle trip from Picton to Christchurch, great to combine cycling with my interest in Geocaching, and also have an excuse for a micro break. *TFTC bumandworker #8562*. And indeed, it was the last stop despite being early afternoon - the heat was too much, so enjoyed a lazy afternoon and evening pottering around and exploring and enjoying Cheviot - such a wonderful place.
I didn't even get out of the car for this one after reading previous logs.. so not even a DNF from me,
I do like a stroll around a cemetery
This little plot is wonderfully hilly and green, between the stones [^]
Up on high overlooking the netherworld,
I poked around for the cache
And after 10 minutes could not find one !!
Looks like a bit of chainsawing and mulching has happened here in the last couple of weeks,
so maybe the cache got buried,
or removed ??
Dunno for sure !!

[green] At last I am on my way to the mega. Two weeks of insane caching in Christchurch. Looking at 7 Badgegen upgrades, a 200+ cache day and, of course, the Mega. But first I have to get there. It took me 9 hours to drive to Christchurch, pretty much what I expected, found 55 caches along the way.
Hey! F T F! First to find the empty logbook! Thanks for the maintenance
