As this cache has been out of action for too long, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

13-Oct-15
I noticed that this cache has been in need of owner attention for a period of time well in excess of the period of "a few weeks" as contemplated by the cache guidelines published on Geocaching.com. While I feel that Geocaching.com should hold the location for you and block other caches from entering the area around this cache for a reasonable amount of time, we can't do so forever. Please either repair/replace this cache, or archive it (using the archive listing link in the upper right) so that someone else can place a cache in the area, and geocachers can once again enjoy visiting this location.

If you plan on repairing this cache, please log a note to the cache (not email) within the next 30 days so I don't archive the listing for non-communication.

29-Jul-14
Checked all the poles.. Not there

09-Feb-14
I was in the area for a Sunday drive and decided to collect some caches while doing so. Although I found the "remains" of this cache, there was nothing to log and unfortunately this cache really needs some maintenance.

So just logging a DNF to avoid others trying to find this cache until it is up and running again.

06-Feb-14
Originally logged and found whilst out with mum (keylev) but now have own account so logging all finds I was present at and helped with.

Thanks for the cache.

Thanks lukeduke1 for the cache,

Quick find as part of the cache was on the ground - put back together, but no logbook unfortunately.

Great hide though.

02-Oct-13
Bison tube working well. Extra stealth required for this one.TFTC

07-Sep-13
Found string. Had a spare bison tube cache on me. So have attached it.

07-Sep-13
Dear cache owner. Have attached a bison cache to the string. Can you please go and check it to ensure it is attached properly as I did it very quickly with muggles around

31-Aug-13
As others have said, found the lid, but the cache is missing.

31-Aug-13
Well we found the lid!! As the other entries have said - the rest of the container is not there - possibly well down in the arrow!. TFTC

31-Aug-13
The only thing accessible is the string - so this needs a visit by the CO to repair

26-Aug-13
Only found the lid and nothing else.

25-Aug-13
The log book is very damp and falling aprt may need to replace.

Found!!! but could not sign as log and half of cache missing.

Found this easily enough but was very hard to sign as the log was very wet & had turned into pulp... unfortunately we didn't have a spare log sheet on us today.

18-Jan-13
Why is it the last one you look at? Very good hide. t4tc

05-Jan-13
Always enjoy these types of hides. Had to dodge a young boy riding his bike before grabbing the cache. Only just managed to scrawl my name on the log as its very damp. TFTC! Big Grin

24-Dec-12
Quick find. Interesting spot for a cache! Loved the idea though. TFTC

20-Oct-12
Ingenious hiding spot and fixing Smile. I read the previous logs and brought along a temporary log for use until the maintenance happens. Sure enough, the previous logs were papermache. I placed the cache upside down in an attempt to prevent water getting in. I hope it works. TFTC Smile

15-Sep-12
Nice hide. Unusable log - totally sodden. Massive muggledge in area!

15-Sep-12
Log so wet it's a blob of mush. Needs replacement

26-Aug-12

22-Apr-12
Log very damp - see found log for details.

22-Apr-12
Quick find on a quiet Sunday afternoon, although the log was pretty wet inside the cache. I didn't remove it for fear of ripping it. The log will do better dried out and inside a plastic bag or inside a small container in the main one as moisture is getting in somehow.

17-Apr-12
Quick find today in an area with some amazing views, pity about all the houses going up, but then you can't stop progress, All quiet, TFTC

03-Jan-12
Nice easy find. Log wet so did not sign.

22-Oct-11
Easy find, forgot my ink stick so had to take it back to the car to sign. Not much traffic, got a little careless, a driver saw me on the roundabout, but not too close to the cachesite.

20-Oct-11
This is a very tricky spot as it is surrounded by muggles homes. No muggle saw me (well not that i know off) but there were two young lads that were looking for it as i was logging it down the street. Not sure if they were legit or what. Just letting you know. Hopefully it is still there.

19-Oct-11
Found it but stealth was needed. Kids loved this hide, thanks.

11-Oct-11
Did not look at hint and had some trouble finding it. Unfortunatley two boys skating by yelled out "ARE YOU GEO CACHING?". Umm was the reply but how else do you explain what your doing standing in the middle of a round about. "We'll show you where it is" was the reply. So technically did not find it i guess Smile TFTC

21-Aug-11
Had to be quick here as there were the odd muggle about.

Cheers for the cache.

Needed a cache today to fill a gap in my caching calender.
After a DNF earlier today I drove out here as this was on of the closer to home unfound ones.
Nice area with friendly neighbours.
One of them even came out and we had a chat about geocaching.

Out with the Future Finder today finding caches in Beachlands and Maraetai. Had a good idea what I was looking for as I approached GZ and sure enough, a super quick and easy find. The five year old even signed his own name in the log. Cheers for the cache!

16-Apr-11

09-Apr-11
Quick find while in the area. Busy area.

06-Apr-11
found it TFTC

04-Apr-11
This one is 46m from home so the whole family had to take the short walk to the round about as the darkness was starting to set in. Managed to find it just as the GPS finally found the satellites. Quick find just before putting the kids to bed. There is not too much traffic down this side of the road so should be ok. FTF # 86. TFTC
