Heading back home after the UFBA conference in tautahi and had about 4hrs to kill at Christchurch Airport. Beautiful sunny afternoon meant I could get a few paces and caches in before boarding. Found a nest of missing balls and thought clever hide, I like it! Then lold when the truth hit. Tee off was pretty quickly found and signed, with a FP for the little twist. Mihi ki a koe, LittleG Magic, mo te keteroki #486Ka kite tautahi
Im on my way home to Brisbane from the Dunedin Mega where I had a great time. I had a few hours between flights so made the most of it - walking around the area finding caches. At the third tree I looked at, I looked up and spotted it. Im glad it didnt take long to find. Logbook signed and replaced as found. Tftc
Finally. Woo hoo! It is well over a year since our last visit, and we gather the cache was refurbished in January. We felt we would have managed this time even if the cache and other items were not lying on the ground among the branches. Reading the logs, which we had studied carefully before embarking on the expedition, we know that the items were not where they were supposed to be. Thus, we have replaced them according to our best guess, photographed our placement, and sent the photos to the CO. Thanks, LittleG Magic!
Had a rough shot and thought wow found that fast I found it was a sand trap after a bit more searching and I discovered the tee off
I had another visit today and managed to get a smiley , I'm not sure what happened on the first attempt but i was looking no where near where I was today. But glad to finally get it found, cheers
Day 3 of our Epic Christchurch trip with Reschedule. As we are flying out later today we didnt want to stray too far from the airport, so we targeted a few near by.I had previously looked at this one, managed to find a few decoy items, but in the darkness it was a bit tricky. So we decided to return in day light and the actual cache was soon in hand.
Having solved a bunch of mysteries over the past couple of months, including the night before finding them. A spontaneous trip down was made by Kiwi Does Stuff and team Reschedule to collect some Canterbury caches. We have headed out to set ourselves a personal best for a days caching. The perfect caching wagon (a rental car) has been acquired allowing us to go anywhere with ease. All of the caches have made for an enjoyable weekend to remember and resulted in a solid and best days caching.Apologies for the generic log, all caches signed are a mixture of Res, Resch & Reschedule - a big thanks to the CO for creating, placing and maintaining all of their caches. TFTC!
On the way back from the airport I saw a free park right next to GZ so pulled over for another search, this time with a hint from CO. I'd been so close last time but looking at the completely wrong level!
Def gets a fav point from me!Within seconds I noticed two very obvious placed hint items and that made me find the (what-I-thought)-GC super quickly, my mind jumping how quickly I got it, just to unroll the log and realise that nope, that's not it. But it made me laugh out loud, .I wasn't in too much of a hurry, this was the last GC to find before I had to walk back to the airport and still had over an hour. So I kept looking, checked from different sides, angles, positions, other places... and then I spotted it, yay.
At last! Tricky to see, a glint was all I got then an interesting retrieval for a vertically challenged person. J- u-s-t. Very glad to turn this into a happy yellow . TFTC
Oh the joy in finding this cache is huge. This is our 5th time and we hit gold. So happy in getting rid of the blue frown. Went out today for a few caches as a treat. We have never struck anything like this experience before. Thanks for the cache LittleG Magic.
At last! Searching for this cache has been an ordeal! Even with specific instructions from the CO, I couldnt spot the thing. After rethinking my approach and considering the DT, I decided to give it another go today. Had it in no time. Have a FP for the aggravation, LGM!
Thought wed found it - but no. Would have been our last find in New Zealand as heading back to U.K. tomorrow - this means well have to return
Really happy to see this cache had maintenance so did a detour lol to try again. The search began and then gutted to find a decoy. Kept going, and going with our search. Was sure 4th time would be more successful. Managed to leave plenty of forensic evidence, as proof we have been. So disappointed.
With the recent CO check, figured Id be fourth time lucky here. Ive been over this tree so many times, I thought I couldnt lose. With a few hours to kill before a dentist appointment, I set in for a thorough, systematic hunt. Not knowing at what level the thing could be, it was a long search. Turned over a lot of groundcover and got my probing stick into a lot of crevices. I finally spotted theotherthing, which was a tad disheartening and thats about when I called it a day.
Performed a ' refresh maintenance' on this cache - too many hints are given out by other cachers. Made it 'more predictable' but tried to make Little G proud ! ( My advice would be to ignore all photos and previous logs and hints )
**Day**Doing a tour in and around Christchurch by bike. Nice and easy going on the flat terrain. Just had the webcam cache as main target and doing a lot of tradies and labs along the way. After a while the idea came to make this my day with the most different cache types found. Unfortunately I could not see an event for today but other than that I found: tradie, multi, mystery, lab, webcam, virtual, letterbox, wherigo and earth. That smashed my previous record of 6 and set the new record to 9, very nice! Thanks to all CO's for a lovely day of caching!**Cache**The previous message of the owner should make it easier to look for this one but still no luck. Did not search for very long though after all those DNF's.
I bet it is there ! These are difficult caches that can easily get hidden in fact it's in a broken golf club & quite hard to find as it is only the shaft - will take a trip out in next few weeks
Today we had a little walk along the street. A good chance to cache the cache but we also had no luck or tomatoes on our eyes.
Rummaged around a bit, but not too thoroughly as the last few logs were DNFs. Didn't find it.
I'm not saying it isn't there, but the last log would suggest it may not. Maybe a more helpful clue?
Came back today for our third time at trying to find this cache. A previous finder came and met us here to help. After one hour yes truely we three gave up and admitted defeat.
No lack of hiding places here, but I was not able to put my hands on this one today.
TFTC, This is a very short stroll from home, and well past due to locate it. A short stop at GZ and I had my hands on it. As it had been a while since anyone had logged it, I didn't even take the Pen as intended only to be a quick preliminary search Will head back at another stage to record in the log.
Found!
The previous log was very wet and squished so I added a new piece of paper in there to act as a replacement
Very well hidden.

Out grabbing a few caches around the airport.
A quick search but couldn’t find it. Will have to come back when weather is better!

I was out dropping my mum off at the airport like a good son, and thought I'd be stupid not to collect some nearby caches! Just after 8am, I thought I'd be able to sneak into here without too many cars going by. I must have had luck on my side as I was able to find it quite quickly. Unfortunately as mentioned the log is unsignable. Thanks for putting this together, nicely themed.
TFTC LittleG Magic, the cache was found in good order Signed, sealed and returned to GZ. 4 find(s) of 26 today, making this find #2796

Having just done the aviation adventure lab, I had a quick look for trads in the area, and this one with lots of faves caught my eye. Should I put shouldn't I... with 3 dnfs from very experienced cachers...
Had a good look, about to give up, I messaged a friend who found 4 years ago, but found it before I got a reply.
Well done, I do get frustrated at golf, hence the reason I threw my clubs out when I moved recently.
Log is wet, and unattainable coming out in pieces. Will send photo to CO. Thanks for the frustrating walk.

Dunno of its just too late in the day after being awake since 4am but after 20mins of hunting high and low and in all the most obscure places I got frustrated by being stabbed and made sticky I had to walk away
Team BOP on another crazy mission again to the South Island. Lockdown gave us a lot of free time that we directed into Canterbury’s many Geo-Arts and with the Auckland 2020 Mega postponement, Christchurch was an easy decision. Team BOPs current incarnation is DavidsonClan, NZFlossy, McJandals and myself and we’ve signed all the logs as Team BOP to save time and log space.
So Labour Weekend 2020, it’s a numbers mission, the Cachly cut’n’paste template is sorted and while I unapologetically use this tool, I truly appreciate you placing this cache for us to find. This was a neat little cache, found quickly and in good condition thanks to accurate coords, a straight forward placement and a good hint. It was also a good warm up for the days of non-stop caching we've got planned.
Cheers LittleG Magic, TFTC

As Auckland Mega has been postponed we decided to do a trip south to Christchurch. Four of us from Team BOP joined up to share a car and accomodation. I always love these weekends as the company is great and makes our days and nights out caching lots of fun. We have done lots of puzzles in preparation and did some long windy roads to get them. Found lots of great caches and thanks to all the COs for the effort that goes into these Please excuse the copied logs and I will try to make some individual notes on as many as I can This sort of trip is where I find the cachly app very valuable. TFTC
With the Mega Covid cancelled this year a part of Team BoP decided to come south and try get all our solved puzzles. So here we are!
I am logging using the Cachly app template so please excuse generic logging along the way. It’s just my way of keeping track, but I do genuinely thank each and every one of you cache owners for taking the time and energy to place these cache. Many Thanks for bringing me here. Cheers.

On a mission to the south after mega in Auckland was canceled. Team Bop booked airfares and here we are. Thanks all COs for your efforts. Due to numbers please excuse copy and paste logs in advance.
Covid-19 Level 4 Its Simple
If you touch a cache container, you will leave viruses on the plastic, logbook and pen. Those will remain infectious for up to 4 days. Suppose some other person finds the cache tomorrow. They are likely to pick up those viruses and will get infected.

Visiting Christchurch from Wellington for the weekend and have a few hours to spare, so a caching I will go. Didn't take too many swings to hit this one. Nice hide but the log paper is falling apart. TFTC
Fantastic hide, I love the container. Paper is disintegrating and needs maintenance. Found with everdene22. Tftc
An interesting cache container - expecting to take a long time to find it but in the end found it within seconds. TFTC!
The kids hunted for this but all they found was a golf ball each. I decided to help and found it straight away.
Cool find on our first day in NZ! Very creative cache! And very relatable haha.
TFTC!! Find 398

Great hide lol very nice. Tricky cause all the muggles cars lol. Log paper needs replacing
Having tried to snare "Hook it" ([GC2Y1ZN](https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC2Y1ZN_little-g-says-hook-it-canterbury)) for years without success, we tend to avoid Little G hides. They are just so devious and frustrating. Since we found a puzzle final within walking distance down the road, we thought we would give this one a go. But the GPS was jumping around a lot in the shade of the huge macrocarpas. So after poking around for some time we gave up. Miss Hit; missed it.
We had to search a little bit but we found the rest of the golf career.

We have found this cache when we were waiting for our plane to Sydney. Greetings from Czech republic
Waiting for departure to Sydney we went to find some caches near the airport. Good box. Thanks.
Good to tick this off after a previous dnf. Checked a couple along from the earlier hunt. Thanks
Golf may be frustrating, but it was an ultra- frustrating and fruitless effort in getting the log out. I'd say a replacement is needed.
Thiss cache took 4 attempts, and all I got was a photo log.

Found!! About my third or fourth attempt. Finally managed to get the eyes focused today. Love the cache container. FP. Thanks to all cache owners for taking the time to place and maintain your caches. BJ25. Find # 1698
Both of us searched around for about 5 mins, working from tree to tree, and finally found this aptly themed cache. Smiled when i found it, yes I have felt that way too when playing golf. Took a little while to extract log, and then signed the log. Fav for the fun themed container
Final morning in this wonderful land. Have to return car and cache a plane. Hopefully we can return another year.Cache was not too hard to find, hint helped, good thing I have folding tweezers on my neck string with the pen, to pull that sorry piece of paper out. Found a spot and marked it ZE. TFTC
Guess I was too tired, and gps did not want to cooperate
After en ekstrem long travel with no sleep I arrived in Christchurch (from Norway) in the afternoon. As I had only 1 day here I decidet to do a little afternoon walk to try to catch these caches I was most interested inn. I got a busticket from the hotell to get into town.

Are you coming with me?

Happy to nab this quickly with little blue hen. Log disintegrated as we poured it out so inserted a dry sheet. TFTCSL
I didn't have much to do on this day off from work down here in Christchurch so I decided to go for a little walk and grab a few caches - I ended up getting seven, including two multis. I walked over 15,000 steps and suffered a lot in the shelterless, windless path I had chosen for myself.
I did quite a bit of back and forth searching on this one and after a while I decided to really get the GPS to settle down and used satellite imagery to find a good GZ. This lead me to a couple of trees further down. Then it was quickly spotted and not as tricky as I had expected.
FP from me for the novel cache.

Mom's coming over to NZ for the first time, so we went to pick her up from the airport. Of course, we had some time to pick up a geocache or two on the way
It's a LittleG one, so I didn't get my hopes up but as it's right on the way, why not try!?
We found it surprisingly quickly. But the log is a complete mushy mess. Managed to dry it just a little.

In Christchurch for a family celebration. We’d just dropped off our brother at the airport and my sister decided we’d look for a few caches on our way ‘home’. Took a while to find this one but got there eventually. #1524. TFTC.
Down in Christchurch for the weekend for a celebration and we had just dropped one brother off at the airport. The other brother (a geocacher) and I stopped here on the way back to our accommodation to grab a smiley. Took a while to find but we got there, TFTC
Excellent & almost accidental find by the geokid. Dropped Geograndpa at the airport (laden with trackables to take overseas) & pulled over when we spotted this on the map. Log was like papier mache so could not sign. Great cache!
ReadyRex found your cache. A few minutes of searching and we had it. The log is totally soaked and was not able to retrieve with it shredding to bits so we couldn't sign the log. TFTH
Mrs's was in Christchurch for the day on a work related course, thought she needed to find a cache as she walked between the conference and airport and this one was on the path. Once the right tree was found the cache was quickly spotted and log signed. Thanks for the placement and easy find
Our last cache of the day with Jude_E . She spotted it after many tries in the past. Moral support needed maybe!! TFTHC
At last! With Arandee staying I said they had to come help me find this one as I'd tried so many time fruitlessly. They were my lucky charm and I found it in no time. Had had a hint so knew what I was looking for. The log needs replacing but managed to squeeze our names in as JE RND. Thanks for the cache. So good to get this off the dnf list!
For a 3.5 difficulty geocache it ended up being quite easy. Very clever cache! TFTC!!
Been a while (about 5 years) since I last tried to find this one. Had just picked up RuruNZ from the airport and once out of the airport surrounds stopped to see what caches we would try for and just happened to park almost on top of this location. Unfortunately even with her help, the cache was elusive to me yet again. One day I will conquer this one.
I was staying in the hotel just down the road, so decided as it was dark it'd be a good time to nip across the road and find this one. Did take a little while even with the help of my head lamp!
