Nice, quick find after a great walk in a fabulous forest! Thanks for making this series, and a good excuse to have an adventure! Log in perfect condition. Cheers
Came from the cannon ball run event. Joint with 5G Clan. Quick park and grab no issues here. I wrote in the log and placed the cache carefully back as found. TFTC. Thanks tmann421 for placing this Traditional cache! tmann421 , ! 2 March 2024 at 5:02PM#889th Find
Found after a great walk thru the woods, thanks for bringing us here.Log is a bit soggy.
Just to note - the log is wet and fragile at the moment, so may need to be replaced soon.

Mānawatia a Matariki! Decided to check out Hemi Matenga reserve for the first time on a beautiful sunny Friday.
Quick find of an excellent hide. TFTC

Another cracking day in this very unseasonal June, so off we headed (with Mumma muggle in tow) for a walk around the Kohekohe loop. We were checking out the descriptions and location of each cache from the previous one before racing each other to find from memory.
We both came pretty close to falling on our ass sprinting down the hill for this one.
Thanks!

29 April 2023 12:56 TFTC tmann421 for placing this cache, number 12599 for me. Quick find according to the hint. Really enjoyed this short walk!
My second stop for the day was the Kohekohe Walk. I have already found the other 27 or so caches further up the hill, found over two previous trips, but I never managed to get around this loop.
I did the caches in order so this was number four of the loop. GPSr took me straight there - nice quick find. TFTC.

A nice quick find today. I notice that I dnfed in 2012! A long time between drinks. Thanks for placing your cache.
Ms_KR and I are off for a wee break "up north". Time to move on from the Kapiti Coast, over to Martinborough, through a less well travelled route. The weather was mostly good, but there was the odd shower of rain. Maybe tomorrow we'll get back to summer!
Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. .

Found! Nice tricky little container, still no pen, one more to complete the loop.
Out with KiwiKatieG. Got an hour to kill before meeting the folks for lunch. Thought we'd grab some caches along the way. TFTC
A nice simple find here. I had hardly even made it out of the car before I heard “got it” from . A part of Waikanae I hadn’t been to before; thanks for bringing us here. KTG
Nice, quick and easy find. I was expecting to get wet and muddy due to all the rain we’ve had. Log all nice and dry. Thank you for the cache.
After failing to find last time out, it was good to get this one on a park'n'grab. All good with cache, tftc!
Original cache hide has been removed during DOC work to the area.
I have had to go to a simple hide now, but still hope you enjoy finding the cache and walking the trail.

Started off the walk here, probably the wrong way! Pleasantly surprised to find it here after the DNF’s. Log must have been replaced.
After a hard day's caching I wanted to stop here for two DNF's I'd had last time I was in the area. I didn't find it again, and stopped because in trying to separate something suspicious from the sign I instead separated some fingernail from finger.
Honestly I wouldn't have logged this at all except I want to record something weird I found. Under a couple of rocks here I found folded up notes with lovely handwriting. Last one dated to today. Seems like someone is dropping notes for someone else to find? Strange but sweet.

Curses! After a successful few hours I only had two caches left to grab here before hitting the road. Sadly, I was muggled at both of the last two. Here I was muggled by the gardner of a neighbouring property. At No. 5 I was muggled by a family whose kids were swimming in the creek. Grrrrr
Decided to spent some time around Otaki and Waikanae picking up some caches. Finished the drive by and now time to stretch the legs on this loop walk. This was a great hide. Thanks.
Tricky and fun. Co-ords wandered so used hint to locate. All dry and tucked away again. TFTC.
Sad end to a nice walk with a couple of DNFs. This one i had a quick look for but neighbor wad out gardening.
Loved the ingenuity of this one, definitely deserving of a favourite point. It had us confused for a while but we eventually spotted something out of place and had the cache in hand. Cache number 5 of 6.
First find of the day.
Good intention here but back in a days. Quite expose now making find pretty much straightforward.

We have been looking for this for around 5 months and still haven't find it. Can anyone drop us a hint?
Third time lucky with this one! Group of 8 of us searching. Had to think hard about what shouldn’t really be here. Found it with a bit of trial and error. Great hiding spot! TFTC.
Lots of green waste been dumped in the area. Will come back for another look some time
now that I'm a premium member I am able to award favourite points, so I'm awarding some to the more memorable and enjoyable caches that I've found, added a favourite point for this one as it was a tricky hide for us to find
Was in the area so decided to give the cache another go as couldn't find it on the first attempt. Straightforward find today though! Nice hide. TFTC
Last time I didn't find this one, so returned today after a trip to Staglands with Dad & plannerPat...
The coords were hard to pin-down here but with the help of the hints this clever hide was soon signed and returned with no muggles to be seen

Only a couple of options here and we soon found the "not really required" hint object. A FP from us for a well constructed cache a bit out of the ordinary - need more of these sorts of hides in the Wellington area as compared other regions we seem to be "home of the sistema water collectors".
Found with hannahhnz and hollyhnz, while hayleyhnz was at a gymnastics competition nearby.
It took a little while before I spotted the hide. Nicely done.
Thanks.

Many thanks to the CO for advising that the cache was placed with permission - that's a great relief because of course it means the hide is all kosher, and now we can give it a favourite point. Also thanks for amending the writeup to make sure people don't fiddle with the electrical box.
For safety, suggest the CO:
- contacts whatever company owns the electrical box near this hide and notifies them that the cover is loose and needs to be repaired.
- includes in the cache description and hint that the cache is NOT in, on or behind the electrical box!

This container was placed with permission - they even specifically painted it for me.
None of the other 200 finders including 2 publishers have ever mentioned an electrical box which I have personally never seen.

Did this one last in the loop, since it was where we had parked the car. Have concerns about this placement, for two reasons:
# The coordinates pointed us to an electrical box, so we checked that first only to find... that the metal cover was unfastened and fell off when we touched it. And there is live wiring inside...! So, for safety, the cache is NOT in, on or behind the electrical box!
# The actual hide is one we've seen before, a couple of times in other regions and several different versions around Wgton. Technically extremely well done. But sadly, it's not in line with the geocaching hide guidelines. This sort of hide should be done using a non-damaging fastening e.g. adhesive velcro or cable ties, which would allow the cache to be removed without leaving any trace of having been there.
3 Nov - as noted above, the CO has advised that the hide was placed with permission, so it is all okay!
