Had a good look but DNF. Now that I am logging I find that we are the third and that it has since been disabled. Water has been right up under the bridge.
Second DNF in a row. Too clever for us today. Time to start our journey home now.
It's not about the numbers!!! - - - Yeah right. When you're up to 97 for the month, you have a white square to fill on your calendar and it's the most beautiful day - - - are you going to continue doing boring chores inside - - - or head west and see if you can find a few caches? ???? - - - You don't have to be psychic to work out the answer.
Given the name of this cache, I was busy looking for something ovoid and a little larger - - but soon found something a familiar size and shape. TFTC. Good one.

Out to do a few quick caches while the sun shines. TFTC. Nice to visit this area again. I used to live this side of the river.

Going to westport via as many geocaches as possible on the way from Motueka. A nice quick stop for the cache. SL TFTC
Found this cache on a road trip from Christchurch to Takaka for the Christmas holidays, went through the Lewis Pass then onto the Motueka Valley Highway and over the Takaka Hill. This cache was number 35 of 38 for today, part of my biggest day to date. TFTC (559)
Jasper, Billy and Luke have found it, not kicked it and left their phone contacts. Thanks guys. TFTC #2542
Don't understand the name?? Easy find tho as it was in view enough for us to see it straight away at night!
Couldn't possibly pass it and kicking it just didn't seem right. A good place to stop and have a stretch though on the journey today. TFTC
# 800 for us only fifty thoundand or so behind the worlds best but we still enjoy the hunt TFTC

Ohh. Now I get the cache name when I see the photo. Not going up the Baton today. Heading home from Tapawera so turned this into a drive by. Admired the newly renovated Bridge. Last time I was here, two guys were painstakingly prepping and painting.

We had considered a trip up the Baton but concreting meant we were not on the road early enough. Decided on a loop drive and found this as we drove by the river towards Motueka. Warm in the sun although the cool air reminded us that winter approaches. Thanks
A quick stop on the way up the Baton this morning. There are now 5 caches - of varying degrees of difficulty - accessible from or along the Baton Rd - more if you decide to use this as a loop up to Mt Arthur via Ellis TFTC, Biggles.

Nice quick find. And yep, we decided to take the long way home. Well longer. We went up the valley, and back to Christchurch. Via Greymouth. Opps Cheers Gav [7795]
Found it on way up to road end to start a easter weekend tramp into my favorite fishing river.
Nice One!!!!!!!!!! Just a bit of a detour home after a visit with family in Tapawera. Many found memories of this bridge that we always cross to proceed up the valley each year to pick Blueberries. Much fun. No worries with the find. Thanks
Yesterday was our wedding anniversary but not being a very nice day we didnt acheive much (tried another wherigo but our phone wasnt playing ball ) today was a much nicer day so we took a look at the map and decided up the Baton might be a go so this was first of the day and first blood to Stretch0 a quick find and sign and we were on our way up a road we have not been before!!! thanks for the cache
Took a cruise out this way and what do you know there was a cache in my path!!!! Wonder how that happened . Took a few minutes to grab and cache name became all too apparent. Signed log and concealed back in it's place ready for next round of visits TFTC.
