Funnily enough, I had been unsuccessfully searching at this location for a puzzle cache for 5-10 minutes, only to realise that that particular cache was actually hidden in a nearby location/structure. Upon reviewing archived but possibly available geocaches, this was the only one in Kilroy, and having already given this a decent search, I stopped once again to have one last check whilst utilising the hint and a few past photos. I matched up a couple of spots and have a pretty good feel around, but no joy. I wouldn't be surprised if the cache was still here, but from a risked time v reward perspective, I felt like I gave it a just search. Thanks anyway jasenjanine for the cache placement.----------During this extended weekend, it was a trip north to find the 65 Roses geoart in Kilcoy, followed by two days boating on Lake Somerset to defeat the Dark Side series joined with [GurTheWanderer](https://coord.info/PRWMPWQ) and [stairman1](https://coord.info/PR4R27Z).Today, I headed north via Caboolture, and I made stops in D'Aguilar and Woodford, before stopping at Stoney Creek in Bellthorpe National Park. Towards the latter morning, I set off finding the *65 Roses* geoart concentrating on the eastern circuit via Mount Kilcoy first, before then heading north, and back into Kilcoy for lunch. After tackling the central geocaches, I proceeded west through Woolmar, before finishing the series via the southern stem. As I was staying in D'Aguilar tonight, I returned via Mount Archer and a detour into the northern section of D'Aguilar National Park. A nice and cool weather day for collecting this series, and most of the geocaches were in good condition.

Nice cache Nick tank Thanks for bringing me here

Nyssa urged us to chase this one today after collecting some nearby roses, very glad we headed her advice as it was an awesome hide that we enjoyed grabbing TFTC

I really like this cache being small is sometimes really great it made it super easy to grab this cache from its little hidey hole

19/5/18, 1:20 am Find #1707
Well this one turned out to be a bit of an incidental find. Out this way tonight in the search of some FTFs on lovely roses, we obviously hit delirium stage as we pulled up here and charged over to make a floral find assuming it was the spot for a particular cache but not paying attention to what our phones were telling us. Well we looked as the hint suggested and found the cache immediately. However when the next finder headed to the cache and found a clean log, he contacted us and asked where we found the one we signed.
Oooops! Turns out it was THIS cache we had stumbled on instead of the other one, claiming a surprise 2 years of unloved archive goodness instead of an FTF. Red FaceBig Grin
Thanks for the cache jasenjanine.

When your friends message you at 11pm and you are in your pjs and about to go to bed, and they say how about we get some ftfs? What do you say??
You say - sure, see you soon! Who needs sleep anyway!
I'd not really been out caching at night hunting for ftfs before and now I've been twice in one week! A third trip to Kilcoy in one week too.
I did wonder why the other girls headed this way when my phone was pointing somewhere else but I thought I'd put the numbers in wrong. What an unusual coincidence, that this cache has a blank log.

26-Jun-17
Spoke to the last finder of this cache and it looks like it is no longer there from what he explained to us.

26-Jun-17
Sadly, we have decided to put this one to rest Sad. Too far away now to check on it ourselves, so time to go. A big thank you to the Parkos for the maintenance in the past few years Smile.
Truth be known [?] ... chances are it's still there somewhere!

21-May-17

24-Nov-16
This is either a very hard cache or it's missing. Sad

21-Oct-16
This one must be so small and tricky, that we did not find it. Next time better.

27-Sep-16
I hate these damn things.

24-Sep-16
On our way to Caloundra enjoying the sunshine. It was with some trepidation that we approached this cache as there is a similar one in Two Wells (SA) that we have not yet found - been looking off and on for 18 months!! Spent awhile without success.

Thank you once again to our special friends Parkos for checking on this one again... Although it appeared to be AWOL, they did strike gold & found it nowhere where it should have been Sad

The container had seen better days so it has been replaced, along with a new logsheet Smile

For future hunters, please be stealthy when searching for this one & make sure that nobody is watching you... Please be careful to replace in the correct spot & if you don't like searching for tiny things on huge pieces of machinery this cache is probable not for you Wink

Happy hunting!

Dnf but had a very interesting and informative chat with a gentleman from the rsl who was very knowledgable about the tank. Geo daughters were very interested and asked him lots of great questions. Thanks to this man for his history lesson. Was great will be back again to have a better look.

06-Mar-16
Bad case of cache creep I'm afraid. After DNFing it last time, found it attached in plain sight. Hid it a bit better, but kid is missing.

28-Feb-16
Found, once I worked out which side was 'passenger'.

27-Feb-16
Great one. Thanks !

Sunrday. Slow Puncture met at Kilcoy early this morning with some other intrepids from the Northside Puzzle Group to nab some higher terrain and difficulty caches.

We had been here more than once before, so we watched on with interest as others from our group searched for a while and then found it. Always intrigued to see how cache creep can occur even in such a restricted location. [8)] At least this one went back exactly from whence it came!

Thanks ***jasenjanine***, for showing us this place. Again!

25-Jan-16
Good find, thanks! Very Happy

08-Jan-16
I could have picked a cooler day, feels like the mid 30's and spent a good 1/2hr in the midday sun finding this one. Talk about Mad Dogs and Englishmen... Mad dogs & GeoCachers... T4TC.

01-Jan-16
Woohoo! We found it.
Was so cool to see everyone's names and dates.

30-Dec-15
Epic find by first-time cachers TeamMaud. This was the last cache for our road trip. We thought we'd have a DNF for our last cache, but with 4 kids, 4 adults and no muggles we had the cache in our hands in 5 minutes flat!

29-Dec-15
I thought I was going to walk away deflated. But Growlife found it easily.
Bring a pencil sharpener if you don't have a pen

Second visit for Joel first for Glenn.

29-Dec-15
Tricky! Thought we were going to have to go home empty handed!

28-Dec-15
Took us long enough seeing how it wasn't very hidden. Good placement though. Comments gave the hint we needed.

26-Dec-15
Second attempt. Don't know how we missed it the first time. Smile
Great place to visit.

# 1146 - Not just Friday, but a whole weekend caching with IolantheK! We're on our way to youngoldfella's event in Nanango and taking our time. What's to hurry with so many smileys to pick up on our way.

I missed this one on the way home from Toowoomba last week and was surprised when IolantheK stopped here. Glad to check this off my list now. IolantheK had done this one, so I got a bonus: a little bit of guidance. Wink

Out & about collecting a few smilies around Yarraman with a few extra before & afters.

Signed & replaced as found.
Today is shaping up to be a hot one!

08-Nov-15
Found it. Great hiding place

02-Nov-15
No luck, looked for ages. Felt we couldn't spend any more time without looking suspicious. Hope we can have success on another trip to the dam.

23-Oct-15
Spent a good five minutes or so looking, but ran out of time as we had to meet someone. Just because it eluded us don't mean I won't be back for another go.

20-Oct-15
Out for a day of caching with fng_affl, doing a lap of the Geo art map down in Toogoolawah.

Having searched for this one previously, I was determined to find it today. Armed with some valuable intel, we quickly found what we came for the elusive Leopard Tracks Big Grin.

This cache was found in good condition after a short search, bringing our grand total to 1769 smilies.

Thanks jasenjanine for showing us this area, and for placing and maintaining this cache for us and others to find.

20-Oct-15
Out for the day with Orange Crew on the hunt for many caches. This was no 1 for the day.
Watching OC clamour about on this big beast was quite funny. But soon had the cache in hand due to some good advice. Many tanks for the hide. Had never been to this part of town and would not have without this little tank.

18-Oct-15
10.55 and we finally found it after crawling all over and inder it.
It was a "shock" to find it where it was.

06-Oct-15
Came back for a second as we did not a DNF. Quick search this after doing some research and voilà. Cache in hand. Thanks to the tank and found with Happy Jackie.

06-Oct-15
After 2 attempts Bulldog Trev got his hands on the cache. Got a bit dirty with all the feeling around. Thanks

04-Oct-15
No success for this one today.

21-Sep-15
On our way home from camping we decided to do a few caches on the way home. TFTC.

21-Sep-15
After camping at Lake Somerset, my daughter pinkypie05, my son mazza151 and myself decided to do a couple of caches on our way home. We searched everywhere and for ages until someone yelled out saying "You're close!" I asked if they knew what colour I was looking for but they said they couldn't remember. They suggested I search by feel rather than sight. I did that and then I found it. Very tricky! TFTC!

21-Sep-15
While leaving Somerset Lake, my mum mnance101, my brother mazza151 and myself decided to do this cache. TFTC!

12-Sep-15
Look high and low. Maybe next time.

07-Sep-15
Why do I bother with caches on military equipment as I hardly ever find them but I'm becoming familiar with leopard tanks.

02-Sep-15
Dont know how but i cant find it i went all over that beast and nothing any hints

18-Aug-15
Next cache stop with EggZachary and Bones74 and I in my hometown was This cache. Told my mum "give us 5 mins and we will meet you at the pub for lunch" ..... Ummmmmm took more than 5 mins to seek out this one!!! Wow!! Didn't expect this one to be soo tricky. Seriously no climbing under and over. Sweet this should be easy!!! (Not)
Great cache hide. Yay for finding it! Cause that meant we could send mum a message to tell her we were on our way for lunch Wink

17-Aug-15
Out today with bones74 and XWF.... well when i say out i actually mean, bones74 is chauffeuring XWF and i around , while we have a party in the back of his camaro. This was first on our list. This area is where XWF grew up. She had great delight in showing us around. And what better way to explore by cache. Great day spent with wonderful ppl. Thanks bones74 for being a great sport and captaining the camaro while us girls let our hair down. Needless to say bones74 signed the logs today. This lil one took longer then we thought. My gps was being a complete goofball so i had to put it down. Eventually bones74 found it so the party could continue.

17-Aug-15
Headed out from the Sunny Coast to XWF's hometown with Egg Zachary also in tow. Stopped off to say a quick hello to Gran and Old Noel then headed down to find this one. I'd heard mention of the cache in whispered tones before so we were extra-determined to get it. Started off with the usual casual look here and there trying to not look suspicious but it wasn't long till we were all getting down and dirty. We had arranged to meet XWF's mum at the pub for lunch then had to quickly head back to the Sunny Coast for the school pick up so we were on a time budget. The allocated 5 minutes we had allowed came and went and still no cache. It got to the stage where we were literally going to leave in 30 seconds when I managed to see the sneaky little bugger. Let out a "Woohoo!!!! Found it!!!!" call, quickly signed the log and we were on our way to the pub for a celebratory beer for our hard work. Thanks for a sneaky and great hide jasenjanine, I love these old tanks and have never had the chance to get so up close and personal with one before. Favourite point from me

16-Aug-15

09-Aug-15
Thanks to Parko's for checking on this one today... Cache was found safe and well, although it had drifted slightly from where it should have been! It is now back in the correct position.

Please replace as found & just because you cannot find it is no reason to log a "needs maintenance" Sad

Happy Hunting Cool

22-Jul-15
Staying in the area for a few days and this has been a nemesis cache for us, today we decided it was going to be a smilie before we left Kilcoy no matter what, read some logs and bingo will you look at that. Rusty85 proved nimble enough to retrieve, so log signed and it was back to the Laundromat to rescue our clothes. TFTC

06-Jul-15
Geo-hubby headed out to Nanango / Kingaroy area for a two day caching run,
with our good friend Konie.
A great time was had, finding a good variety of hides and caches.
Many thanks to all the CO's for the effort you have put into your caches,
for us and others to find.

Out and about with The Drovers for a few days caching in the Nanago and Kingaroy areas. We managed to find a variety of caches with lots of different containers and this was one of them.

Once the log was signed all was returned as found.

Thanks to all the CO's for the effort put into your caches and maintaining them..

Took the hint not to climb or go under.lifted flaps wheels and felt all the metal on side.took the hint of imported tank and the passenger side.enjoyed the treasure hunt but not positive

08-Jun-15
After spending the long weekend at Landcruiser Mountain Park camping and 4x4ing, we were headed back home when d73 asked if we should have another go at this one on the way home - it was already late when we left by, oh, ok, just for a few minutes then! Wink
Turned up at the GZ to have it completely to ourselves and free to search - always helps to have a few kids to climb over and under it too for those driving past!
Having read lots of previous logs before we left for the weekend, I decided this time to start on the other side of the tank while sending the oldest son under to search from there.......... when low and behold,Mr A comes walking round the back of the tank with cache in hand. [^]
These caches are so random in whether you get them or not - you're either lucky or not! And thankfully we were today in under 5 minutes!
It's nice to finally make this one a smiley Big Grin Thanks for the cache jasenjanine!

Found with stairman1. No one here today so had a good look. Stairman1 eventually spotted the tricky hide. Thanks jasenjanine.

22-Mar-15
Found with goldielover. We had attempted this one, well looked at it a year ago on ANZAC Day. Way too many Muggles around then. Today though a different story. Spent quite a while searching every where before getting down a lot lower. I would like to see the definition of under though. Soon spotted it . Good to get this one off the list now.
