We were looking forward to this trip to New Zealand.
After hours of flight from Belgium we finally arrived, picked up our Road Trip Special and started going.
First we organised a little event to meet the locals. It was a blast and we've met some nice people!
After that we did a whole tour around the South Island in 3 weeks, sleeping in the car or our tent.
It was great!
Been searching for a while and found some loose wiring, but no cache.
TFTC!

I have been here a few times looking for this today I found a string attach to tree but nothing attache to it. So I think it is gone
Today I am working on qualifying for a challenge cache in Auckland where you need to find the top 20 favorite caches within 20 miles of home. Brilliant challenge since I am out finding some really creative hides like this one.
So, a LittleG Magic cache. There is always a question of whether or not I am going to find it on the first visit. Expanded my area again and again, but I had a preconceived notion of what I was looking for and the cache certainly didnt fit it! Had to laugh when I did spot it.
Replaced the log which was wet with a new one. Unfortunately, although I had bags with me, none were the right size to replace the existing one. But, hopefully the log will stay dry for a while.
Cheers LittleG Magic!

2nd time at rhia GZ but fingers crossed I could get it off my dnf list. After a wee wandee after dropping off the kids at school a d wife at work I ventured forth. With a hint FROM THE CO I went back to where w was but had an ahhh haaa moment this time and secured the cache in hand. How ever not is all roses as the log was damper than a face cloth aft shower time. Tftc
20/4/12 - boys had to do some careful manoeuvres, cache too soggy to sign.
Log very wet, there is however a very good weather proofing sunstance, it is found near the anal gland of all ducks. The French call it Cul de Cunard Suggestion move the cache 3 inches. TFTC
no cover on log so all very wet. carefully removed log with the tweezers signed and replaced as best that I could - do like the cache though - shame it is so wet
Bag the log is in is damaged, log unusable. Should consider a better way to protect the log. The cache to very clever!! Really enjoyed this cache!!
As I got closer I knew roughly where or what it might be quick scramble through wild blackberry bushes and there you are. Cheers.
Couldn't really sign the log as it was a pile of mush, and fell apart when i tried to get it out of the bag, didn't attempt any further.

Log book pretty much mush couldnt sign as it fell apart when I tried to get it out. Might pay to pop out and check. Cheers.
Having been here before with no luck I was surprised to spot it so easily today. A perfect hide for the area. In the last 9 days the log has got worse. Completely unable to sign it I took a photo of the container and the log a proof of the find and returned it as found. I had no kit with me to effect a repair today, sorry.

Simple process - take off top sign log and put top back
why do heavy handed cachers cost us time work and effort by not putting back tops ?

Gates locked so set off on a wander aroudn the park. Easy find, log book soaked as vial lid broken off.
An overcast, slightly drizzly afternoon with no-one around. I imagine it would be a great place to be on a nice day. Last of four caches located in the vicinity today.
Took a few minutes as the coords on my GPSr had me a few metres away from GZ. Brambles were a bit of a nuisance but could have avoided most of them if I'd gone directly to the cache.
Yes, a very nifty one. I wasn't quite sure what I was looking for but knew what it was once I spotted it!

Woohoo! Two LGM caches in one afternoon!!
From reading the logs we had a fair idea of what to look for. TFTC.
Log is not in the best of health so signed as best we could.

A great cache! Nearly missed it - but the we noticed the suspicious silence!

went for this one but may have been searching for the older cords or something, and the gps map showed another cache real close and I could not remember all the details. It wanted to take me too close to the lake which was real full of water. So skipped this one
Out on a walk around the lakes in the watery sunshine and hail today. Thanks for bringing us here today. Amazing to think we have lived in the neighbourhood for over 10 years and this is the first time we have explored here. Couple of jetskis on the lake. They sound loud from home - even louder when they zoom past a few meters from this cache!
Found with the help of theroamingreliever who knew what to look for. Area was very wet with the recent rains, spotted it and sent theroamingreliever in to retrieve for me. Log surprisingly dry tftc
Found it after a jet skiers wake alerted me to something. Log was soaked. Initialled as best I could.

Not quite what I expected but found quickly in any case. Loved the cache but log was very wet. Managed to put a mark on part of the paper but will need to be changed. Had nothing small enough on me. Great hide and glad we found it.
Amidst the continuous shotgun fires and walking through an area where we could here the shot gun pellets falling in the trees we got to GZ 1 - that was the easy part. Made our way to where cache should be with 2nd co-ords and ended up getting barbed several times by some wild berry canes before I heard "found it" from another in our group. Unfortunately even with said equipment extraction of the log would have damaged it so we decided to leave it as is. Does it really need to be that small???? Great idea thou.
Also maybe this cache needs an attached lid - we dropped it and it nearly landed where it would not be able to be retrieved. Might eliminate wet log issue.

A very clever hide, not as difficult after all as it appeared when we got to GZ. Did not have to fight brambles to get to the cache.

Even inputtung the correctco ords into my smartphine I couldnt locate. On a dedline to be at airport as well. Another dnf from this co on this trio
Frustrating to get there and then discover that the co-ords had been changed. Only have a smart-phone, so could not put new co-ords in. Had a bit of a look but was pretty hopeless not knowing where we were meant to be- and knowing the hiding skills of LG. Guess we will try again sometime with a GPS
No luck for us today, got to GZ and heard a creepy whistling noise following us. We got nervous being two females in a park on dark so had a quick look and then got outa there!!

I'm tempted to rename this "Web of deceipt" but a magician would just call it an illusion. It took us a few minutes to locate the cache to the backgound chorus of ducks or some other water fowl quacking at us.

Took a little bit of searching but eventually found another interesting LittleG Magic cache in the area. The cache camo really fitted in well with the location. Thanks!
Logging 2 months of finds. With the gates locked, parking and turning a motor home was interesting. Looked at the geocaching map and decided on a circuit to walk and set off. Nice large spider web near GZ and were busy looking around this and nearly didn't notice what was behind us. Clever cache container. TFTC
Replaced wet log - issue was cacher had lost the top !
We also replaced the top - so please be careful just take off the top and use tweezers to extract the new log LGM

GZ had me by the lake side and I noticed a slight WP update and popped that in the GPS. Hmm, looking high and low. Got a bit tangled in the brambles back tracked and just stood still and looked. Something attracted my attention out of the corner of my eye. Wow, brilliant. Now that is what I call a container. LGM good job, what fun. I tried to extract the log but didn't bother the lid was off and the log sodden. I didn't have any micro logs on me. Admired the cache and put it back. This is a favourite from me. Fitted in to the surroundings nicely. It was all quiet on the lake today. Thanks for the pleasant surprise.

Another Cache spotted by Mrs SproggV, She must have a nack for this particular series!
I will let her have a look for 'you must be nuts' next time as it still stumps me.
As previous cacher has noted, the lid is missing from this cache but log is dry!!?

Frustrating time pushing our way through brambles at the waters edge looking for this cache. Wasn't until we got home I noticed that the coordinates had been changed in the clue but not updated on the cache so the coordinates that got downloaded to the GPS were wrong. All those scratches for nothing
Sorry but we are having to flag this one away and record as a DNF. Have made many attempts to find this one using clues from previous 'finders'. Jet skie activities plus wind stiring up the water a little this late Sunday afternoon, but this is probably no excuse!!!! Every visit to Christchurch we attempt this one, all we have found is rubbish type 'stuff', a tennis ball, a sack, a jandel etc etc.... There are a lot of cache trails about but none helpful......You have beaten us, you are too good; top marks. Many Thanks.
We had completed our planned caches earlier than expected and then noticed a park full of Little G Magic caches so off we went.
Nuts was first. On arrival we saw a good sized stump but the GPSr and phone had GZ another 20m away where there was no stump so after re reading the description we put the GPSr away and used the hint. We could see where so other people had searched in a board area so carefully looked around before eventually turning up the cache after far too long. Had a laugh at the container, signed the log and re hid. TFTC
We then set off for web of intrigue. On getting close to GZ we thought we would be getting wet but after a short careful look we spotted a potential hide and then soon had the log on hand. The log is a little damp as the cap to the container is missing but we managed to sign before setting the cache free again. TFTC
It was then off to Rocky and Hidden Log. We spotted the rock from some distance off and then realised to not search the rock. We stood back and surveyed the area when something caught our eye about 10m from our GZ ( not a good day for the GPSr ). We had a little difficulty getting the cache lid off but soon where signing the log before replacing. Luckily not too many muggle about. TFTC
Our last for the park was Bird Droppings. A bit of search before thinging about the cache mean and then it was a quick and obvious find with the GPSr behaving itself. We completed the signign duties and re hid. TFTC

No luck today from us. Gave up after 10 minutes searching and lot of sand flies around. Did with Mycro Man on our NZ MEGA 2012 South Island Trip
cool find, tide was in a bit further than normal due to alot of rain recent. But got it tftc

Took 2 attempts at this cache. The fist I arrived at GZ, located cache and then discovered that I lacked a tool that would be required. At this point, while leaning over to check out cache, I heard a splash. I looked down and discovered that my iPhone had just fallen from my pocket into the lake. I said a bad word. I left defeated.
Later I returned under cover of darkness. This cache was not going to best me. I had a tool with me, I retrieved the log. At that point I discovered that neither of the 2 pens I had with me would write on the log.

Have the modified container - but will take a while to get there and set everything up - hopefully not too long LGM
Looked for half an hour with ayeffay and bugzptr, while trying to keep decoy dog away from the prickles.
We spotted the hide from way off....but not 30M! The hide was not what we expected from cache name....and we are still intrigued ! Part of the fun.
This was our first LGM today and it was my colleague who found this one. His very first found and such an unexpected one! Lots of fun!
O.M.G what a cool cache Found stray buoy nearby and rolled down hill. Watched jetskis in lake. TFTC
Not at all what I was expecting. I was looking at it from the wrong view when chocochunk spotted it. But I went for the grab, carefully. Another LGM to tick off for the day! Super. A definite favorite.
Would not have been visible from 30m but still caught my eye from several metres. I was starting to spin a yarn to Mporokosa about what I HAD spotted, and invited her to come to where I was standing to take a look. As she approached it occurred to me that it MIGHT actually be the GC - and it WAS. Another fav for the day. Thanks for the effort!
Well LittleG Magic might be able to see this cache from 30 metres, but we couldn’t manage to see it even when we were at the coordinates.
On a day of caching with MacPacFamily Mum, JustMeG, KiwiCampNut and RuruNZ
I got to have the fun with this one, since 3 of the other 4 had already found it. My, that blackberry has nasty prickles!

#94 Found with BalooSu as the others had already found this. She did the honours, thankfully, I just egged her on. The blackberries didn't have any fruit, just thorns . Loved the cache though.
Out with 4 others on LGM cache hunt. Had previously found this cache at a previous location. Spotted first but didn't let on and BalooSu of the one wet foot claimed the find.

#685: Niiiiice!
Came out today with all three GeoYounglings. This was the second of four finds around the lake. We'll leave the other two for another visit. I was a little worried we'd need a water craft of some kind as we approached, but after wending our way around, we were able to spot the cute little critter. GeoYoungling #1 made the catch and return on this one. Really nice camo! Instant fav!

Last find of the day - the description and co-ords had us a tad confused, but after fighting off some blackberry thorns we spied it in the end. I had a similar idea for a cache - so congrats on doing it first! Favorite from me!
Found with a group of year 9 and 10 students from St Bede's College. A bit tricky but persevefrance saw us through. TFTC.
