We were looking for this cache when the mechanic from the nearby car service centre asked us if we were looking for the brown snake that someone had reported earlier in the day. WE had to confess what we were doing and he thought that was great. It took us a few minutes to track down this cache despite accurate coordinates. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks for another quality cache Herbz.

I was thinking and thinking about where this could be when I suddenly realized who the CO was, changed thought patterns and recommenced the search. Voila! That was the trick Smile TFTC, Herbz. =^.^=

So had to make a quick trip to the Gold Coast. Stopped at Macca's and Amelia's Daddy busts me looking at groundspeak. What do you know ? It is bloody raining cats and dogs. Geo Daddy says right you three are such die hard caches you can get one in the rain so out I jump. Smile had her in 2 seconds Smile Should have made the others keep looking. (insert evil laugh) GeoDaddy said what sort of amo tin is that? Way cool.

Hitched a ride with Amelia and Co. Wink and just had to get a cache.

Because it was raining a Park and Grab was on the agenda, and this certanly filled the bill with the logbook being in my hands within a couple of minutes

While on our travels with Amelia & co and An Old Hag we stopped by and found this cheeky cache. Love it. TFTC

16-May-12
How hard can it be to find a hidden ammo can? Well hard I can tell you. Security cameras, people parking all the time, men working at the maintenance place. We had very good look around and suddenly my Geowife found it. Very clever hide Herbz, TFTC.

Captain Terror seems to find an inordinate amount of joy in watching his friends try to find caches that he has found already. I can see how this would be fun for him, but this time he was joyless. Purely by chance (there was certainly no skill involved Smile) I found this one in under a minute. Let this not detract from the brilliance of this cache though - it truly is a little ripper. TFTC herbz - a great hide.

At last! Third time's the charm. Popped in on the way home from the tip for my third go at this one hoping for more success even though I thought I had a pretty good idea what I was looking for the other two times. Back to the old routine backwards and forwards shoving my arm into deep holes hoping for no surprises. No success! Stand back have a look, hello There's a spot I haven't checked, TA DA! Can't believe I didn't find it sooner Team Herbz you crafty devils! I wonder if the coppers who were going through a girl and her car over by the car wash like a dose of salts wondered what I was up to?

Thanks for the cache Herbz and happy birthday for tomorrow. TNLN

Well I had my TB out ready for this ammo can. Could not believe my eyes at the camo so decided it might be a tad difficult for another quick find and move on. Goldielover and I spent quite a while searching the area before spotting it.
Another great Herbz cache
Thanks

No-could-do. Thought I knew what I would be looking for, but nada. Had the place to myself for the half-hour or so I spent looking. Nothing. I will be past here again sometime and will think about it somewhat till then.

23-Feb-12
Tried for this cache a week ago but had very little time, plus I looked at the creator and saw Herbz and thought....oh no this could be hard. Told Geokid we would try next week when we come back up for her music lesson.

A week later, we tried reaching GZ from above thinking this will help us with the men that work in the mechanic shop not seeing us, but it didn't and I’m sure they thought we were odd. So I told Geokid we may have to try after her lesson as the men may have gone home for the day.

3rd time luck.... Yippy the men had gone home. Let’s see …….ammo container… hum.
With a look look here and look look there, Geokid come up with the find and I had to just laugh and shake my head. Should have known this is a Herbz cache after all.

TFTC and hope to have as much fun next cache.

PS If only “Littleredshoes” could have found they may have had a interesting job with there TB.

18-Feb-12
I'm just slowly making my way south for a week-end out on the bike. Smile

This one took awhile, not because of me but a tow truck truck pulled up right next to GZ as I approached. I had to wait for him to unload the vehicle and move on.

Then I could begin my search. I still took me awhile because it was tucked away so well the bright sunshine meant I could not see it when I looked in the hole about 3 times before hand. Red Face

Thanks for the cache.

12/02/2012 18:44 DNF: Looking for a good size cache to drop off a travel bug, but this DNF saw us miss our return flight to the ACT.

Hubby put his great mitts on this one and did the job opening it. TFTC

Yes well… we searched…Twisted went and got the van as protection so we could search a bit better. The security cameras are rather off putting to say the least- and they are the ones we could see.Twisted!
Mr L&L triumphed and found this one. Razz TFTC

28-Dec-11
GPSr was very insistent about GZ, but two pairs of eyes had a lot of trouble finding this one. We finally resorted to the old trick of saying, “looks like this is a DNF” and walking away. Sure enough, the very next look, revealed the cache.

20-Dec-11
=) nice hide, the mechanics in the workshop were probably watching us search, this took longer than it should have in the end was a straight forward cache. TFTC =)

20-Dec-11
Happily we had seen these containers before so had a clue of what to look for. It still took us an age to make the find! It's so frustrating to read previous logs that say, 'Found it straight away' or 'Was in the first place I looked' Aaaarrrghh! Turns out this container was in the LAST place we looked TFTC Herbz!

A small, but an ammo can.. what? Luckily I knew exactly what trickery was going on here today. After a short search I eventually spotted the cheeky container tucked away. As I signed the logbook, I admired this container, very smart and very well done. Might give me an idea.. TFTC Herbz.

Our first thought after reading the description was easy an ammo can this won't take long, but then we noticed the cache size Sad now very confused we set off in search of the cache, with an idea on what we were looking for.

After a quick search of the area we soon had the little sucker in our hand Smile
With the log signed and cache replaced we were off again.

With a diffulcilty rating of three I was expecting something more devious, I found the cache in the first place I looked. First time I have had mu hands on an amho can so big, seen pictures of them though. Thanks for the cache Herbz, now better get back to wet and wild before the teens wonder where we got to.

We were a bit hungry so the obvious place to stop was as close as possible to a cache. So after a bite to eat we wandered over to see if we could find the can.

We got lucky and found the ammo can in the second place we looked. IT took a bit to retrieve it.

Found with Gunnie69...

Only the magic of a Hebz cache could result in a container that size squeezed into this location... - shades of Harry Potter gone wild with his wand Wink

Must concur with Gunnie69 - surely you could have been more generous with the log book in an ammo can Razz

TNLNSL

Thanks Herbz for this intriguing cache Big Grin

Now, this was a great concealment. Who would have thought you could hide an ammo tin here... You have done well Herbz, very well... Big Grin

It took Kaisho53 and I a few minutes to zero in on this one. I remember muttering on a couple of occasions, “This is a Herbz cache, we will have to work for it”... I was right... [^] The surprising thing was the size of the log book for an ammo tin... A little small don’t ya think... Wink

Cheers Herbz.

Very clever, Team Herbz Razz I have one of these that wants to go out into the caching world as well. The hunt took a while - and finally my GPSr pointed to an area - and what do you know.. there was the beast. The cache was in good condition. TFTC Herbz Smile

This is find number 911 for me.

I loitered around the GZ so long tonight that I though someone may be calling 911 (or the Aussie equivalent) if I didn't move on soon.

After a bit of terrain 1.5 searching, I re-read the description and re-focussed my search area. I was trying not to draw too much attention to myself so was using the phone screen as a very ineffective torch. A quick flash around with my real torch in the right spot and the hiding spot was found.

Fangsoki was talking about one of these containers the other day so it was great to see one out in the "wild".

Nice one Herbz. Thanks for the cache.

Arrived at GZ with Ms Wig... hmmm.... I see at least 2 cameras... OK, this could be interesting Surprised

Well we searched for a long time, and gave up to find some other caches... then we returned to this one. Parked nice and close
to try to give some cover...hmmm look at that terrain rating!! and on this search, managed to spot something out of the corner of my eye.

Aha!!! Nasty Herbz Nasty Herbz!!

FTF #3 just after 6AM with Ms Wig today, thanks Herbz

Awake at 4am I had come here before dawn but just couldn't see well enough for a proper search. Had to abandon it and move on to the Bush caches also released yesterday but too late for a night visit. I was very much afraid I would run into Pigwig and Agap and was surprised not to see them here. Then I saw some tell tale marks showing someone had been here. Came back here after meeting them while doing the other 2 caches. I had good light now and some cover from more motor vehicles parked by GZ. Didn't take me long because I knew the general area where it had to be. Second time around it was a very easy find really, so I think some people (if they're clever like me[:8D]) may go straight to it. Rather glad not to see "Can-Do" Campbell Newman peering out at me; I was half afraid he'd get in on this one, he seems to be capable of muscling in wherever he wants these days.
Another good one Herbz.

Having completed my grandmotherly duties which prevented me from coming up for the new caches yesterday, I came up for another new one. Following that find I was just a bit too early to pick up my granddaughter from school for her dental appointment so headed over here to see how I would go to find this one. Well it was muggle central. A shiny red ute was backed up to GZ with three guys working/standing around/chatting by the vehicle and every now and again another worker would come in and out of the big roller door nearby. Decided it was too risky for the cache for us to have a hunt so we left. Having completed the required dental visit, and returning granddaughter to her home, I thought it would be worth giving it another go. Sure enough the shiny red ute had left, the roller door was down, and I was able to pull up the geovehicle right in the right place for muggle cover. Within a few seconds the cache was in hand and I added my moniker to the already growing list of finders. Thanks for the new cache Herbz. We enjoyed it.
