Thought this was going to be our third DNF in a row, but luckily we figured out where we really needed to be, after our coords had us in the right spot all along. Nice to point out this plaque. Thank-you.
The container is quite weather-beaten and cracked, so needs some attention please. Luckily the replacement logbook is still ok. TFTC Smile

14-Jul-17
This geocacher reported that the container is damaged.

01-Jan-17
Tftc. Took a while but then we thought outside the square.

14-Nov-16
A nice quick find. Kids enjoy the multis and working out puzzles. Log book was a bit damp but still usable.

09-Oct-16
Took a while to work this one out, good hide

28-Mar-16
After a more than pleasant stay overnight in Barooga we headed off on our holiday proper. This was the first cache we did on a glorious Riverina morning. A nice quick multi, and although we were a little concerned at the VB cans around GZ, the cache was unharmed. Grabbed the TB and headed off to find more smilies. Thanks for the hide and bringing us here.

23-Dec-15
Didn't find digging up everywhere, gave up

14-Dec-15
Found with McLookers today. Nice cemetery.

14-Dec-15
A great offset multi that unfolded well and we found the cache with accurate co-ords. We loved this cemetery. The log was a bit damp. We left a TB.

11-Oct-15
Always nice to have a simple multi thrown into the mix, and we are suckers for a cemetery cache. Pleased to see that the cache was a good size and found the perfect swag to leave amongst our bits and bobs that we always carry. Sorted out the numbers and letters and headed off for GZ. A quick find of a soggy container. Log book was dry, so tipped out the water from last night's rain, SL at 3.43pm Left: angel to guard all those souls. #3092 TFTC Blacklegend and well kept cemetery indeed.

22-Sep-15
Found, full log to follow when I return home

12-Jul-15
Found it, great hide. Didn't have a pen so will have to come back and write in it but left a little Brazil World Cup key ring

04-Jul-15
Victorian Murray River region caching weekend 2015. I enjoyed the walk around here, the plaque was a solemn reminder of the cost of our current way of life. After that bit off to GZ for a nice simple find and a very well kept cemetery.

Thanks.

Been up here on a birding trip and mooching around in between times checking out the birding and the neighbourhood, now I'm procrastinating about heading home, maybe I can just squeeze in one or two more finds...! Thanks for this one Smile

Was a tad confusing but got it in the end

Was looking too hard. If it had teeth it would have bitten us

19-May-15
Travelling around Australia in our Caravan with our cat.

Making our way south to Melbourne now, it's amazing seeing all the other travellers heading north! Are we heading the wrong way Surprised

Currently staying at Apex Beach we headed out today to see what the surrounding areas have to offer!

Geocaching takes us to some amazing places and your cache certainly helped with that.

Werent quite sure if we had the right info but once at GZ Mr Felix spotted the cache quickly.

We looked high, we looked low, we looked in, we looked out, but today there was no way we could work this one out! Not sure if this has gone or we were suffering cache blindness, but this Regular 1.5/1.5 beat us today. Checked with previous finder later in the day and our looking had been at the GZ!

Thanks anyway to Blacklegend for bringing us to this location.

26-Jan-15
A very neat and easy little multi in an interesting area....why don't more people do these??

Once the GZ co-ords were sorted, the cache was soon in hand, although I did miss it on my first sweep and had to come back....but in the end all was good.

Thnaks for another one Blacklegend....

11-Dec-14
Drove to Cobram to do some sightseeing, and pick up a few caches while in the area.

A quick and simple multi indeed, at a very well kept cemetery.
Many thanks for placing this cache, Blacklegend, for us and others to find.

Found this with Mrs and Mini LB after a hit around the local links. As often is the case we ended up somewhere we would never have ventured to before and learned something as well! TFTC.

13-Sep-14
Thanks for bringing us to this peaceful resting area and pointing out the history. The new log dry by box was damp.

I do have a fondness for cemetery caches, this one was a quick multi. Not sure if GPS was playing up or coordinates slightly out, eventually found and signed log TFTC

27-Feb-14
What a lovely little resting place, short walk to WP1 some quick thinking then off to the nearby final spot, a short time there and Jak was giving Tamzy and I the oui TFTC

16-Dec-13
The cache was completely exposed so I gathered some twigs to help disguise it. There was water in the bottom of the cache and although the log book was above the water, a bit of condensation has crept through to it. I emptied the water from the cache. TFTC

07-Oct-13
Found with Justjessie as we wandered our way around the area. TFTC.

07-Oct-13
Found with O319. TFTC.

19-Sep-13
We had the numbers worked out for this one without hassle. As we approached gz we noticed the container laying on the grass. We managed to sign the rather damp log book and replaced the container where we thought it should be?

Easy quick find

26-May-13
Went to the cemetery after lunch at the Barooga Sportsmens Club and found the info quickly. It took us a bit longer to find the cache and it was eventually spotted at 2:15pm about 5m from where the GPSr was pointing us.

out caching with moira mappers. found the cache easily but was half full with water and algae was growing under lid. cleaned cache and dryed it. log book ok tftc

25-May-13
With megsandme. Discovered cache but unfortunately container was leaking and algae had formed on inside of lid. Cleaned container and swappables, log book ok. Watch out for bindis, make sure you clean your shoes before leaving here as the seeds easily transfer into your home lawn. TNLN. Great cache

After a little stroll around the cemetery reading the headstones I finally came upon the cache. Took dinosaur and left the jelly babies badge. SL TFTC

13-Jan-13
1826th cache found by WazzaAndWenches. Log signed at 08:24Hrs.

A crappy nights sleep and little chance of the wenches waking early enough meant I headed to Cobram before sun up for a half day of caching.

I must admit to not completing this multi as intended. I noticed something as I walked through the gate and went to have a look. As I approached I spotted the cache so was able to short circuit the info gathering stage.

Thank you Blacklegend.

Found on an evening stroll from the nearby motel we are staying at. Came by in the heat of the day, but decided to leave until later. WATCH OUT for the dreaded Bindii/Cowtrop around the graves nearby!!! A noxious weed we don't want to spread. There is a path around. TFTC BL

These little cemeteries make such good spots for learning our history and finding caches.

Sad place on a miserable day Thankfully a quick find TFTC

Find number 7 of 37 for the day with Chaplain Mike around the Tocumwal/Barooga area. Coords were a little off but after widening our search we found it eventually....in a spot where Mike had already looked! Big Grin SL TNLN TFTC!

Find 7 of 38 with Smart Sassy Siren for the day, looking to complete a couple of milestones, including Tigersden's 25 in a day Challenge, Smart Sassy Siren's 200th and Chaplain Mike's 250th.

Love coming to an historic location.Big Grin

after wondering around and having a look at the cemetary i had a moment of reflection looking at the graves thanking them for the sacrifice they have made for us as i have just recently lost my grandfather who was a decorated soldier in the air force it makes me all the more proud to have come here to see these brave men and women!! thankyou.

47 of the day, worked the coords out and had the cache thanks again blacklegend

26-May-12
Nothing like a quick offset cache. A quick calculation, and the cache was soon in hand.
We weren't even here long enought to interupt the sunning of a small mob of kanga bouncers.
Thanks, Robmc.

26-May-12
# 550. Found on a day touring with Robmc, Chewinprickles and Purpledreamer. Stopped here as we were starting to head to Albury. While the others worked on the cache I was admiring the gigantic roo with his little mob sunning themselves in the late sunshine. I like cemetery caches and the history behind so many of them. Thanks BL

26-May-12
It wasn't the snakes here so much as the roos. One really big one and a few others sunning themselves and apparently completely oblivious of the surroundings. An easy find again.
Thanks again Blacklegend

22-Apr-12
#647 on day 175 of continuous caching after a small day yesterday this was set to be a bigger day after going to Yarrawonga MacDonald and finding their WiFi to be a little lacking I asked one of the employees there and he told me about a Laundromat that had a WiFi hot spot so off i went and collected a few more geocaches for the gps and started to work my way toward the days goal of at least 50 and yes I got there and added 1 for good measure.

49 of 51 for the day and this was my biggest day yet. Well nearly didn't do this one but realised that it was not going to be a long and involved on so obtained the information and realised that it was a very distressing thing that service men and women have been buried without the full recognition that they deserve being from the service myself it is rather disgusting that they would but however during that time it was all about the war and the service was geared for deployment and not for ceremonial duties.

This was a worthy cache for the commemoration of those men a women and a big thanks to Blacklegend for finding this information. Took Path tag the only one for the day.

21-Apr-12
We assume that the service men and women buried here may have come from the War hospital just down the road. This is a blot on our heratige if our predecessors have buried these service men and women without any form of recognition. We appreciated you bringing us to this place Blacklegend

31-Dec-11
#2380 We really appreciate the caches dedicated to the fallen, the Queens maternal grandfather served in the army in WW1 as well as the Navy and in the Navy in WW2, her paternal grandfather was a POW in Stalag 13 (and nothing like Hogans Heroes!), both were fortunate enough to make it back home. All was quiet on the western front at GZ where Dad soon had the container in hand. Thanks to BL for the multi.

Took: Energiser TB (he's been there quite some time now)
Left: Pathtag

I had to go to a funeral here today, spotted the puzzle clues on the way in so I quickly jotted down the letters needed.
I came back later and after scratching around for a while (still in my good clothes)and not finding it I went back to the plaque only to find it 10 metres out. Back to GZ I go, step out ten metres and......still cant find it.
Before giving up I thought I would widen my search area and yep, I had walked in the wrong direction the first time.
All good in the end, TFTC

24-Nov-11
Have been going to get this one for sometime now, well today it's going down! 1:35pm and it has been Spied and is history... TFTC Blacklegend and the thoughts of our fallen.

Found with DJ Rascal on a night run through the area.
Thought we'd stuffed up the numbers for this one, double checked, and expanded the search a little bit before coming up with the hide.
Very quiet out here tonight.
Many thanks for bringing us here, and congrats on your 50th hide with this cache. TNLN SL. Cheers.

# 5 / 24 on a Cob / Toc night assault with Haveanez.

I love being in places like this at night. Not sure why, maybe the solitude, maybe its knowing that no one else will be here during the night hours to hinder the search.
Did the calculations and headed off to Gz before scratching around for a bit and not making any progress. We double checked everywhere we could think of before returning to wpt 1 and rechecked our workings out. It was correct so it was back again with the same result, but this time the search was widened and found close to 10mt away from the magic 0mt. mark, and the clue came in handy.

TN L - Energizer Bunny TB, TFTC, Cheers.

Reperio at 1015. On the way to Shepparton today via Tocumwal, and had never seem this location before, so stopped by here for a wander around. Once the numbers were worked out, it was a short walk over to GZ where the cache was found after a couple of minutes. Very dry out here.

Found with Roostaman at 1450. Had trouble with this one last night as the coordinates were taking us to a very unlikely spot. After contacting the cache owner today a modified set of coordinates were used and the cache was then easily found.

Thanks Blacklegend.Smile

Sorry its taken so long to log the cache, the dog really did eat my note book ripped it to pieces we picked up all the bits and put it away in the cupboard and forgot about it. Today after spending ages to sticky tape it back together I can now start logging, the ones I can still read anyway, the others will have to wait to we get back and check the log books.
This cache we found with Team Crackers after the event,
Thanks Blacklegend,

*FTF* by Quasar3671 and I, whilst here for BlackLegends Birthday Bush Bash Bonanza, We headed to this one on the way back towards barooga as we'd neglected it on the way out, Quasar read the questions then we both counted and calculated, somehow we still got the numbers wrong and ended up at an unlikely spot.. we soon were on the right track (figuratively speaking) and were really surprised to discover a blank logbook this late in the day (3.21pm) .. Find #1264

18-Jun-11
*FTF* #10 at 15:21 with Spladem. Found during 'Blacklegend's Bush Birthday Bash' event held on the Saturday in Barooga. We were going to drive right past the multi on the way back to Barooga so decided we might as well stop and make the find. Got the numbers off the plaque and headed over to GZ. GZ didn't seem right so we headed back and did a recalc. Ahhh . . this spot looked better, and after a hunt around the cache was soon found. An empty log book greeted us and we signed our names. A nice simple multi, thanks Blacklegend.

6.30pm and Our last find for the day, we found WP1 and worked out the Sums for GZ.
With one torch between us we headed of to GZ and started looking at every bush within an area of 5 metres, no joy at all, thinking we may have made a mistake we went back to WP1 and rechecked, came up with the same co-ords, went back for another look and broadend the search area to no avail.
Turned off the GPSr and Headed back to the car thinking this was to be our first DNF for the day,but still looking for the hiding spot all the same, we both saw a nice bush and thought "Thats a nice bush.....would be a good spot for a hide"....Well after a quick look "Whoop Poop"............there is was.
Coords a bit off for us on this one, as was for Fred6603, but still a nice hide all the same.
Thanks Blacklegend for the cache.

18-Jun-11
Out with Mr Coffee and the Coffee Clan we came here and were surprised that so few graves were marked. The open area indicates there could be a lot of servicemen and woman here, showing how the horrors of war can tear a family and community apart.
We collected the answers and headed off to GZ but could find nothing there, not even a good hiding spot. We rechecked our workings but could not change any thing so we decoded the hint and expanded our search quite a bit but did find the cache.
Thanks again Blacklegend.
Lest We Forget.

Found with Fred6603 on another drive around the area the day after the BBBB Event. We had a DNF on this last night as the co-ords were out a bit, but all fixed now & a much better place to find a cache. TNLNSL TFTC Blacklegend,
Roostaman.
