My partner and I are on a road trip from the NSW/Vic border to WA for a wedding. We are collecting caches as we go and seeing lots of interesting places we have never visited. We pulled in to this one on the way by and this was a very easy find
WA Big Trip Winter 2024. Day 12 - Port Lincoln to Elliston via several small roadside spots. After my travels down the east side of the Eyre Peninsula showed me more and bigger towns than I expected, on todays travels up the west side of the peninsula, there were a few settlements, but they were all very small and it is much windier on this side. Elliston where I stayed the night at the golf course RV park, was smaller than any of the other regional council towns I have visited, but they did have a nice pug where I had dinner. The days caching was pretty much all roadside caching until the end with some of the Elliston caches being out on coastal cliffs and the jetty. Things are getting more outback every day now.Today was mostly roadside stops where I squeezed the van onto the edge of the road or a parking bay and walked the remaining distance to the cache. Found with no issues today. Thanks for the cache wheres_wolly_sharon46673.3 TNLNVisited: World Traveling Gold GC A#6 & 2018 Aug How Far Dive Caches A#385**Albida**

Quick find on a morning caching around the area, one of the largest containers we have seen for a while, took some time to remove from the hidey hole

The caching continued today with ilook4geo and this was one of the caches on the list that we found. The log was signed with both names and replaced as it had been found.
We much prefer country driving so we tend to not bother with caches located in suburbia. Some of the ones we had on the list for today we simply drove by, as they were located in very public and exposed sites.
Thank you to wheres wolly for placing this cache.

Went caching around Port Lincoln with goingplaces2 to add some more smileys to the map. Found a collection for the day, signed each one and then they were put back. TFTC.
On a road trip around the Mid North and Eyre Peninsula, geocaching as I go. Predominantly targeting old caches, solved mysteries and grabbing some interesting looking traditionals.

During our new years break, [@jesswrigley](http://coord.info/PRNW59T) and I headed to the Eyre Peninsula to travel around the various coastal towns. We started the trip with Jeep trouble, but then continued in our alternative vehicle without 4WD to stick to the main tourist roads where possible. We travelled south-west to Tumby Bay and Port Lincoln via Whyalla, Cowell, Cleve, Arno Bay; west across to Coffin Bay; and then north-west to Streaky Bay and Ceduna via Elliston, and Venus Bay. We then headed back east staying in Kimba via Poochera, Wudinna, Lock, and Darke Peak.
Today, [@jesswrigley](http://coord.info/PRNW59T) and I spent the day around Port Lincoln. We spent the morning seeing the town and marina, and then headed south travelling past Port Lincoln National Park to check out Whalers Way. It was still a little cold and nippy with the wind about, but otherwise a sunny day.
It looks like this location has gotten into the festive spirit! Otherwise, a quick park and grab. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks wheres wolly for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.
Note that this geocache was logged with the *Team Warren* Davidwazza/jesswrigley stamp.

On my two day trip to Port Lincoln with e.gregory1, we stopped everyone and again to collect some target caches along the way. Majority of the trip was based around collecting puzzles and LGAs. Unfortunately we hit a kangaroo not too far past port wakefield but car is a bit dented.
After arriving into the port this evening we did a quick few on the out skirts.

Discovering Port Lincoln cache by cache with Purrfect Di, Sebastbat, and Jack.
Many and varied caches were found and this was one. Some are in good condition, some a little rusty.
A good time had by all. Quick as a dodgy retread.

Hi there wheres wolly.
We found your cache **"COACHES"** at 12:37:00 PM today. (This makes our find count 15787).
We cached around the Port Lincoln area today. On our trek we found a wide variety of container types. & ended up finding 7 caches with 1 DNF's.
Thanks for placing this cache here, without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places on our travels.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found the cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** A Smiley Badge.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny.

CPwanderer, GoodLook and I headed off for a weekend in Port Lincoln via an overnight stop in Whyalla
Our weekend was unexpectedly extended by a day due to illness and so my tally at the end of the 'weekend' was 168 cache finds
Sadly this was marred by a massive 28 DNFs
Port Lincoln, despite being virgin caching territory for all 3 of us, did not provide us with the pleasure that we had anticipated
So many of the caches were bison tubes and those that we did find, quite often were in places where a larger cache could have been hidden The other issue was the lack of maintenance on many caches
There are people trying their best to maintain the 'wheres wolly' cache hides however their resources are stretched thinly..... so if you are heading over, please pack heaps of cache maintenance containers, bags and log books and help out where you can. [^]
That being said, the trip was still a blast and some great caches were found and great views were seen!
Roaming Wendy very kindly came out with us for the rest of today and as a result, our find count increased as did the laughter in the car
Thank you for your company [^]
A quick find and no coaches were seen today
Seems the people are now into camper trailers

EaThis was one of the caches found on a three day odyssey on the Eyre Peninsula! Myself, GoodLook and locuscache had never cached south of the Cowell/Cleve area so we had high hopes of some great caching. We worked our way down through Port Neil and Tumby Bay and grabbed those along the highway plus a few a little further afield.
Our time in and around Port Lincoln was frustrating. Lots very small micros, lots of very rusty tins and more dnfs than ive ever had in a day before this. We were very fortunate that local cacher , Roaming Wendy joined as. Her expert knowledge of the town certainly helped. A medical issue had us stay a third day. This worked out very well as we could do some relaxed caching on our way home.
A special thanks to Roaming wendy for her help and to those who hid caches in the area … particularly the Geo-Ambos, Wheres Wolly and Viper231. Special thanks also to my “mildly obsessive” caching buddies on this trip …………………………… amazing fun!!
sily located!!!! thanks for the hide!!

Woo hoo, we found it!
After messaging Roaming Wendy, she graciously joined us and jumped in our car in order to cache around Lincoln with us (as we'd not been having much fun with all of the DNFs).
Found whilst on a road trip with CPwanderer and Locus Cache, with the aim of the weekend to cache in and around Port Lincoln - fresh territory for us all. We certainly had a great time, however with a DNF rate of about 40% [:(!], it was tough going! We did however thoroughly enjoy the beautiful locations and scenery.
After joking all day on the Sunday we should spend another night in Pt Lincoln, circumstances presented that meant we needed to extend our time away! We took it slowly on the way home which enabled us to once again visit some terrific places

Day eleven of my holidays, just caching around the outskirts of Point Lincoln. There were some wins and some losses, but generally wins. The wins were generally easy, and the losses, well, too hard for me to find. Chalk up another win to me.

This stage of our holiday from Melbourne to WA comprised a leg from Port Lincoln to Streaky Bay.
We spent a lot of time looking at the features of the area, but of course there was some caching done along the way. We found 20 of which this was the 3rd.
A quiet location today, and the cache was soon found.
