I think this one will need a check soon, found it today but it may need a shift due works and compromised vessels where the cache is jammed in mud. Tftc
I remember the name of Bullen's Animal World but I never came here. I guess it just wasn't something you did as a teenager. I assume it was on all that open land on the south of Park Road.I wonder if Park Road was named for the Fun Park that sprung up out here as it would have have been farming land before the Bullen's was here. Getting across the busy road was again slower than finding the cache!TFTC # 5626
Was well buried but got there with some animals making funny noises in the background thankyou
i remember the monkeys used to pull the windscreen wipers off our car Dad was not happyquick find TFTC
Despite the obvious location for a hide at GZ, and the container was still very well hidden.
We also recall some of these wonderful themed parks from our childhood.
Thanks The Booos.

I remember going to Bullen's as a kid and later as a adult driving through seeing lions and elephants .
Eventually the park cost too much to continue operating, and several animals were auctioned off before the park closed down permanently. The park closed in 1991 after a series of breakouts by lionesses and bears. I parked a few metres away from GZ to an obvious hide . Once extracted signed the log and returned with a golden paperclip .TFTC

Finalf29 and I had a lovely afternoon cleaning up some caches around Warragamba after attending the Community Celebrations event. It has been a while since Finalf29 and I have gone on a caching raid together. It was wonderful to have my bestest ever bud back as my wingman... Thanks to all the CO's for giving back to the game
I remember going to Bullen's Animal World as a kid. My eldest sister got really cranky because one of the camels had her name... "Wendy". Thanks for the quick park and grab and bit of a chuckle down memory lane.

Found It!
A quick find here. Years ago I found a cache at what used to be Bullen's Lion Park in SA. I guess Mr Bullen had a collection of exotic animals in every state.

After attending the Geocaching NSW event, a small group of geocahcing enthusiasts headed out west for a selection of caches around Liddenham.
I teamed up with Wilbert67 and Meritonnn for a drive around Liddenham for GFA1 to GFA 10, mingled with a few traditionals.

I remember my mother taking us to Bullens Animal World a number of times, the last time however my little brother was bitten by a donkey, so we never went back. Found after a quick search.
One of many of these types of theme/fun parks that sadly disappeared - maybe because of WHS issues:)

Fourth find of the day, second on Park Road. Not too difficult to park or to spot the hiding place from the car.
After a quick find and replace I spent much more time taking a look at the little building which I guess was a ticket office or other gatehouse-type building. I have a great nostalgia for such things, although I wasn't born until a few years after this particular park closed. It's sad to see this little building be all that's visibly left and be in such disrepair. Mind you, from what I've read I don't think the park would fit well with our modern animal ethics and safety standards so it's demise back then may have been for the best.

Wasn’t sure if I had the right one and was hesitant to touch because of the spider webs. I was right though and I found a well stocked cache in great condition! TFTC!
We have travelled from Sydney’s Northern Beaches to Emu Plains for a short 3 day caching holiday, staying in a park cabin at the Ingenia Nepean River BIG4 Holiday Park at Emu Plains, and are planning to explore the areas between Penrith and Warragamba, including a stop-off on arrival day at St Marys. Hoping to collect some previously solved Puzzle caches and to also complete the Adventure Labs at St Marys, Penrith and Warragamba. Will also be on the hunt for Natural Wonders and Solar System Wonders, to complete the Wonders of the World souvenir challenge.
Today we headed out to Warragamba for the Adventure Lab and the cluster of Traditional caches, then cached around Wallacia and back along Mulgoa Road to Mulgoa. This was our 23rd find of the day, and 45th find of the holiday.
I remember coming here as a kid in the early 1970's for one of my single digit birthday parties. I've forgotten which one, but I do have an old B&W photo somewhere. The cache was a nice quick find. TNLNSL, and then replaced as found.
It was good to see some surviving remnants of the old Bullen's Animal World that can be seen from the road. TFTC, and the memories, The Booos.

Find #466 on streak day #152.
A nice and easy day today found me driving through the area and stopping off for a couple of caches on the way home. Driving this road semi-regularly, I wanted to cross these off my list and move on. Seeing this 'Forgotten Fun Park' and it brought back memories of previous finds in this series. This was the 2nd find for me today. I drove up near to gz and pulled into a driveway close by. Walking on over I noticed there was a perfect spot the I was walking towards, and soon had CIH without any drama. I moved off and away to complete signing duties and check out all the goodies inside. Was I was done, I replaced and made my way back. TFTC!

Fourth of eleven finds with Aussiewolves on a beautiful Saturday in outer Sydney. Brought back some childhood memories Found after a short search. TFTC
A quick park and grab on my way back from orienteering at Warragamba. I vaguely remember going on a preschool excursion to an animal park and thinking possibly it was this one! Tftc!
A quick find while on my way to the dam. I recall the ads on TV but never visited Bullens Animal World. TFTC
Well after saying that was it we already stopped at one on the way home... then we saw we only needed 3 more ancient wonders, so did a filtered search and saw this one had one of the three we needed, so, quick stop on way home for a very quick find on this one! Two wonders to go...
Nice quick find. Dropped my pen somewhere around the last find at Luddenham. TFTC
Found with aquaflamingo13 - the first find in our caching adventure today

Time: 13:53hrs
Finds today: 3 of 3
Enjoyed finding this one, glad I let my geosenses guide me, and not the GPS. Used my hiking pole, and flicked the camo up (coz I was NOT looking a surprise! )
Signed log - replaced as found. TFTC

Another quick find, and for today with an event still to attend, it was fine doing a few park and grab caches.
As a kid I liked the circus, though I don't remember visiting many performances. Later, as I got older, I lost my enthusiasm for them, and was never fond of the animal acts, anyway. I wonder whether that's how it went for many other people. Today, a circus is a fairly rare event, with a few travelling shows, it would seem. At least, as far as the big-top sort.
I made a quick dash across the road to the right spot and found the container. There were some large ants there, too, though not enough to bother me. I extracted the log book and added my name to the list of the previous finders. I can't remember whether I left one of my signature small wire dogs, but I think I did because of the animal theme.
Then the container went back under the camo and I was back at the car, heading on to the next find.

Well I thought I was picking up a few caches on my way to an event in Warragamba, turned out I was a day early, but it was a great day to find a few caches. These theme parks are all a bit sad, but if you feel sorry for the lions over here, think of the poor lions we had in the safari park back in Northern Ireland, poor buggers taken from their homes and left in the cold and wet, at least they'd have been warm in Australia. I moved the TB. TFTC
A very quick find.
We too can remember such circuses and lion Parks that eventually disappeared.
Thanks for the memories.

I cannot recall visiting this fun park but remember going to Wallacia and Warragamba several times. Not much to see here of course.
Out today for a day’s caching with marj01, no bush bashing, just park and grab. After heading off pre-dawn from the eastern suburbs we visited the towns of Wallacia, Warragamba, Narellan, The Oaks and Nattai. Lots of caches were found; on the ground, dangling in trees, on signs, in stumps and even one in a haunted house. Whilst most of the caches were familiar we did strike some very ingenious ones. A large percentage of the finds were quick, however, there were some that had us scratching our heads for a while. All in all, it was a very enjoyable day out and I would like to thank all the CO's of the caches for hiding and maintaining the caches that we visited. And yes, I did read the reason/history for each cache in the lead up to the trip.
Out cache with oldmorty on a big day. This one of many caches we found along our travels. Thanks to all the cache owners for maintaining their caches
Found on our day out caching heading towards Wallacia, Hubby remembers coming here on a school excursion.

Out on a lazy-ish day so went for a bit of 'freestyle' caching driving around the Warragamba area - i.e. no particular objective other than not needing to walk very far or search very long on such a warm day.
Tally for the day = 25.
Weirdest thing was, coords for most caches visited seemed to be out by 10 metres in the same direction. Perhaps Santa Claus will drop a new GPSr down my chimney.

16th find. Happy to not have as many spiderweb encounters as the other caches along this stretch.

Quick traditional location style. Not much left here now. Road getting busy for the geobike 'carbony'.
Many thanks to the CO **The Booos** for establishing and maintaining another local cache for the rest of us to enjoy, see and visit new places with a hunt in mind.

This cache was hidden in the obvious place, but it could not quite be reached from the geo vehicle without getting out. Cache was retrieved, paper was signed, all was returned to its correct place. Job done. Thank you to The Booos for a fun morning of caching with all searches resulting in a find.
We remember Bullens Animal World well when we ventured there in the 70 ,s whilst living at Ryde .
Many thanks for the hide.
Many thanks for the hide.
Sent Geohusband to retireve the cache after reading previous logs of 8 legged gaurdians. No gaurdians today. Great easy drive by. TFTC
Finally found some time to sit down and catch up on my logs, some I have good memories of and others were just another cache on just another day.

29/1/17. 8:04 AM. Cache #4715.
7th of 10 this morning - Wallacia & Luddenham
Came here after "A Song By Ray Charles"; this one was the quickest park & grab of the morning. Easy. On to "A Song By Paul McCartney and Wings" next.
I have some vague memories of Bullens when I was a little kid. Up until the age of 10, the only plane I had ever been in was the little one from here that went around on joy flights. I remember Goofy was painted on the tail. I remember the drive-through monkey section. And that's about it. TFTC.

Visiting while taking Pitman Clan, Jake and Cheeese Pizza on a caching outing
Stopped by to grab this whist night caching with others who had did this one. Some really unusual noises coming from nearby in the bushed, um yep found , signed, done, go!!Mum always spoke of this park and how they had a few animals escape. She still believes this explains the massive hybrid cats often seen in the area that some still see as myth! I did once actually hit one with my car!
Found the cache with AWTYOW and gabstar but we're unable to sign as we found a new friend the was unwilling to let us pull out the cache.
Oh we found it... but we couldn't touch it a second time after we initially tried to pick it up. The world's largest huntsman was guarding it and moving towards us whenever we moved towards the cache. After a tense stand off that just resulted in the beast moving to a more protective position over the cache the three mildly hysterical females on the side of the road at night gave up on getting further than our first contact. TFTC!
Found with a terrifying 8-legged freak present that was bigger than my hand... possibly bigger than Dwight Shrute's hand too! TFTC
