Logs
This cache has been muggled a few to many times so we are sorry to have to close it.
We found a brown square wood piece that could conceal a log but there was no paper inside. We put it back where we found it.

Spent a while here searching all the obvious places. Lovely lady comes running over to us to tell us she knows what we are looking for and promptly puts her hand the same place we had checked a few times over. She informs us it’s definitely been muggled, what a shame!
Headed down this way for some R&R with the family in a friends campervan. ....exploring some of the local attractions we came across this cache. ...
Pulled in here and spotted a few people have had an issue with this one which made me more focused to make the find. ...a few minutes more than expected. ..but the result I was looking for. ..nice hide. ...

Way too hard for us have been back 3 times, read through all the comments for clues. Even been in the dark with torches so we could poke around without being seen it was still beyond us.

Wonderful cache here in my home town. Was logging a few caches and see This was overlooked to log since my last visit to family. Thx for the smilie.
Last time i was we couldn't even get close to look too many people. Today no problems. Looked for a while then just as I started to go for the more logical high5zoe goes I think I've found it. Sure enough there it is. Cool cache. Blends in well. Log sheet was full so added 3 small sheets of refill to keep it going. Tftc
Had to sit here a wee while as loads of muggles. Eventually we had the chance to grab the cool cache. Gets a fave from us TFTC
Very clever hide here. We are on a caching day out with 3 year old Noids. Everything "fell apart" so we had to stop for lunch. Sat at a nearby table. Waited for muggles to move and in for the hunt. Back to the table to sign and using Noids as a decoy replaced. Thanks for the cache Murray n Janet.
Great cache nice camo with a fresh coating....must have friends in high places lol..thanks Murray and Janet for a great placement great statue
Driving through Kawerau and chose to stop for just this one, a high favourite cache. What an impressive carving, and the hide was very clever and original. Thankfully it was spotted without too much delay. another favourite added, thanks Murray'n'Janet.
Took a few moments for me to find this but all's well in the end. Clever hide, TFTC
Geocaching with Drewnukutarawhiti today n her team - the competition was on! A total of three to find today so while they were swimming, my niece and I who was on our team, snuck off to get some finds while they were swimming. A first find for my niece, she's got the geocaching bug. A clever hide. TFTGC!
This sounded tricky but luckily we've been trained by the best in Finland So no problems here - just a quick log and we were continuing our journey. TFTC
BTW: This was the best hidden geocache during our trip.

Looking at the obvious initially. Wandered over to other structure.

We had to look twice for this 1. It was hidden very cleverly was cool to finally find it tho.
Found this in October with Mum but came back today and signed the log under my own cache name This has to be one of my favourites! TFTC
Cool hide. Enjoy these stealthy, and well camouflaged caches. Just sitting here now waiting for the muggles to move on before I replace. Tftc. #16 consecutive day find for me.
We've looked for this one before without any luck, but today we went straight to it. Funny how some days you see things & some days you don't.
A nicely cam'd cache. Thanks M'n'J

A quick park and grab for us today. Nicely crafted cache. Very quiet around here today tftc
Stumped. Too many Muggles although we did linger to try n figure it out. Looks like another call to Janet for a clue
This been playing on our minds all day. Pulled up and wala! The penny dropped and miss 9 figured it out within a flash. Very awesome TFTC M&J
This one gets my fave point of the day. The park was relatively empty which made my search easier. Didn't take long before I was signing the log of a well thought out and constructed cache.
I enjoyed the view of the mountain also.

After what had been a full week and the disappointment of not heading to White Island on Saturday and then it being once again cancelled late last night Alpenmilch80 and I decieded to head over this way and see what we could find before possibly making it back to the event in Rotorua later in the day.
After the disappointment of not going away this could not have been a nicer day to spend caching with a very good friend. This was our first cache of the day here in Kawerau and as previously had had trouble with muggled caches so was unsure how our luck would hold out but were just happy to grab what we could.
It took only a moment to locate the cache in a nice little park that we had never visited before, soon had the cache in hand retruned to its spot and we were on our way once again. Today we signed most of the caches as "ACDC".
Thanks for the cache and the fun contained therein

Plans were made to head to White Island this weekend with Cats&Dragons but weather forecasted some gale warnings and the operator cancelled on us twice. Being already down in Hamilton we decided for Sunday to make a full day out to collect 50 smiles. And that’s what we indeed did. .
Beside the weather warning it turned out to be a great day with a lot of laughter and awesome company. Signed the logs as "ACDC" \m/. Great camo. TFTC

There was another car parked near GZ but luckily we were able to search without being observed. Spotted something that on closer inspection did indeed turn out to be the cache. Very nicely done, and a great Log'n sculpture. Adding a favourite point.
Yay - my first favourite of the day. Great hide, lots of thought and effort and it has that something extra. Love it. tftc.
Nearly stumped on this one so started reading clues. Over from Rotorua for a birthday party at the hot pools. Great find, come cross a similar sneaky hide not to long ago so my eyes where tuned in once I read clues about its camo. Tftc
Found this on our way down to Kawerau for the little fella to play league, nice quick find on a cold winter morning, especially went for this one because of all the fav points, had to search for a little while, pushing and prodding at things, read a few logs which helped and aha gotcha, nice camo, and well deserving of a fav point from us, tftc
My first cache out of Rotorua after a lovely hot soak. TFTC. Later happened to meet the cache operator as we retrieved another cache. Great to meet you both. Will be back for some more caching another time
Fantastic wooden sculpture. Excellent hide - had to return with my glasses on !!! Many thanks for the placemnt...another favourite
Finished another day of work and decided to do a few more caches around town before leaving. This cache was very inventive. A brilliant disguise. Deserves a fav for the day. Thanks for the cache Murray and Janet.
on our long holiday to taranaki and back to gisborne, a loop track.nice log and cache, TFTC
I love caches that have been well thought out. This is one of them however the Log book needs replacing. TFTC
Very inventive hide, took me a while to spot as very congruent with surroundings. A favourite for me!
Great hide, very clever, log paper starting to get full, I'm the 6th so far today.
Passing through on the way to find CANZ B of P, all virgin territory for me so I decided to detour via Kawerau.
Excellent hide, Murray'n'Janet - another favourite from me - thanks for your effort with this great cache.

This one had me and my sister scratching our heads for a while, which made finding the cache even more exciting! Hehe. My favourite hidden cache by far!!!
Woohoo awesome cache. Had a quick look first time couldnt find anything so went off to find another cache closeby as muggles were everywhere. Came back again..took a lil while but finally found it! Tftc
Found it with Granny'ma and Um'pa after a swim at the pools.
Never thought a cache could be like this
Thank you

We really enjoyed our biking tour of Kawerau - our first visit. We parked the car at New World and biked from there. This was our first find of the day and a great hide. TFTC. #235
Cool carving and a great hide, just Log’n another find in Kawerau, many thanks for the cache.
Time was moving on so we grabbed a delicious feed of fish and chips from "Pauls", sat at the table here then wandered over an decided to look where I would put one and there it was.

Kept us amused for a while during lunch. Swapped the iPhone for the Garmin Etrex before we were able to locate it. Very clever hide - perfect in fact. Pretty busy on this corner, so the retrieval and replacement had to be carefully timed. A favourite for us. TFTC

a great hide so a favourite point from us. I only wish we had more time to find some more of your caches in Kawerau. t4tc
GREAT hide. We love finding such different hides. And the information about Lg 'N' Jack gave us the information we needed to complete our Motor Home Mystery rally questions. Thanks to Geo Caching we won. YAY
Saw it straight away and had no problem extracting. Had it signed and about to replace it by the time M had finished taking photos. Awesome carving by three artists. A favourite from us.
Thanks M'n'J Apache found cache quickly but took a while to retrieve as it was very snug a favourite from us.
Today we teamed up with Squirrel Nutcase to make a foray in Geckoh Country.
The Squirrel had already got this one, so he left us to ponder. Finally much head scratching and getting only sawdust, we twigged.
Nice hide M&J. Thanks and have a fav to add to the others.

Last cache for the day while out for some fun geocaching with the betterbax team. thought this cache with lots of favourites might be interesting. It didn't disappoint. This was a super creative cache, superbly positioned. Thanks for the effort. Deserves another favourite from us.
Tricky to find. Great idea and cleverly placed. Thanks for you effort with this cache.
Oh wow. Thought I would be in for a treat with a murray and janet hide and I wasnt mistaken. Love caches that have local camo. Tftc
A nice sculpture and an interestingly crafted cache which took some time to locate, and a bit more to extract.

This cache was found as part of my epic as move down south to Christchurch from Auckland - A drive that involved around 3,000km, 350 caches, 14 days, and a bit of a detour through East Cape, Gisbourne, Napier/Hastings, some back roads in the Wairarapa, Cape Pallisier and Nelson/Tasman as well as every CANZ cache along the way that I was still missing. (Hence my excuse for the not as interesting log as I usually try to make mine.) But thanks to every awesome amazing as cacher that placed caches along these roads, you made my trip awesome, and very cache happy!

16.45: On the way from Lake Tarawera back to Paengaroa. We took a break here in Kawerau and admired the sculpture, visited the nearby thermal pool (NO entrance fee!) and decided to try this cache... It took way longer than expected, but in the end: very very nice piece of work! Well camouflaged, it needs more than one look to realize!
Weather: sun and showers alternating, 18°C;
Wheelchair: yes, somehow very helpful...[8)];
State: all good.
IN & OUT: nothing.
Thank you for this well-crafted cache and for showing the place!

After looking for quite a while we nearly gave up. Retreated to the car for a think. Another look and we spotted it. Very clever stash.
I guess it is camouflaged very well as I spent ages looking. Also, heaps of small muggles about. Bad timing. Oh well, maybe next visit across the ditch.
