If you would like to take over this cache let me know. I don't have time to maintain it.
Needed all the family for this one - about to give up when one child pointed out the possible cache - tool from car needed some inside knowledge and we found it (no water reticulation in this area!)
When I got to GZ, I looked down the slope and thought it was going to be harder than the D rating, but then I spotted the thing and was able to find the cache quite safely. Great hide. TFTC.
TFTC. A pleasant days caching.
Thank you for all those who placed these caches for others to enjoy.
A favourite point from me. Lovely cache.

Spotted another blue face as we race towards another PWGT cache and with a slight detour we arrived at GZ – we had only just begun searching when everything fell into place and we wondered how on earth we had missed that the first time we looked, but then that was back in 2011. Really pleased to put this clever little cache hide to bed. Well worth a favourite point. TFTC

Found with NZDi. Mrs Kiwimykl (aka NZDi) had some retail therapy to do which could only be done in Nelson today. We also popped in to see my Mum at the Marsden Cemetary to freshen the flowers on her grave while we were here. It wasn't a lot of shopping, so she got me to look at the geocaching map last night and sort out somewhere to cache this afternoon. Brightwater was somewhere that seemed to have a high proportion of green dots, (just like almost everywhere in the Nelson/Tasman region despite regular visits to this side of the hill). Which is why we are here today. We had no specific targets in mind, but we ended getting a nice round twenty caches, mainly Traditionals, but with the odd Mystery and Multi thrown in as well. Of course we also did the local Adventure Lab cache and its' bonus cache too. Logs were either logged in full, or where space was at a premium, the abridged version of KM + ND was used.
We had a quick look for this at the start of our Twin Rivers Loop walk but the place was muggle central with all and sundry congregating at GZ from both directions at the same time as we were looking. So we decided to check again when we completed the loop as our car was parked nearby. While walking the loop I thought about what I had seen at GZ and one particular thing warranted more attention, so that is where I concentrated my efforts this time. Initially I thought I had got it wrong, but something didn't quite gel, so I took a second look and all was revealed.
I can see why this has got a high percentage of favourites, and it gets another one form us. I'm out of them at the moment as I've been throwing them around a bit too free and easily, but I'll have a word to NZDi and suggest she gives you one as she's a bit more stingy with her FPs.

Found with Kiwimykl while out caching around Brightwater, refer to his log for details.
I cannot see any reason for the Needs Maintenance to be flagged against this cache. Plus one from me as requested by Kiwimykl.

What should I do today? I'll head out to Brightwater and come find this cache! Perfect co-ords put me on GZ and then I did the rest. Thanks Southward4, nicely done.
Out giving the dog a little walk around Brightwater today and grabbing a few caches. Stopped and grabbed this one. Managed to open no problem as brought with me today an opening device and cache quickly in hand. Now for a little play in the river. Thanks for the cache.
Nice to be away on another geocaching trip with tmann421, travelling to a few places in the upper South Island.

Needed a hint where this one was (where I suspected). Nicely done. A muggle working in the vineyard nearby was fortunately a reasonable distance away. TFTC
A Tool is needed and it is in a really obvious spot like all the other reviews say and it was a really fun geocache. TFTC
Looked in the location, dnf, looked again after much confusion and bam there it was! Very clever
#4787. 8 of 8 for today.
[Sincere apologies for the delayed logging. Life ... a global pandemic ... and life got in the way. Better late than never.]

Final cache for the evening. Took a couple of seconds to figure out the location, but we prevailed. TFTC!

A wedding anniversary to celebrate - provides a convenient excuse for a longer than usual vacation. So 3 weeks and travel to Australia and New Zealand sounds like an excellent plan. General itinerary is as follows:
2 October: Depart from home with a layover in Houston, TX
4 October (long flight + time zones = lost day): Arrive in Sydney
4-7 October: Sydney
7-15 October: New Zealand South Island
16-21 October: New Zealand North Island
21-23 October: Sydney
23 October: Fly home through Vancouver, Canada
Saw a ton and had an absolutely wonderful time. Can't wait to make it back here!

Very clever hide. Got into stage 1 and nearly missed stage 2 - the cache itself. Sl. Tftc
Out for a bike ride with Lustylass on a cool but sunny day and a chance to hunt down some of the caches around Brightwater that we didn't get to on a previous visit. We didn't find the tool but noticed the cache hide and thought "what's that doing here". Very good concealment in plain sight.
This is my second visit to the area and another chance to do some caching with the bonus of a bike ride by the river. i have brought Bovverboy along to do the heavy lifting and dirty work. Loved this one. I was standing on it when BB said "what's that doing here?"
Great!
Fav from me. Fooled me first. Started looking for the tool needed, thinking it would give me an idea of the cache.
No tool found. So I left the place, went for some other caches and had another look when coming back.
Lot of natural camo on top made it hard to spot, once I saw it though it made click. Opened with the help of a spoon
Used the spoon to look for the container, no luck, then I saw it blinking.
Signed and replaced

I just had to check on this beaut while out walking the dog.
I confirm that all is well with the cache and is still as it always was.
Go find.

Quick find while a group of us bike the Great Taste Trail, aiming for the ones close to the trail so that I don't hold up my muggle friends. This cache is still in place with a cunning hide - had me scratching my head for a little while but then something stood out and the cache was quickly in hand. TFTC
Out with Tufty helping him to locate a few caches on the Two Rivers Walkway near Brightwater. This was the tenth one on this walk today.
TFTC.

My granddaughter, Redco5, and I decided to have a walk along the 2-rivers walkway. No. 10 for the walk.
Cheers for the cache.

What a nice hide , was a little bit tricky
It's worthy for a FP.
Thank Southward4 for showing this spot and maintain the cache.

We went directly to it. Looked at it, And continued for 15 minutes to search, before returning. NICE

Spotted the cache site almost immediately, so feigned interest in the signboard whilst some muggles went by and then reread description while hubby invested cache site. Couldn't see any chained gates so was checking round for tool when hubby said he had cache open. A suggestion from me and we soon had log in hand for signing. Replaced as found then had another quick look for the 'tool'. Doesn't seem to be there anymore. tftc
This cache ended up being not what we expected at all. Could not find any tool attached to the gate, but found the cache after a 'what is that doing here?' moment, the cache hide was spotted and a suitable tool was grabbed from the car. A FP from us. TFTC Southward4
Day 2 of our weekend in Nelson. Today's caching target was Wakefield and Brightwater, places we were not too familiar with. All up a successful day by our standards - 26 or so found with a couple of DNFs for various reasons, but we had a good brunch out at Brightwater and got to briefly meet a CO on our travels. A few good walks and a decent amount of multis to allow us to learn more about these towns. Thanks to all COs for the caches. We will be back, hardly scratched the surface

Nicely done. An instant find - well once I'd borrowed TregearP's multi tool.
All in good order, signed log and replaced as found. Thanks for the cache.

Felt like we needed to get out and explore despite the rain and the walk up one side of the river and down the other seemed perfect. A very clever cache, thanks
Love it. Well Themed indeed. We couldnt find the tool but used something from the car no problem. +FP from us. Thanks for the smilie
See You should always read the cache description. BEFORE looking for the cache. Me, I hardly ever do that. So after Taybeedragon and I looked all over for the cache and not finding it, it was time to try the only other solution. Grabbed a suitable tool from the car - a pen. Promptly broke it. Darn. Found the cache (nicely done, by the way, but alas does not fit any of the trackables in my pocket).
the next day the dragon and I were walking the river trail and right at the end we saw this was the next cache coming up. Which meant I saw the title. And suddenly the penny dropped. Should always read the cache description! It just might save you 5-10 minutes of pointless searching. (That's me speaking from experiences, that is!)

The Seagnoid has a caching mission of two this weekend so the Team (The Seagnoid, Zara, Toby and I head to Brightwater, Nelson to complete his mission. The Seagnoid is a box of fluffy ducks at 5am so its time to start our day although daylight is hours away. Jump in Toby and BUGGER - flat battery. Very flat and no go with a couple of crash start attempts. So its a call to Mr AA for much needed assistance. OK that changes this mornings events and we settle for P&Gs around Brightwater for the next couple of hours to give Toby time to recover.
Leaving Toby running we start searching around GZ and down the rock bank. OK this is getting us nowhere. So The Seagnoid finally reads his techy thing and we finally zero in on GZ. Yes this could be it - yes it is it. Love this - very sneeky. The Seagnoid must be asleep, because this is just down his thinking alley. Cheers

Great spot and super river view.Seem to have seen something like this before somewhere. Thanks for the cache. Bit of maintenance needed on log.
Second time lucky we had some help from another member he just left on the road thank you for your help
Visiting a Friend in Brightwater so grabbed a few caches along his walking route. This one had stumped JEGSBIGG - but they are new cachers...I quickly led them to where the cache was hidden. TFTC
Made me smile when I saw it. Luckily I had a tool that helped gain access too. FP from me and thanks for the hide.
Found on a long weekend up in Nelson/Marlborough, with family, friends, and caching. Ticks all my boxes!!
Thanks to all of the CO's for the hides. Cheers.

Had a look around at the start of my walk with no luck finding the cache or the tool. On the way back I had time to read a bunch of previous logs which gave me a better idea of what I was looking for. No tool but my keys did the job, then a quick head scratch and the log was located.
Great cache, thanks very much!
Great cache, thanks very much!
After cycling the south island for 2 months we are spending the last 2 weeks of our holiday in the Nelson area - and naturally we need to log some caches . This one deserves another favorit - tftc!
Found whilst cycling the Great Taste Trail. #11 of 27 found today. Sorry for the generic log. TFTC.
TFTC - this cach is amazing - so pleased to be out tonight finding some caches with Marchwood . And pleased to stop here and grab this smilie
That was fun. Great title. Took a bit and didn't find a tool but had one with us. Here in scenic New Zealand with HennyGeo on holidays from Vancouver Island, Canada TFTC.
Here on vacation with SwagHo from Vancouver Island, Canada visiting and geocaching in NZ TFTC.
Last time we passed here we were unable to grab this cache. Today we were in a better position to do this so it was a quick find. The log was full so we added some extra paper for the cachers to follow. TFTC this gets a favourite from us.
Love it! Easily retrieved and log signed - once we looked beyond the clue about a metal post! Favourite from us!
very good hide but it would not stop task force cache(me mot hunter msebn) good hide prized it open with a two dollar coin and a stone
Biked from Richmond to the Wine & Food fest. Nothing for it but to gather some caches on the way. This one is really worth a favorite. It took a double look to realize not all was as it should be. TFTC!!!
Quite impressed with this one. Very clever. Enjoyed finding this. Caching with 9 3/4
Good job on this cache!! Figured out how the cache worked but we never located the "tool" had to improvise and it worked in our favour at first our reaction was the log was missing but it wasn't long until we realised what was going on. Caching with Night-Elle Thanks!!
Great cache. Almost had us fooled but it was not quite true to label so we knew we were on to something.
Multiple challenges overcome in order to sign this log. Well conceived and executed cache. TFTC
Found the container with the words official Geocache do not remove but there is no log book inside to sign
Today is (yet again) a day to head over the hill with mrs capperz, nightowl19 and Tally the dog for a combined caching and shopping trip. No guesses which part of that equation was my choice for the day! I seem to have been on 49xx caches for a while and could sense a few over 20 would get the 5K sized monkey off my back. So I plotted a few solved puzzles, contacted some CO's for some pointers, thanks guys, and a few more out Brightwater way where Tally and I can enjoy a decent Dad and dog waking session. Mission was accomplished just out of Wakefield, not really one for symbolic caches for landmarks and a nice day was enjoyed. Luckily the threatened rain never came until I'd got the penultimate cache of the day so there was no need (desire) to continue along the Spooners road and grab any of those. Came back via Wai-iti Road and popped out in the top of St Arnaud for a quick coffee and puzzle cache before heading along cache highway SH-63 and home. Thanks to all those COs who have helped me reach this wonderful amount, still remember no 1 so clearly. . . . . . . 10 years ago!
Parked up, released the hound and wandered around. My car was blocking another returning walker so dog back in the car again as I moved it.
Got back in the car then thought. . . . . . . . . . I wonder how many caches down towards and past that bridge? Lots! Great walks from here on in
T F T C Southward4, best of this type of hide I've seen. Good attention to detail, F P of couse

[Took us a while then we finally gave up on trying to find the tool and just opened the ]water meter [with a Alan key. Searched in water meter and then found writing on lid say geocaching please do not remove, couldn't find the container anywhere. Please replace.]
Took a little walk along the trail this afternoon, and took a look. I was at the right spot, but didn't realize it. Fortunately, she figured out the secret and we soon had the clever cache in hand. Thanks for the extra effort. Earns a favorite.
For once this was a quiet spot. So often cars, walkers and bikers passing, it seems to have become a main highway recently
Thanks Southward4
Thanks Southward4
Did`nt take too long ,have seen one like this before , its good so will get a fave from us. TFTC.
Pretty confident we found the spot it should be but no cache to be found (or 'tool'). Either both are very cleverly hidden or needs checking.
