This cache seems to have been missing with no attention for more then 2 years now.
This geocacher reported that this geocache should be archived. A community volunteer reviewer has been notified.
Searched high and low. No luck. Aftr so many dnfs maybe owner could check on this one
The GeoSchnauzers and I walked down here from the earthcache. Then we walked up to the top looking for this one, only to find it was down the other side. So back down we went. I think I can see where the cache might be, but there is no way I'm climbing up there. I'm on my own, with CindyCat and SmileyBear having left to continue their journey south. Also, it's only 10 months since I severely broke my ankle. Maybe some other time? Thanks for bringing us here.
On the way back to thew car, the dolphin pods we had seen a couple of caches ago were back, still chasing fish. You'd think the fish would get tired, wouldn't you?

Down here enjoying a Kayaking holiday with friends...
Without 3G I had no description loaded, and so my search from above was in vain.

The plaque is gone ( just glue fixing markings) and so I suspect is the cache
We were in the are atoday doing the nearby EC and thought we'd investigate even though there had been a string of DNF's. Well we walked away with the same opinion.
No luck for us today
No luck for us today
The plaque has been removed. While standing on the ledge looking for possible locations, hubby stepped up to inspect a potential spot (that turned up nothing) only to have the shelf collapse (everything above the ledge is very unstable) & him fall to the ledge & then loose his balance & land on the sand below. I thought he broke his leg.... Not the case but I'd say he'll be sore in the morning.
I'll log a needs maintenance as I don't think anyone else should climb up if it has gone with the plaque.
Thanks for bringing us around the rocky foreshore as we found star fish & octopus in the rock pools (made the kids day). Not all bad.

This one needs checking to see if it is still in place - see previous log for details.
Zuerst wollten wir es von oben versuchen. Keine Chance. Runter zum Strand und dann wieder ein kleines Stück gen Himmel. Der Hint war ja eindeutig.
After a little climb we found the memory and the container. Thanks for showing us this place. #3864
Walked from swan Lake Tourist park at 6am. Couldn't find anything up top, so sat down and read past logs.
From there I knew where I needed to be, so off I trotted down to the beach and around the point and spotted the plaque. Climbed up to have CIH soon afterwards. (Near the plaque) Thanks jommyd2107

Found the plaque but thought better of it. Too much for a ill prepared (ie barefooted) single unfit male geocher!
The cache was about 12m up the cliff and was quite a difficult climb, probably a 4 or 4.5. There was crumbling rock and no safety line available. I moved the cache down to a ledge above the plaque and put rocks around it. The container is broken and the contents saturated. SL TNLN TFTC
Wow love a challenge and all the loose rocks made it a little sketchy. Log and containet are soaked through so need some maintenance. Couldnt sign coz to wet. Red army man in there as proof
Wow Lady Kay & I found cache ok. Not recommended after a couple glass of pinot grigio. Cache container cracked & contents mouldy. Requires maintaince.
Near high tide so was a little tricky. Quite wet cache but didnt have time to dry so returned damp. Came with tokens94.
Well - this one turned out to be much more interesting than you average mint tin on the street corner. We came along the beach and found dozens of dead mutton birds washed up... That was a little creepy. (And smelly) We reached the cliff, and realised that we needed to be on the other side of it! But the tide was well and truly coming in! So I gave all my personal effects (except GPS) to my partners, and balanced around the cliff base with waves splashing at my feet. Once around, I scaled the wall (easy in comparison), and found the cache quickly. The contents are very wet, and I just managed to write my name on the cache note with the provided pencil. Some maintenance would be good. Thanks Jimmy!
Found with CJ whilst heading down the coast for some caching.
We've been wanting to get to Sussex Inlet and do the nearby caches. We kept an eye on this particular case for its D/T rating and as it was a little more challenging. Today we had the chance to get down here. The description and coords were excellent. The hint was good. I got straifed by the sand flies climbing around the rock line at high tide. They were everywhere on the point! Anyway, I found the location fast and thankfully there no muggles around. I made the find using some good caching logic and we both soon had the cache in hand. Very clever camo and hide technique.
Anyway, it was a great day to chase down these south coast caches. It was a nice location and I know the area well, having spent holidays with the family down here as a kid. Thanks Jimmyd2107 for another great cache. This one has been ticked off, however as the log was soaked through we couldn't sign it. TNLN TFTC

When we got to the beach we wondered if we should chance the waves to get around to the GZ where the GPS was pointing. While deliberating, a really friendly local walking the beach with her dogs approached and encouraged us go for it, to navigate around the corner of the rocky cliff headland. She had no idea why we were doing this, and we didn't let on. I provided the recon and AM made the grab. We can see why this one had the higher terrain rating. AM had been really keen to get this one. The log book was completely soaked, though, so we did not sign. TFTC, JD!
Just knew this one was going to be fun from the moment we viewed the beach and were no where near the stairs with the gloom of night descending. At least the tide was low enough, though incoming. Sending our mountain goats after the prize was a lot of fun and sending the container back to them even funnier! Made it back with only two wet feet but much laughter. SL, TNLN, TFTC Jimmyd
Tide was on my side this morning, after the small storm the night before the rocks where very slippery but still a easy climb. Great hide and cache. Thanks for the small adventure.
Arrived today and decided I had better fill in the calendar with this one as it is close and it was low tide.
After a few beers, I was a little unstable on this cliff face...although it was a quick grab I really should not have tried this.LOL.
Oh well, got it on a great afternoon.

Out caching with GillandTony today, approached from above then realised a different tack required. Nice little rock scramble, had a read of the plaque then made a quick find. Nice spot here, TFTC!
My 100th cache! And what a nice one to find for that august occasion. I was on a caching trip to celebrate Geoson NationalSteel's birthday and this was the third of the day.
I had previously looked at this one from the top, but didn't feel up to a climb that day. However, with NS as backup, we walked around the headland and climbed up to the first level.. NS then climbed to get the cache and it was soon in hand.
Lovely area. TFTC

loved the great beach hike and the cache plus was feeling lucky and thought i would go extra hiking and went up and down a cliff face Tftc.
a bit of a search but soon had cache in hand, with help of geo kids(katty and leroy)
Initally looking on the wrong side we needed to decide how to change location. Wilbert's option was looking way too feirce so we took the long way round which is still quite steep and chalanging. The beach was deserted, as you would expext. Once the gps started homing in in didn't take too long for the find. Duties done, now how do we get out?.. Great cache good fun. Thanks
And very pleased with ourselves too ! After reading some of the logs we really didn't hold much hope of being able to make the climb. It really tested our agility and nerves. A beautiful part of the world with lots of muggles out enjoying the sunshine. Thanks for bringing us here. SL Took garfield TB & left keyring. TFTC
Caching today with RiverRuners, and what a perfect afternoon on the beach! I could've happily explored the crystal clear rock-pools and dipped in the sparkling sea. BUT...there was a cliff to climb, so off we went. With some trepidation we clambered up, and with RR going one way and me the other, I luckily chose the right path and soon found the well hidden cache. Co-ords were spot on.
Thanks for a great cache Jimmyd2107, in a top spot! Favourite.

Arrived and parked within 150 m from GZ, that's gonna be a quick grab!! WRONG!
Went down and got till 40 m within GZ and then stuck, nowhere to go, high sea and high tide!! Went back and took the next beach access, went past another cache (wich I didn't know at that point) and was down at the beach with 350 m to go this time. No easy going at all, lots of negotiations! But made it to GZ somehow(normally at low tide an easy stroll??) Once at GZ I fullfilled the 5 star terrain difficulty already and was glad the climb wasn't that hard.

nice stroll on rocks and sand, found correct memorial (clue helped) and had to send partner up to retrieve as got halfway and chickened out. Took TB to send on its way
I could see GZ after getting up to the memorial but decided that given my history of falling out of trees as a child, slipping off river banks into the water in my youth & sliding down rock faces as an adult that discretion should take precedence of valour. I had also left my PLB at home & there was no one about who could call an ambulance. So I went back down the way I came up - backwards! One of my favourite DNFs. I note that Rock-hopper hasn't found it yet so I may return as a guide. Thanks Jimmyd2107.
great hide.. loved this one.. i did not get the clue but found it anyway.. it was an easy climb, not too bad. Thanks
IMHO, this was a worthy challenge. Even though previous cachers have down played the terrain, I had some difficulty. And to lose your balance or footing would definitely result in serious injury.
Great views, with the surf pounding in.

Yet another quick easy cache.. IMO, I think this would be about a 3.5 star terrain, and it was only about 3m above ground.. maybe 10m from the top though! This is the kind of cache I like to look for, i enjoyed it very much thanks!! Left a travel bug!
Work had taken me down south, a rare event these days, and I had some time up my sleeve and decided to do some caching on the way home. I approached this cache with some trepidation given the ratings, but ended up having no problems with this one at all, though would be a little bit iffy in the wet. Nice view and a nice and peaceful location this evening. Thanks for the cache Jimmyd2107

After glancing across the 5 star terrain, the difficulty and the name 'the reef,' I had an awful feeling it was out on the rock platform, only available at low tide or even in the water! Luckily, after some reading, it was just some climbing needed. Upon arriving at the area, we had to suss out the best route. I was severely tempted to climb from the top down over the dense bushes, after seeing the GPS pointing to the right only a couple of metres! But knew this was an awful idea. We made our way down to the beach, climbed around the rocks and then up to where we thought the cache would be. In about a minute the cache was in hand, and luckily, there was no vertical climbing needed. On the way back we lost a member of our party temporarily (don't climb out!) TNLNSL
It may be slightly difficult to complete right on a high or especially king tide, so keep that in mind. TFTC!

I love the hidden area this cache is in I decided to climb back over as a short escape and almost fell right to the bottom. For future cachers, I recommend going through the water if you kind find a suitable walking track
Would have given this one a go but the rain was coming down very heavily so we decided we'd leave it for another day when it's drier and safer. We'll be back someday when we're next down this way...
Wasn't sure whether to try this one or not - terrain 5 with kids in tow is not normally very clever, but we thought we would have a look anyway. Got to the plaque easily enough, then it was time to look and think. Spotted a likely spot and was rewarded with a ....... second to find. Well done Smugglers on your FTF..
