Found this one with JustR. Sorry for the very late log. I've not been on in a VERY long time and am, only just now, catching up on logs. This was one of many rms caches that kept us in the game for streak challenges. TFTC

No longer there. Was an awesome place for one though! Should possibly be recached!
Oh my God, they have painted the tunnel..
It is spooky bigtime now.
If you are quick, you will see it.... A tunnel in Newtown/Stanmore with no graffitti AT ALL.
Just glaring... beige.

Didn't not find despite being with others who found it in the past! Seems to be gone?!?
Couldn't find it after extensive day search. Maybe we'll have better luck at night. Searched every nook and cranny
When we saw that the last logs were all DNFs, including one by someone who had previously found the cache, we decided to carry on.
Looked during the day(ish), clue made perfect sense but found nothing
Awesome tunnel though so thanks ^_^

As mentioned, the group of us couldn't find this - despite having a previous finder with us. Such a cool idea, I hope to get back in there one day.
I've found this one before - but it wasn't where I had found it previously... or anywhere that I could see. Apparently muggled?
After spending the day in Newcastle on business and caching, Decided to take the long drive down the Expressway to the Big Smoke and do some night caching. First to find Spooky by Day, Bright by Night in Newtown and return through Ryde Pennant Hills. Had a few minor problems negotiating the narrow streets in the Geo Truck, On arrival my GPS told me I was at the GZ took me a little while to find the stairs to the tunnel, When I descended the stairs to the tunnel it was like descending into the underworld where reality and the world as we know it ends, WOW so surreal the opposite side of the coin to the places I usually cache in. Had the place to myself quickly found and signed the log. After which I spend the next half an hour examining the artwork, Fantastic, Great Cache, Thanks for bringing me here. going to award a favourite for this one. TFTC
The GPSr was insisting that the sun wasn't up but the lights were already off... Quick find using the light of the phone but couldn't make out much of the artwork. Thanks.
I really loved the vibrant around GZ, although GZ itself wasn't so vibrant this afternoon. I hope you will accept my find since I didn't actually write in the log...I didn't realise what was required until I had walked from Central Station and had no means to safely retrieve and return the cache. It was well worth the walk to GZ either way since the weather was lovely and I thoroughly enjoyed Newtown. Thanks for this hide rinsemesocks.
Great little tunnel quite dark during the day but empty and easy to find with little skulking. SL tftc will have to come back at night and check out the artwork.
Found with Kaosgirlee! Didn't have a pen so left a dollar instead! Easy find. Tftc
Yeah sorry, but we had to do it by day as well, as time didn't permit for us to return later.

Found by night, retuned in daylight to sign the log. Keep forgetting a pen...
An immediate grab, although in daylight. I can imagine the place must indeed look great at night! TFTC.
Very good cache! Log book is all filled up, ended up going way back and finding an earlier spot which had a little room. A fun little find.
TFTC,
Great cache! Didn't take long. As I live practically
Next to it it is amazing to think how many times

Went down in the light of the morning and expected this to be quite challenging after reading the description. As luck would have it I put my hand straight on it! Cool tunnel that I would never have seen otherwise!
Found it on our anniversary after dinner! Cheers for the hide. Only a couple of pages left in the log. Accidentally logged this in forgotten Australian three... Oops rookie error! Have solved this one but yet to find the cache.
Definitely better at night...but still spooky! And loud when a train goes over! TFTC!
Tftc
No muggles arround
Just the police and me:)
Now the police knows that there is a game making people searching stuff in tunnels:)

Another late night cache run with Rat&Brats to keep the streak going. Interesting artwork. TFTC.
Interesting tunnel - not one I even knew about... The brickwork is amazing... Typical RMS hide - not difficult to reach even though I'm only 1.75m tall...
SL TFTC!!

Found it on a quiet Saturday morning. All I could hear was the birds and the echo of my footsteps... Until a train thundered past overhead.
Parked in this street for the Fun. Concert at the Encore. Being a place we don't often come to we turned on the phone and found this cache. Hmm street art in a spooky tunnel. Hell yeah! Wandered up the tunnel and found the cache quite easily as we are both in excess of 180cm. Thanks RMS for the great cache in a cool tunnel.

Couldn't sign log as didn't have pen on me but photo will be provided upon request. I

Found during day and without any box or another help. I think I am quite normally tall. TFTC
We arrived at this cache on a walk from dulwich hill to new town and were glad to be out of the rain.
Quion and I fussed about for a minute or two getting our respective illumination devices ready, only to stand up and spot the hide immediately.
can't complain about that.
Thanks for the cache in a well known and very familiar part of newtown.

I had had a wuick stop here once before from the other side but today I was onto the cache pretty quickly. Hardest part was dragging the bike up and down the stairs on the N side. TFTC!
I didn't think I was really of above average height, so thanks for the little ego boost! The tunnel looks amazing at night.
Super easy find. I'm glad to discover I am above average height.. first one for the year so was good fun. Tftc!
After picking up FA7 nearby I still had some time for finding another cache. I parked close to the tunnel, read the description and hints and took with me iPhone (doubling as a torch), one glove (did not have to use it) and a pen. Walking thru the tunnel I spotted the cache just about where I would expect it. I'm a tall guy, so no problem reaching the cache. SL and replaced the cache as I found it. Actually I quite liked the tunnel even during daytime.
Thanks rinsemesocks!
Thanks rinsemesocks!
Arrived on a dark overcast day so had to wait until the lights came on. And they didn't disappoint - it really does 'light up' by night.
Nice hide!

This cache is just achievable within the lunch hour for me, if I had found it faster then less than a lunch hour.
It was a cool day and good for a walk to a cache. I walked past "Of corsets a bus seat" but didn't have any luck there so walked up the road here not sure if I was brave enough to hope for a find as I have looked here and failed before. From the description i knew that this would be easier at night but I am not sure if it would be less spooky, tunnels always have that spooky feel no matter how well lit if you ask me. So by the light of my phone i began to inspect all the wrong spots just like last time. A couple of times I heard voices so I pretended that like the people that passed me i was simply passing through the tunnel. I really didn't want to give anyone the impression that I was laying in wait for them. I mean what possible reason could you have for loitering in a place like this? It was a bit awkward but eventually with a third passer I just smiled and said hello. They looked a bit concerned and kept moving.
Time was moving along so I read the hint (again) but it didn't seem like a code that said anything to me. Unless... It means.... Ahah a closer inspection of what it might have meant led me to the cache. Well done rinsemesocks this must be one of your trickier hides. I have now found 63 of your caches!

Nice cache! I had to search for a while because I thought about another possible hiding place when I read about a dark spot... But after a few minutes I could log. Thanks for the nice idea & for the cache!
31/10/12 12:56 PM. Cache #201. Current streak: 52 days. Satan strikes again. Couldn't resist doing this one, in its spooky daytime dark state, on Halloween now, could I? Easily reachable, and I'm no giant. TFTC.
In the end my torch came in handy here, that and reading the description and hint closely. Thanks mintmesocks....
Did at might as suggested. Had to think for a while but eventually worked it out. Felt very conspicuous in here but managed to retrieve and replace without incident. Thanks.
Took a bit longer than it should have. I had looked in that area but wasnt willing to put my hand in there to check it wasnt till i went past it again with a torch that i saw it. Cleaver spot.

Found on our trek around the area. Wouldn't want to do this one at dark. TFTC
On our way home and since we had a torch thought we would try for this. Torch went flat and had no luck.
Found last night after a lovely meal at Emma's (nearby restaurant). Nice hide, TFTC, cheers, aussieangel
Was in Camperdown for a couple of days visiting family. Borrowed my brother inlaws bike and thought a keep ride and a few caches was in order. Dropped by here and used a torch but no cache. Ill have to come back another time.
Found with my boy Zalgar.
Sorry, Im so far behind with my logs Ive decided to cut'n'paste to catch up!

Had dinner for a friends birthday on King St and missed Forgotten Aussies #3 which we had calculated to be nearby but fell back here after the DNF. Would have been about 10:30pm and only a bike or two using the tunnel. It was well lit and after few minutes we spied the cache. Either Im taller than I think or it is not that high Even Zhaoy could have got it at a stretch and she is little It was in plain view too so we replaced it just out of sight.

I have been past here at night before and there was no way I was even getting out of the car to make the approach to the tunnel on my own. Chose today to try the spooky day version which I felt more comfortable doing. Used the torch app on my phone, checked the hint and made the find (after finding a syringe jammed up into one of the light fixtures!). Needed to use my pen to extend my reach which made for an interesting replacement of the cache (tried to use the three year old on my shoulders but he was not up to the challenge) but managed in the end. Thanks again RMS. First of three of yours today.
This one has been bugging me for a while. I've been through the tunnel several times since finding out there was a cache hidden here. No luck on several occasions. This was slowly becoming my closest cache but I can strike that off the list. I took the time to look for it properly with an accomplice. It was way easier pretending to admire the graffiti under torch light when there is some one else with ya. The hint and my phone flashlight made it possible to find it in the daytime. Thanks for the cache.
GZ gave me the heebeegeebs, lucky deego_o and his trusty torch helped with find and soothed the vibes. Good one RMS!
Arrived at dusk just as lights came on. Strong smell of paint from new graffiti. Fairly quickly located, tftc
didn't search for long, it was already dark so lights were on, only place we thought the cache could be there were needles, got scared off after that. might come back another time if i have clear instructions where to look and i dont need to rush off to dinner and the light show. i dont want to be poking me fingers where there could be needles...
Spooky, yes, but today also dry! Creepy seeing a hypodermic needle stuck in the conduit along the roof of the tunnel. Probably more creepy to passing muggles was seeing people with torches examining nooks and crannies. Mrs G spotted it and Mr G retrieved it. Looks like the artwork at the tunnel end changes regularly. SL T Minka Tahden TB LN TFTC Cheers... Gaztek

After finding Forgotten Australian #3 I was on a roll so drove and parked close to this GZ. Walked over and realised where it was.....ooooo...spooky, even during the day. So I raced back and grabbed my torch to check some places and soon found the cache. Was able to reach it and SL, replaced again. Cool dark spot here, thanx again rms, TFTC

Some great street art around this area. Visited with the Wanstead Wanderers. Took a while to find the cache, but I enjoyed the hunt as much as the graffiti. TFTC.
Nice cache, though found a used needle when looking for the cache which i chucked away. TFTC!
What an excellent location. Fantastic street art in this area. Used to be a place I frequented many years ago but had almost forgotten.
Found with Wanstead Wanderer's.

Spooky during the day? It is okay but you should be there when a train passes by over your head, quite nice acoustic !
I imagined it was dark inside with the lights on and spotted a few places that would not be illuminated.
Did not find it in the first place, moved on to the second and there it was waiting for me!
Thank you for the cache, rinsemesocks.

We tried this by day and we tried this by night. The graffiti looks a lot better after dark and it was worth the re-visit just to see it. Even a height-compensating-device we bought along (prompted by some previous logs) that helped us to get up higher to look near to the top of the tunnel didn't help us find the elusive container.
Colorful artwork! Almost couldn't reach it. Had to jump for it with a pen in hand. And then when I tried to replace it, try as I did, I could not put it back. So it is in the same area but just about 2ft.away, but still well hidden. I will write the CO.
we didnt have much trouble finding it even though we went in the day light. we did have a phone torch though...
Lots of people traffic hindered the search the first few times, but finally got it :0)
