Heading to the start of the Recycle trail and as this one was on the way, it would've been rude not to stop for it. Nice quick find after a large group of walkers had passed by. Log was wet and was unusable, replaced with write-in-the-rain paper. Unique cache container. TFTC

Couldn't find it, was dark when I was looking, less people around though, may have to try again during daylight.
Quick find once we paid attention to the clue. Well designed hide! Log was very wet so dried it as best I could in the car using air vents. Might want to check on it. TFTC
This was not quite what I was expecting and it wasn't in the first place I looked. Very clever camo, fitted in with its surroundings quite nicely. TFTC, Biggles.
clever hide - stood on it by mistake before I realised & almost CITO'd it! - but really quick find and return with a hide in the car to do the paperwork and keep the muggles unaware. TFTC
We had not seen a hide quite like this before, but it did not take too long to spot.
This was one of those caches where we went ' it couldn't be there could it?'. Fun hide and the weather was just right for searching-windy enough to keep muggles indoors but not strong enough to blow us away! Tftc
Spent a bit of time looking at various objects that fit the clue, then spotted it staring at me. I had assumed the tiny tube would be bigger than it turned out to be - another clever hide. TFTC
A nifty find after figuring out the right angle to search from. Intriguing container.
Neat hide when you consider things from the right angle - fortunately had a pin in the car so able to extract and return log. Really liked the Hide! TFTC
Found on the way home after tramping in the Orongorongos. Safety pin worked just as well as tweezers!
Tricky one! Our second geocache! Signed the log as R3 but then found we had to register to the website as rfh3. Sorry for any confusion.
Fierce northerly threatened to blow us into the harbour. Looked about for "Oyhr evtug natyrf", and eventually spotted something interesting. First cache container of this type - TFTC.
Nice find, lolled at the camo. Might have to start bringing tweezers on these expeditions...
Thanks to CaligulaNZ , there is now some paper suitable for logging in the meantime.
We found the cache after a bit of a hunt, but there did not appear to be a log book in it...at least, we were looking by torchlight after dark and couldn't see anything in the cache with the torches. We also had needle-nose tweezers with which we should have been able to extract a log book. Will try and revisit soon in the daylight, but unless it was squished right into the base, the cache did seem to be empty.
Not so Totally Oarsome 4 the Orsome4some. (Sorry - couldn't resist!)

Thanks to CaligulaNZ for sorting the logbook and Troodles for placing the cache in the first place. We now claim this one as another one found. Sharp-eyed Miss Orsome4some worked the magic on this one.
Nice & easy find. Spotted within seconds, but had to wait for a change of traffic lights to effect the grab.
TFTC!

I knew exactly where to come to for this cache after finding waypoints for another one along the foreshore a couple of years ago that was missing by the time I had collected all the numbers. Good hide. I had great plans of finding a few caches along here after work tonight but my meeting went longer than expected so this was the last unfortunately. TFTC #3373
Hello Troodles.
I found your geocache today so I don't understand why it is disabled. It is where the hint says it is.

Well, that's embarrassing - the cache was there all along.
In my defence, I'll add that the piece of driftwood that hid the other casing has fled the scene, and the cache is now a few metres from its original placement. I will leave it there as it seems quite at home in its new spot.
Thanks to jigsawnl for the info.

Lots of locals enjoying the fading daylight. Nice waterfront development and discreet cache hide TFTC
Wanted to show my son's girlfriend what a cache looked like, but was unable to find it. May have to rethink this one.
Agree Totally Oarsome. First visit couldnt find (partially looking in wrong place). 2nd visit found cache but couldnt get the log out as too tight and had cornflakes box tweezers. Third visit had better tweezers but the log came out easily thanks to a previous cacher. Had to muck around to put it back as muggles parked nearby but back now. Another favourite. TFTC.
This spot is really oarsome.Nice quick find its a pitty about the weather today but we can't have it all.Lucky our baggage was in the car and Mrs L had some tweezers with us.A quick sign in the car and back to its home in a jiffy.Tftc
Petone caches = muggles!! Another quick spot of the cache but patience required before a subtle grab by bubble.

Last one for the evening with Roaming Kiwi, was good to get this one knocked off the "to do list" very nice hide. TFTC
Found with Virtual Allie, have a feeling a muggle may have moved this by mistake? Not quite where expected. Cool hide. TFTC
What a great hide. I thought it must be new. It looks so vulnerable to muggling but it has lasted. Oarsome hide indeed. TFTC
Parked the campervan for the night and went for a bike ride through Petone.
Hmm....this one fooled me the first time. On my way couldn't find this one...was under the impression that two mugglers were sitting on it. So went on. Than on my way back went for another look. It seems that I was looking at the wrong spot...When I looked, couldn't believe that this was the cache. (I had almost thrown it into the rubbish hahahaha)

The cache had changed since we first found it. Disovered the new cache quite by accident.
Found this previously, but couldn't log it. Now had the proper equipment to do so. Awesome! TFTC!
So totally awesome cache. SL TFTC

Found on a beautiful "oarsome" evening of perfect sunset and NO wind. Log book is nearly finished. TFTC.
emjoyed this one. windy today. a kayaker out impressed me. one or two out for a walk
Parked up next to this with an ice cream after walking in Belmont Regional Park, SL TFTC
Out and about on a sunny Sunday afternoon. Cool breeze finding its way up the harbour but easy to imagine the soon to be warmer summer.
Straightforward find on this one. All in order. Signed the log and replaced safely, just as found.
TFTC found with team cacher Sweet P too
The Turtle strikes again!

Was saving this one for a special day and today was that day - a dot day. TFTC, nice hide. Come past this spot several times a week.
Quick find - enjoyed the camo. Had to wait for some muggles to move away before we could replace. TFTC
A well themed cache for our visit to Wellington, a meeting of the rowing federation! Removing the logsheet was probably the most difficult task for this cache. TFTC
TFTC; I hadn't seen one like this before. Despite having a good pair of tweezers and a steady hand, I had a great deal of trouble extracting the logsheets. I don't think there is really enough room for two sheets so I halved the size of the one that I partially mangled anyway.

Having only recently discovered that we both knew the CO from .... years ago, we left this one for our 2400 find. Nicely hidden - the only problem we had was returning the log. A familiar name had signed just before us - more Nelsonians visiting the area. Thanks
Quick find with little blue hen. Nice cache but no log in the tube so made a temporary roll up and signed us in.New log required. TFTCSL
Kept watch while bkj97 replaced a temporary log. Nice views and a great day for caching. T4TCSL
Busy location but a stealthy recovery took care of this one.

I had just about given up on this one when I spotted something, yes it was the cache TFTC Troodles
Last cache of the day. Was wondering if it was still there, and only took a few seconds to find, but great idea.. Thanks for the cache..
Stuck my hand down and found 2 items within reach, neither was it. So snuck a peek and had it in hand. TFTC
Ready to go again. Cache is now a tiny tube which can be opened without removing it from its outer casing. Please bring tweezers to remove logbook.
hi my kids and friends enjoyed this as our first find. many thanks. we are on our way to find more, watch out welly!
