After an epic kayaking day yesterday, it was nice to take things a bit slower today driving around finding caches of interest on the way home with Lee737 and Samuel 737, took a bit of searching to make the find here but then it got interesting, a lady walking her dog got quite frightened of us, truly not sure why , she actually started running away from us . thanks for the cache Purplepeopleater tnln replaced as found sl
#8378After an epic day out yesterday paddling the Colo River were heading home across Sydney, stopping for interesting caches as we go. We were with Mighty Minions, chasing reasonable D:T's and trigs amongst other cache criteria, and detoured our way from Colo to Box Hill and then home through Galston and the gorge - very interesting towing a trailer! A great day out in great weather for 23 finds including a trio of trigs - and no DNFs!This took a bit to spot, Samuel went wide and directed us in I think we scared a muggle, she saw us at GZ, clearly was quite suspicious of us, to the point of looking quite scared - she even picked her dog up before she walked past, and kept looking back at us.... TFTC!
#8377OCW Mighty MinionsAfter yesterdays massive day around the Colo river, with about 55 kayak caches, today were just cruising through North-Western Sydney, grabbing a bunch of good DTs and types.Another beautiful day and a bunch of great caches! end of copy paste A quick find here- but that wasn't the interesting part at all! (all in good condition, TNLN SL)After the cache was grabbed, I sat back on the rock nearby to get a log in and a lady with her dog walked up to the bridge. Upon seeing us, she stopped in her tracks and picked up the little barky dog she was walking. We were just waiting for her to pass, and after a few moments of standing, she started running along the bridge (very slowly I might add). About half way along, she managed to drop the dog, which started barking, and then continued running while dragging the dog pretty much, then she dropped her phone and headphones on the pavement a bit further up, while continuously turning around and looking at us, she continued her walk on, well, ran until she was out of sight from us (Do we really look like we're going to kidnap you??!)Anyways, replaced the cache and crazy dog lady moved on...Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache Purplepeopleater
Its a pity the bridge was replaced. The old ones have so much more character. STL TFTC
Wasted an hour of my life trying to find it on the bridge, gonna jump off it now DFI
Out with KKZ 69 and Aaronw0813 and the Geodog. After figuring out which side it was we found it fairly quick.
Find #: 3,624Companions: NoneMuggles: A few walkers / cyclistsWeather: Cold winter morningCache condition: GoodI parked nearby and headed down to the bridge. A cyclist passing by asked if I was looking for a dog (well, No, but ... actually, just stick with No), but once I had a gap in the traffic I was able to get to a position where I could see the container - aha. TNLNSL TFTC
With my sworn-to-secrecy muggle, a cute geofind. They were more appreciative of visiting new areas that they didnt explore before. Signed log and returned the hide back where it was discovered. TFTC Purplepeopleater
Thanks! Would have been here a while if it wasn't for the excellent clues!
Pretty hard find for me, even with hints. Had a hunch of where it was the whole time but never committed to looking there. Took me sitting down and taking my time.

We are on another short (three day) caching holiday in North Western Sydney, staying for two nights in a park cabin at the Ingenia Holidays Avina BIG4 Holiday Park at Vineyard. Hoping to collect some previously solved Mystery/Puzzle caches, complete some Adventure Labs, and accumulate enough cache finds for this month’s "Wheel of Challenges" easy & hard souvenir chase. Photos will be uploaded to some (most) logs on our return to home base.
Today (day 3) we were heading homeward, going via Galston Gorge, but stopped off for some caches along the way. Collected some Traditional caches and a few previously solved Mystery/Puzzle caches, and had another (unsuccessful) go at a longish Mystery/Multi cache in Fagan Park at Galston. This was the 4th of 8 finds for the day (day 3), and 55th find of the holiday.
This one was next, parking the geomobile on James Mileham Drive, then walking down the path to the bridge and GZ. Checked all the obvious spots to no avail, then changed our perspective and soon spotted the hide and had CIH. TNLNSL, and then replaced as found. Pity the original bridge is gone, as it sounds like it was an interesting old structure. TFTC Purplepeopleater.

DNF avenged. Came here a long time ago for no luck. Today I returned for the final day of my cache streak for this month! I’m probably going to keep it going for who knows how long. The hint made this a quick find, and without it, it would’ve been very difficult. TFTC, photolog as I lost my pen on the trail the other day.
Hmmm IDK if we could not find it, or it wasnt there. Out with Jay and Cajwil and we had a Good look, but it was late, dark and a drizzel of rain... might have to come comw back have a look another time
TFTC but a DNF

A bit of a detour on the way to Bunnings.. This time an easy find. I have no idea why I struggled on two previous occasions, ending up empty handed.

This was our first cache find under our new caching name: TheBennos.
This cache was made much harder by the GeoWife being at home and 4 GeoKids in tow.
After going high and low, the cache was located however, it was covered in spiders.
We tried using a tool but, it then fell into the water below.
GeoDad went down and retrieved it and it was still okay, though a little wet.
Thank you for the cache.

This was the third of four finds for the day. After finding “Arnold Ave Reserve”, I again readjusted the search filters to narrow down my list of caches with Wonders of the World that I was still yet to collect. This cache popped up on the list and given it was not too far away, I decided to make this the next target. I had previously attempted this cache several years ago but was unsuccessful so I was apprehensive about this attempt. I knew which side to search but was having difficulty trying to establish a fix on a location. After walking up and down several times, and taking note of the terrain rating, I decided a different search approach and finally felt something that moved – the cache. SL. TFTC.

This has always been a somewhat tough find, and I usually ignore DNFs. Indeed the last time there was a spate of DNF's, I checked and found the cache was right where it was supposed to be.
After a couple of recent DNF's from experienced cachers I rode past tonight for another check. This time it had gone, so equipped with a new container I effected a replacement.
Please check the hint it is still as relevant now as when the old bridge was there.

OCW marg+1 around Kellyville, Bella Vista, and King's Langley today.
We found trads and multis and had some dnf's but best of all we had a great day out and I would like to thank the various CO's for providing the caches. No luck here today for us.

This hasn’t been found since 2018 and I messaged in March 2019 and it still hasn’t been addressed.
A quick find after running an errand in Glenhaven. I took a stroll from the car to the bridge and headed for more or less the area as indicated in the clue. I immediately spotted something sticking out from what should have been a smooth surface. Yep, it was the container that hadn't been placed back neatly so about a quarter of it was protruding.
A bit of a challenge followed as I tried to get the log sheet out of the container. It really helps if one folds the paper neatly rather than just crams it into the container. I guess it's a bit of a learning curve for cachers who have not yet handled very many caches, or perhaps it's just a bit of a brain outage from the euphoria from finding a hide?
Anyway, I succeeded in getting out the log sheet without tearing it to pieces. After adding my name I folded it neatly and placed it into the container with the mountain fold facing up (towards the lid) so that it's easy for the next finder to extract. The container was returned to its hiding place, well back, so that it isn't directly visible to muggles.
When I have a bit more time I'd like to check out the area a bit more. It would be nice to find that pedestrian suspension bridge, but I think my imagination is getting carried away with images of deep and wide gorges in the jungle with a rickety rope and stick suspension bridge à la Indiana Jones (or should that be "au" instead of "à la" for the correct gender use?).

A quick, easy find on International Geocaching Day. The boys enjoyed a play in the nearby park afterwards. TFTC

With the rain having stopped, I decided to try this cache. I parked just up the road from where the cycleway starts and walked back. One thing I noticed was that the bridge looked nothing like that in the photos from other people’s logs. The bridge before me was much newer and a different colour. I decided to employ the hint and checked certain parts of the bridge which would hold a certain size cache but nothing appeared. I don’t know when the bridge was replaced so I’m not sure if the cache is still there and I couldn’t find it or if the cache has disappeared. Here is a link to the company employed to build the new bridge. http://escapetoyourparkland.com.au/projects/

Just to make sure I had this D/T combo sorted, we came here from OGB1. Had a good idea what we were looking for but still took a moment to find. Nice that this cache could live on even though the original bridge has been replaced.

A straightforward find here while passing by on my way to Windsor this afternoon, thanks to the hints ... which are just as applicable to the hide location on this brand new bridge as I'm sure they were to the hide on the old Bailey bridge. Thanks for placing a cache here Purplepeopleater, and for the smiley.
Found this cache by accident during demolition of the old bridge in June 2016. The Old bailey bridge is now gone and a new pedestrian bridge has taken its place, however the cache survives! Put back in a location on the new bridge that roughly corresponds to where it was on the old bridge, and so that the hidden clue still makes sense. Good luck as the cache has quite good camouflage!
Looks like they are pulling this bridge apart, there is no access across the creek at the moment.
Found it after checking peoples clues - Thanks!. Took some time but was a fun find .
Out with Team Merlin in order to find our daily cache to keep our streak going.
With coorinates in hand we set our sites for the cache OKB1. As we came back to this location to try our luck. Locating GZ quickly we started another search for this cache. With a different perspective we thought we may have better view. Unlike preiously we discovered the cache container quickly. With the cache in hand we both signed the log, before replacing as found. The cache container and log are in good condition.

Out with JJCC for an early morning cache run in order to find our daily cache to keep our streak going.
This was our second visit to this cache in as many weeks - due to amount of possible hide locations and time constraints we were unsuccessful on our first attempt. Knowing roughly what we were looking for we approached this morning from James Mileham Drive and started the search. This time we climbed into the girder for a different perspective and after five minutes of looking from this angle we noticed the cache container. With the cache safely in hand we both signed the log, before replacing as found. The cache container and log are in good condition.

Eight TBs visited - Bob geoMinion, Dave geoMinion, Evil geoMinion, Jerry geoMinion, Larry geoMinion, Purple, Stuart geoMinion, Vanlith The Youngling.

NO WAY!! That cannot have been hidden so easily the previous 3 or 4 times I was here! How did I miss that? obviously making things way too difficult for myself. Walked straight to it today. Glad to be able to take it off my DNF list. TFTC
What a lovely sunny warm day out with FootyFanatics. Second find the day. Nice easy find (this time) and we were on our way. TFTC.
Found it on a glorious winters day while out and about with evangt. We had been here before with no luck, but today evangt spotted it within a couple of minutes. TFTC
THIS WILL NOT BEAT ME!!
but I still couldn't find it! Bet I'm going to be kicking myself when I do.

25/07/15. 3:37 PM. Cache #2718. Streak day #398.
1st of 8 caches this afternoon.
I started off at "Hutchison Hide", but couldn't find that one, so called a friend. They were going to look up some info, so while I waited I came here to this one. I started on the flat of the bridge, and then thought I might climb along the side to get a better view. When that didn't work, I started at the beginning again. I realised I had probably been overcomplicating things, seeing as the terrain rating was only 1 so should be able to be grabbed by a cacher in a wheelchair.
With that different thinking in mind, I soon found the cache in a likely spot. Signed log and replaced it. My PAF then got back to me with useful help for "Hutchison Hide", so I returned there. TFTC.
