I visited this cache tonight to confirm the previous reports.

The old rusty car has gone-ski and so has the ammo can that was hidden under it.

I hope you enjoyed it while it lasted. My guess is the car was dumped there over ten years ago before the "Crestwood Heights" development was started.

Cheers!!

Sorry Radnoski but your beloved Toyota Crown has gone to greener pastures. I mite be wrong but I think we need another cache box.

17-Apr-13
Well i'v been meaning to stop in at this area for awhile now. Me thinks I should have come earlier. After finding the eclipse tin at the wall I headed for Radnoski's 1971 Toyota Crown. I followed the path around to a dirt track that headed up a steep embankment. I stood there on top for awhile looking in the general direction hoping to spot the old tin can. But I couldn't see her so I headed down. The grass is really long maybe thats why I couldn't see it. I'm pretty close now and still can't see it. Ahh Thats why I can't. I think the council may have done some CITO of there own or should I say COTO. Because the only part of the Crown thats left is the oil filter. I'm guessing the cache was inside. I looked around the area hoping it may have fallen or been thrown out but nothing. What a shame. Anyone got a Holden Camira they don't want, we need camo.

Had a few hours to kill and I could think of nothing better than getting a few more smilies on the board in my favourite game.

I headed straight from my chosen parking spot towards GZ and encountered a steep hill and then to my dismay a steep descent metres further on, but there was a cache to be had so I gingerly worked my way odwn the hill.

GZ was in perfect view from the top of the hill so I knew where I was ending up.

It seemed more like a Drive In and leave.

The treasure was quickly found and all inside was dry.

Thanks Radnoski TFTC SL TSLS

Heading back I was glad to see that there was a better way out to the next cache.

# 568 This weekend is my last in Brisbane. Over the past 6 weeks on the drive down and while living in the Gold Coast Hinterland, I have almost doubled my total cache finds, captured my first Letterboxes and 5/5 cache, tripled the number of Earth Caches and events I have attended, and managed 68 caches in a day.

Up early this morning to trade the much loved Cache Racer in on a brand spanking new Cache Ranger. Took a lot less time than expected, and wanted to go for a drive, so made a small detour on the way home.

A quick park and grab, and despite the car theme on many of these caches around here, decided to go by foot from now on.

I decided to check on this one after a recent log entry.

All good with the cache and back in it's hiding spot.

It looks like a muggle accidentally found it in Sept 2011. I will attach a photo of their log entry.

Cheers.

Thought I might revisit this one & it's a good thing I did because it had been muggled. Everything intact though, tried to jam it back in its hyde seems the Hyde has had a bit of hard time cos I couldn't get it back into its usual spot, but did the best I could. TFTC rad.

We like to do things the other way around so we did #2 first and now this not a "Drive-by". Easy walk from a nearby cache, a steep hill and there it was! Another oldtimer from radnoski's collection. No problem finding this one! TFTC radnoski.

07-Apr-12
After my DNF on the rocks I took the wander up over the hill to find a drive by.

A bit of a slide on the hill but I managed to stay on my feet.

A bit of squishing over the puddles and I soon arrived for the search.

Soon located the well hidden cache. I took the diabetes TB (glad to see a few of these are still in circulation) and dropped in Todd Flanders to continue his quest.

Found on a very humid morning run. Swapped TB's Nice Cache!
Thanks for this one radnoski!

Found by Sunshine Toledo and Jinga2 at 2:22pm. This cache is not a drive-by but is an easy walk in. The cache was found quickly. In: TB. TFTC

We may of had a few failed attempts at accessing this one but eventually we and Captain Terror were on the correct path and were making our way to GZ Smile

After navigating down some decent slopes we arrived at GZ were we had moment of were is the cache about all three of us when someone then said could it be that ammo box sitting there well guess what it was Smile On that note were realised it was almost time to call it a day.

Gaz'n'Kab

11-Mar-12
Somehow today Gaz'n'Kab and I found the most difficult route in to this one. We ended up going in from behind a bunch of industrial buildings and past a few piles of dumped rubbish. All the same we soon ended up following a dirt track and got to concrete, just before heading down another dirt track. Up over a hill, which Kab made a career out of, and down to the cache. GZ was another obvious Radnoski spot and while whacking a stick around to ward of any snakes I spotted the container. Extracted it and took it back to the path to sign the log. Replaced and off the same track to get back to the car. another nice spot, is it your life mission to find as many dead cars as possible though? TFTC Radnoski Smile

I'm just slowly making my way south for a week-end out on the bike. The second day on the bike for me down the coast. Smile

But wait!!!! there is one more class in the Radnoski crash course in caching. Smile Or maybe I skipped this class and went onto the other classes first. [?]

Either way I'd better do the class just to get the grades up a bit.

I grabbed the Hagrid TB as well.

Hit hard by depression these last few days I needed some entertainment. And what better to do the trick than some radnoski caches. I even read the instructions for this one before setting out so knew to park on Olsen Ave. Rain stopped for me to track through the bush and come upon the vintage vehicle. Love these caches Wrecknoski. I collected a coin (which has a brain as its icon!) and left my new TB "Hagrid" to wander through dark caching woods. Makes it 870 finds for me.

22-Jan-12
Took me a while to find a good place to park and made the short walk into the cache. I love these "US Regular" containers. They are perfect for Geocaching.
I think I left a coin here which I've electronically place in another cache. Will check the paperwork.

Having parked further along Olsen Avenue for the other nearby caches, I decided to continue walking on to try this one too. A pleasant walk it was, and at the end a nice large container. Thanks radnoski for the cache.

02-Jan-12
After fruitlessly beating the grass for several minutes, I re-read the description. Big metal container... Ah!

01-Jan-12
I don’t think I parked illegally Surprised. It seemed okay as there were no signs otherwise. Anyhow, I had a pleasant stroll to GZ. Found the nice big cache after a short search. Not a lot of options for a regular, as you said. TN/LN/SL and decided not to have a look for your multi Twisted. I was on a numbers run and thought it sounded a bit involved.

This one is nice for bikes. TFTC

Last cache for the day and a nice but a bit of a steep walk looked to be in order until we headed off in a different direction another devilishly cleaver hide and a beautiful area TFTC

07-Aug-11
Not a drive by..... well certainly not for Ms Wigs car!! we had difficulty getting there on foot and even then Ms Wig thought she might have a little tumble... but fortunatly, all was good.

At GZ, I recognised the object immediatly as it was one that had been in my family for a while. We then set about searching every little nook and cranny, then reread the cache page.... oh, that's embarrasing, it's a regular size.... cache soon found!

Thanks Radnoski.

Hmm. Radnoski once again making use of the bushland behind Crestwood. I made it within 500m but then I hit The Swamp. The muddy path has been cleared by grader this week I am told. I'll still have to find some wellies for the last stretch unless I attack from Olsen Ave. I had two new trackables, plus all the goodies I found overseas, just can't find big enough caches to put them in!

07-May-11
Had a fair idea of what to expect to find at gz, sure enough we were correct. GPSr was going round in circles, so ignored that and had the cache in hand quickly. The recent few dry days have dried up most of the water.
Great cache Radnoski Smile

02-May-11
Fooled by the coord scandal again! Once we sorted that out, we headed off to GZ without incident and examined GZ. The boys did the car talk thing before spotting the cache. Thanks Radnoski

02-May-11
Now I knew Radnoski had created this cache.. but I did not know what GZ was. Haha - it made all the better. That certainly is an honest terrain approach to GZ Razz The cache was in good condition. I left a trackable in the cache. TFTC Radnoski Smile

30-Apr-11
Stopped off on the way home from Anaconda. Squelched to GZ, fortunately we both had our crocs on!
Mr. Herbz had to catch Mrs. Herbz as she gathered momentum down the steep bit just before GZ. Disaster was narrowly avoided. This definitely isn't a drive by it's been a long time since that happened we think. Cache soon found, we took Frankie the camel TB. TFTC Radnoski.

Bit of a challenging trek in with all the rain yesterday. Had to leave GF behind when it started getting a bit slippery. After maybe 15 minute search found the container. Took the "I love Geocaching" pin for GF for being left behind. The only thing I had to leave was my "Arundel Hills Country Club" pen.

This afternoon I just remembered to check to see who got FTF on this cache. I was amazed to find that no log was yet recorded. That doesn't always mean someone's had time to get to their computer though. However, thought I would take a chance. Rain, sun, rain, sun, rain. I guess it wasn't going to settle down. Off I went. Had a lovely walk in until I had to leave the path. Oh, no, here's the rain again. Good thing I brought the brolly. There sure is a lot of water flowing through here!! Search here, search there, nope not there. Back to check again. Aha! There it is! Now, has the log book been written in? Woo hoo! Big Grin FTF Big Grin at 3:15pm. Thanks for a great new cache Radnoski! A little different from some of your others. I like it! Brought some trackables out for the walk. Nice to see some Aussie bush.
Took: dvd coz I think my granddaughter will like it

Sorry guys. A bit of a typo with the co-ords.

I didn't mean to send you on a wild goose hunt on the other side of Smith Street.

I have requested and update of the co-ords via the reviewer.

Oh no! What time did this come out? I've been sitting home watching the rain and fell asleep. Now it's completely dark and I can't go out and get this one. *&^%#@?! (rude word).

I am dropping in "Frankie the Camel" to this new cache.

He is a big fellow so needs to find a big cache container to stay in.
