Buzz, buzz, buzz. A chance of a cooler day for an out and back on Bumblebee before the rain. This time I found it. I had read back through lots of previous logs and despite one mentioning by a stump, it wasn't. Still matches the hint though.
Heading home and we decided to have another look for this one. We drive past so often but the only time we stopped we didn't get much of a chance to look as the skies opened and poured water on us so we gave up. Today that wasn't going to happen and all was quiet so we had a chance to stop and make the find. Took a wee bit of searching but was eventually found. tftc

Called in to see a lady I used to work for many years ago. Found cache ok but I poked my arm so it's bleeding! TFTC
Took a chance of the fine weather today, and last day before back in the office tomorrow, to buzz out this way on Bumblebee. No luck here despite searching all trees up an down the fence line.
found with kjj162. after finding myself in a tree wrapped in rose bush attacking me we took another approach and found pretty easy tftc
The ran almost got the better of me, but I managed to find the cx just before I gave up. TFTC.
We usually travel via Lake Rotoiti when heading to Marlborough, but as he only had to go to Rai Valley this road was on the way home. Travelling all that way at the lower speed felt so much longer than what it use to be. He had sussed out a few caches to find today, some of them a slightly higher T rating than some of the park and grab type caches.
On his way home gk stopped here and went for a look. Something that reminded us of this CO was soon spotted and the cache was soon exposed.
There was a handy spot to sign the log and then it was returned as he found it.
He noticed there are too many young people resting here as he wandered around enjoying the sunshine, although it was windy it was a very pleasant spring day. Totally different to what it was when he got home to the pouring rain.
Thanks for placing this cache and thank you for the smiley

Scenic spot for a cemetery, also lovingly cared for. Fast find, second person today! TFTC
Always a fan of cemeteries so it was a grand excuse to stop and have a look around. A few fresh graves were about so we were extra carefully making our way to the boundary. T4tc
Thanks for this cache, b&w. I had been here before and DNF'd this one - but noticed that it had been found recently.
After a weekend of serious rain and road closures, it is good to have some patches of blue sky. It was good to stretch my legs here & get out of the stream of traffic.

A solo trip over the hill today for an evening meeting in Blenheim enabled me to stop at a few of these little pull over spots with out the rest of the family saying no. Nice quick find and sign. Thanks for the cache.
On a caching holiday around part of the Marlborough sounds and this is my first cache on the way in! Wonderful cemetery; they’ve really put a lot of love into it over the years. TFTC!
I had a lovely wander here on my way to collecting the Chichen Itza stamp for the current promotion. No one else was in sight and the weather was sunny so I took my time and read some statistics about the local former residents.
Thank you for the cache (and thank you to the previous finder).

I had logged this as a DNF but as I was walking away I noticed a film cartridge lying in the open. Could this be the cache? It has to be, right? Yep it was and full of water which had turned the older paper log into mush but some good person had left a 'write in the rain' log a few years back so I left my name on that one I chucked the mushed log into my rubbish bag. Almost 2.5 years since it's last find I hid it close to where I found it - against a stump under a rock.
Driving from Nelson to Christchurch via Marlborough (there's a cache there I need to finish the E173 Challenge ! ).
Unfortunately I think this one has gone. C.O. emailed.

Had an unsuccessful scratch amongst the bushes...nothing to be seen where we looked.
Couldn't find this one on a previous visit a couple of years ago. Soon found this morning. It hasn't been found for quite a while and is now protected by blackberry and holly. Thanks b&w.
13:01 why do people leave the things they do by the gravestones? Good to see that people are remembered
Lots of shiny headstones here, many with familiar local names too. But there was only one that drew my attention today and that was only because it was close to the GZ.
A mixed bag for me today so far and I did not think things were going to get much better here, but after a finger-tip search I eventually exhumed the container.
Time to head back towards home now...
Thanks

#3441. I was over on a work trip and had a meeting at Havelock this morning. On the drive back to Nelson I had time to stop for a few caches before I needed to catch my flight back to Wellington at 5pm. The weather today was stunning - very hot and sunny. Luckily all the caches found were fairly straightforward finds. Nice change from the tricky urban caches in Nelson yesterday. This one took a few minutes to locate. Mainly because there was a cow in the cemetery and it was trying to get back over the fence. Had to keep half an eye on it. Signed the logbook and replaced as found. Thanks for hiding it here.
Helping my neighbours get to Nelson Airport. After loading caches around Nelson Airport the weather was shit so headed home. Weather better this side of the divide so stopped of here for a rest and a find. cheers.
Over the hill in Nelson doing a spot of shopping... and then a bit of caching to end the day.
Heading home - and this was a DNF for me last visit. Don't quite know what I was looking for then?? As it was a QEF this time. All in good order tucked away nicely.

Nice quick find thanks to the accurate hint. Log a little damp so just signed initials Z4EB. Tftc
Found with NZDi. Due to other family commitments, geocaching has been placed on the back burner for over a month. Now those duties have been fulfilled, today was the start of our geocaching catch up. During the week I had been exploring a couple of options for todays effort and settled on either a trip up Mount Duppa or head into the Grampians behind Nelson. We have previously been up Mount Duppa, but that was in the years BC (Before Geocaching) and as with a lot of walks in the area, this is another trip that we are going to have to do again. However we had a little shopping to do in Nelson before-hand and as we came through the Collin's Valley, we saw low cloud rolling over the top of the hills. On cresting the top of Gentle Annie on the way into Nelson, we were greeted with a beautiful 'blue sky day' which settled our plan to cache the Grampians, Nelson 's version of the Wither Hills Farm Park that we have in Blenheim, a veritable mecca of caches.
However before we started, we had some unfinished business to do and came here to rectify a DNF on our last trip home from Nelson last Saturday. Last week, by the time we got here, the light was fading and the cemetary was in darkness. Unfortunately, the feeble light provided by the app on my mobile was insufficient to light up the cache. Today in thefull light of day, it was a different story and we had a QEF PnG.

Today was a day trip to Tennyson inlet with Jo where some friends had hired a bach for the weekend. Wanted to make the most of our time out there so only a couple of stops on the way out and a couple back as it got dark. But big vern has a gps, so got two in the sounds that would normally be out of reach.

On my way home from Nelson - so now on the right side of the road for this.
Found the gravestone and the hint object - then a rock covered in wasps and with a kick and a poke with a stick I still couldn't see a cache/container of any sort. Wandered a bit between trees and chatted to the nearby cows - then gave up.
Will try again another time.

I normally just plug away, letting the calendar do its own thing, so was rather surprised when I discovered that this was a long weekend, only 4 days ago. What to do? So up before dawn and off to see my dad in Nelson. Hope to get there before dinner time!
A quick stop in this little cemetery. Added an emerald. I noticed that the cemetery was missing of the maps so have added it. Want to update the maps on your GPS? Contact me and I'll show you how. Free.

[Purple] On our way home from Nelson. There were many 4 legged muggles over the fence, baby ones too! All staring at me! Glenis has a nice headstone. Found after a short search. I even looked up this time, as I have learnt to do, but not so necessary this time. Tftc.
I spent a few minutes here, getting my hands cut on hidden thorns.. didn't find anything. Are we looking high or low? What is a pitto anyway.. moved on.

Driving from Marahau we needed a break. Took a check of the GPSr after stopping and were soon logging this unplanned find. This was to happen several times today as we had far too many caches in the GPSr to stop for them all.

Another quick find but I'm sorry couldn't do maintenance for you as I didn't bring my stuff with me. It needs a new bag for the log. Also some cito would be good as I slipped and fell backwards onto some glass. Went away from this one thankful I didn't do much damage to self.
After a short search had cache in hand,, took the time to have a look around before heading off Thanx4tc

Was on our way from Nelson to Picton to catch the late Ferry back home to Wellington after spending a lovely night in Nelson and it was time to leave this lovely part of the west coast and make our way home to Wellington, this was our fourth DNF for the day.
Managed to find a carpark at the gate near GZ and then it was a short walk to GZ, Arriving at GZ and had a quick find searched around GZ after reading the hint and realised that there is a few hint objects at GZ and after a short search without any luck I decided to give this one up this time as we needed to make our way north.
Thanks for bringing us will have another look next time we are back in this area.

Appreciated the good off road parking near GZ, this was heaps available, which was surprising for such a small cemetery.
Took a wee bit of searching to find the cache as there were two hint items to chose from and some prickly stuff to contend with. After searching both, we returned to the one closest to our GZ and after a bit more poking and prodding, found the well hidden cache. TFTC.

#9187. A lot of country cemeteries we have visited while caching seem to be no longer in active use; good to find one that is still going string. TFTC.
A very sneaky hide this one. Nearly had me beat. I never knew Glenis but took time out to say "hi" anyway. Lovely peaceful spot. Thanks BW
Attempted on our way back from a fantastic week camping at Totranui. Unfortunately, the hint didn't mean much to me and there was no cell coverage ask Uncle Google for help. Spent a while looking without success. Nevermind, thanks anyway.
Found a GSAK page of unlogged finds from Feb 2014 this was one of them, sorry for the late log. I wonder how many caches I've found and forgotten to log over the years.... maybe a hundred, maybe more easier these days with logging from the field on my phone. TFTC
Took a bit to find. The clue was no help, I really need to learn the names of some plants and trees . Not the most peaceful cemetery i've been to with all that traffic but a nice one. TFTC

Today I left behind a zillion things I have to do and spent some quality time caching. Yeah. I agree with your sentiments.
On the way to Nelson with hopes of another dot-day, beating PB, busting past 1400
Didn't disturb the locals here

Found on way back from Kaikoura and overdue to collect this one after a couple of earlier cache disappearances. Enjoyed the walk around this lovely little country cemetery. TFTC
I'll bet that I've been to more cemeteries than most Kiwis have. Quick find. Thanks from this Canadian!
[green]Day 3 of our 5 day Easter caching roadtrip. Today we are heading from Blenheim to Nelson.[/green]
We woke the calves up with our approach and they came over to be nosy. Thanks for the cache

At first thought it looked like the gardeners had got this one. But a bit more effort and the cache was in hand.

This cache was found as part of my epic as move down south to Christchurch from Auckland - A drive that involved around 3,000km, 350 caches, 14 days, and a bit of a detour through East Cape, Gisbourne, Napier/Hastings, some back roads in the Wairarapa, Cape Pallisier and Nelson/Tasman as well as every CANZ cache along the way that I was still missing. (Hence my excuse for the not as interesting log as I usually try to make mine.) But thanks to every awesome amazing as cacher that placed caches along these roads, you made my trip awesome, and very cache happy!
Took ages and ages of searching! - Very well hidden in there! - Probably why it survived the prune...

After a trip to Nelson town the weather is not improving. We need to be in Picton this evening so have decided as there is not much else to do in clouds and drizzle to cache our way there.

Fairly sure I was looking in the right place but sadly it looks like there's been a whole lot of rubbish dumped here that may have taken the cache with it. Looked down bank to see if I could find it but nothing.
Easy find but couldn't find the cache as the log was too wet. Needs new log and a plastic bag.
Last cache before heading to nelson for a few more caches. Was the sound of frogs around Gz which is always cool to hear. Thanks heaps for the cache
