Hmmm. Well Mr Squalid is tall and despite climbing one of the trees couldn't find it there. The other tree had a bee hive in it and the bees didn't like him mucking around there so we gave up. Is the hide still there?
Very interesting information about the tornado. Unfortunately it was probably too high for us.
In the area for a caching weekend & to see the sites & to our surprise a Blues Festival was on too. What an awesome weekend spent with my beautiful partner & only a small number of caches & sites done in the end. TFTC
Bit disappointed that we could not find it. But we looked in both trees without any luck. Or maybe we were just not tall enough. Very interesting bit of information though about the tornado, and we did enjoy the bike ride to get here.
#1625 Before heading back to Melbourne after a family gettogether decided to pick up a few more caches. No probs with this one. Very interesting about the Tornado - I wasn't aware of that. Thanks milihage.

A quick easy find, especially as the container could be seen on approach.
Thanks for the story and photos of the event in Moama.
Mr Ozjeeper was in Darwin for Cyclone Tracy and then sat out a tornado in Boston, USA in 1988.

On a sunny day spent in the Echuca-Moama district with our Nissan Patrol 4WD with Mrs One-Eyed, took off along the Barmah Road with my Garmin Montana 650t which we overshot the GPS co ords so did a quick U turn but ended up on the narrow bitumen bike track on the other side if the road, lucky no one was around. Thank goodness for 4WD'S
Found the cache okay.

Found while visiting from Canberra. It was good to get one after a couple of misses at other caches. TFTC
Quick find of visible cache between passing cars. Took spinning top left sweat band. S.L TFTC milihage.
nice easy find! lots of holidaying muggles in cars but who wants to do bashing on holiday? not us
An interesting anecdote in the local history. Almost had to be as quick as..... to grab the cache and return it before the next vehicle came past. TFTC.
A nice quick driveby plus the had necessary height . Somehow I ended up driving on the bike path - naughty!!! TFTC
Had great fun watching those with ducks disease try and retrieve it. Moving the bug on to a new home. TFTC.
great story and a nice quick easy find. shortest person asked how we were going to reach it before remembering her husband is well over six foot tall!! TFTC.
Thanks to nature as vertically challenged and it helped. Replacing was even trickier.
Well we are some what vertically challenged, but luckily for micheena and I we did manage to retrieve the cache. SL TNLN TFTC
Got a couple of aims for today, so out and about early to try to achieve them. Going right past this one, so a quick dash across the busy road, SL at 8.37am and off again. #1698 Took: peg with heart Left: stamps TFTC milihage - our first for the morning. These mini tornados sure create amazing damage to trees and/or property and this one is no exception.
Not where my GPS took me to initially, but widened the search area and soon had the cache to hand.
Suscoe's 33rd and final find for today.
Well nature certainly can be harsh as this spot can attest and it can be calm as it was tonight.
Thanks to milihage for placing this cache here.
Took the opportunity to retrieve between travelers.
Time to head off for tea.

Having spent the weekend Steamfesting we decided on an early morning start after a coffee fuel up in Echuca. A couple of cache stops in NSW were in order before pointing the cars back towards Melbourne. TFTC
Having finished with Steamfest we escaped with Mrs Walenator to go do some caching around the local area. Thought a couple of caches in NSW were in order before heading for home. TFTC
ROAD TRIP Eighth cache of the day, very glad cache was not in the first tree hollow that we saw. Cache in good order - TFTC
A sales conference bought me up to the bustling metropolis known as Moama for three days. After enjoying the NSW Blues beat the Queenslanders in the State of Origin I retired reasonably early which enabled me to rise at the crack of dawn (earlier actually) to get in an hour of caching before needing to be back for breakfast at 8.
#3 for me today as I parked on the side of the road and made my way to GZ. I quickly located the cache and made the retrieval between passing cars. Log was signed and replaced before moving on.
Thanks for the cache milihage.

After a great day's caching yesterday and a few drinks to celebrate the day The Coffee's kindly invited us to join them in their vehicle again today rather than drive around in two.
The weather certainly did a turn round in 2010 with extreme drought to bucket loads of rain which filled catchment's and flooded other areas. We truly are a land of drought and flooding rain. We heard a lot about the floods and the plagues but can't remember hearing about the tornado. Once parked we headed off to gz and followed the GPSr needle for a nice quick find.

# 5956 Found with Fred6603 while in Echuca for the CVGT events.
We went for another run around after the lunch event to find a few more on the Moama side.
Not many muggles around today and a quick find here.
TN LN SL. Thanks for the cache milihage,

# 3222. Slowly making our way back to Merool on the Murray after the TTT this morning and the final this afternoon.
This is a pretty amazing photo on the cache page and it sure wreaked havoc on those trees. Cache was visible as we pulled up - hope we hid it a little better after signing the log. TFTC milihage.

Our Pre-Event caching day. The morning was spent on the Power Trail, and the afternoon around Moama with Bettyboo3747.
An interesting bit of history. Certainly made a mess of those trees.
We were just further east along the Murray a few weekends ago and saw the damage the most recent tornado had done.
Thanks, Robmc.

This was our 3rd cache find in the caching run & we found it at 10:16
So this now makes our total find count 6191.

We've arrived a little early for the CVGT, so today has been a great opportunity to clean up all the caches we haven't found before the new ones get published.
A really quick find today.
[/blue]
Coordinate Accuracy: Excellent (Under 2 metres)
Cache Condition: Container and log book are in good shape.
Took: Nothing.
Left: Carabiner.
Thanks milihage for the hunt today.

An easy find as the container could be seen as we approached GZ. Tried to replace more securely but not really very successful. Lots of people about on the roads and on the track today, makes you wonder where every one is going. TFTC
Didn't know about the Moama Tornado, so thanks for adding to my knowledge. This was my first cache in New South Wales and the only one in NSW for the day as we had been caching on our way home and still had a long way to travel. An easy find and relatively easy to retrieve and replace. TFTC
Found with Misschief18 and TilleyTB on our way home from Cohuna Matata. Our only NSW cache for this trip! TFTC
Quickest find for the day with lynnie7267 which was nice after spending so much time on caches on the other side of the river. TFTC
Quick find geo daughter & geo son inlaw had this in hand before I Even got out of the car tftc
Spent a day of caching in Echuca, this was one we found .
Echuca is an amazing place with the river & the paddle wheelers. Lots of history to be learnt here

A nice cache in which I swear something in the little hidey hole licked me! Grabbed the cache and then throw it and screamed! Then signed the log and made Jak return the cache, luckily no passing muggles today!
When we found the location of this hide, being short people called for help from jak who is slightly taller but by the time he got to us Tamzy had stretched and reached the cache squealing as she retrieved it as something moist fell on her we laughed our heads off but we couldn't see anything that could of a alarmed her, think we had the heebie jeebies. as we had come across a snake earlier on TFTC
must have been very powerful, the trees are large!
thank you milihage for the cache.

Out geocaching with my aunty. Both of us were too short to reach, but my aunty had a step that helped. Left GCA trackable inside cache.

After a big fat feast for Christmas lunch, took the family for a walk and showed them what Geocaching was all about. They were impressed when the cache was quickly in our hands, TFTC
Took a quick detour from the back roads trail to find this cache. Found with relative ease ( for once ). Thanks for bringing us here.
When I saw the cache name I thought it might be about a famous local racehorse [:o)]
Then I spotted the trees across the road.
They lost an argument with something
Tornados may be rare in Australia, but I do keep seem to be visiting the site of their damage trails on a regular basis.
Some because of caches and others by pure chance
Well as long as I keep turning up after the event I'll be happy

Refound this one, I first foun him in may, but forgot to log him, so I signed it again. Thank you milihage for the cache. TNLN
Fortunately Mr Thetaz is quite tall and was able to put his hand on it. Interesting story. TFTC
Found with GeoJnr and GeoTilly. Last for the day as getting a little warm. Nice quick find. TFTC. Cheers.
Interesting bit of history associated with this cache. Nice easy drive by. If you think like a cacher the GZ should be in hand easily... TFTC
Busy road and hard to be discreet, found it pretty easy but lucky I had my taller husband with me
What could be better doing some caches on the way home from a golf trip? Nice and easy cache with some pretty interesting history to boot. TFTC
Well I never knew about that - or I just forgot. Thanks milihage for the cache although that is one busy road.
In Echuca/Moama for the day. I enjoyed some geo caching with the family. Found 9 out of 11, so not to bad. Had geo son and geo wife help me out at various stages amongst massages, pancakes and paddleboat rides!. Fun was had by all!
Found this one 8 meters away from GZ (with a 3m accuracy). The spot was pretty obvious anyway. Took trackable, left cassuary.

Heading upto to Echuca for the weekend, thought I would take the opportunity to grab some caches because of time restraints i couldn't get as many as i would have liked but still got through a few with the help of a friend caching for the first time.

Found by one half of Team Ladava around 1.45pm while the other half was receiving treatment at the local 'bone bender' who we visit a couple of times a year.
A few years ago we too had a tornado cross through Sunbury and the Basketball Stadium it destroyed without injuring any of those inside is the subject of one of our caches. 'A Miracle in Sunbury'.
I see a swarm of bees have made a hive in the hollow trunk of the other tree.
Locations like this are 'the icing on the cake' of Geocaching with the locals hosting us anonymously to their favourite spots.

Found this one in the dark.
The trees here have copped a battering but we would have had no idea why if it was't for this geocache.
It is great when locals show the tourists these cool things.
