Got the tip from Amstradkid that he'd replaced the cache. Geospouse, being ever impatient and not liking to leave a DNF, decided we'd go and find the new cache after work and in the dark (again!). The cache was in a new location and we found it reasonably quickly but I was reluctant to log it because it was so different from any other caches we'd found. We'd seen something similar at another site and we knew definitely in that case it wasn't the actual cache. However, this evening (Monday) Geospouse again had the urge and off we went and found Amstradkid's caches at Perth, McIver, and Seaforth stations. And, guess what? The Perth cache was very similar to the new Sherwood cache, so I've decided it was a find and I've logged it.
Thanks for the series Amstradkid.
Thanks for the series Amstradkid.
It was dark and it was time to head off but my geospouse was keen to keep going after having failed at Armadale station. Well, we were at GZ very quickly and spend quite a long time looking in different places but we couldn't find the cache. Perhaps it was the dark, perhaps it is no longer there, perhaps we were looking for the wrong thing? I think the geospouse wants to do the whole series. TFTH
While out and about we decided to scout this one out as the train station was deserted. The GPS'r took a while to settle but once we had a settled GZ, the cache was soon found, a nice cache. SL TFTC AmstradKid
On my way to Me&B's house to travel to the event. Early so stopped off for what I thought might be a long find. No one around as the Perth to Armadale line was closed for track repairs. Made a quick and clever cache find, and off I went. TFTH Amstradkid.
Came home early on Melbourne Cup Day. Did not back a winner, but thought, why not pick up a cache or two. Forgot the GPS, but remembered this was cache nearby. Actually noticed a likely spot for a cache as I was driving slowly by (whilst stuck behind one of those twin semi trailers). Spun around at the roundabout, parked the car, and ta dah!! Finally, picked a winner in the end. Nice hide. Thanks for the cache AmstraKid.
A quick find once all the muggles disappeared from the train station. TFTC Amstradkid
There were a some muggles on the platform as we approached GZ but after a few minutes a train arrived and they all departed. No new arrivals so the coast was clear. I was still waiting for my GPSr to settle down when geokid a (5) held up the cache saying "is this it?". Managed to sign the log and replace before the next train arrived. TFTC!
I must have been getting tired by the time I got to this one. I ended up searching in all the wrong places before looking in the right place. Oh so obvious once you have the cache in hand. Thanks for this one too AnstradKid
Nice quick find, think we've looked for this before with no luck. Having luck today

Found on World Geocaching day with Mrs CDM261 and Mr Dazndky.
First on our current visit to the west.
A very beautiful, almost spring like, day to go for a short walk to find a cache.
Had difficulty extracting the log but after a little effort we were able to sign the log.

Knowing that is was the Second Annual International Geocaching Day a find simply had to be made and so this one was it. After a short hike we arrived at GZ and within a minute Mrs CDM261 had the cache in hand. Extracting the log proved to take much longer but eventually we were able to make our marks before enjoying the final day's rays on the return walk. Found with CDM261, TFTC!
Drove past and noticed a cache only 13 meters away. Couldn't resist parking and have a quick look! I read the hint and found it straight away. I couldn't remove the log, so didn't sign it. TFTC
I found it! I found it!
I would have looked for this one no less than four times right after I first started geocaching, then several months later another look.
Had to look again on finding out the cache had been replaced.
When I found it, my 14y son was in awe, “It’s that small! Mum, how did you manage to find that?” Now that’s enough to make any Geocacher smile isn’t it?
Geocache navigator on my phone got to three metres.
Thanks for the cache, AmstradKid, a good hide I reckon.

Had a good look for this one today, but no luck. Might be missing.
Will keep an eye on it.

After caching fow a few hours with Skulduggery today, she had to go home just as rudi63 arrived in the area. So I swapped cachign partners!
We drove over to this one to have a look as it was one of the ones in the area that he had not done. I parked rather close to where the cache was thought to be and we started out search. After branching out a bit without joy, we searched back towards where we were originally and rudi63 thankfully made the find
Thanks for the cache AmstradKid
Cheers

Rememberance day, I had to attend a few Ceremonies and dedications today, and was not sure if I would have the time to grab some caches, but the final dedication at the WACA finished. I jumped in the car, found a place to cache into more suitable caching attire and off to this area to attend the afternoon event cache.
Out with Mr. Wileyclan to grab a couple of caches before the event cache, the car park here was relatively empty, and the station was remarkably muggle free, It took a little searching to find this tube, but a little persistance and we had the cache to hand. Thanks AmstradKid, I have achieved another of this series.

We met up with iluvtrekking for a 'big day out' caching in the Jarrahdale/Armadale area. It had been muggled as we found the container on the ground and the log missing. Put a new log in and placed as close as we could to the given hint.
Found empty cache container lying on the ground. Replace the log and cache as close to GZ as possible. TFTC
Spent a long time late at night hunting for this one. Me&B wandered over to introduce herself and tempt us with the hiding place (In hindsight it would be nice to know where that elusive cache is actually hiding!). Had to give up in the end and move on empty handed.
Thanks for an enjoyable evening AmstradKid.

well, what can I say....it was dark....no nosey neighbours....nobody at the platform....nobody waiting in the carpark....the cache was mine mine mine!!!!
have been to a Ladysmith in South Africa....series nearly completed...thanks AmstradKid
Popped down this side of town to visit a few train stations with The Machman. A quick find here by The Machman. We hadn't read about the dramas with the first cache here. TFTC AmstradKid
Out on a very short Caching run with Felix II.
The cards in the car park gave good shelter and made for an easy pick up
at an unexpectedly quiet time.

Decided to do some sightseeing in Canada with my brother. Bumped into quite a few cachers here for a somewhat mini-event. Got the cache and tried to grab the original (with the help of a couple of pairs of small hands) but had no luck, and then a couple of muggles came along and stopped us looking further. TFTC!
Found while out caching with my brother, and it was great to meet several other cachers at the GZ. TFTC!
Wow cachers are out everywhere in the area today. We met two other teams at this cache. Its always great to meet other cachers. A quick search and we had the cache in hand.
Searched for ages for this one, found eventually and it was great to catch up with Ursula (who was not caching, but catching the train) TFTC.
Found it this time. Even though we knew where the other was we were unable to recover it from the depths during our previous attempt.
Thanks for the quick repair job.
Sorry we were unable to help out on retrieving the last one.

Twin sister put in place with log updated. This one is a little timid and does not like dark spaces.
Marker rock is left for anybody who can retrieve other lost sister.

I went to check it out on my way home from work. I was armed with a magnet and a coat hanger as I was not sure what to use.
I was unable to retrieve it and I think its slipped past the point of recovery behind the rock.

I found the cache but didn't manage to sign the log. It took me a short while to spot the cache, and once I tried to grab it, it was just a little too far out of my finger reach. I used sticks and a piece of wire to ease it forward, and got it to a place where I thought I could grab it, but then I made it worse as it flicked back even further than before into the little hole behind the ledge it is meant to sit on. My fingers and knuckles were grazed and I gave up when the red ants started liking me too much. Someone with smaller hands might be able to grab it - a 12 year old coal miner perhaps?? I left the black rock marking the entrance to the hole. Hence my bad luck of the day apparently continued and I decided to go straight home.
WanderingAus wandered by, escaping from the Royal Wedding broadcast, parked in one of only two available parking bays, and made another extremely quick and easy GAFF 0 find directly in front of the geoPajero.
My find No 3567, TNLNSL, dropped my WanderingAus Happy New Year 2008 Gold GC and my WanderingAus GeoMobile TB in for a visit before grabbing them back again.
Unfortunately the afternoon peak traffic was starting to build up, and I'd already been easily beaten out of FTF honours on all the hunts so far, so I decided to abandon the hunt and go home for a cuppa.

I saw the first of all these new caches published so prepared to go out caching and waited until I was reasonably sure that there were no more to come and then headed out.
This was the first cache I got to and made a quick find after parking where I shouldn't as there were not any bays available.
Thanks for the cache.
