We are on a caravanning trip around Australia and the weather looked good for today so we decided a day trip out to the National Park. Stopped here on the way out of the park to make the cache find.I was thinking I knew where this one was when we pulled up until my partner said is that it there. So was a nice quick find. Thanks for the cache
A park and grab of the finest type. Love the old tin hidden here!Staying 2 nights in the Lincoln National Park set us up well for a good day of caching and exploring the area. Some enquiries the day before had us driving into Port Lincoln to collect the key into the locked world heritage area of the park. It's great to have access to this, and was a great day with only a couple of others seen all day. The weather was perfect with blue skies and sunshine. The scenery stunning, great beaches, headlands and a turquoise water. Many of the caches unfound for long periods and due for a found. One had almost 3 years of unlove and many DNFs, a great find to confirm it was still there. Enjoyed watching whales splash gentle by the cliffs from above, with their loud airblows and another stunning sunset to end the day. Although we did cache on in the dark on the way back to camp well after it. For a detour to meet friends the evening before, a great choice to experience this area. Thanks for your cache.
Another long trip around AU over the top end with lots of detours. Now heading back east across the Nullarbor with a stop at Maralinga.TFTC. Was at Ceduna with Aquilus1 on the way to Coober Pedy when invited to dinner at Lincoln National Park at the bottom of Eyre Peninsula by a group of Canberra geocachers including Gliss & nibletricecakes.Camped a couple of nights and totally enjoyed caching through the most of the park including getting the Memory Cove key.Found a few unloved DNFs, lots of kangaroos, emus, whales, snakes wriggling out of caches and looking through caves.Well worth it.Nice quick drive by.
Found while out in the Park for the day. Big spider ️ in the tin. Scared Mrs Suthie!

Out on trusty treadles exploring the trail and sights and riding back to the Port. . Finally in Port Lincoln with time ahead to stop in this lovely well kept historic town. Day 17 in SA after numerous trips were sabotaged due to you know what and its a fab day. The Ikera- Flinders Ranges, Whyalla, Port Lincoln and a few in between caches are high on the list along with several other random caches so hoping to tick all boxes before heading back to home base. I’ve learnt theRE are plenty of quality SA caches - plenty to pique the curiosity and anticipation of another surprise or fun cache. TFTC AND THE FUN and the effort to contribute to this fave game.

After our trek in 4x4 country through Memory Cove, we had a look and decided to make our way around the coast and convert some picturesque spots along this scenic route to smileys too.
Thanks especially to the CO’s for taking time to set out and maintain these hides and for showing us your very special part of the world

One good thing that has come out of the Covid situation, is the need to holiday in your home state. With a week or so to spend away, we decided to head to Port Lincoln - a place we had not visited before. Our first day in the area was spent exploring Lincoln National Park, and what better way to find all the interesting spots, than to find the caches which had been hidden. Thanks for showing us many interesting places.
Only one of the three goals from last year achieved. So once again trying and fill my calendar with multi-caches and complete loop 11 again this year. [^] For my third goal I will try and get my DNF numbers to single digits. That should keep me busy again this year! [:o)]
Off to the west coast for a Holiday. [^] Holiday Sal Style that is. We are sightseeing - if there happens to be a cache there - great - get it. Luckily caches are in really interesting spots anyway.
Day 8: Port Lincoln - Day trip to Lincoln National Park.
Not too many people around today despute it being school holidays. Stopped and made a quick find.
***Thanks wheres wolly for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. ***

Today we explored some of the Port Lincoln National park, driving around, walking on many different tracks, sightseeing at the beaches and surrounds and finding many different caches along the way. What an awesome day we had and such fantastic weather as well. We also were happy to inadvertently find 4 FTFs as well for the day. TFTC
Well it’s 2021 and I have finally said good bye to a not so great 2020 and it was great to finally be able to have a reasonable holiday as I have not had a decent break since 2019.
Made to South Australia and finally crossing the boarder and then being greeted by a couple of very friendly SA police offices for which i had the official paper work to allow me to enter.
After making my way west along the Eyre Hwy I went as far as Penong and the Eyre Hwy which I have not travelled along since the late 70’s when I was on a holiday with my folks and this was the last holiday before I started full time work as a sparkie and finding a few caches as I go.
Geocaching when towing a van is not always easy and I have to be a bit selective on which ones I decide to try and find for safe parking purposes especially along busy highways.
So after leaving Coffin Bay my next destination is Port Lincoln which is down the bottom of Eyre Peninsular off the Flinders Hwy.
I’m hoping for better weather soon I don’t mind it being cool just not rain showers when you are out and about.
So I set the van up at Surfleet Campground that is in Lincoln National Park yesterday and today is a new day so it was time to explore the South West area and the weather is finally looking good.
Made it back to the entrance of the NP to start from there and headed back in and it is very easy to park without the van on.
I was not launching today so I just parked the Geocruiser located the cache and was tacking off to the next one.
Thanks wheres wolly TFTC.

Found on a family history trip to the Victorian goldfields.
It has now got to the stage where we have over 750 draft logs waiting to be completed. These range back over at least a couple of years.
We are not a fan of generic logs but with everything that has been on our plates recently we reluctantly have to admit this may be the only way we can get this back log cleared. If your cache is in our backlog it usually means it is one that we wanted to spend more time creating a much more bespoke log than this. But we are not managing to achieve that goal. So in the interests of getting the backlog cleared we have decided to resort to this long form of TFTC as a way of getting a large number of them cleared.
We apologise for the lack of commentary specific to your cache or event. We are somewhat targeted in what we go after. There are unfounded caches within a few kilometres of our home which we published before we started 8 years ago. We have just never got around to o looking for them. We like unusual cache types, puzzles in particular, older caches, and tend to target a much more wider group of caches when we travel. We like remote caches and caches that bring us to an interesting place. It is likely that this cache found its way into our find list because it fits one of these criteria.
As cache owners we appreciate the effort that goes into hiding and maintains caches so thank you for that.

Nomads travelling in their caravan around Australia. We have been on the road since July 2011 and discovered caching in August 2013. We travel with a bunch of travel bugs belonging to our sons and grand children. Where ever possible, we will maintain your cache as we travel.
Camped up on the hill behind Port Lincoln, today, it was time to explore the Lincoln National Park.
We singled out 14 caches, and found all fourteen of them. all in good order, except for one - details on that page.
For a D2.5 T3 this was pretty easy. Thanks Wheres wolly

Today was my one full day in Port Lincoln, so I headed to the Lincoln National Park. I've been caching here before (in 2007) and enjoyed the scenery so it was a good chance to revisit and pickup a whole lot of new caches. Found nice and quickly. Where's Wolly's co-ordinates are excellent.

Travelling Australia since March 2014 it has been a while since in SA but enjoying this visit greatly.
Visiting Port Lincoln we decided to spend the day in Lincoln NP exploring. All was going well until Mr Felix took a tumble and hurt his back, so we aborted our mission and will have to return another time.

After walking straight past it & searching a good 10m away, was just about to give up when I spotted the tell tale signs of the rocks. GPS a bit out today but we got there in the end. TFTC
Wellllllll, this cache was eventful, as I opened the box a chuffing great big spider (I’m a pommy so probably small for your ozzy’s) crawled in. After calming down I tipped the box so the poor fella could get out, signed the logbook, replaced the tin and ran back to the van lol! TFTC
We were heading back to Port Lincoln and while we originally intended to head down to Taylors Landing Campground for a look-see, we changed our plans and headed directly back to town after finding this cache.

Hi there wheres wolly.
We found your cache **"LANDING OR TAKING OFF"** at 10:19:00 AM today. (This makes our find count 15739).
We enjoyed our trip around the Lincoln National Park today. (We came prepared with some cache maintenance gear, but it wasn't needed very often).
On our journey we found a wide variety of container types. We ended up finding 16 caches with 0 DNF's today. Thanks for placing this cache here, without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places on our travels.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found the cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** A Smiley Badge.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny.

We had originally intended to head back to Adelaide today, but instead, decided to extend our stay in Port Lincoln one more night... and so glad we did, as it was a beautiful warm sunny day... a perfect day to explore Port Lincoln National Park :c) Oh, and find a few geocache too!! TFTC!!
Staying at Surfleet camp ground on our way home to Queensland from a long visit to W.A. Today we went into town for supplies and found a few caches along the way. TFTC
Sort of like our previous find I guess: we landed, did our stuff & took off again. Though firmly attached to the ground at all times.
