Won't make it out that way to do maintenance for a while so need to archive this one.
Need to disable this one until I can get back there and replace the cache. Looks like it is largely gone AWOL.
Found what I think was the cache only thing left was pen. CO should check it out.
As I said in my Find Log I could only find the Lid and a mushy log. Left a piece of paper for future finders until the CO can perform some maintenance.
11786. Quick find on a trip heading home from Sydney.
Heading home today with a bit of time up my sleeve so I detoured off the highway a number of times to grab this and a number of other caches. This one may need some TLC and attention as I only found the lid (with Tankengines 2011 sticker still on it !) and what may have been the mushy log. I left a piece of paper under the lid in what I hope is close to GZ.
Thanks robatfarrer !!

Found on our way to the Bungonia National Park on a very windy day. Geowife did the final climb to GZ and soon had the cache in hand. We discovered the TB but left it for another cacher to move on as we will be this area for a while. TFTC Robatfarrer
Got to 1m away but no obvious places right there so I put my phone in my pocket and found it on instinct. Left a TB. Found with b0tmun
Stopped here yesterday on my way to the State League Orienteering event... a welcome pit stop after driving from Sydney. Also picked up Old Roman.
Took a while but eventually found it. Definitely over thought this one. Few muggles driving over the bridge but eventually logged it. Tftc.
Driving my younger brother to Canberra for an orientation day at uni - Justified a day of geocaching!
1hr of Orientation vs. 9hrs of Geocaching - I think I got the better deal (& an extra set of eyes/hands for the caching too)
Cannot confirm the total find count today until I log them all, but it was somewhere between 30-40. Not bad considering I didn't store any caches in my GPS or Phone: just went with the flow!!
Thanks for the day Canberra - You always treat my find count well
~~~End of Copy/Paste Section~~~
44th of the day.
Drove out to Bungonia to pick up the two caches in town to make it to the 40 find milestone (which I didn't know I already passed).
Quick find here. Dead huntsman is the cache guardian it seems!
Cheers
We have left inside a TravelBug (from Germany) we picked up in Ulladulla a few months ago. Looking fwd to seeing who picks it up. Thanks for an easy enough find close to where we have been camping.
Found it on the way back from a visit to the Great Horseshoe Bend on the Shoalhaven. Left the map
Lucky I wore my hiking boots however didn't even need them if I didn't do the most difficult way! On the plus side no muggels
Today saw me heading back up the Hume Hwy after a study camp at a friend's farm in Bungonia. I planned to pick up a few caches between Bungonia and Berrima.
A quick find on a very cold and windy afternoon.
TFTC! Spontaneous cache day to get over our 300. Not really prepared for it. Make sure to wear good sturdy shoes!
Late log. Just getting back into geocaching and catching up. Thanks for hiding a cache here. Cheers.
#1596 - Found M but it was stuck and took B a few minutes to remove. tftc. All part of the fun n our AroundOz bicycle challenge.
While in the area and taking a few detours down side roads, I continued on for this one. Parked down below and after a short walk, the cache was in hand. Log signed, cache replaced and I was back on the road.
A place I haven't visited before...so thanks for the cache robatfarrer.....
Took the advice and took the long way home, overland from Tarago... Biggest potholes and worst corrugations seen since the Tanami track. Eventually wound through the nice farm land to quiet Bungonia. Found what I was looking for beside a fast flowing stream and continued on. Thanks for placing, back another day to head down the gorge.
Found on our return from the lookouts. Thought it was going to be in a tricky spot based on the GPS location, but spotted a likely easier spot and there it was!
Thanks for the cache, in a nice quiet location.
Claim this find with my geofriend. We think this is a lovely getaway spot for a short camping trip. The caves further along the road will lure us another day. Thanks for the cache.
Found with a bunch of caving scouting people while the bus broke down 100 metres away.
Easy find while trying to fix a broken down bus. With a bunch of caving scouts. TFTH.
Found with 1st National School for Scouts. We were driving back to Cataract scout park (after our 2nd of three days of caving) when our bus broke down around 50 meters from the cache so we thought brilliant. So around 10 of us set of and we soon had the cache found and signed. TFTC!
A nice and easy find while on the way home after walking the red route through the slot canyon which was amazing. Thanks for bringing us out this way. TFTC.
After spending a rather damp weekend at Bungoinia Gorge with Macarthur Scouts caving and abseiling, we decided to collect this one on our return trip. Fortunately the other vehicles in our convey realised that we weren't in any trouble as we swung off the road and bailed out, running back down the road, GPS in hand. Tehy were kind enough to wait for us, only paying out on our 'caching addiction' once we got back! A quick find, signed the log and returned to our journey. TFTC.
I love the reason for placing a cache here. "to get cachers out here and off the highway". Well I was down the road having an experience of a lifetime driving a V8 Supercar, and GeoWife said she wanted to show me the Bungonia National Park. So on the way we stopped "GeoSon on "L" plates, and stopped at teh picnic area down by the waterhole near the cache and he beat me to the cache. Visited the church on the hill and then on to the national park. Thanks for bringing us here. Left a hand-ball.
Nice easy find on a drive out to The lookout at Bungonia Gorge. Found with Max1024 & Nathan. Corey while Miss Tean Muggle watched from the car!!
Found on the way from Sydney to Canberra. A very enjoyable and relaxing detour. Sadly I didnt have enough time to look around Bungonia. I will definitely have to come back and spend some more time here.
Thanks robatfarrer for the hunt and the great location.
Reperio at 1520.
I was out this way to grab 'The Wall' on a detour to the ACT...and on the way back past I stopped off to grab this one as well. This was a nice little shady spot to park...and it wasn't long before the cache was in hand.
Gratias robatfarrer.
Found today with mate Knuddo on our way to a canyoning adventure at Bungonia. This was my first DNF back in October on my second day of geocaching. Came back today with a better gps and lots more experience. Found without any trouble. Glad I did this on the way to canyoning because I would not have been able to get to it on the way home - muscles too tired to even get out of the car! TFTC robatfarrer. So glad to have got this one at last.
A few problems with GPS then all good 4/4 for geokid today!! Nice little spot by the river. Will have to come back to camp! TFTC
A quick find with WoodyFigtree whilst on the way to Bungonia for a day of canyoning. No issues locating this one.
Cheers
Fairly quick find although needed to be sure-footed on this misty rainy day. Nice area here, TFTC.
Travelled out to Bungonia to go abseiling and caving with a couple of muggle mates. Very new to geocaching and still learning to use the Navman gps. Could not find this cache even though we looked for ages. Planning to come back to go canyoning with Z Access Adventures (they are the best adventure crew!) and will have another go then - hopefully will be more experienced and will find it LOL. TFTC robatfarrer
Easy find on the way back from a weekend stay at a friends parents farm. Approached this one from the bottom before realising my mistake and had to do some seriously dangerous climbing to get to the GZ. Was mainly after the TB as we are going OS very soon, and need to take a few with me.
Soon had the cache in hand, chucked the bug down to my awaiting daughter and signed the log and replaced the cache back in its hiding spot.
TFTC robatfarrer. Nice to grab caches like this off the beaten track...
Another detour on the way back to Goulburn, but I don't think I have been here before. Again I was a bit disappointed there was nothing much in the village, but the cache was here and that is why I am here. Thanks.
In the area doing some caving with SES friends. It was time to head home as we drove out we grabbed this nearby cache.
Thanks
Thanks
TFTC was driving through on the way to driver training with Nissan 4wd club
This was a quick find. Thanks for this one - we have driven over this bridge 100's of times and never bothered to stop and get out to look around - would be a nice spot for a picnic
Quick grab on my way out to the National Park. Nice little spot for a stop off. SLTN..TFTC
YEAH our 100th cache. Found while travelling out to our property in the nearby area. Left a bit more camo on this cache as it was totally out in the open. TFTC SL Took necklace left keyring
We did look strange and as people drove over the bridge we had to wave...didn't this belong to one of them??
Fun search and i quickly found -ahead of edgecreeper had to duck a few times from passing cars while we logged this one.
The last time we were in Bungonia, we had stopped in a lay-by not far from the bridge to stretch our legs. What we didn't realise was that this cache was being published on that same day! After getting home and realising we missed an easy FTF (would have been our first), we were determined to come back and make the find. And so it was, six months later, we found ourselves at the same lay-by but this time with a loaded GPS. A short walk later we had the cache in hand and Zita soon had the log signed. Bungonia a gem of a town and it would be great to see some more caches here. Thanks robatfarrer!
I didn't know this little area was here despite coming through Bungonia to go caving/walking/canyoning/etc many times. After some poking around Tim & I found the cache while Ben & Nicola slept in the car.
Nice little spot I'll remember for the future.
