Bye bye lemon! You clocked a bit of work.

10-Nov-21
It’s there, just visible, not quite accessible. NM on this one for sure.

26-Sep-21
Went out to Canning Vale today to find some caches I’ve had sitting on the map for some time. However, I ended up giving up fairly early on following multiple DNFs. I decided a more efficient use of my time was to go and mow the lawn.

Cache is totally stuck fast and without damaging the tree there is no chance of getting it out. See photo. I’m logging a find because everyone else is. Cheers duncdonut73! Big Grin

G’day duncdonut73! I am recommending a maintenance checkup at this cache for the following reason:

17-Jun-21
I have to admit it had to be given the numbers. I was on the right track but just couldn't there no matter how much I tried.
GZ was a quick find - kind of. As reported the cache is stuck fast. I actually think the tree as grown and is gripping it now. The ants nest didn't help. I will claim a find but definitely needs CO's attention. TFTC

28-Feb-21
Find 6 of 15 with 3 DNFs on a warm MTB ride around Canning Vale, mostly led by PF's excellent puzzles.

Like the previous searcher, we spotted the container but it's not going anywhere and the lid is not opening - probably would need a drill to get it out. The ants were very interested in our attempts so add gloves to the requirements. Logging a find as it doesn't get many!

TFTC duncdonut73!

24-Jan-21
At GZ spotted the container. Removing it from its spot was another story. The container is jammed in its spot. I was unable to coax it out of its nook even with a steel tool.

Might come back another day with something stronger to try and extricate the container.

After a busy week I headed out solo this morning for a bit of geotherapy. Keen to grab a few while it was really pleasant and there aren’t too many people around.

duncdonut73 SVKR_WA is happy to have found your cache A Clockwork Lemon today at 07:39:43 24 Jan 2021. This brings my find count to 4619

duncdonut73 - Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment. We love travelling and visiting some places that we would only visit due to this game.

I've looked at this puzzle a few times over the past year or so and thought I knew how to solve it but couldn't quite figure it out. Pulling it out again recently I realised I was on the right track, but just needed to persist. What a satisfying feeling getting the green light on the checker. An excellent puzzle! Searching at GZ took a bit of time, as it seemed nature had started growing around the container but we managed to get it! TFTC duncdonut73

28-May-19
I’ve tried to solve this puzzle so many times I’ve lost count. Even with Mickeydv giving me a huge hint, I just couldn’t get it to work. Eventually a fellow cacher gave me the info I needed. For a CO with a smile that should be insured for the same amount as Bolt’s legs, you certainly write some evil puzzles!! GZ was mushroom and mozzie ridden late in the afternoon. Thanks for the hide.

05-Feb-19
Worked out the puzzle and came to collect my smiley tftc

After a stinking hot day, which sapped the life out of me and most of the caching community, the sun decided to retreat and the temperatures dropped, ready for a beautiful evening. Time to get a few more caches.

Managed to finally cleanup my nemesis cache Rattus! aswell as some other puzzles in the area. Thanks for some good fun and for placing these caches for us to enjoy.

Neat puzzle

Had looked at this puzzle on and off since we started geocaching and could never get the digits despite being reassured we were examining the correct section. Finally got around to asking the younger member of the team to examine it with younger eyes and we soon had the coordinates that green lit the checker. Detoured yesterday and found the mint tin (not small) and replaced the log which had turned into mush with the wet weather over winter. Great little puzzle (for those not visually challenged) and interesting title. Remember seeing the orange version (Kubrick) at the movies in my impressionable youth and was horrified. perhaps because we lived in a similar isolated property. Never liked horror movies since. Anyway, thanks for the puzzle and cache!

26-May-18
TFTH and the puzzle. Back again today on way past to redeem this DNF. Had been searching wrong one. Found with Ausdazz Thanks duncdonut.

26-May-18
Tfth & puzzle duncdonut73. Puzzle solved by Mouse111. We stopped as going past here today. Ziplock bag very wet and log quite damp. Replaced ziplock bag and managed to sign log.

25-May-18
DNF. Out with a break in the weather. Loved puzzle but couldn’t find today. Not in an obvious hiding hole anyway. It’s becoming a theme for me that I solve a mystery cache but get to GZ and can’t find Sad

23-May-18
Omg. I am pleased with myself as I only spent 5-10 minutes on this using the obvious clue and solved it. Yay. Was thinking what sort of mind comes up with this stuff. Perhaps one like mine. Cheers for great puzzle and hope to find this soon.

28-Mar-18
Left home very early this morning as the weather was perfect, well I think 10 degrees is perfect! Smile.
Had solved quiet a few puzzles around Thornlie/Gosnells over the past few months so attemped them today. Perfect success rate with 16 finds (14 mystery and 2 traditionals), so a great day out.
Looked at this several times over the years but got nowhere. Had a nudge from a friend the other day and it all suddenly fell into place. Quick find at GZ. Tipped out the water inside the cache, signed the log and was on my way. TFTC

09-Jun-17
After noticing that this one had been replaced, I stopped by to have another crack at it Smile. A nice quick find this time around and I tucked the cache away again after signing the book Big Grin

Smile A nice hide here and thankfully we had no trouble adding our name to the log book. TFTC Smile.

duncdonut73 - jinta29 found your cache A Clockwork Lemon on 9/6/17, 12:06 pm. This is my find #8204 and find #1 today. The cache is in good shape and we replaced it as found. Thanks for hiding this one and bringing us to this area!

28-Apr-17
Back today to avenge our previous dnf. A great, fun puzzle and happy to sign the log in the replaced cache.

TFTC duncdonut73 this is find # 2231 for us.

Got a phone call early this morning from geobuddy marke8183 asking if I wanted to go caching - silly question to be asking me now isn't it? Of course I wanted to go caching - what better to do on a beautiful autumn day than go out and grab some smileys!

Headed northwards towards the big smoke with no set plans, but after starting our day at a nearby cache, this one was spotted this one and headed here for our next find (think it really was my target cache for today, having had it in my solved pile for longer than I remember). Happy to say it was a quick find at gz of a nice new cache too. Thanks for the clever puzzle, the hunt and the smiley duncdonut73.

PS Fav for the puzzle.

19-Nov-16
Our nearest unfound puzzle but no luck today despite searching a number of hosts. Suffering severe cache blindness as we couldn't even find the bull ants lol. We will return with fresh eyes another day.

07-Oct-16
Had some coords for this one and headed out for the find. Unfortunately I couldn't find this one and got bitten several times by the ants for my trouble Twisted. I had a decent search in a couple of likely spots but could not locate it Razz

03-May-16
Well this one has been a bugbear of mine for a very long time for this visually impaired individual. Asked for a bit of help a while back and soon discovered that due to my limitations it was more or less a lost cause.

At a recent event I was bemoaning my issues about this cache and was gladly lent a helping hand to head me in the right direction. Needless to say I was stoked to finally have some coordinates and set out this arvo to make the grab.

Parked up nearby and made my way to GZ where I found the elusive cache in the second object I checked. Not many ants today to speak of made for a relatively incident free signing. Very glad to have this nemesis crossed off the list.

duncdonut73 I found your cache at 4:20pm, this was the 1st of 1 finds for me today and brings my total find count to 3120. The cache was in good order and I replaced it as found.

I'm looking forward to meeting other geocachers in Pinjarra at the 'WA GOES BIG IN 2016' event on the 4th - 5th June. Registrations now open.

Check it out at [GC5YAGP](http://coord.info/GC5YAGP)

The hubby had solved this puzzle a while ago so i decided i would head out today and find it. Not sure what i was thinking as i got soaking wet. with the stormy weather i found this one lying on the ground so after signing the log i placed it back where i thought it should go. TFTC duncdonut73

Originally logged under clan-wallace. Now using my own name.

24-Apr-16
Our euphoria at solving the puzzle & finding the cache, despite a the previous cacher recording a DNF, was short lived because as WebblyWA put her hand on the prize she screamed out in pain & promptly dropped it. HUGE bull ants! I checked that there were none left on the container & gingerly retrieved the log & did the necessary for both of us. I have been on the receiving end of one of those bites & know how painful they are. Hope you are feeling a bit better Webby. Thanks for the cache duncdonut.

24-Apr-16
Was so excited not only to have solved this puzzle but at finding a the cache despite a previous DNF. So excited in fact that I did not notice the giant bull ants accompanying it until they were biting my arms. Dropped the cache and starting swatting them off my arms but not before they left their mark in the form of a huge welt. Recovered the ant free cache and signed log before carefully replacing and Clan -Wallace using her stick to replace the camo to avoid being bitten again. Great puzzle and TFTC duncdonut73.

Has it been removed cause its not there.:'(

10-Jul-15
Got coords just recently. Was unsure of one digit. Headed down to the gz search radius and found the cache without problems. Fav for the cache. TFTC. I'll confirm my coords with the C.O.

21-Jun-15
Ducked out between showers as having solved this puzzle this morning who could resist finding it. Besides, it will acclimatize us for impending trip to Canberra in winter to pick up the handful of puzzle caches we have solved there.

Despite being wrapped in multiple plastic bags the cache is still wet and log pretty much mush. Couldn't sign log so added some fresh paper in a pill bottle.

21-Jun-15
See previous log.
Pill bottle is a bit big and will prevent swap being left.

Forgot to say: nice puzzle! Wink

23-Jan-15
With thanks to LAXA...

20-Dec-14
Needed a friendly hint, and then another one to see it.
We were always half way there but not quite enough. Thanks for the cache and the hints. Since we read from the electronic log that the paper log was a bit wet we brought a new one and left it there.

DNF - has this been removed?

21-Feb-14
Silly lemon. Turned up today ready to do a quick maintenance swap over and then realised I didn't have a spare cache in the car. Stopped by anyway and realised that the tree is trying to make good work of turning itself into a lemon pepper. Log is still mushy so will replace in next visit, but have moved the cache one tree over to share the lemony goodness.

19-Feb-14
Was discussing this puzzle with another cacher and finally got around to solving it. Came by today and nearly gave up trying to get it out. Couldn't sign the log when I did as it was just mush.

Thanks duncdonut73 for the cache.

19-Feb-14
This needs to be moved or a smaller container to replace the one being jammed in. I suspect the jamming in is causing the leakage.

I poured out the water but couldn't save the log so it will have to be replaced whatever else happens.

02-Jan-14
With help from a friend, we finally came up with a new set of co-ords.
Arrived at GZ, to find ourselves in a very nice park with lots of trees.
Signed the log which was wet, and replaced.
Thanks for the cache, duncdonut73.

This is a very nice hide in a beautiful spot. It was one I had to work out to publish a cache nearby...TFTC

30-Oct-13
After finding a bunch of solved puzzles in the northern reaches it was time to wend my way back home again, seeking out more puzzles on the way.
I struggled for some time with this very clever puzzle, but eventually, after a bit of a nudge from the CO, it all became clear. Ages ago! So finally was able to make a further detour to track it down and get it into the found box at last!
Had a further struggle with extracting the cache too. I think the tree is expanding and filling in the gap, as it took some maneuvering to remove it. And then there was quite a bit of water inside.. The log was damp, but still ok. Dried it out and replaced.
The area is well protected by some very aggressive ants... some nips are still being itched hours later!
Thanks for a clever puzzle and a well themed cache duncdonut73.

04-Jun-13
The puzzle took some time to solve, I thought I knew what to do but could not get it just right. I did eventually solve it some time back and as I was in the area I decided to have a look. Found with out difficulty, the plastic covering the container was in the open. The container was wet with a damp log. Dried out the container and carefully put it back all out of sight.

Thanks duncdonut73.

Enjoyed solving first wa puzzle cache. TFTC

28-Nov-12
A very clever puzzle this one, after driving by the ? many times in the last year, AmstradKid and I sat down to try to work this one out. We had an idea what we had to, but with GeoChecker website down we had to just look for a solution then go search. AK came up with the final solution, a great puzzle which gave us some brain exercise, a fav from us, SL TFTC duncdonut63

28-Nov-12
After spending a hour on this one with Keego with many possibilties we put it in a check on two locations as the checker was down on the page.
After Keego left I had another look and came up with suitable co-ords and went with Keego to check. Found and very much relieved to find this one.
Thanks duncdonut 73 great puzzle.

15-Nov-12
Thanks ducdonut for a clever puzzle which I have been trying to solve for ages. Have to admit I got a bit more help at the 10-11-12 event and was able to eventually get it. I was so happy to find it in a lovely classic hidey hole..... not like some other nasty ones out there. Am awarding a favourite. TFTC

22-Aug-12
Had a moment of enlightenment on the night of IGD and after months of this one sitting on my to do list
I had solved it at last. Headed off to GZ today and was confronted with numerous locations, but narrowed down the possibilities and after a short hunt had it in hand. TFTC Dunc

Out on a "Puzzle Cache" run with McFonz and Felix II.

We had a list of Puzzle Solutions due the varying degrees of hard work from the different team members, so today was about picking up the Caches.

I have to give a big thanks to the Cache owner for preapring a special Cache listing just for me to take into account my disability, without which I would never have come close to solving the puzzle.

A very apt container in the end.
Sorry its taken me so long to get here, but a FAV point for sure.

25-Apr-12
Was in Perth for a few days caching and of course finished a few off on the way to my destination. Great puzzle. With the exception of the lady walking a dog I had the place to myself (Public holiday). Waited for them to get a bit further away before retrieving the cache.

Excellent container to finish off the puzzle too.

Had solved this one a while back and finally had an excuse to come down this way...nice GZ, didn't realise it was here....cheers duncdonut73 for another intriguing puzzle

Last cache for the day with FelixII, Loved your puzzle - excellent one. Signed the log. Thanks duncdonut73.

20-Mar-12
Mr Felix is working on a super urgent work project at home away from the work phones and the callers saying, " Is it Finished yet! "

So of course Mrs Felix was fed up with tiptoeing around the house attempting to be quiet! Never mind all the household jobs she had to do, but of course house work isn't silent (vaccumming, washing etc)

So when banished from the house what would you do? Go caching of course.......

So when telling Everlasting my tale of woe last night, she offered to join me today! So after successfully completing AP 092 to AP 100 she decided to head on over here to find your cache.

It worked well for me as my puzzle fairy and Geo Buddy have been working independantly on this for the best part of 6months! I know they have recently solved it but haven't got here to find it..... I'm sure between them they would have helped me out....

Luckily no need now, as I just accompanied Everlasting. I laughed very loudly when I pulled out the container as it looks awfully familiar! guess you will see why when you return north of the river for another caching run. So a traditional find for me. One day I will get into these tricky, clever puzzle things.

Thanks dunc.

I left an orange and some lemons. It seemed suitable. Razz TFTC and puzzle.

Nice puzzle, also found by torchlight, but run on AA's!

From now on, when life gives me lemons, I know what I'll be making! Thanks Duncdonut!

05-Feb-12
Worked with richlink to solve this puzzle some time ago. Then found under torchlight with richlink as last cache in our Cache Marathon. Loved the puzzle, the location, and (especially) the cache container.

05-Feb-12
Had a big day out caching with iluvtrekking in a 13 hour marathon and recording our PB in number of finds. In tandem with iluvtrekking we had worked on this puzzle for some time and finally came up with the answer. Very happy to finish up on a high note as this was our last cache of the day - very cute and appropriate container!

15-Jan-12
Mr TA Cracked the code, which, when showed to mrs TA, she was very impressed both by the tricky nature of the mystery and the solution. definitely was a very inventive mystery. we were pondering a cache on this very area as well but are pleased that a good one is already here! Tfth very happy with this mystery

I can clearly remember the lemon battery clock that Dunc refers to, and also the fun we all had experimenting with it.

While trying to anticipate his way of thinking, I often read too much into his puzzles. I managed to solve this one a few weeks ago, but not before first heading completely in the wrong direction. I felt confident that I had picked up on all the clues, and worked out a set of perfectly viable coordinates, which even looked promising on Google Earth, only to discover that they were completely wrong. I cast aside my pre-conceived ideas, and looked at the puzzle again, and this time the correct solution presented itself. A simple and elegant puzzle!

This afternoon, I headed off to the GZ and located the cache in the first place I looked. Thanks again for a great puzzle and cache Dunc!

28-May-11
I knew what I had to do but just couldn't put my finger on what I was doing wrong. I asked a previous finder for a hint and they told be to put my shin guards on and yes I did kick myself. How could I not have tried that?
Today we found the cache without any problems. We changed the outer bag because it had water in it but the inside of the container was quite dry.
Thanks Dunc for the well done puzzle and of course the cache.

27-May-11
Was first to solve this I think, but second to find by a long way. Took the GC. SL TFTC and puzzle.

09-May-11
Well this cache was a lemon! Smile (sorry, had to be said, lol)

Actually I had a fun time solving the puzzle only a few minutes after sno seeker, and when I left work I saw that there had been no other successful guesses on the checker, so I decided to go for it.

Heading south on the freeway bike path there was quite a headwind, but soon I was pulling up at GZ. There was a volleyball game going on not far from GZ, but far enough away for me to make the find. It took quite a long time for the iPhone GPS to settle down and find itself, but I was determined to search every tree in the area. Eventually the iPhone pointed me in the right direction and it was a well hidden but obvious find.

I was very happy to be rewarded with a blank log book, so I left the Ancient Cultures GC.

Thanks for the puzzle and the cache dunc!
