It's Canterbury Anniversary Day and an outdoor adventure awaits. Walking around New Brighton trying to find a number of caches. It's sunny and not very windy - perfect! The cache was a suprisingly quick find today. Thx!
Day seven of our Enzed trip with Robmc. We are staying in New Brighton and spent the day at the Antarctic Center and then collected a few targetted caches this afternoonWe have missed this one although we have passed it many times - we are leaving tomorrow so it was nice to visit it today. Nice to see such a large container too/ Thanks for contributing to our holiday Wombles B.J&T
Day seven of our epic New Zealand Adventure with The Morris.Staying in Christchurch and spent the day at the Antarctic Center (with a few caches on the side!)This was the closest cache to where we were staying, couldn't leave without collecting it.Thanks, Robmc.
Ive taken a few stabs at this cache, usually after work. Not much luck. Tried again today before work and with plenty of light - success!
Nice, finally managed to make it down while it was relatively quiet and found the cache quickly. Cool spot, thanks.
Been parked overnight in the nearby freedom camping spot so it would be silly if I didn't wander down and grab this before heading off, TFTC
On our last day in New Zealand we stay in Christchurch. This beautiful cache was on our way.TFTCHennesAt the end comes the poem of the day.New Zealand By James K. Baxter (for Monte Holcroft)These unshaped islands, on the sawyers bench,Wait for the chisel of the mind,Green canyons to the south, immense and passive,Penetrated rarely, seeded onlyBy the deer-cullers shot, or else in the northTribes of the shark and the octopus,Mangroves, black hair on a boxers hand. The founding fathers with their guns and bibles,Botanist, whaler, added bones and namesTo the land, to us a bridleAs if the id were a horse: the swampy townsLike dreamers that struggle to wake,Longing for the poets truthAnd the lovers pride. Something new and oldExplores its own pain, hearingThe rains choir on curtains of grey mossOr fingers of the Tasman pressingOn breasts of hardening sand, as actorsFind their own solitude in mirrors,As one who has buried his dead,Able at last to give with an open hand.
Second day in N Z second find while camped in the freedom camp will try to do one a day for the trip TFTC
Went for a visit to the Brighton pier yesterday and stopped at this park on the way home to find a cache. It was a bit trickier than i expected but a quick check of the hint quickly resulted in the find. TFTC
This was my first cache find after arriving in Christchurch for a week's holiday. It was late evening when I walked to this site but it was still very warm. My GPSr wasn't being very decisive so I had to check a few spots before I tracked down the nicely hidden cache. TFTC, Wombles B.J&T.
Out and about today with the Seagnoid knocking off some caches and Ad Labs around Christchurch. A quick find by tS. Thanks for the cache.
That Darn Bear and I parked on the road near the cache, found a shortcut through to the grass and she says "Darn, there's a muggle!" A bloke pushing his bike down the middle of the field! Why??? But he was almost level with us just as we entered the grass, so I said he will never see us. And he didn't. We crossed to the other side not far behind the oblivious muggle and soon found the power pole (lamp post?) was too close. Further in we found a likely place, with what must be a gazillion hides, so I was amazed when I found it in 10 seconds flat! Nicely hidden though. Just dumb luck on my part. Or skill. One of them.
Down from Whangarei for a week to visit children in Chch. This cache was one of the closest to our accommodation, so whilst the rest of the family caught up this morning, I went for a wander in the park. Once at GZ, it took quite a bit of searching the likely objects before I finally located the well hidden cache. Not exactly at GL but not that far above either. TFTC
Think I had the right tree but GPS bouncing around.couldn’t find anything. Sat on the tree stump awhile. Quite a few muggle dog walkers and golfers around so didn’t have the chance to have a really good look.
I would like to say it was a nice quick find but the trees had my gps jumping about and I got fixated on the wrong tree and wrong rype of foliage.
Once I widened my search and did a more methodical check I turned up the cache fairly smartly.
Thanks for this cache- a handy letter "A" for the March Spelling Challenge ️

Found along with a golf ball. A very neat find for my 200th find. It was a very overcast day for a visit to the beach while on holiday from the mighty Waikato. TFTC

Last day to get Signal out of the labyrinth. We are missing only 20 points. We started looking at a mystery, but couldn't find it, then we tried a multi, but started getting cold. We then decided to head to this one and easy found by little cacher, second time he looked (and touched) in the same place. Both container and logbook were in good condition. Park was quite soggy and a few trees had fallen recently . Thanks . It was quite appropriate as we got out of the swamp, as Signal. ..
Visited the pier, did the multi and thought one more cache..? why not... lovely park, Four wagging tails enjoyed the wee walk. TFTC!
I was very pleased to spot the hide quickly here. Nice hide it was too. TFTC # 17.513

Horray. Found the cache after walking past it multiple times. Very happy to make a find today while enjoying the beach and the library at New Brighton. Find #644
We were on a road trip with three of our grandchildren, geocaching was not the priority for this trip, rather it was showing them around some of the South Island, broadening their understandings of how amazing our country really is. The wind was not being so amazing though, especially for those of us travelling in high sided campervans.
We were spending a bit of time in this area, so I suggested we find this one on the way to the Brighton Pier. The youngest grandson was rather pleased with himself as he found a golf ball just before he found the cache. The log was signed and all was returned as we found it.
Thanks for placing this cache and thank you for the smiley.

Oh finding a few caches have exploring our environment here. We are spending two weeks here doing a pet sit and we live in California so this should be a nice warm visit for us thanks for the cash
My last cache for 2019. I'm glad this year is gonna be over in a few hours. The kids really like the playground nearby so it was easy to convince them to stop here after our visit to the Pier. My boy made the find and my girl got the log out and I signed it for all three of us. Thanks Wombles-BBT and happy caching for 2020.
Found!! Super cool spot, thanks! Brought my younger sister along, is her first ever cache!
Out for a caching evening with Angie33210, Everdeen22 and Mangoambs. This was the first on the list and Mangoambs was FTF. Sneaky hiding place, put follow the hint and it leads to the cache.
Yay good find. Good way to entertain younger son while oldest plays cricket
We had a massive look could not find it even a few people before us could not find it
No luck here. Pretty sure I had the right stump to sit on but couldn’t find the door. Tftc️
Couldn’t find it in the dark, seems like it’d be a easy find but have a look in the day
We have replaced this one and it's back in the original spot..With a new Hint..
