Found some great geocaches today in the Southern Highlands! Enjoyed the adventure and the beautiful scenery
Reperio 19:24Up early again this morning for a full day of caching around the Yass and Goulburn area, and fortunately the rain that hung around all day yesterday had mostly passed by. While the ground was still pretty wet, most of the caches were found in good order, which contributed to another great day caching in the area.Gratias The BushiesAs a well spent day brings happy sleep, a well spent life brings happy death - LDV
Goulburn Day 3 & have settled into the caravan park for the next few days. Our plan today was to head out of town to do the challenge cache series & then home via TallongDuring the day we stopped at a VC rest stop & also a few other caches that we passed along the way.A nice way to visit the town & area is by following the geocaching trailThanks The Bushies for hiding this cache.

Always nice to feel welcomed to a village! Container quickly located at GZ and all in good condition. Thanks, The Bushies!
Found with WaywardWoman while caching in the area. Signed log and returned as found. TFTC
#7115- We didn’t know this area was apple territory until we saw the sign a few caches ago. A nice quick find with thomo31 on jour first trail in the area today. Thanks
A nice find, though my GPS was jumping around a bit so there was initially some to-ing and fro-ing. Put some trinkets in to start the new container off.
Beautiful native flora in this area though a little further up the blackberry is trying to push through again.

With GreyHams we set off for an solid day of caching at a respectably early hour. Starting off local with a number of ladder climbs well overdue for finds and then off down the hwy for a series of challenge caches, puzzles and a few others as we passed. The virtual near Tallong was an unexpected delight, what an amazing location and an absolute highlight!
Flooding and closed creek crossings had a slight change to the route a few times but worked in our favour so no problems navigating it out. A bit of a cold grey day best for a day of caches like the ones we had targeted and as always an enjoyable day! Caches all found in good condition, on or close enough to the coordinates for easy finds, thanks for the cache!
Nice old cache... Nice little town!

The big apple didnt disappoint

Spent the day with Aquilus1 grabbing ladder caches near Mulligans before moving onto Goulburn to sign Challenge caches. Swollen rivers and closed roads made things a little interesting, but nothing too dramatic. Was amazed at the amazing views from the virtual south of Tallong, everyone should do that cache! Drive home even included a few labs and avenging a Wherigo FTF missed...in the dark.

The fires raging nearby simply ignited our passion to go geocaching. Thankfully, the fires are really a few kilometres away. We're passing through to support local businesses. Tftc

Here is a little information about me. I have been geocaching since March 2015. At the time of finding this trackable I have over 6750 finds plus 420 hides. I am the creator of the “Duck Dip” Lab Cache that won 2nd Place for the Australian Capital Territory in the State Vs State - Battle of the Lab Caches at the OzGeoMuster - The Gong Mega (GC7N7ZC) 2019 in Wollongong, Australia.

Now let’s talk Pathtags. Currently I have over 8400 plus Pathtags in my collection plus about 500 Extagz. I currently have two of my own Pathtags (45762 & 46950) with another one in the works.
As a bonus to reading this very long log, please feel free to discover my Virtual Trackable AR6QTT. Yes this is my Personal Virtual Trackable and I give permission for you to discover it. Please feel free to share my Virtual Trackable with every geocacher you know.
Happy Geocaching

DSD had a bunch of caches already found along this road, but this was the only one he was yet to add a smiley too! So I suggested we come for a visit and make the find!
Driving the wrong direction we did a quick u-turn at the next street and parked nearby. Initially thought it might be at the sign, but the GPS said otherwise and we soon located the well sized cache nearby.
Thanks for placing!

Found this one yesterday on a trip down to Tallong for the Santa Sabina open day. Vicky, whom I was with, was very impressed by this hide! The co-ords were pretty spot on here once they settled; the biggest challenge for me was to trust the GPS and not my misplaced ‘geosense’ around GZ!

After a busy December / January, we decided a trip to the highlands was in order. So after an early start, with Rapidlywild doing the driving honours we headed up the highway. A bit of rain made it quite pleasant, and the sun brought a bit of humidity, but it was a great day. We grabbed a couple of the trails, and was surprised on containers, some took a bit longer to locate than others. Thanks RW for a great day, and thanks to all the CO for the placements, we enjoyed collecting them.
Thanks The Bushies

Found today on our way back from Wingello event. KK and SG has already found it but not me so a quick search and find and back in the car to keep travelling. Thanks for getting us out and about.
My first ever find in this world wide game, SO COOL! I was so exited and if anyone saw me they would have thought i was crazy haha.
I only found out about Geocaching last night and then went out for a big walk in the morning the next day to go find it since i live in this town, who knew there would be some geocaches in the small town i live in!? The spot was not too hard but not like any normie could find it just walking eaither. I left some playing cards me and my siblings used to use as kids in there, hope they find someone to entertain.

And so day 2 dawns on our caching long weekend, the bodies somewhat weary from the crow adventure but not to be deterred we set off on another highland adventure. Loving our tour of the area thanks to caching. Surprise surpise, even on a quiet road you can meet a cacher. On approaching gz saw a bit of colour and movement and thought what the... sure enough it was a fellow cacher 'The stinks' brief friendly chat, cache signed and on we go. Tftc
While staying in a local Air B&B for the long weekend I went for a short stroll to pick up this one. Such a quiet area on a Sunday yet, while I was doing the paper work a vehicle pulled up only 10m. away. "What to do now", I thought but my dilemma was soon solved when it turned out to be some fellow cachers so after a friendly chat we went our separate ways. TFTC.
Another quick park and grab on the way through the town. Nice easy find on a beautiful day. TFTC!
F(H)ound it! #2664 @ 10:00 AM
I came up to Wingello before sun-up to check out some dog sports happening in the forest today. Picked up a few caches in Wingello and along Highland Way on the way home.
I found it not in the first, or the second, place I looked, but I still found it pretty quickly.
Thanks for the cache, Bushies

Found while taking a break from driving. I had an approximate idea of where this one was, so when I thought I was close I pulled over. Unfortunately my GPS hadn't warmed up, so I plugged the co-ords into my car GPS which told me I was there. Using caching senses I soon spotted the hide. TFTC.
#8182 - 17:05; I was on my way to Bowral for a meeting and decided to take the back road from Marulan and pick up a few caches along the way. Decided to give the nano a miss and headed straight through Tallong for this cache. Managed a safe park not far from GZ and made my way over where the cache soon revealed itself. TFTC The Bushies
We'd spent the night in Sydney over the Queen's Birthday long weekend, and were headed home to Canberra. Since we left so early, we decided to make a detour off the highway to find a few caches. We had a nice time, there were hardly any cars around, and no muggles to be seen.
A quick find just off the road. Took nothing, left something small. TFTC!

Having spent a nervous week waiting for results of my sister who is in hospital in Qld I've struck out to get a few caches and clear my head.
The day started out beautiful and clear but has come over a little cloudy. Hopefully rain will hold off as I make my way towards the coast.
I didn't know other places outside Barlow had apple harvest day festivals and it's coming up soon to. I shall have to make another visit.
This cache was quickly found in good condition. Tftc

#10 for today took us to Tallong this took a bit longer to locate than it should have but eventually we got the cache in hand. Lucky the people hadn't wanted to go out as we were parked in the driveway
Signed the log and replaced as found. Both the cache and log are in good condition. Thanks for the cache The Bushies

Well, that completes Tallong for us. Now next time I'll have to venture into Wingello.
My wife and I met up with bikerbuddy and Toriaz and had a day together in the Southern Highlands. This was our sixteenth cache.

I was expecting some sign here announcing this town was renowned for its apples. I think we parked in someone's driveway, but thanks to a quick find, we weren't there for long.

We did about forty caches in this region today and one thing I noticed was that cachers in this area favour old fruit containers for caches. It's often the case that cachers influence each other in an area. I wasn't aware that this area was known for its apples, but maybe it's the choice of cache containers? Thanks

Nice quick find with team_lewin and kingfisher_au while in goulburn for the gunning fireworks festival. Thanks for the cache.
Found 1:24 pm with geodaughter. I needed to head back to the coast from Canberra. I had been wanting to grab the caches along this road for some time after driving past this location so many times all those times being quite late and in the dark. This time decided to take the time out and grab the caches in the area. I am glad that I did, the lookouts nearby are awesome. We had already been to the first lookout and we had just come from the station looking to got Badgerys lookout when I saw this cache was also nearby so went to this first. After parking the geovehicle thought I had an idea where it could be but the GPS took me past it and then I found what I was looking for only then to confirm the size. I realised my first choice would not have hidden this size. I signed the log and dropped a couple more trinkets in for kids and then returned the cache to its hide.
Thanks for the cache.
Thanks for the cache.

With all day to travel to Sydney, Mrs Big Dad and I decided to grab some caches off the highway. This was number 6 of 13.
A quick stop and after it not being where I thought it would be, I kept going and found a familiar container in familiar surroundings. I really should read the descriptions carefully! TFTC, Bushies.

Visited Tallong today to look at a house for sale and saw there were some near by caches so grabbed them while I was here. TFTC.
Like finding these ones "welcome too" was a bit exposed but have placed back to more hidden place
Quick and easy find as it was out in the open. Placed in a slightly more secure and safe place.
Out to visit a venue in the southern highlands so a few caches to find as well.
Thanks The Bushies. I have found a few of yours over the years.
