Heading to Mt Pilot NP today to complete a few for caches around the Woolshed Valley. Wasn't sure what the tracks were going to be like after all the rain. But they werent to bad (the ones I was on anyway) few sketchy spots however.

Parked 100 odd meters away here. Interesting historic site. Spotted the old cart straight up (I think that's what it is) Looked at the wrong elevation for the cache, eventually worked it out !

Out and about with ILookedThere and they kindly slowed down enough for me to bail out of the Pajero and make a dash for this cache, sign the log and scramble back in time to dive onto the back door handle before picking up too much speed taking off for a cache they had not already found. Razz
You believe me right? Wink

TFTC Bingley3683 and thanks ILookedThere for allowing me to be your ballast for the day. Red FaceBig Grin

All caches handled and returned with sanitised hands and we didn't lick anything. [8)]

Lovely little spot. Wondering if the concrete a little further up was a dam?

Thanks heaps for the location

19-May-19
This was a new area for us. We spent a bit of time walking around checking out the creek and all the stuff around it. Looks like a dam wall had been built in the creek at some stage too. Found the cache but Piuquet Jnr wasn't game enough to reach for it. Very interesting area.. thanks for the cache Bingley.

I haven't been caching too much in the last few years, and subsequently I have been very lax in updating my cache logs. I am endeavouring to catch up by uploading my Garmin field note files! Apologies to the cache owners for my tardiness.

Found with the girls on a little drive up the mountain.

It was in plain view, but replaced and mirror would be helpful.

03-Apr-16
Out for a drive in the forest today and pick up a couple of caches.
The creek and the surrounds were very dry after the hot summer.
Cache was found,signed and replaced.
Thanks for the hide.

Great location. Walked up from Wooshed Road

18-Feb-14
I thought I would start the day with a nice drive through the National Park Smile
And it was a nice drive Big Grin
The cool of the morning was wafting in through the open windows of the geomobile, bringing with it all the sounds and smells of the forest Big Grin
Oh !! And the occasional fallen tree across the track Razz
Nothing that could not be cleared with a bit of elbow grease and a sturdy branch for leverage.

And by and by I arrived at the Dry Creek Mine site.
Hardly 4WD territory though !!
A '64 Kombie Van would make it here easy Smile
Or you could just walk Razz

Anyhoo, I soon found me a cache and celebrated by splashing some of the creek water on the geomobile to wash off the dust Big Grin
Only a token gesture though !!
By the time I get back to camp tonight, the geomobile will be covered in dust again Red Face

TFTC !!

HAHAHA!!!! Had to laugh while writing the log because we actually read the whole of the cache description. We came from Reedy Creek Road in the Lost Rocket (a VT Commodore) with Mrs. Lost Wanderer behind the wheel. Some incredible driving was needed to get up the rocky track but 1st gear is a wonderful thing. Mr. Lost Wanderer and Bexta only had to get out twice to move fallen branches off the road. Thanks for the cache Bingley in another great place.

P.S. Took the track back to Old Coach Road on the way back.

08-Sep-12
This one took us on a bit of a rocky start out with the Lost Wanderers. We cleared the odd tree from the road, had an exciting drive. It was all good, took the tamer drive out of the area. TFTC

Nice quick find on a awesome day for a drive. Can see plenty of motor bikes love this area. Drove as close as 18 meters to GZ. Found with troobloo SL TNLN T4TC

02-Sep-12
Whilst out on a drive with Coruze through the woolshed valley spotted this cache on gps and we decided to try to find it. Enjoyed the drive to gz and took the time to have a look around. Interesting to see evidence of the corrugated iron boxing that was used in construction of the wall. The track today was in good nick so we managed to get to approximately 15 metres of the hide.

Thanks again Bingley3683

Really nice spot by the creek. We thought the road was about to run out on us before we got there, but it opened up again.
First things first, we grabbed the cache. We didn't need a small mirror (we all know what we look like! Smile)
Stopped for lunch before continuing on.
Thanks, Robmc.

Great day for a 4wd. Drove to within 10m of GZ since it was raining. The creek was still dry even with the rain. TFTC

Finally got this one off our list, lovely site and the track up the other side was interesting to say the least. wandered around the area for awhile and enjoyed the view, TNLN TFTC

Found on a 13 km walk with Murray Valley Bushwalkers. Starting the walk at Kangaroo Crossing,we met a little dog along Kangaroo Track. The dog followed us for at least 10km. Near GZ the dog almost immediately sniffed out the hiding place! Great spot for a cache in a great area! TNLN. TFTC.

Find 3 of 3 today on a quick caching run to fill a couple of hours. Great little spot and we loved trying to figure out what all the debris laying around was from TFTC

#1599 Found on a quite afternoon caching following a maintenance run on a couple of our own (and bumping into yourself Big Grin). This was a really interesting area and since we were here in the daylight we could see some of the relics Wink, most notably an old fridge. The creek wasn't dry today, trickling away. Thanks Bingley3683 for bringing us to this historic site that we would have missed otherwise. [^]

Found in the company of DJ Rascal on a late arvo/evening cache whilst Mrs H & J were off doing the ghost tour!
Was a bit dark to explore the area too much - but we'll be back - often visit these parts of the bush.
Many thanks for another great spot for a cache.

2nd to find at 4pm on Mother's Day. What a great little spot - might bring our camper trailer and stay the night around here. Enjoyed our drive along Reedy Ck Rd. GeoPa just happened to have his goldpan with him, so had a bit of fun on the edge of the Creek - a few specks were sighted.Big Grin We haven't been in this part of the Chiltern Mt Pilot NP before so TFTC and the chance to do a little exploring here. Took: Mexican coin Left: Oink GC. We would be interested to know a little more history of the Dry Creek Mine too!

When the alert went off for this one i was still at work.
I had no idea what locals were going out for the FTF on this one, so i was not sure if i was in with a chance or not.Smile.
After getting to within 80metres of GZ a quick walk was required, soon after the cache was in hand, and a "White Blank Page" was found Big Grin ............FTF.
Many thanks to Bingley3683 for a nicely hidden cache.
