The hiding spot is gone - park is way too well manicured to hide again. Soz geocachers!
Crawled under most plants, but with this many dnf's in a row time for some owner attention.
I had a pretty good look for it, but all I found was the damage to some of the plants (which one hopes was muggles not geocachers...) and not the cache.
with the clue, it tells you there is no trampoling on plants.
but i found with the co-ordinates it was closer to the back fence.
after several minutes of looking. and several muggles with doggymuggles.
i left.
thanks odoylerulz. iii be back. [:x]

Coords lead in to back of bush area which would require ample climbing over and trampling of gardens so did not attempt
Firstly, great park and full of muggles including the barking kind. We DNF, not sure if it is because the GPS on the iphone is not too reliable or we just didnt look hard enough. we didnt venture in to the garden bed as according to the clues is indicates there is no need to. Reading some of the past post, it may have been moved or put into the garden bed. too many people here today to explore it futher. Will try again another day. Lets just hope we find it then. A new GPS is on its way. WE may have better luck with it.
This is one of 11 finds and 3 DNFs on a night caching run with Julz76.
Unfortunately this was a DNF. We searched for a while in the garden bed but it was like looking for a needle in a haystack in the dark as previous logs had indicated that it wasn't at the co-ords indicated. Decided after a while to move on to another cache in our run.

Took longer than i should have looking for this, found it on it's side on the ground, put it back there but not sure where it's supposed to be. TFTC.
I was caching in Bentleigh today after going to Alfred Hospital for some research. Many long walks oh what a tiring day. 11 finds and 1 DNF but a good day all the same. The weather was lovely, not a drop of rain which was good cause the rain would've cut short my run.
This was one of the caches that I found today. There were some muggles at the nearby shelter. I snuck in the bushes when they weren't looking. After coming from the right side, carefully ducking down to search and trying not to make much noise and movement, I still couldn't find the cache. I read the logs and realised that the cache has been moved. Looked around abit for another 5 mins but could not see anything. I knew it was still there from the previous log so I approached from the left side instead when the coast was clear. Little by little I moved closer to the centre where I eventually found the cache. After signing it, I returned it back closer to where it was originally supposed to be so that the next finder wouldn't have such a hard time as I did (what a nice guy I am ) Once I replaced it, I had to duck down and sit quietly while waiting for 2 muggles to cross. Fortunately, they didn't see me or else there would be quite a lot of explaining to do. TFTC

While on one of my regular trips to the SE suburbs to visit family, I was also grabbing a few caches on the way. I'd read the logs for this one and was hopeful that I wouldn't have to put any garden beds in danger - so I was a bit disappointed when I got to GZ and saw where the arrow was pointing - and that there seemed to be a fair amount of dameage to some of the shrubbery. I didn't want to contribute to it, but couldn't resist taking a few cautious steps and peering around in an attempt to spot the cache - which I was lucky enough to accomplish without adding to the damage.
TNLN
Thanks O'DoyleRulz - maybe things have changed around there, as I don't think the hint really applies.

Spent a long time trying to not look to obvious as there was at least 50 muggles all around the rotunda celebrating something big. Anniversary? It was a case of not being able to look so I departed.
Found with Crazy! Nat Girl on another of our Sunday morning cache runs. This was a nice park to visit. TFTC

A LOT of new work here, and no tell tale plant of difference, so I guess the previous finders were right.
The cache is well hidden, but does require navigating around the bushes.
thanks O'DoyleRulz

I must have kicked the cache without noticing - this is how close I was to it. Found in the end by Alansee. Left a TB, and discovered another that was picked up by Alansee. TFTC
Lots of dog muggles on the oval and we were presented with an unsavoury sight on first getting out of the car! At GZ lochb went to the obvious spot with no success. After a few minutes searching I got lucky and found the cache pretty close to the same spot although with no obvious item to locate it with.
Found on a night caching with Burge and Scarecrow_01. Very quiet corner of the park. Nighttime so there was no one around but I can see how this would be a great park during the day. TNLNSL. TFTC.
Found tonight after a bit of a search. Luckily, it was late enough for the area to be free of muggles, and the low setting on my torch wouldn't have attracted any attention from anyone some distance away. Thanks for the cache.
After a very long stroll around the park which is brilliantly paved btw, we finally got to gz. After a quick observation we saw the plant that stood out and one of the kids said it looked like a bean stalk. We looked around and finally Jack found the cache....which was his first find. TFTC Dropped off a trackable...thanks again.
Made an early morning grab on this one with only one dog walker around. This is a lovely manicured park - it is no neat. I can see that it would be a very popular place. Thanks O'DoyleRulz for the cache.

I only had a few minutes to search for this and I came up trumps quickly luckily. Thanks O'DoyleRulz.

A few people have noted about its location - please note it may very well be IN the garden bed but not in a plant, nor do you have to step on any plants to get to it. I've updated the listing to reflect this.
Looked for a fair while but no luck. We were starting to make our make so we gave it up. Maybe another time.
Thanks O'DoyleRulz - Nice park.
(PS If you don't need to go into the garden bed, you probably should say so.)

Very nice park that I'd never been to before - thanks for showing me it, and thanks for the cache.
Found by The Empire @ 4:10am
3rd of 12 caches after the 3am WWFM8 flash mob in Glen Iris.
Not sure if the camo is still on this one, found pretty easily via torchlight. Looks like a very manicured park, would be nicer in the daylight. Thanks for the cache, O'DoyleRulz.

Found 15:20, at last a cache not surrounded by Muggles.
TNLN, CSI=2, thanks O'DoyleRulz.

The clue helped as I could see where others had been and broken plants.
I wasn't going there!
Very wet in here today after last night's moisture

We found this cache today at 3:30pm as the 15th of 21 on our "Places I'd Been Before" Ramble near the Bay. This was a huge and well maintained park and the most surprising thing is that it has never held a cache (at least to my knowledge) until now. Thanks from D & H B-A.
Found with Wild Josh today. We tried to find it last night but it was a bit hard in the dark to pick the different plant. Thanks O'doylerulz
Found with draw four today. we rode our bikes here this afternoon. we tried this one last night but couldn't find it.

Well I came back after my failed attempt a week ago, and this time I found it straight away.
I wonder if trailrunner had it at the rotunda when I was last here during the rain storm. Either that or it was buried too much for me to see in the rain and hail.
Anyway, I signed the log and retrieved the Travelling to the Games TB, which is still in the hands of Wild Josh according to the records at GC.com. He's possibly still out in the field and hasn't recorded his visit here today yet.
I'll wait until he logs it in before I log it out so it gets recorded as being here.
WE used to come to this park every Sunday morning about 12 years ago with Jessie to attend dog training when she was a pup. She came with me today and neither of us recognised the place which has undergone some fantastic improvements in the last few years. Before it was just a plain park, but now it has paths, landscaping, a space age toilet, barbecues, all sorts of amusements for kids, wow!
Thanks for bringing us back here with this cache.

Found @ 1:05pm, Find # 863.
After a short stroll from the car, we found ourselves in front of a garden bed, so after a moment we went for the clue and after the GPSr had settled we finally found the hide.
Thanks to O'DoyleRulz for the cache.

Fairly easy find by S after playing snakes and ladders nearby. Took TB Left TB x 2. TFTC. KemS
Quick find using the clue. Almost a drive-by except for the short walk from the car. Great location! TFTC
Found @ 2345 with SirJ-Oz after resorting to the clue - definitely a case of 'couldn't see the wood for the trees'. TNLNSL-TFTC.
Found @ 23:45 with AmethystPig. Piggie found it, while I went wrong. Dropped trackable. TNSL TFTC.

In my lunch break I had to drive to Sandringham to pick up a recent canoe purchase, so stopped by this park and oval to find a cache as well. What a beautiful looking park, very clean and tidy. I thaught I would have trouble with muggles here as there was a group of them under the rotunda. Fortunately they all seemed to be looking the other way, so I was able to make the fast find and replace without being seen.

Met up with Dunko after work for a short cache run in the rain, proved to be a quick find TFTC SL
Decided to head out tonight in the cold and rain and do some caching. A night like tonight would definitely be muggle free (perfect caching weather) as any normal person would be snuggled up in a nice warm bed. Parked the car and walked the 125m across the park to GZ where I spent about ten minutes looking for the cache. Eventually found it and signed the log. Found at 3:50am and last find for the night. Back home to my own nice warm bed for a few hours sleep. TFTC.
When I got there it had begun to rain.
Found an area matching GPS and clue and began to search.
The more I searcghed the wetter I got, as the plants are pretty thick and they were very wet by this time.
Then the rain kicked up a few notches, and a bit of hail got mixed in too.
The elements got the better of me and I took my leave.
As Arnie says "I'll be baaaackkkk"

Found quickly on my way home. Absolutely pouring with rain so grabbed cache container and signed under rotunda. TFTC. SL.
After an extremely early and cold morning at Cabrini with EB Nano, we decided to do this on the way home.
Again, I relied on just the iPhone as the gpsr was at home (the things you forget when you tear out of the house at 5am) and it had me searching an area about 20 metres away.
After about 15 minutes I returned to the car having failed.
Bl**dy iPhone, I exclaimed.
EB99 calmed me with some good advice and rather heading for home in a funk and a sulk and went back for another look.
Eventually I found the nice large container but no thanks to the iPhone
Thanks O"DoyleRulz for the fun!!

1625 - going for a run, so thought I might get a FTF on behalf of our kids (who are at a birthday party!) - but beaten to it - fair enough!
Thanks for taking us back to a nice park, will bring the littler geokid back for a go of the giant snakes and ladders game!

The Solomonfamily anf dalekdude2010 family were having a great day looking for a puzzle cache which have not yet got. none the less after a great bbq lunch at dalekdude2010's place, I headed out with Mrs dalekdude2010 to try find gz for another multi that they needed to finish. We were just finishing off and about to head back to the puzzle when mrs dalekdude2010 exclaimed a new published cache - only 6km away. Off we went caculating the quickest route and soon arrived. A very quick search later and the cache was very quickly in hand. We contenplated hanging around for others but then decided we had other caches to find.
Our thanks to O'DoyleRulz

As mentioned by YugiTea559 there is a great snakes & ladders game nearby for the kiddies.
Also should mention that this is situated in Hodgson Reserve, not Bentleigh reserve as the name suggests. The two reserves used to be seperated by a fence but are now connected through various path.s
