Nice hide Can't find it with all the swamp around.
surprised we didn't find Shrek & Fiona here, not the best place for geokids

Mighty Midget and I pulled the plug on this one due to the absolute wealth of bog in the vacinity.
I wish someone could have shown Biggles Bear #1 and I the way. The whole area was underwater. It was like a swamp. Perhaps it's like this always. But where-ever we walked we sank into inches of mud and water.
While our GPSs led us around in circles, we followed but failed to find it. After quite some time, we abandoned for greener (and drier) pastures. Thanks for bringing us here. Perhaps we'll be back in drier times.

Found this after a lengthy search. Unfortunately the container was broken and laying in a puddle. It looks like a person or big roo has knocked it over. I put it together best I could but it could do with fixing up. Super idea for a cache though!

I had been in this reserve on the weekend, during a spot of night caching, but had decided to skip this one at the time. So I came back on my way to work this morning. Navigating through the bush dressed for office work proved interesting, but I got there, and soon found GZ. Very apt name and description for this cache. Signed the log and continued on to work. TFTC, walenators!

Together with Liz and Bruce, we had a day on the ‘other’ side of the bay. This was one of the many other caches that popped into range as we endeavoured to conquer the Jack Speak series in one day.

Not having visited the Mornington Peninsula before we were excited when Phetlern suggested a caching day in this locality. We made an early start and caught the 7am ferry and booked our return on the 7pm ferry. If little is achieved without enthusiasm - we were not going to fall into that category. We had our list organized (most of them walenators caches) and came prepared to do as many of the Welcome to and Jack Speak caches as we could. The weather was not too kind but again enthusiasm did not wane and we ventured into the rain. Luckily several of the caches were under trees. The afternoon saw the sun shining down on our activities. What a beautiful area this is to cache in. Thanks walenators we enjoyed this creative hide.
This morning G&MMelb headed off on a bike ride to collect the rest of the Jack Speak caches and a couple of extras as an added bonus and the plan was for JMelb to meet them at Lornas Triangle Reserve to do the caches there. JMelb got ready to leave after about half an hour or so and then realised she couldnt find her car keys. Much hunting and phone calls to G&M determined the only place they could be was IN the car or they were completely lost.... well as it turned out luckily they had fallen out of her bag in the car but it meant she missed out on the fun of these caches
G&M enjoyed the ride and the opportunities to stop!! lol The bikes were from the holiday house and M's bike didnt have many gears which meant he had to pedal almost twice as much as G and was very tired afterwards but they both enjoyed it all the same
MMelb rang me when they got there and said there were caches calling out to me to come and get them lol and they described this one and how much they enjoyed it, maybe we'll go back tomorrow evening for them to show me as we're busy all day tomorrow!
TFTC walenators - a fave point from us

This was the 8th cache of 38 today. Mr Crackers was busy working so Mrs Crackers joined Mr Coffee and the Coffee Clan for a day caching on the Peninsula mainly with the intention of doing the Jack Speak series which we had solved not long after it was published but hadn't had an opportunity to visit until today. We managed to find 15 other caches as well so all in all a good day. This was possibly our longest walk for the day and of course it had started to drizzle so we were very happy when we found the unusual container very quickly
My thanks to walenators for the cache.

Out today with Team Crackers to see if we could break our record of 48 caches in one day. It all made sence once we were at gz.

Caching on the peninsula with lochb and coley_babee to help Lisa from the walenators celebrate their birthday.
Wasn't quite sure where to park for this one, but we parked at the side of the road a short distance from the round about.
Haha, I think this one would be cool to see at night time, but today the only option for us was in daylight.
We needed to fix the logbook so it was in the correct place.
Thanks again the walenators.

It took us a while to reach GZ but in the end PrincessDiala, coley-babee and I were smiling at the cache container. Nice one. TFTC

Team up with good mate ahomburg for a cache run down the Mornington Peninsula (Hastings area) to attend Mrs Walenators Birthday event at Crib Point.
Having attended the event it was time to hit the caches in this great area and this was the 3rd find. This was the 2nd cache found in this reserve with a light animal track or geo trail which was followed somewhat to GZ. At GZ the cache was soon found and do love the attention to detail on this one. TFTC Walenators for another fun cache.

Difficult for me to get around this area wearing my cam walker boot, but perseverance got me into this one, and following slowly behind lochb and PrincessDiala.
got to GZ, looking around, and I noticed something very out of place, and I distinctly also remember being shown this cache by the Walenators one very wet evening at the Walenators house sometime last year before it was even a functional cache.
Made quick work of this before continuing on

I got up today ready for a big day fo caching. I was picked up nice and early buy my caching mate sedgwickdave for a caching run down on the Mornington Peninsula with the main goal of attending the Mrs Walenators Birthday event at Crib Point.
Onto the last hide in this park, we headed cross country again until we reached the road, then headed along towards the round a bout and back into the park where we managed to find a very well camoed cache. Very nice disguise. TNLN.
Thanks again to walenators for the hide.

Indeed, when I did get to GZ I did wish that I had done it at night. Never mind - next time! Thanks walenators.
Found by Mary & David at 1310. Came at this one from the wrong side en route from the other cache in the reserve. The coordinates were spot-on, so turned around at GZ and there it was! A novel container that explained the cache name. Our thanks as usual to walenators.

Wet, dirty feet... awesome cache! Great camo, this hide gets a favourite point! Thanks for the cache, walenators.

So....nice warm sunny day and the wet squishy mud was not what i was expecting. The Empire had to listen to some whinging here and he got some laughs as we tried to step in the not so squishy parts. Made the find. Nice cache. Went back to the car and took my shoes off....my feet were bathing in mud. Mud is good for your skin right???? lol

Found this cache with geokids, kidcorza and geobub. what a fascinating hide, walked straight past it (although i was watching where i was putting my feet due to all the rain we have had). Went for a walk around the rest of the reserve when the heavens absolutely opened up, pouring, track was going in the wrong direction so we bushbashed out to the road, and had a 150 mtrs back to the car, fully soaked. We all laughed and spoke about it all the way home. This is what lifes all about. Thanks for the cache and the ingenious hide. BWbandit
its weird stop on the road...fence bend...so we walk hope its right....finally found it. i ever see that before caches ...good one...with crank1
I was expecting a bit of a tricky find after reading previous logs but everywhere has dried up nicely. Quick and easy find but the mozzies were pretty fierce.

Even though our approach took us closer to GZ, we went down to the gate, and started on the track. It was good for most of the length, but then it turned into mud - glad it hadn't rained recently!
We weren't sure about the night time comment until we found the cache.
Interesting container.
Thanks, Robmc.

After reading the last 2 logs we guessed that the cache was now back in its rightful place.
We followed the good path from the gate and then into the muddier area surrounding the cache.
Took a bit of finding and all of a sudden there it was.
I can see why it might have more of an effect after dark.
Thanks

I was a bit dubious about this one after the TrailRunning log, but made my way through the swamp to GZ by carefully treading on hummocks and fallen timber. Once there, there was no point in searching - it was just too swampy and, apart from getting wet feet, the damage to the ground cover would be unacceptable in the condition it's currently in. I had a reread of the last log and decided that the cache wasn't at GZ anyway (if TrailRunning found it some distance away, why didn't he post some co-ords for it???). Anyway, even though I see it got found on the same day I was there, I think it should be checked out and disabled until the ground dries out. A hint would also serve to protect the environment a bit for this type of hide.
Thanks anyway walenators

This one was the coolest for the day.. although the Cache was about 30m from its normal location not sure why but we placed it back in it's position. Found it just on dark.
Thanks
Thanks
So with a day off from work, what is a cacher to do? Or the question should really be, which direction? In this case … south. I motored on down the Eastlink, past Frankston and kept to the French Island side of the area and nabbed about 30 caches for the day. At one point I nearly gave up in frustration as a number of caches appeared to be MIA or poorly positioned allowing search areas of 200m2 for small well camouflaged caches in bushland!!! Anyway after a coffee and a nice toastie, all was good and I was back on track for another good day of finds. What a horrible place to search!!! I jumped out of the car, and once in the bush neary trod on human excrement. I then trudged through waterlogged ground to the GZ location to find nothing. An when I gave up hope I walked out to find the cache sitting on the side of an embankment nowhere near where I expected it to be. I signed the log, and put the cache back together. I'm not sure how long this one is going to last, but at least I can say I've logged it. Cheers walenators for another cache.
Nice bit of bush. Got our feet a bit wet. But when we found the cache had a good laugh, tftc
Another find during a great mornings caching with Sikma. Ground was very soggy under foot and the cache log was quite damp but still managed to be able to sign it. TFTC!
Hey guys, back in victoria and back into cacheing. VMT for the cache. When I found it the rain had just stopped. I found the log was soaked and could not write on the paper. Very clever cache, loved it. Remember.....landrovers rule!
kind regards,
J. J.

We followed the CO to this cache while Daylight Dave and his son's torch lit up the bush like a solar flare. A meandering path brought us to the cache which unfortunately did not display its full wares.
Brought in a zip lock bag for the log
Thanks walenators for the cache.

was in the area and decided to do this one on the way home as night was falling. cache was easy to spot but didnt take a torch which made spotting all the water impossible thus ended up with very wet feet. its times like this i wish i had wings just so i could float nicely above the water and grab the cache. one day im sure someone will invent them. until then tftc
in the dark its a bit squishy and squelchy, and the log book may need a zip lock bag for whoever finds it next as its a bit wet inside, but otherwise intersting cache TFTC
We found this cache today at 2:30pm as the 22nd of 29 on our Hastings and Area Caching Day. A very cool cache hide but oh, so squelchy. Glad I had the waterproof boots on as the water level was an inch deep around the cache site. Thanks from D & HA B-A.
Found @ 1620. Still having a giggle at this one. Great even though I did it in daylight. TFTC

Down Bittern way and thought I'd try this one. Arrived later than I'd planned but still probably 5 mins before nightfall. This was probably just as well as I was trying to pick a dry path on fallen branches (only partially successful)when I arrived at approx GZ. Didn't spot cache immediately as 95% of effort was going into keeping feet as dry as possible. When I did spot it couldn't believe I didn't see it earlier -but then , if I'd arrived later.... Maybe a surf ski and paddle tied up nearby would help in wet weather ...... TFTC SL.
On a day where I was lucky enough to be picked up by the cache owner today for a days run before heading to the Chase the Cache event thigny tomorrow morning. As we started a spiral outwards (I am going with that as I was lost after the first three turns).
Arrived at GZ and I can see why this one would be so much better at night! Fantastic cache that really set the tone for the day
Thanks for the cache walenators

before going to be I put my cache bag out ready to run. My wife found it amusing and said it was a waste of time, every time I put my bag out a new cache does not turn up... Well theUmp showed her.. Well into the book I was reading on my Kindle when the phone went of with the sound of a SMS. The screen showed 'Bittern' so without even looking further I jumped out of bed, put on the cloths that where ready to go, took a little bit of time to find a hat (still could not find it) and headed out the door. I had a nice run to GZ and arrived to find 2 cars already there. I headed into the bush and before long found Quasar3671 coming out. I congratulated him on beating me for a change. I feel bad every time we catch up and he tells me about the dreaded red stamp he found 'the other day'. Oakeydog flowed him from out of the bush and they followed me into the find to see my reaction. We headed back to the cars and had a chat. Soon Hazey1 turns up and we walk in again (to establish a good geotrail) and to watch the reaction of Hazey1. Back to the cars and more of a chat before parting ways. Thanks for the new caches in the area. Love this hide. Can't wait to see what else you have in store.

Well it was a close game of footy on TV and a close FTF hunt, very exciting stuff [:p]
Arrived at suggested carpark with no other cars to be seen, took a track I thought was the right way then doubled back and found the right way, I then saw head lights near where I parked. By the time I had made it to GZ and had gotten over my surprise [:0] Quasar had arrived hot on my tail for a joint FTF
After quite a bit of fumbling we finally got cache back together and were heading back to the car, more torch lights this time Covert. After following C@H to GZ to see his reaction we then end up back at the carpark having a chat when Hazey turned up. Ok let all go have a laugh at Hazeys reaction
Thx Walenators for a fun night out and the slightly off centre cache

I was just heading out the door to get some bread when the alert came through, a new cache just past Bittern. I thought might as well give it a go as i'm actually ready to go so headed south from home. GPS first sent me down Henderson's Road which is a dead end road that ends just before South Beach Road where the Reserve was so I had to do a U-turn and fly 3km back around the block. Arrived at the car park to see a car already there and torch light just on the other side of the fence. Unplugged the GPS from the car power supply to have the GPS go dead - flat batteries. A mad fumble for new batteries, dropped the car keys, had to find them then jumped out of the car and followed the arrow to GZ where I met Oakydog. We both marvelled at the cache before signing the log and reassembling it. Just as we started making our way back out C@H suddenly emerged from the dark. We followed him back to the cache then back to the cars for a chat when Hazey1 arrived. We decided to follow Hazey1 back to the cache before heading back to the cars for a good ol chat then went on our seperate ways. Thanks Oakdog for the joint FTF and Walenators for a enlightening cache.
TFTC, a great container, made me laugh. Saw this pop up and after deciding whether i should or shouldn't go; i decided i wanted a late night walk. Arrived at Carpark and it sure was a carpark, 3 other cars (c@H, Oaky, Quasar); had a quick chat and they followed me in to the cache; a quick find.
