Went back past again with a strong hint from a previous finder. I'm sure I was looking in the right place. Checked, and checked again. I'm thinking muggled.... Can CO check it out?
Hmmm... This one's got us stumped. CO can you swing past and just tell us if we missed it?

Had a decent sniff around this one with the geoPooch. Unable to find it as lots of muggles around. Will have to come back with GeoHubby to provide cover.
Found it on a wet and wild day in orange. Log is almost full sorry had no paper on me
6709 + 834 = 7543. Found during a great weekend caching in the Bathurst region with Sol de Lune.
In Orange now. Well - normally we approach this type of hide with dread - but with a fence surrounding the Gun it was a quick find ! Very happy with that ! Signed and then we were off to the next one.
Thanks again JuniorNsiveti !!

As discussed with my caching mate, fitzy_1965, we decided that all field guns should have a BIG fence around them.......that way the only place to hide a cache is away from it. Don't like our chances of that happening though....
Thanks for bringing down to see this one...a very pleasant caching experience. I'm giving a fav point for the hide. Cheers JuniorNsiyeti.......

Another quick one for this cold day in orange, been meaning to do this one for a while now, the postie gave me a funny look when he ride by. TFTC
I approached this one with some trepidation as I have completed quite a few caches around structures like these. There are soo many hiding places. Luckily this was a relatively easy on in the end. Thanks JuniorNsiyeti for your cache.
Was walking to this one from another cache on my 21km walk around Orange today and thought ok a gun. I got to gz and my gps had mme right on the cache and made a quick find TFTC
This one had us stumped for a little while but we figured it out by process of elimination. The kids loved the gun. TFTC.
Hooray !! [^][^][^][^][^][^]
A micro cache on, or near, or maybe somewhere near by, a gun that I could find
I knew where the cache was hidden before reaching GZ
But I took the time to read the plaque and for once admire a beautifully restored example of this piece of artillery that should be very familiar to most addicted geocachers [:o]
Why can't all these shell poppers be this well painted, free of cobwebs and have nice shiny, inflated tyres ?
Pity that I didn't have to search it though
But I left with a smile on me dial when I reached into my predicted cache hiding place and found it straight away

Thought I had already logged this one in
Great day had to go back after local energy workers lopped some trees

Found on a day of caching in the Orange District.
This was a nice quick find. I was so glad that this cache wasn't hidden on the gun.

Back in Orange for out annual visit and I went to grab my nearest unfound to our cabin. Was surprised to see a CO based in Sydney with a cache out here even though they seen to have left the game. In any case I knew what to look for and made an instant find. Signed and replaced. Thanks.
Here in Orange for the weekend, had a bit of time for a cache or two, I'm not normally excited about micro on guns and my first pass didn't work, so studied the logs and expanded my search and this proved successful
It's late in the afternoon the cold rain is falling.
Out we jump to grab another Cache.
Nice hide, Signed the log and dashed back to the vehicle.

Found my 100th geocache this 2013 Australia Day long weekend, but I'd never logged any of my finds. So I decided now is an opportune time to do so!
This was cache #45, found on a caching afternoon in Orange. TFTC!

As we drove towards this cache we thought "not another gun!". When we got close we were relieved as there wasa fence around the gun with a locked gate. the cache was not on the gun. As we searched around we could not find a location in the immediate area of GZ that was consistent with the hint. We then widened our search area and an object of interest was noted. Closer inspection of this object revealed the cache in a very good hide. TFTC JuniorNsiyeti.
It is amazing how many teenagers (school students) walk past GZ on their way to sport at 1pm in the afternoon!!
Eventually they all went on their way and so did the Telstra man.
Cache was eventually located, however had I missed it on the first 3 runs at GZ! Found only after I had returned to geomobile for the second time and put on warmer clothing, then decided to have just one more try!! Got it!
Edited because I had the date wrong!

After reading that cache had been found we went for another look and yes we were looking in the wrong place. Better luck this time we found it. TFTC
Had a good look but couldn't find the cache, found black pen on ground and wondered if it had been muggled
Went back after reading it had been found and sure enough we wern't looking in the right place, found it quickly on 2nd visit. TFTC

The hardest part was waiting for the stream of students and teachers from the nearby school to wander past on the way to the basketball courts. It was nice to see the gun there. TFTC
Lots of teenage muggles going by to play sport, but once they were out of sight we found this one fairly quickly. TFTC
Found during a drive around town after work. The cache and gun were still there for me. Thanks JuniorNsiyeti.
Our 5523rd overall find.
I was a bit nervous as I approached the GZ for this one as spotted the locked gate. It is a bit disappointing the damage that has been done to parts of the fence looking for the cache. In the end I made a simple find.
Thanks JuniorNsiyeti for the cache.

Found while staying near by for the big race. The gun is nowhere to be seen, only a concrete pad. Guess the locals must be fixing it up. TFTC
P.S. Should you find a wedding band near this one let me know as it is mine.

Orange 11. With no gun here at the moment, there were not many places that have been here long enough to hold a cache. Fortunately it was in that spot as it was bucketing down rain. Thanks.

Like Code1, this was the first place we searched too. Also like Code1 said we wonder if it will ever be replaced.

The Cannon is being painted at the moment. Read it in the local paper, will be back soon.
Nice quick find in the most likely spot late at night. Wonder where the cannon has gone and when/if it will return.

STF!! Just curling up in my PJ's & th tv remote & I check my email to find a cache published 3 hours ago - and still nothing logged. Quickly changed into appropriate caching clothes & off into the chilly night air with heart in mouth for an elusive FTF? Parked car & made find - took my treasure away from the scene to register an FTF, low & behold - EMANT!!! had found it probably just minutes before & still on his way home to log it. Well done Emant, & Thanks JuniorNsiyeti for the cache.
