Found this while looking for the "One for Geckoh" cache. Only 2 metres away. Mrs S said "here it is". Mr S said, "it can't be. I have it in my hand"
As the cache is archived, we took the little critter home. Do you want him back Geckoh?
Cheers.

Another great Geckoh cache. Really love the container type used.
Thanks for another cache during another summer. This gets a fav from me. ..,
Thanks to the Cache Owner who has gone to the trouble of creating this cache, determining the coordinates and then averaging them to make sure they are accurate, placing the cache and registering it online for our enjoyment. Without Cache Owners doing their bit, there wouldn't be a fun hobby that we all love - so again a big THANK YOU. For our bit, all we need to do is find and log the cache that was carefully placed for our personal enjoyment. As we log it we should consider that the Cache Owner also needs to maintain it - when the log sheet fills up, they must replace it. When the container becomes full of water, they need to empty it. When the container is broken, they need to repair it. When it goes missing they need to find or replace it. Well..... the great news is we can do our bit too - make sure your log doesn't take an entire page - just a name and date. If full of water, empty and dry the cache as best as possible. Be careful when handling the cache and make sure you replace it where you found it. If it has a bag, seal it. Just remember - the Cache Owner showed respect to you by placing the cache - please respect them and fellow cachers that follow you by being careful with the cache. And if you have a spare log sheet and the cache you are at needs one, please leave it behind. Finally, if the cache does need maintenance, please let the Cache Owner know - you can log a Maintenance Log or you can drop a line to the Cache Owner. Above all - have fun and remember the Geocaching Code.

Found it fast and easy. Unfortunetely we hadn't a pen, so we weren't able to write our visit down...

A dam good view indeed. Cache blended in well to its surroundings but it wasn't quick enough to scurry away from a determined searcher. Starting on the second side of the log now. All nice and dry. TFTC

Passing the dam to check whether a forestry road has been reopened to hunters when I noticed that I had an unfound cache here. Not sure how this has happened because I remember the spot and the cache for obvious reasons. Got a little fright both times, but my name wasn't on the log sheet - very strange. But all good now and enjoyed the view of the dam again. TFTC
Lovely view from here of an interesting dam I've never visited before. I have to admit that even though I half expected to find what I did, I still took a sharp intake of breath when I saw the cache, and looked at it carefully before retrieving. He took a rest in a tree while I unravelled and signed the log.
Great spot for a view of the earth dam.
Saw the cache in it's hidey hole then as I reached in to grab it it bit me! Actually it didn't bite me but there is a dead spikey plany closeby that did.
Many thanks

A great spot to get a view of the dam, first time down this road so exploring new territory.

It didn’t take too long to find yet another creature from Geckoh’s menagerie. TFTC
Change of scenery... Out in the Eastern Bay. Had a mixed result this afternoon. A bit disappointing to log a few DNFs on this adventure.
Found the cache. Was expecting to find something hideous... not so. Still had to give it a prod to test. Very good camo. TFTC.

From N. Ireland. On a world tour. On our way to Ohope Beach, and thought we'd get the easy caches en route. Only just realised that we missed a few simple ones at the time. Never mind. Loved the container and the view. TFTC
Dam good place for a cache and a neat surprise when we located the hide. Have found some similar hides in Australia & gave them a poke first to check them out TFTC.
Was here about a year ago when that deer by the entrance must have been dumped. Bones now.TFTC
Stopped by to try and find this one. Very creative with some great views of the dam. TFTC. Signed log as TS1.

No mistaking that as a Geckoh cache. Tried my best to keep the log dry on a very wet day! TFTC.
3.55pm - Have been to this location once before looking for a cache, this time we found a different one. SL,TFTC.
A great hide thankyou. We loved this novel cache!
This has to go down as a favorite for us. TFTC

Not on my bike today, but Al and I had checked this spot out a couple of summers ago when I had convinced him to progress past the Boulder dash and we were doing the loop on a regular basis.
Today it was my first stop. tftc
Might be showing my age a bit here but i'm sure i remember when there used to be a visitors/ information centre here.

Another fun hide. The last time Paua stood right here was in her high school days, when her Class flew down here to see the dam being built. The lookout seemed a lot higher because the whole valley was empty, there was no huge stone wall and the whole place was full of construction buildings and workmen and huge machinery. Gosh Breannah, she might have even seen your Great Grandfather working here...now that really makes us feel old. We've always had an interest in this dam, there's also an interesting plaque over the other side which we stopped to read today. TFTC.
