Oops - sorry for taking so long to archive this event! Thanks for the tip-off Bewilderbeest!
My first flash mob and I won the *FTF*.
Thanks Tealby for organising this event, i'd heard about them before and was happy to finally attend one. Please can we have nicer weather and more chocolate for the next one?

Finally getting around to logging my attendance - just keeping in style with my late arrival (how "embracing"!!) Thank you to everyone else who did manage to get there on time & help make the event a success. My count for the event is 36 caching identities in attendance with a total of 46 people (and 1 dog).
A couple of folks still left to log - you will need to do so soon to ensure you get the special souvenir posted to your account - ACBC66, Tomiquid and Tiger-Monkey. (I have now been advised that BubblesBaby123 and Bronnie_1990 are one & the same person, so that solves that mystery.)
Lastly, congratulations to the following prize winners (hopefully I have captured them all):
The Tank & His Tinks - Swaggie TB - kindly donated by Dvixen (Geo-What? Geo-Stuff!) - a great introduction to caching to win a trackable at your very first event - congratulations!
Alan Bedago - Swaggie TB - kindly donated by Dvixen (Geo-What? Geo-Stuff!)
ACBC66 - FTF for the event - FTF pathtag
Eynowd - Aussie Flag pathtag

Fore! and I just got there in the nick of time and followed the crowd to GZ.
Good to see so many people taking part and what was a pretty cool and windy morning.
Thanks for organising this Tealby!

Thanks for organising this Tealby!
After a year of cacheing it was so great to see/meet so many familiar 'names'.
Thanks Tealby
Thanks Tealby
My first flash mob - came along with Tomiquid (my daughter's handle). Saw a number of people I hadn't seen for a while and met a couple of new friends.
Thank you Tealby for organising.

Freezing cold but great fun! Very cool to put faces to names. See you all around the 'caches!
Our first flash mob on a very chilly morning, great to put names to faces. Great event-thanks.
Ah, it's a cold, miserable, windy saturday morning.
Now normally, i'd never get out of bed for this.
Was planning on walking up Mt Ainslie, but...errgh, no thanks, not in this weather!
After a quick detour via maccas, for something that constituted coffee, i was sitting in the geocar (which was green, whilst i was..gold/yellow?), waiting for 10am to tick around. Discovered there's only so much you can do in your car, for 10 minutes. (Change batteries in gps, play with camera, waymark the car), ended up going for a walk, to try and find a garbage bin (Yep, CITO from the batteries?), and then...turned up to the GZ spot slightly early. Ooops..
Nice to see all the "regulars", plus lots of newbies

First Event and First Cache loved it and met some nice people.
Thanks for welcoming me.
Thanks for welcoming me.
Who ordered the weather? Ask for a refund!!
Met some old friends for the first time, and some new friends too! Always great to get together at an event for a bit of a social.

I like flash mob events but I also like nano's so there's no accounting for taste
I think it must be the close proximity to parliament that cause every canberra flash mob to be a little less flash and more mob. It seems 15 minutes just isn't enough time to catch up with everyone, but it's still a lot of fun.
Thanks again Tealby for organising another canberra event.
I think we need another one of those drive by ones in the middle of winter that was fun too!

Thanks Tealby...another great WWFM event.
Yep, it was a bit windy, but I think we all did ok. After the photo's were taken it was good to get around the other side for the other event for the serious business of pathtag swapping.
Good to see a few cachers who can't normally make weekend events as well as all the newer cachers.
Look forward to the next event.

4404. [font=Century Gothic][green]Another WWFM from Tealby and another success, despite the weather, but with a twist. It seems Tealby's GPS is the only one running on time? Anyway good to see big numbers on an ordinary day.

Well that was embarrassing. Despite living within easy walking distance, I somehow got my dates mixed up and slept in this morning. I was sure it was next weekend.
Sounds like everyone else had fun tho'!

I attended this nice Event with ACBC 66, fitzy_1965 and his kids. Very good but very cold - as I forgot my jumper I had to borrow fitzy's...
Thanks Tealby for the chocolates !
Thanks Tealby for the chocolates !
My first flash mob event. Had intended to go to the Wollongong one, but it was at 3am. The kids weren't that keen (neither was I).
Thanx.
Thanx.
I think the comment was... slowest Flash Mob ever
Nice to see so many familiar faces, and to meet some new caching friends.
Thanks for the event, glad that Canberra kept the weather *just* bearable....

Timed our arrival to perfection, unlike Tealby [:o)]
Many of the usual suspects but a few unfamiliar faces too.
Nice to see so many kids, especially Bella of AlanBegado!
My thanks to Tealby for trying to give me a kiss until she realised I'm over Fore!teen!
Could envisage a photo of Tealby's back as she made her way into the shot!
Thanks for organising the event and the ensuing pathtag swap! Thanks to all of my fellow pathtaggers who sought out trades, awesome!

Only one Winglen today as it turned out, but I was glad to be able to make it to catch up with everyone. A bit chilly up there, but worth it neverthless to be at another WWFM. Thanks Tealby!
Another fun event with that element of surprise woven in. Thanks

A last minute decision to attend to spread around some of my pathtags. A chilly wind was blowing but it was good to catch up and talk caches, caching, movies (), GPSrs and much else.
Thanks Tealby, my first WWFM

3801 + 152 = 3953. Another great event run by Tealby with support from Dvixen.
Although brief it was great to catch up with some old hands as well as some newbie cachers. ACBC66, AwesomeL, me and most of my Tribe attended in the cool weather. ACBC66 was very happy to win the prize for the first to find ! Thanks again Tealby !!
TNLN - TFTC !!
Cheers....

It was a cold and cloudy morning but the icon on the phone kept saying get up for wwfm, so eventually we did, and met up with the green and gold army at mt ainslie. Another great wwfm event. Thanks tealby
We were the last Cacher's to arrive after a quick dash up the hill. This was our first Flash Mob Event. Thanks Tealby for organising the event. It was very cold but great to see new and familiar faces.
This Evil Jeep needed to take another trip Down Under. All of you Flash Mobbers please take time to discover or move to location of your choice. It's in search of a million miles of SMILES!
oooooh miserable weather, no good for flying model planes, no good for balloons, no good for paragliders but............
Perfect for a Flash Mob.
So we'll be there well at least two of us, and maybe some new geocaching friends from Nowra, Braidwood and Ngunnawal.
Even in the cold hopefully we'll have a massive mob.
See you there.
Gold is has to be gold? How about an off yellow instead.

allrounder twisted my arm on this one.
With any luck, if I pull my proverbial out tonight, I can make this my long-time-coming 800th....

At least one of AlanBegado will be coming along... Just have to find the right colours now.
Only green I got is a really obscene lime green puma jumper hahaha so I'll wear that but got the gold covered
Could be I have changed my mind...
Leave cyclist and soccerist to their own devices and chuck the remaining SamWalkers in the car.
OHH! what to wear?

*looks around slyly.
Flash Mob? WOOT! Will be there! Not sure I own anything in the correct colours. Maybe I'll wear Canuck red!
(Due to the quick nature of a WWFM, Geo-what? Geo-stuff! shinies are only being brought on request.)

Alas, as much as I would like to be here, I will be working in Melbourne...
I tried to explain to the boss....
Oh well, enjoy yourselves - see you next time!

The WWFM is drawing near - less than a week to go now, so I thought I'd provide a short update with some late breaking news:
1. As a special bonus, all logged attendees at any WWFM event worldwide will receive a special geocaching souvenir (ie one of the virtual souvenirs that gc.com award - similar to the 10-10-10 souvenir you can see on my profile). I believe that attendance logs will need to be completed within a week or so of the event to ensure they are recognised.
2. Currently there are 215 events listed in 25 different countries, so this WWFM has already broken all past records - now we just need as many people to attend as possible (we count actual attendees - adults and kids - not just caching identities). This is one of 5 different event in Australia. Canberra and Melbourne are the only places in Australia to have participated in 7 of the 8 WWFMs held to date.
3. I will give a special "kiss" to the children in attendance (while my limited stock lasts) - adults fear not that I am going to molest your kids - but you should warn them off if they have an allergy to nuts (almonds) or chocolate.
4. After the group photo looking down Anzac Parade, all of those who haven't logged the Mt Ainslie trig on GCA will have an opportunity to trek up the hill for a group photo & find. This will then mark the end of the WWFM event.
5. After the WWFM there will be a GCA event to continue on the fun for those who are into pathtag trading.

Errrr, lucky this topic came up during our catathon in Jerra. Didn't realise it was so soon and I am committed on Saturday to invasion of Wee Jasper. You'll need another volunteer for photo duties
Count me in - green & gold, yep, that's do-able........
Thanks Tealby, see you there.
Thanks Tealby, see you there.
looks like I will be able to attend this one...Fore! should be there as well...
With a cache name like that how could aussiepuschaks refuse! We'll be there.
Time was running short and I wondered if Canberra was hosting another WWFM. After attending at 3am in Wollongong for the WWFM, this will be #2 for the day!
I take it all back- the Wollongong event is Sunday morning so we won't be able to make it .
a day I haven't cached before.. I'd better attend to mark this off on my geo-calender and of course catch up with everybody.
thanks Tealby should be a good one.
