As this cache has been out of action for too long, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements.
As the MEGA is this weekend I am archiving these now. Please remember:
If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

Didn't spend too long here due to other DNFs but had a good poke about with our anti-dragon weapons (sticks) but no success
Damn - didn't retain our luck from previous caches so couldn't find this one. Found a couple of spots where it could have been but nothing in them. Given we are the first DNF we will keep an eye out for future finds and return.
Picked this one up while cycling back from Days Bay. Having done the rest on an earlier occasion by foot it was nice to do this first half by bike. They are nicely spaced for walking but possibly a bit close for cycling. The whole distance by foot in one go is possibly a bit too long without a loo been provided half way.
Like a previous logger, I found the container on the ground so have returned it to what looked like an obvious hiding place. Tftc.
Had time for a bike ride to find some Re-cycle or Recycle caches before WENZ 2018 - The Launch Party Event in the afternoon. Thanks Yeetrees for the cache.
At this stage I was about as wet as I could possibly get and, being near the end, I didn't mind spending a bit of time looking for the cache if I needed to. However, I located it straight away.
Found during my morning run into work. Looked at the most obvious spot for the hide but found it empty. Looked down at my feet and saw the recycled container lying on the ground. Log etc all in good order, so just put it back in my initial search spot. TFTC.
Finally found one of these types of hides - and unexpectedly quickly too. Quite good cover here surprisingly. TFTC.
I decided I'd like to go for a walk and since there's some caches along this path I figured why not do both walking and caching? Thanks Yeetrees.
I got some spare time today so I decided to check the remaining cache for this series. This one is a quick find.
Bus ride down to Welly for Business and Geocaching in the spare time with Rsways
First one on this trail - Quick and easy find with spot on GPS - TFTC

I have discovered that I quite like this series and that I can do them one at a time on my way to work. Stopped to find this one while biking in this morning.
Thank you

In keeping with the theme of the series I'm going to recycle my logs for the day!
This series has been taunting me since I collected the latter part a few weeks ago. Today I started from Ngauranga on foot and walked to the start of the cycle path and back. Most caches were straightforward finds, but I've logged a couple of DNFs today - an excuse for another visit one day. This hasn't been one of my favourite series: for much of the path the traffic on SH2 is close and noisy.
As I type this it's Star Wars day in New Zealand - May the Fourth be with you!

Started this series from the other end with Northcma, had the bicycle in the van so I decided to tackle them from the Esplanade. Made good use of the bike path gathering these without much muggle traffic.
Thanks for the series and TFTC!

Finally found a long stretch of flat road to run. Will definetely come back more than once. Thanks from Prague =D
Found on a Sunday outing with NZ1. Been thinking of having a hunt for the series for a few months and the opportunity came about today. Caught train to Petone and completed on bikes. Enjoyed and thanks to CO for the cashes. TNLNSL.
Completed with Glad-NZ on a Sunday outing. Started from Petone end and made our way on bikes to Wellington. Great series thanks to CO.
#2201 I have had my eyes on this series of caches and finally got around to collecting them this afternoon after getting bored with the Super Bowl half way through. Perfect day to get out on the bike! Parked at Ngauranga and first biked South collecting caches to Two-Seven then biked back and headed North collecting caches as I went all the way to One. Great little power trail. Two seem to be MIA so I will return to collect those when they are reinstated. Coords spot on, TFTC!
I decided to pop down to Wellington for the long weekend and actually spend time in the city for a change.
A lovely day, and I had a plan, sorry but they are recycled logs, enjoyed the walk and even got a split moment of silence when I could appreciate the views, would love to have gotten a photo with the train, car, bike, plane and ferry in at the same time, but not this time. Most caches were quick easy finds but a couple of tricky ones thrown in the mix. TFTC

One of 15 found on this route today, a Sunday afternoon walk with Mrs tbird and the geohound. Needed 12 more to reach 150 caches for January, a personal best. Quick find. Did require a bit of effort to extract this one. #1055. TFTC.
Well as it turns out we pulled the bikes off and did as much as we could before it got dark and too cold for the boys. great bike or walk along here and we enjoyed walking one side and biking the other, as doing these were a last minute thing after dinner. Once again thanks for taking the time to place these we only came across 3 dnf over the whole lot and doing a power trail on bike is a nice change. Tftc (sorry once again for the copy and paste joys of using the phone.
A quick find. The container is somewhat damaged but safe enough tucked away as it is. Thanks for the cache.
With my last full day in wellington I decided to get a bike and go for a ride. I set out from deep in the city just after 9am and headed directly for this trail as it was the primary target for me today. Including a little time in Petone, I spent 5.5 hours on the bike with the total distance traveled 36.25km. Just one DNF on #3 which has had a string of DNF's.
I could not look for #26 and #27, on both the outbound and return trip muggles were around both GZ. Otherwise all caches were not to tough to find and a great day out on the bike to make all the finds.
I wouldn't normally however in the spirit of the theme, I hope that you don't mind if I recycle my log on each find.

Found, on the way from the oldest NZ Geocache back to Wellington.
It was a nice walk. Good hiding places and all the muggles paced away rapidly

#2 on this trail, passed this and had to double back... easier to spot from this direction lol. TFTC
Third stint of clearing out the Recycle Cache trail.
A lovely still morning, with an easy find. TFTC

#856. Headed up here about 8.30pm for some night caching. I saw some rocks in the first place checked and thought they looked a bit odd. But then headed off and checked nearby spots with my torch. Back to the first spot and with a bit more torchlight I realised the first spot had quite a big cavity and yes inside was the cache. Well hidden. Signed log, extracted the code which was bit ambiguous but hopefully still useable. Returned cache and covered again with the camo. Odd to be caching so close to the road and yet well hidden from cars. Although I did get muggled by a train roaring past! TFTC
873, After work walk to Petone. Collected 25 out of the 27. Then caught train back to central.
Wanted to do this track for a while now...
So today was the day as I had some time available.....
Could only do half the track and was busy doing QR scans also.
TFTC. SLB. TNLN.

Had no trouble finding the cache while walking the cycle trail from Petone to Ngauranga. TFTC
Quick find (no. 2) out on a very warm morning. Plan was to get all these (17-1) but the heat got to us - will be back for rest on a cooler day. TFTC
Traffic busy but bike trace quiet. Quick find - another in the series down. Tftc
Today i decided to do the Re-cycle-Trail by foot.
I couldn't find all caches but the most .

Completed the higher numbers some time ago and these have been on the "To Do" list so I decided today was the day TFTC
A Boxing Day walk to the second (first?) part of this series.
Left a workman talking on a cellphone, it looked like where he belonged.
Rehid with a bit extra cover.

overall this is a great series, especially because the coords are spot on for most caches.
Today is a dot day, one of only 3 left for November and so a day I'd like to go caching on. Today is also the much awaited day when I travel down to South Island to start my new job. Have been laid up with poorly feet for a few weeks so only cache and grabs for a wee while now so quite nice to go on a bit of a road trip to increase my caching finds on the North Island. My intention will be over the next few weeks to redress that balance and get my South Island total skipping along.
Left Manawatu to overcast skies and threat of rain and wind still gusting from time to time, good old Spring.
Into the last half hour or so before check in time at the ferry terminal. Worked out with some strategic (cheeky) parking I could limit the walking necessary to make these finds. No problems with any of the six finds today, have pretty much done most of them this side of the flyover/bridge.
T F T C Yeetrees, and a great series to do to/from the ferry

Out from the Radiance of the Seas for a great day of caching before my tour of Lord of the Rings sites. Put on about 10 miles and picked up a few blisters but it was worth it. In from Las Vegas - TFTC
Great day for a walking adventure with Kane-nz. Last one for me for the day. Thanks for an awesome trail.
#791 I found this one in March 2013 but confused it with the next in the series and logged it as a DNF. I noted it today as I was walking to the one I had not found - it was still in place. Found the next one and corrected my entry for this one. TFTC
Needed a quick one today to continue current streak. This was just the one to get me out of a bit of a jam. Quickly logged and off again to pick up kids. TFTC.
A great easy series if you want to tick off 17 Geocaches in a short period of time Thanks
I went out with Dad again today (wbond1116). I love spending our days together and caching - it is loads of fun. Thanks for this series Yeetrees - it was good to meet you the other day.
Found on the way to the CITO event in Wellington. 1Grunta and others were CITOing in the area, busy talking and walked straight past the cache, had to backtrack to collect
Easy find along a busy road, thanks to Yeetrees for the trail.

Found it - a beautiful day for caching - a couple of trains give us a bit of a fright
