Took a few minutes before I spotted something that didn't quite look right, shifted it and there was the cache. Nice one. Found tonight in the dark and in thick fog on the way back to Invercargill. TFTC!!!

Ten days off in a row for the price of two leave days, how fabulous! Packed up the whanau for an adventure and headed south. Our original plans were slightly thwarted by water, but we made the trip into an adventure tikitour with a few caches along the way. Signing the logs as Team Polak or TP for brevity. Great fun, thanks to all the CO’s for the entertainment!!
This one took a wee bit of looking but I finally found it in the obvious place. Cheers
Easter holidays, and a road trip to Milford Sound. Today we drove from Invercargill to Te Anau with a magic sunny and calm autumns day
Thanks to all CO's for placing and maintaining their caches. Cheers

Last time we were here there were too many muggles but this time the coast was clear for us to gave a good search. J found it after a bit of searching. TFTC
During our 3-week journey through the South Island of New Zealand together with Löwi17 we also passed this beautiful place. A cache here and there may not be missing. Greetings from Germany by S & T147
On a geocaching adventure around the country with myself, my car and my tent. Drove almost 4000km and collected 170 caches over a week of roadtripping, camping and seeing the beautiful sights of New Zealand. Lots of fun and so many great caches were found, as well as a lot of DNF's. Apologies for copy paste post. Thank you to all cache owners. Day six driving from Te Anau to Dunedin. Thank you for the cache
Having a weekend in Queenstown visiting some friends, so decided to make a bit more of the trip and transfer a rental car from Queenstown to Christchurch and go the long way along the Southern Coast of the South Island, mainly focusing on the Virtual caches down here, and anything else I head past.
Noticed this cache was close by while I was doing the EC near here. Headed over here once I had gathered all of the EC answers. Got an easy find as the cache hadn't been replaced properly and was hanging out. Tucked it back in, nicely hidden.

Viv spent a while here whilst Tim did the nearby earthcache. She failed miserably, so Tim came up and found it immediately!

Heute folgt mit Heckenstürmer der zweite Transfertag von Dunedin nach Te Anau. Eine Recht grosse Strecke, bei der wir uns beim Fahren abwechselten. Aber dennoch konnten ein paar Dosen eingesammelt werden.
Day 3 in Newzealand. Today we drove from Dunedin to Te Anau.
A very beautiful Country with lovely places. We were able to find nice Caches and See Lots of interesting places.
Thank you for showing us this place.

Tickled I found this wee one so easily. It wasn't very well hidden. SL and returned with the thing back in place. TFTC
I was driving from Invercargill to Te Anau this afternoon and stopped to take a look for this cache along the way. Walked around the structure a couple of times before something caught my eye. TFTC!
[#4470] After a windy night at Orepuki we continued our trip through New Zealand. We first visited Gemstone Beach and Monkey Island. Because of the hard wind and almost high tide the sea and foam flurries came very close. Our next stop was in Riverton to have some coffee and fuel up and shortly visit the geology museum. Next we headed for Bluff and after a steep climb arrived on top of Bluff Hill where we almost got blown away but had amazing views here. At Land's End we were out of the wind and spent some time looking around. Before staying overnight at Fortrose we went to see the Waipapa lighthouse where we again had to fight against the heavy wind. We did not see any sea lions there. Thanks to all cache owners for making our visit even more fun and interesting.

The museum is well worth a visit. This was a clever hide but quickly spotted by chermione. Thanks.
On our continued afternoon geocaching adventure we stopped off to look for this cache. After some searching once again Wazza jagged the find. TFTC
**This was 1 of 22 caches that was found by me on the 6th of 19 days in New Zealand.**
**Which also was the 59th of 75 days that my travels thru southeast Asia and Oceania would last.**
My main reason for stopping here was to examine the earthcache. But since this was placed right next by I gave it an try. That after a few minutes of walking around the object I was ready to give up. Luckily I then managed to find the what the hint describes.
*During 19 days I traveled from Christchurch to Auckland in an SUV, that i also slept in during most of the nights. 5.956 km of driving did it take to visit the 351 caches that I have marked as found in c:geo.*
*Earthcaches was my main focus during the stay. And I manage to visit 106 of them. So New Zealand is right now the only country where earthcaches are my most found cache type .*

Stopped off for a leg stretch and cup of coffee and then saw there were a couple of caches very close by. Tricky hide but it impressed my muggle friend no end. Favorite point from me. TFTC.
Due to the heavy rain, we skiped visiting Gemstone Beach and Monkey Island and headed to Riverton instead. Here we visited the Museum and used a short rainfree spot to search for this cache.
Thanks for hiding and maintaining the cache!
Thanks for hiding and maintaining the cache!
Our plan was to visit Gemstone Beach and Monkey Island, but wind and rain were so bad, that we skipped them and headed to Riverton instead.
After a warm drink we found a short gap in the rain and used it to look for the answers to the Earth Cache nearby. Since the weather stayed good we also looked for the House Full of Memories. Thanks to the accurate coordinates it was quickly discovered.
Thanks for this Cache!

On a road trip to the Deep South visiting family in Tuatapere. Enjoying a last bit of sightseeing and caching before catching our flight home. Looking forward to returning as we have loved our quick taste of the south island. Thanks for bringing us here it is a lovely spot TFTC
Today we made a trip from Invercargill to Te Anau, visiting some new sightseeing locations and looking for caches there. On this trip we searched, found and logged a lot of caches, too. The weather was dry in the morning and got slightly snowier when we approached to Te Anau, but no sun at all.
Almost no muggels observed us as they had other things to do than observing harmless geocachers.
Thanks to kizzya for showing us this location and for the fun we had at House full of Memories (Southland). The search we had here today didn't take too much time.
Greetings from Germany and hope to see you soon in the forest.

Damn this one was well hiden it was a good find we didn't have a pen so we didn't write in it this one was very tricky
What a tricky wee hide - very well done. I walked up and down a couple of times looking for the hint item then quite by chance I moved something and there was the cache tucked away. I was very pleased to see it. Left as found. Luckily the cold squally weather meant nobody else was out and about so I had the place to myself. TFTC # 12,512
*Added another RITR logslip. Poor pen ink will run on the slips as the seal has gone. Placed back in hide not visible and good to go for another season Kizzya.*
19 Dec 15 Found Hee hee found it after closing hours; it would've been a straight forward grab if not for the muggle working in her garden a few doors down at the back. Was initially a metre away all the other times I searched, but after a wery low search something didn't add up. It was doing my head in not finding this before. The log had heaps of room, thanks to those previously who placed a new one. The train comes from [Pourakino](https://coord.info/GC1ZN14), where the old railway bridge is still visible and the abutments and boiler are all that remain. TFTC Kizzya

A week away down south and a chance for some caching. Was a nice and easy find this with the hopes of lots more.TFTC
Cache was easily found and taken to a safe place for signing as the blustery winds could present a problem. Once this was done, all was securely put back into place. Many thanks go to Kizzya for bringing some touring Aussies to visit this area and giving a good reason for a stop here.
Found with VikingNav today while exploring the area. Thanks for the fun cache! >^..^
While spending a few days in Invercargill, we decided to take a drive to see the area, and find a few caches along the way. We started our day with a drive to Bluff, finding the start/end of SH1 and some great views from the top of the hill. After the visit to Bluff, we headed west along the coast to get two virtuals, walk on a few beaches, and enjoy the day. Thanks to all the owners for the caches.
Stopped here to see the locomotive, and then found the cache.

Nice hide. The line wasn't visible so I left it just slightly exposed for less wear on the structure and landscaping. A Spotted Shag greeted me here. Thanks!
Nice hide here. Took longer than I thought it would, by happy to get another smiley while visiting from Whanganui

Next leg of our road trip sees us heading to Invercargill on New Years Day picking up caches along the way.
First DNF of the day.
First DNF of the day.
Todays trip went from Clifden down south and ended at Curio Bay.
We found some special caches on the way and it made our trip a real sightseeing trip.
We didn't visit the house full of memories but we looked for the cache and we found it. Although we do not understand the hint at all.

#4854. I have been in Southland for a week on a work trip but all that time was spent in Fiordland. I now have two days off and time to grab as many caches as I can find. Hired a rental car and set off on the adventure in glorious warm, sunny, dry, summer-like weather. Stopped here to eat my dinner which was a feed of fish and chips from the local up the road. After enjoying the estuary views and feeding a horde of hungry gulls it was time to check out the nearby caches. This one took me a while as I missed it on the first sweep. Had to cover a lot more ground before having a more thorough check. Nicely placed cache. Signed and replaced as found. Thanks for the cache kizzya.
Found it on our way to Te Anau. We took the scenic route from Invercargill . Passed through and stopped to grab this cache. Clever way of hiding. TFTC.
Woke up in beautiful Wanaka on day two of my long, long weekend. Looks like it will be another beautiful day, which is such a change from the Manawatu - so nice to have the chance to dry out and not come home from a day's caching with soaking wet shoes and socks. And its nice to come across nice dry logs all day too - and not a brace or power pole hide all day - another miracle! The plan for today is to head towards Winton, gathering caches on the way of course! There's a challenge cache near home that I want to achieve on this trip, so I'm hoping to collect a lot of caches on different minutes.
Heading through Cromwell to head back into Queenstown and down to Clifden, Tuatapere before heading back up to Winton for the evening. I haven't been through this way before, even in pre-caching life. Loving the scenery.
This was a relatively quick find all things considering. Spotted something that was a little bit of place and warranted further investigation and there it was. TFTC

Day 1 of our 6 day trip down south.
Left Rotorua early with Squirrel Nutcase and arrive at Invercargill airport about midday. Rental car collected and on our way to Bluff to find a cache to start the challenge we had for ourselves. At the end of the day we found accommodation in Mosgiel after travelling over 500km's on a great loop drive.
Took a couple of passes before we found this sneaky hide. SLTFTC

With Gap (of Fap and Gap)… Our journey to the bottom of the South Island has been almost two years in the planning. We were determined to make it to Oamaru Geofest. We decided to also factor in completing a couple of missions (JASMER and Virtual challenges), and the wheels started turning...
Day One: Rotorua-Christchurch-Invercargill-Dunedin
From Bluff, our mad circular route took is westward along the southern coast. This interesting location deserved further exploration. We moved on from the nearby EC and spent a considerable amount of time combing for this hide. We focused heavily on the area our iPhone gps pointed to, but found the cache a little further out. TFTC.

#14598. Quick find of a nicely hidden cache (just as well as the wind was bitterly cold). TFTC.
Found with StreetWalker on day 3 of our road trip to the Oamaru Geofest, taking the scenic route, of course. Today we are travelling from Manapouri to Invercargill.
Great to have two caches for the price of one with the nearby earth cache to do as well. SW's eagle eyes spotted this nice wee hide. A great location and a great hide, what more can I ask for? TFTC.

Visited the museum in Riverton to enquire about some of the local history as the first of our direct descendants arrived in Riverton in 1886 and two generations are buried in the local cemetery. Other than a single mention in the recently published local history book the helpful staff were unable to shed any light on them. However the bonus was the nearby Earthcache and this cache. Was waiting for some 'muggles' to move on when they wandered over and asked I was geocaching - apparently they had done some in the past but didn't seem interested in making the find. A quick find in the end, although not quite what was expected. TFTC.
A great hide and a nice museum nice to see the boat in the harbor on a not so great daytftc
Yes this was not your straight forward find and attention to detail will reward you.
SITF #46 nice find by piper. Thanks for the cache here can imagine it is a beautiful place when not so cold and windy! cheers
