I wasn't hopeful of finding this given its been 3 years since last found and the last couple of logs are dnfs. However we gave it a decent go with no luck unfortunately.
This really needs a check from CO (if still active) given the last few logs - cache damaged and then possibly missing.
Seeing as it's been a while since this was found, and coming back to this area to see the path has changed a bit in the last two years, it might need a revisit by someone who can confirm whether cache still exists.
I was hoping the grab 12 months unfound unloved with this cache but it wasn’t to be. The sound of running water sounded tranquil. I found what I thought was right for the hint then I found some telltale cache debris so I hope it’s still there
In the area to do a bunch of raindoctor caches to celebrate my 50th birthday. After a morning spent bushbashing it was nice to take a path pretty much to GZ. Coordinates were all over the place but the hint made it fairly straightforward to locate the cache.
Having done the business we proceeded to the rocks in the middle of the river - the view downstream is just stunning here. What a truly beautiful spot.

Took the direct option straight down the hill from the firetrail, which wasn't too difficult. It wasn't until after finding the cache that I noticed the track right by GZ. Was expecting a larger container going by the description but found it easily after reading the hint. A nice spot. TFTC

Just over 12 months since the last visitor. Managed to find a track to within 15m of the cache. Took a few minutes to find something matching the hint. Then as Dan picked up the container, he found it cracked in half. We had a spare small sistema, which was big enough for the logbook, but not a pen. To improve exposure to the weather, we left it covered with some rocks. Should be obvious to a geocacher, once you see it under the (hint).
Arrived at GZ and didn't take too long before cache was found with a new log book, so we were fist to sign. Plenty of bird noises and animal activity here. TFTC
I took the nieces "treasure hunting" today. They seemed to enjoy it. We took the opportunity to put in a new log book (in two zip lock bags) and put some extra cammo around the container.
Continued on the fire trail from Platypus but at 100m to go, went bush. A quick find at GZ, signing a piece of paper added by I believe Raby Roamers inside a fresh zip lock bag, as the log book is damp, thanks Rindy9
hmmm... 'nice walk down a fairly well defined track'... where are you 'fairy well defined track '.. not the way we went (straight down the hill off the fire trail). After a bit of bush bashing, down to the water we found that 'fairly well defined track'.. darn, think we should have just kept following the fire trail instead of the GPS.. oh well, our way wasn't too bad. After getting to GZ we found the cache just sitting there on the ground out in the open. Not open like the last finder, but definitely not where it should have been. I wonder if some animal is touching it. Kind of looks like it has a few gnaw marks. The contents inside were completely wet. We tipped out the water and added a fresh bag with fresh dry paper before doing the container back up. We put it back where we thought it might have been (under a 'hairy fella', but like last finder.. no idea whether this was the right place. Thanks for bringing us to this lovely area and showing us the track to follow to the next cache
Cache was out in the open, lid off, full of water...plastic bag with pen 5m over this way...torn and soaked log 5m over that way
We collected everything and put it back in it's container, and back where it *possibly* should have been? I didn't hide it terribly well, as I may have been completely off. Hopefully CO can get out to this one and re-hide. Good news was the container wasn't broken at all. Just the contents all ruined.

Well this was fun - we got as close as we thought we could using the trail, and then took to the bush to head down to the river. Lots of sliding and jumping (very wet here after rain last night), and we eventually made it to GZ. No search for the cache though, as it was out in the open, lid off, full of water...plastic bag with pen 5m over this way...torn and soaked log 5m over that way
Besides that, it's a nice spot - water running through peacefully - very wet down here today!
Of course, we followed an easy track all the way back up.....wish we spotted that on the way down...!!!
Thanks!

My GPS was bouncing all over the place. So I just sat down and had a drink and a snack. Now looking at the clue. Well there may several places around here. I looked to my left and only 2 meters there it was staring me in the face all the time. Thank you Rindy9 for taking me to this peaceful place. The Cache name sure looks up to the location. Dropped off TB CB99C4
A lovely tranquil spot (once the cockatoos quietened down!). The cache was an easy find especially with the hint.
Took nothing, left novelty wallet.

Alright third cache down and it's not even lunch yet! Feeling super productive this morning - of course getting to GZs would not be as straight forward if it weren't for our trusty guide. A really beautiful area so I can see how the cache got its name. Nice size cache for swaps and things - anyone like a fake Mo for Movember?

First concentrated my search on a very atractive wrong spot. Once I followed the actual coords I was fine!

Found it on a afternoon walk with the GeoFamily. Bush bashed in but finding the track on the way out made it a lot easier on my old legs. TN left a clown TFTC

Found by the 'J' of JYGE? Nice walk, took some time to just sit and relax/rest. Would have been nice for 2yo 'E' but he stayed further up with 'Y' having a drind and biscuit. Many thanks
another local one for me. lovely walk down there and like others i took a short cut by bush bashing... but only for 100m. it certainly a nice area but wasnt particularly tranquil on my visit as i had the constant buzz of trail bikes in the background. the search went longer than it needed with my gps telling me all sorts of stuff (darn lying satelites). i looked for a hairy bloke and found myself surrounded by them, as it turned out the first place i looked was the the correct place but it certainly wasn the last (missed it on first glance).
as stated in the cache description i took a photo of my surrounding... thru an object in the cache :p

I met up with Bikerbuddy, Team Canary, Toriaz and Rainbow Spirit to do a range of caches in this area, and this was my final one for the day. Thanks Rindy9 as I have not been to this area along the river. We did take a more direct route to the cache only to find that it is easier to use the tracks as we did returning to our geo-mobiles. A very nice location, TNLN thanks. .
I notice that if you stand still in this area the cache creeps away and hides somewhere else. I've watched it happen on the GPS. Apparently the caches are attached to animals, and some are even trapped in the growth of the green men of the forest. At least that's the explanation I have for all of us wandering around looking for this one. I bumped my head twice following the same wild man, which suggests the craftiness of this particular cache fellow (could it be bigfoot?) or my own gullible dim-wittedness.
"What are we looking for?" I asked Toriaz. She said she was looking for a hairy fellow. I was rather taken aback, not to mention being quite affronted! Hirsute, hairy, rug! I was tired of the name calling. But she huffed and brushed me aside and went after JKCourtz. Both were leaping for the hair fellow before he got away again. Meanwhile, I stood back, checking down my shirt and pants. Canary came up to see what I was doing.
"I'm looking for a hairy fellow too," he said and gave me a wink. Apparently his wife has been wondering what he's really looking for in the bush. I gave him a wink back, just to test my luck, but the big guy was off to sign the log, before the hairy fellow got too restless. Thanks

Met up with bikerbuddy, Team Canary, jkcourtz & Rainbow Spirit for a day of caching in this area. On our way to this one we discussed how frequently we all seem to take the direct bush bashing approach to caches only to aftewards discover a track which would have been the easy way in. Pity we didn't remember this, might has saved us a bit of sliding down the rocks. But I guess we would have missed some of the fun if we'd done it the easy way .
Five GPSrs amongst us & we still couldn't pin this one down accurately. But after we thought about the hint, inspiration came and we soon unearthed the container.
Thanks Rindy9, nice location .

Out on a cache hunt with jkcourtz, Team Canary, bikkerbuddy, and Toriaz today.
We found the cache a good 7m north of where our GPSrs wanted us.
Thanks Rindy9, a great little spot.

A nice bush and rock scramble out to find the cache. And a lovely walk along the fire trail back to the car!?!

Finding the actual cache was the easy bit.
Rode my mtb over on the nice and freshly graded fire trails across the back of Airds/St Helens Park in record time. I have been to the end of this fire trail several times now, including one unexpected trip after we pulled out of a walk along the river from Wedderburn Gorge. But I've never walked the old track down to the river before today.
Walked down to the cache with my mtb (big mistake, I should have stashed it in the scrub at the fire trail turn around), GPSr took a few minutes to settle so I did a sweep of the area before coming back and checking the arrow which said go that way, so I did and found the cache. Opened the log to find that I was FTF. Hid the cache and then the fun began.
I decided to follow the track along the river and see where it went. It was all good for a while then it turns left and heads straight up the hill. I ended up carrying my 12kg+ XC mtb back up the hill along an increasingly rough, steep and overgrown track. I was stuffed when I got to the top. If that wasn't enough I went bush bashing over to some caves I know of in the area to have a gander before heading back to the closest part of the fire trail.
Had a chat with an elderly gentleman that was out for a walk and he showed me some single track in the area. I was surprised as I thought I knew just about every bit of mtb rideable single track in the area. So I went for a spin to check it out before heading home.
An eventful but fun 3 hours. Thanks Rindy9 for sharing this nice spot.
