We spent a considerable time on this one, but the cache was the winner on the day. Thanks for the cache anyway. We will be back to try again.
Did not find this one however there was some very long vegetation among the boundary and wasn’t keen on getting bitten by a snake. Will go back when the council mows
Find # 5127
Found with sesblocker while attending the Sutherland Shire Geocaching "Winter Wonderland" event being held at Bent's Basin campground this weekend.
We jammed fingers into crevices fearlessly, then spotted cache lying on the ground, obviously it has been detached from the piece of engineering. We replaced the cache on the structure. We give this cache a favourite point.

You wouldn't believe how small it is, honestly if you find it it'll be the best you'll ever find
Found with Seemyshell after the event. A quick find by SMS as I was getting out of the car. Well hidden. We were very impressed by all the cores nearby. TFTC

In the area for the Boos event, caching with Brewmaker, we enjoyed all of these caches.
Loved the cores...

Well I thought I was picking up a few caches on my way to an event in Warragamba, turned out I was a day early, but it was a great day to find a few caches.
Very sneaky, eventually got the right angle to get a little flash of colour. TFTC

Geocache No: 643
Time: 19:52
Condition: Log is wet
Experience: This was our 13th Geocache for the day. We had stopped caching for a long time and decided we really wanted to get back to it and start hitting the find count that we really should be at.
This cache was easily accessible but the finding was much harder. We came here in the dark and just couldn’t see anything even with our torch. Eventually it was found accidentally by looking around a corner.
We didn't come up with much of a disturbance and we replaced the cache as found.
Thank you for the cache.

After seeing the muggles that were here earlier driving past, I came back for this cache and it was a quick find. Did the legals and replaced as found. TFTCM

Nice little cache at this place. Very inventive and inexpensive. Thanks for the reminder about the tragic history around here. There is not much evidence remaining but remember the scenes well.

Headed west today to explore around Warragamba and learn its history, after a visit to the dam itself we stopped here.
Soon got to the core of the matter here.....

Out cache with oldmorty on a big day. This one of many caches we found along our travels. Thanks to all the cache owners for maintaining their caches
Out today for a day’s caching with marj01, no bush bashing, just park and grab. After heading off pre-dawn from the eastern suburbs we visited the towns of Wallacia, Warragamba, Narellan, The Oaks and Nattai. Lots of caches were found; on the ground, dangling in trees, on signs, in stumps and even one in a haunted house. Whilst most of the caches were familiar we did strike some very ingenious ones. A large percentage of the finds were quick, however, there were some that had us scratching our heads for a while. All in all, it was a very enjoyable day out and I would like to thank all the CO's of the caches for hiding and maintaining the caches that we visited. And yes, I did read the reason/history for each cache in the lead up to the trip.
Out and about with Happy Uke again today. We met up again with our good friend Blueandgolder. The three of us were keen on hunting own some caches for the good of humanity.
Thanks for this one.
Thanks for this one.
Picked today for another raid on Warragamba. Finalf29 and I met up with Blueandgolder to start a wonderful day of searching, scrambling, bush bashing and laughing. We each had a hero moment with a spectacular find. Thanks to all the CO's for giving us a fun day... we started off slow, but ended up finding twenty!
This was our eighth for the day. Watching Finalf29 find this one straight away and with the other great finds he has had today... I've decided he is like a cache hound! Thanks

Out caching with Happy Uke and Final29. Final29 zoomed in on this cache and got it straight away.
This took me a few minutes. The second time today that I looked in the right place for the wrong container, but unlike earlier I missed the cache and moved on. Great to be able to see such a physical piece of engineering history.
ETA:And the Geocaching app tells me that this is my 500th find, so nice to have some actual stones for a milestone.

Once the bus in the turning circle moved on and I could extend my search beyond the arrow and barking dog, made a quick find of a container I’m familiar with.
After a late start to the caching day we headed over to Warragamba way. There was a selection made to look for and off we went.
This one took a bit more searching, as our GPS wanted us to look further away from the actual hide site. We let instinct kick in and made a successful find. Thanks go to The Boos for showing us so many places of iterest around the Warragamba area.

Driving up to this one we thought we might have been on the wrong side of the fence, but luckily the cache was spotted soon after. Interesting piece of history here. TFTC!

Found this cache in a nice location, and signed the log book. Thank you for the hide, liked it. Catching up on some logs for the past couple of weeks.
How facinating, the engineering for the dam was so great, and all without computers too!!! TFTC
Wow... These cores are fascinating. I would not have noticed them if I hadn't read the description. I took some photos of them. TFTC and History.

05 September 2016 10:35:11 OK I hate cut and paste logs so will try my best to add a little something different to each log I post. Code 1 and myself were out on our annual caching run weekend. So some of our logs read both names but to save room on micros and nano’s etc we used CJ1. Like most of our past trips a little homework was needed to work out a suitable location, route and to build lists and PQs, with this done and set we found our self’s in the Camden location. A great range of finds and styles were located with a great deal of questioning over some of the posted difficulties and terrains.
Having read the Book Warragamba by Red Morgan, even meet him a couple of times several years ago now, I always enjoy touring around this area.
JABs.
Found on a weekend invasion of my old romping ground with JAB's.
It's crazy to see how much the area I grew up in has changed over the years.
Never really taken any notice of these things before. Now that they were pointed out I have seen heaps of them around.
They are a lot bigger in diameter then I expected.

My fourth of six finds on a morning in Warragamba. Found there was plenty of off road parking here.
A short stroll to GZ followed by a short search and I found what I was looking for another one of the varied Booos containers. Retrieved, signed log and replaced. tftc

Today was my caching day for the weekend as yesterday I was busy with a huge charity event in Bondi. I he'd west from Greystanes to hit Luddenham, Wallacia, and Warragamba. Found 18 caches with a few DNFs. Thanks to the cache owners for placing the great caches.
Parked within 2 metres of the cache was a quick find. TFTC.

Caching is so much better with a fellow cacher. With WWs help i was able to log this one today. TFTC
Found this one yesterday managed to sign the scrunched up soggy log and returned to its home, might need some maintenance new log maybe? Tftc (:
#662 a quick find in the park the log was damp but able to be signed. Thanks for the cache
Streak Day #966 - Arrived at GZ with dave8153 and made a quick find in the first place i looked. TFTC
Tftc a nice easy find. Took my dog for a walk and knew where this one was but hadn't gotten around to logging it until now lol.
The geo-widow was having a girlie day in Penrith with her best friend today, so I came along for the ride and took the opportunity to do a caching run to Mulgoa and Warragamba. It's been many years since I last visited the Dam so I really enjoyed the drive around picking up caches. After taking in the current view of the dam, I headed here (bypassing the Killing Heidi one as a muggle was waiting for a bus) and made a pretty quick find after looking in a few likely places. I would have so loved to have been able to go beyond the gate and down to the pumping station ... wishful thinking is allowed!
Thanks for bringing me to another interesting site Booos, and for the smiley.

Well, it's the shortest day of the year. And I've been cooped up indoors for a lot of the previous four days. And it's been raining steadily the whole time. So what better antidote to both than to try to find the most caches I've managed to grab in a day - before the sunset ends.
The best target for this attempt is Mulgoa / Warragamba / Silverdale - the haunt of The Boos.
In the end, I succeeded with 25 finds (how people find a lot more than this in a day without a power trail or a Mega Event baffles me).
But I'm happy with the finds - the last as the last embers were fading from the clouds on the western horizon.

Well, muggle central here. The neighbour next to GZ arrived immediately after me, and the muggle family over the road was putting their junk out for council collection.
So I looked at the cores - fascinating display there - as I moved around and... oh. There.
The cache was easily findable as some of the paint has worn off and it sticks out somewhat from its surroundings. Made the grab when the muggles were looking the other way and completed signing duties away from GZ. Then back for the, hopefully, unobserved replace.
Now to wander down the road for my next target.

and at the same time found a few caches.

An easy find after attending an open house nearby.
Don't think the muggles on the verandah across the road took too much notice of me.

With a Saturday off work, it was time to join with Mr Hancock for a mighty day of caching, a total of 52 for me (a few less for him as he kindly waited whilst I redid a few he had already covered).
Nice quick find here. As we pulled in saw what looked suspiciously like another party of cachers leaving.

Was in the area with Calypso62 and geoboyfriend for some new year caching. C62 found this neat little hide whilst I was busy unnecessarily admiring the grape vine! The cores are amazing and I have thoroughly enjoyed my visit to Warragamba, can't believe I haven't been here before now.
Had a big convo with a cat who seemed to want help with something. Couldnt go over fence tho to find out wat all the fuss was about. Tftc kewl cache
Spied this one very quickly as the camo is starting to fade off none the less a finds a find! TFTC
Spotted in about a minute by Salem. He's going to get a very big biscuit at the end of today. Great hide tftc I'm sure I was looking there but just not good enough!?
