Another find here in Idaho at the begining of what is the last of 8 weeks here in the USA while on a holiday/caching trip. Flew up from Vegas this morning and hit this trail shortly after arriving. 119 finds for the afternoon, 1 DNF and a couple of did not attempts.

All great fun, easy unsealed roads and only past about 5 other cars all afternoon.

Greetings from Australia.

We had another great day on the trails on our trip to Idaho. We did encounter one unpleasant man when he tried to tell us we were on his private property and was very vocally complaining about people coming down his road and walking all around just like they owned the place (his words). There were no signs up when we went down the road but there was where we left it. There were many caches along these roads and we wondered how everyone was getting away with it if he owned the roads. He didn't actually tell us to leave so we continued and wouldn't you know it, we met him coming back later escorting a transport. We expected him to stop and give us hell but he kept on going. Later in the day we came upon another road strung with caches and there was his sign again saying no trespassing/private property. We stopped and were just sitting there for the moment when a truck pulled up and we thought it was him again, so hubby got out and asked him if we could go down his road for these caches. It apparently wasn't the same man, but sure looked like him, and he laughed and said it was a public road and no one could stop us from driving on it. There was even a note in one of the caches we found stating "Do you know this is private property?" It kind of took some of the fun out of the day for us. We signed the log as 2 Gypsies and thanks to everyone who placed these caches.

Team Lorriebird (Lorriebird, ZSteve, ShadowTiger and GreenWoodTurner) were in the area again for our second expedition into the Locomotive geo-art. Having finished the locomotive, we spent our last day together focusing on some of the power trails in the Mountain Home area. It was a cold and blustery day, but we had a great time exploring the back roads!

It's celebration time! After completing the entire Locomotion yesterday, what should we do today? Why, go caching, of course! Had a most wonderful day and we are grateful for the Geocaching Mecca that Idaho has become. Thanks again for all the smileys and the memories that I will take home to Florida tomorrow!

Last day of caching fun with Lorriebird and Team Greenwoodturner today. We finished hiking the train yesterday, so decided it was time for a little less physically challenging caching today. Unfortunately, the wind was nasty strong, so it took quite a bit of effort just to open the door to get out of the geo-rig. I must admit though that we were glad we weren't hiking. Had a great time out here - Lots of great memories. Thanks for the fun!

Out and about simply working on this run while the weather is great. Caches were in good shape, or we simply replaced them. Thanks for creating and maintaining this series, it has furnished us with a greater appreciation of what Idaho can offer in the way of beauty. SL with the initials "VGG".

A great day of caching in the Idaho desert with PhilatSea, starting at Mountain Home and working our way west. I did not enjoy seeing the devastation of the recent fires and a number of caches were quite damaged. We saw every possible kind of cache container on this run today and we replaced several that were badly damaged or missing. Thanks for placing all of these caches.

Back down in Idaho with Sweet Marie on another caching adventure. Signed caches as Canadian caching crew for larger logs and Canadian Maple leaf for smaller caches. Thank you for placing this cache.
Gravel Road is in great shape.
I have to say we saw every type of container one could think of. We saw Lays chip container, ctact lens holder, shot gun shells ( don't think these will last the wet) film canisters, ammo cans, tin cans to name a few.

We replaced some caches along the way as well. This area is part of the fires early and there isn't much left. The scorched earth saying really is part of this.

Replaced many containers in burned areas and added waterproof logs.
Thanks to all CO's for their efforts.

There are plenty of caches to be found in this area that offer opportunities for beautiful scenery, exercise, history, and meeting great folks. A fire has taken a toll near here and we replaced and/or repaired where we could. Thanks Mountain Home and League of Id Cachers for adding to our journey. We'll be back.

Out with All4Fun! on a great day for caching, trying to hit the magic number: Cache #1000!! We signed as $buddies. I want to say how much I appreciate the maintenance of these caches out here--it was a lot of fun! Thanks so much!

Out with kre8stuff purely for the numbers! The goal - both of us to hit #1000 on this run. This will also involve getting over 100 caches in one run. Thanks for all the well maintained caches out here - fire and all.

Day 7 of the Guys Roadtrip 2013 with Tombmaker! We picked up on the Idaho Quality Trail where we left off late last night. Still heading from North to South, through Mountain Home. We did the top 100 series and much of the ICS series. As we were finishing up late in the night, a huge thunderstorm came in and started a fire behind us a few miles away. We stopped and drove over to it. It was massive and generated intense heat. We were eventually told to leave the area for our safety. It was perfect weather and we found so many great caches today. Thanks to all that placed the caches, both new and old. Greatly appreciate all the maintenance to keep them fresh. TFTC. SL.

We dove into this series on a travel day. We got a late start but managed to find a few hundred anyways. The next day we knocked out the remainder, finishing with over 600 finds. As we finished we stopped and watched a thunder and lightening show. The lightening struck in several areas, starting fires! One of the fires burned in an area of the trail that we were caching on earlier in the day. We took some photos as the crews positioned themselves to fight the fires. My brother HiDude_98 and I enjoyed the series and the variety of caching hides and containers. Thank you for placing these caches!

Heidi and me visited this nice cache in our great trip to USA and CANADA. We took 27 days for visit the biggest powertrails in Washington, British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Montana, Wyoming, Idaho and Oregon. Visiting the first cache, the GC12 and the Geocaching HQ. We met several geocachers in our trip, HELLO AGAIN!. In the 6000 miles driven by 4x4, 400 miles in ATV and some more walking and hiking, we found more than 6000 caches. For us is impossible to remember every cache we found for a personal log. We are going to use this same log for all caches. Thanks to all geocachers for place this big quantity of caches and give us the oportunity to enjoy seaching them. Thanks for the cache. Seping (Barcelona, Spain). www.megaevent2014.com

My wife wanted to know what I wanted for my birthday...I told her that I would like a trip to Idaho to work on some of the power trails near Mountain Home. So that's what we did. Took a couple of days off work and headed north. The primary goal was to work on the challenge cache trail and get as many physical, non traditional caches as I could, I was around 200 short of a challenge in Utah. All in all a great weekend finding caches. Thanks to all the cache owners that added to our fun. Ended up with over 600 finds, a new personal best day, a new personal best month, pushed my finds to over 14000, and I think I might have enough caches to log the challenge at home too.

Day 1--Picked up a few caches in Twin Fall and Bliss before hitting Hammet where we worked the lower part of the trail across to Hwy 51 and about halfway down to the air base before we were too tired to continue. Of course that was after starting the day by locking the keys in the rental car and having to wait for AAA to rescue us and driving up from Utah.

Day 2--Started where we left off from day one. Best find of the day was the cafe we ate lunch at in Grand View....aside from the caches themselves. Even got a car wash from 2 young girls that were having a car wash in their driveway...

Day 3--Longest day of the weekend. Started by driving out to the Jet. Walked to the whereigo's and the multis. I want to finish this one some day, just need a better rental for that. Then up towards Boise and back down the freeway to Mayfield where we picked up the power trail again....worked a string that we had previously partially completed before heading back into town. Night cache then to bed...

Day 4--Time to drive home...still lots of caches to find. Grabbed a few caches east of town before breakfast, then down the freeway back to Hammet where we picked up a few of the Top 100 cachers series, then back to Bliss for a few we missed on Day 1, Jerome, then a few more on the way home...

Thanks for all the caches. Sorry for the cut in paste, but when you have this many to log, you have to use the tools that are available. I'm using GSAK to log my finds. If anyone wants more verification on puzzles, please contact me. I assure you that I have the proper qualifications to log them.

Out for another run on the Oregon trail. We tried to improve the camo on some of the caches. We had lots of fun and got a good look at some Oregon trail ruts which I thoroughly enjoyed! Tftc!
