Logs
The area around GZ has become an urban dumping ground and with changes by the water board to the area will have to active t his one.
DNF for us too... All the crew took turns, just in case and nothing came up. Our only DNF of the day.
Well, it's the shortest day of the year. And I've been cooped up indoors for a lot of the previous four days. And it's been raining steadily the whole time. So what better antidote to both than to try to find the most caches I've managed to grab in a day - before the sunset ends.
The best target for this attempt is Mulgoa / Warragamba / Silverdale - the haunt of The Boos.
In the end, I succeeded with 25 finds (how people find a lot more than this in a day without a power trail or a Mega Event baffles me).
But I'm happy with the finds - the last as the last embers were fading from the clouds on the western horizon.
END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION
First DNF of the day.
The likely hidey holes didn't turn up anything cache-like.
Time for a check.

Came out here with alnic39 but we were unable to find it. After we left security came to the building but don't know if that was because of us poking around
Looked pretty hard found a stray pen we thought was the cache, nit for us today.
Perhaps CO needs to check it out?

Look high look. Low behind and all over. With contact Pete it was a no go cache. Left my blood behind to prove I was here
Yep, it was a DNF for me too! Not sure I like being around such high voltage structures.
Was in the area with Calypso62 and geoboyfriend for some new year caching. This was our first attempt - I wasn't too keen on reaching anyway with the nearby warning signs! Had a quick look but no cache today. And, too many caches, not enough time.
trust the gps the previous log said, well that put me in the middle of the paved area. nothing to reach to here. looked in the obvious spots, lost a pen trying to poke into the obvious spots but still no prize, back to the car for some telescopic tools, they didn't help and I broke them too. the local fire truck did a drive past as I was looking obvious so i decided "right I've had enough of this cache" I"ll be back another time to get the smiley here.
A quick find in the likely of spots saw us back on the road for the next one in the area TFTC
Found quickly in the most obvious locations. Nice to have an easy find once in a while. Tftc
18 from 18 and finally at Warragamba dam. And who said white man can't jump!!! TFTC
Looked for about 20 minutes but had to take off before they locked us in! Will be coming back for this one.
Was feeling around GZ and should have seen this one straight away... DOH!
Found with MissCricklewood and my Gpskyp

Felt a bit uncomfortable here looking around GZ while there was a security guard 60 metres away. Gave it 5 minutes before returning to the geobeast. TFTCM

Geocache # 960.
Found on Saturday, 9th November 2013 at 12:58 PM.
Conditions: sunny.
Current streak # 101 days.
Today's finds 5 of 16.
Morry9 and I headed out from Sydney to attend A Dam Meetings out at Warragamba and decided to make a day of it while we were over that way. After the event, we headed out to tackle a number of the local caches. We soon had the CIH and performed the signing duties before returning the cache and its cammo to the original hiding spot. Clever hide, TFTC TeamBooo.

Went out with part of the limaka team looking for this one for a third time. It was no where to be found. Looked and looked. What to do. How could this one be not found by me again. Called the other half of limaka's team. Still nothing. Well since Booo's Dad was close by I asked for help. It was missing and we placed one not as high up. TFTC.
While doing all the Team Boo caches in the area we thought may as well get this one as we pass. The GPSr did not seem to like this spot and had as in the middle of concrete between spinning around so we spread out and went through the possible hiding spots not knowing the cache type and eventually made the find. We completed the signing duties and re hid. TFTC

Found @ 1546hrs after finding some other TeamBooo hides nearby. The GPSr had us standing in the middle of a concrete slab but with a bit of lateral thinking, allowing for GPS inaccuracy, and Benzito's height, we found this one pretty easily. We thought the re-painting of the cache was pretty clever. Nice hide.

I muggled out at this by Dam workers/ They were working on the electrical boxes. I am not sure if this has affected the cache as I was standing above the fence and I could see it pointed in that direction.
Found it quickly on a boiling hot day. Not quite ideal weather for the planned picnic, but we made the most of the trip anyway.

I conned the other T-Rexs into a morning of caching. I had an ambitious run of 20 planned but secretly knew that I probably wasn't going to see them all today. As I've said before T-Rexs really hate heat and it was going to get to just over 30 - a temp at which T-rexs turn into airconditioner loving couch potatoes. So off we set...
Stop 13.
After I led them all around the wrong side of the fence, we wandered around the right way. Lord T-Rex made a quick find.
Signed, TFTC!

Wasn't sure where the GPS was taking me for this one but I kept trusting it and as I got closer, I went to a higher vantage point where I was able to see what the clue was talking about. Easy grab, sign and replace. TFTC.
We first ended up at the wrong side of the fence, before the GPSr settled down.
Second vist to this place and a nice quick find. I swear the cache wasnt in its hiding place when I was here last time. Any how. TFTC
Catching up on logging after a long christmas break. Been a while so I cannot remember seeing any issues with the cache . TFTC Booo'sDad

Had a good look around at the Dam and returned to find this cache. Geogollum retrieved the cache thanks to his long reach. Nice to be able to go for a cache without any muggles around.
After spending a day out here last weekend ended up back here again. I don't think my GPS has ever been so uncooperative for what should have been an easy find. Tftc
Returning after a couple of dnf's at this one. Easy find today but definitely wasn't there three last time. Tftc
On an arranged mission with All Strung Out to clean up Mulgoa Rd/Silverdale Rd previously passed Caches. Second visit, and a near newish Cache container placed to be found. TFTC
FOUND it (on 2nd attempt) whilst caching the area with whitemushroom............it was a really easy find and am surprised that we didn't find it last time! (perhaps muggled at the time) ......though can see it his been replaced since...so maybe that explains it.
Thanks Booo'sDad! another good'un!

On a rainy/sunny day out with the lovely wife and geokid at Warragamba Dam, we had to do some geocaching.
Looking at the log, we must have just missed someone
I hope they got the caches they were after....

Windsor trip June 2013 with Mtrax, Tankengine and Sol de Lune. There seemed to be a few likely places, but with four of us we still did not managed to locate it. I hope it was not staring us in the face. Thanks.

The team looked for a good 20 mintues, but alas no cigar for this one.....
Looked high, looked low, but the cache didn't want to show it itself.
Thanks anyway.....

Alas - DNF for us... Certainly the difficulty needs to be more than 1.5 - We had 4 pairs of eyes looking for around 20 minutes! That is certainly worth 4 stars for difficulty at least!
Looky here, looky there, reached up. Hmmm not there, or there, or there. Will have to have another look sometime.
towards the end of a long GeoCache day with All Strung Out ... prodded, poked, felt, peered but no Cache ...
We did have a good look, but did not spot it. 3 kids on bikes showed up and started asking us all sorts of questions, so we decided to move on. Will have to come back to explore the new park and information centre.
Co-ords pointed us the the middle of the courtyard. Laeving way too many places to look and we eventually gave up for another nearby one.

We gave up after a while. Tried all the obvious spots and not so obviuos. This one eluded us today.
Took a bit of searching but there she was, with a nice fresh log ready to be filled. Thanks Booo'sDad.
Looked here and there, but thereimer soon got it...where I had already looked.
Nice blending camo.
