It isn't a visit to the Blue Mountains if you don't get a Team Canary cache right? Hello to those who hopefully find this cache tomorrow and thank you Rassilon256 for chauffeuring an incredibly successful caching adventure!
Converted DNF to Smiley, whilst driving up BlueMts to collect a teenager. With TBs Canadian Flag and Swiss Duck in tow. Thanks to CO Team Canary for keeping this active onwards
Like some earlier searchers, I had to concede defeat and will have to try again another day
A nice quick satisfying find on my Friday trek through the mountains. Cool weather but nice and sunny TFTC

To escape the forecasted heat we drove into the Blue Mountains to cool down in a refreshing waterhole. Afterwards we drove up to Wenthworth Falls for a picnic in the park before heading back to the big smoke. Of course I had to pick up a few easy caches.
This was a quick find. Cache is in good condition.

I am gradually catching up with my logging - am currently only a month and a bit behind. But that's still over 100 caches!
To be honest, while I still find searching for caches fun, I'm finding logging less so. But I have to log to get me stats and souvenirs, so...
Only a few Adventure Labs and my First2Finds have been written up in a timely manner - don't want people racing out when it's already been snaffled.
Nevertheless, I have kept up with my 2022 goal of 16 finds per caching day. In fact, for the most part my modus operandi has been to actually aim for 20. So far I've only failed on that a few times, and only by 1 find. Amazingly I'm on track for 19 finds per day, but somehow I expect that will eventually prove too hard as I have to travel a good distance if I want more than a cache a day.
Thanks to all the CO's who have made it possible to keep my goal in sight. Most of the finds have been Traditionals, but a few Puzzle series and the odd other cache type have been grabbed where possible.
Sorry the logs are very generic, but I'll never catch back up otherwise.
###END OF GENERIC ABJECT GROVELLING SECTION###
Decided to hit the Bluies for a few calendar finds today - hoping for at least five to appease the Calendar Caching Gods. Got six before heading home.
That'll do!
###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###
Second find in this series today. Not as picturesque as the other find today, but had me baffled for a minute or so. Then I turned around!
How could I make something so simple so... Anyway.
Signed, replaced and time to head home.

We found this one with my brother four years ago and we were very surprised and pleased that it was still here
We are on another short (four day) caching holiday in Western Sydney and the Blue Mountains, staying for three nights in a park cabin at the Ingenia Nepean River BIG4 Holiday Park at Emu Plains. Planning to collect some of the solved GFA puzzle caches around Luddenham and Wallacia, then visiting the Blue Mountains from Springwood to Wentworth Falls (over two days) for numerous Adventure Labs and other targeted caches.
Today (day 2) we collected caches and Adventure Lab stages from Linden to Wentworth Falls, then completed an Adventure Lab around various parts of Wentworth Falls, before ending the day with a walk around Wentworth Falls Lake to complete an Adventure Lab and collect some more caches that we passed along the way. This was our 10th find of the day (day 2), and 26th find of the holiday.
After collecting a nearby Adventure Lab stage this was the next cache we came to as we drove along Railway Parade. Parked close to the cache and then headed over to GZ for a nice quick find. TNLNSL, and then replaced as found. TFTC Team Canary.

In the mountains for a few days over the holidays. Out caching with some locals who had previously tried at this cache but ended up giving up on geocaching all together. After 3 of us having a search and coming up empty handed , with the sun setting we resorted to calling for help. The cache had been in view for longer than we would like to admit. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache.
To help stop the spread of Covid-19, the NSW Government has ordered everybody to Stay At Home, unless you are: shopping for essentials, receiving medical care, exercising or travelling to work or education.
While some people would regard going geocaching as a form of exercise, exercising has been limited to your Local Government Area or within 10 kilometres of your home. Additionally people are not permitted to leave certain councils except for authorised workers.
Who knows how long this current lock down will last? What I do know, as a health professional, is that every one of us has an important part to play in helping to keep our families, friends and the wider community safe in the fight against the spread of Covid-19, by staying home.
Due to the health authority’s directive, my observations of people breaking the law and finding geocaches outside these rules and the risk that if an infectious person finds one of the caches and another person comes along they could possibly become infected, I have decided to disable this cache and request that no one search for or claim a find whilst this cache is disabled.
Thank you for your co-operation. I look forward to enabling my caches as soon as the Stay At Home orders are relaxed.
Stay safe, Team Canary.

As the ladies went shopping, the boys went caching, well really trigging this morning. Five trig points out past Wentworth Falls was the drawcard, and the lack of walking kept the team enthused. We had some spare time so headed down to Hazelbrook and wound our way back for lunch...
This one took a few minutes before Samuel and his Grandpa made a dual find. Nice hide... TFTC!

And very soon your youngest son will be 20.
Is he still as keen to place caches?
Today I decided to drive out to Narrow Neck to see the pink Flannel Flowers and that meant there was an opportunity to grab some caches in the mountains in some different areas as I usually go by train.
The road has certainly changed, and improved since I last drove this way.
There wasn't much traffic, until I reached Narrow Neck. Seems everyone heading to the Mountains today went there.
I've actually never driven on this side of the rail line in Hazelbrook before. It's very pretty. I can see why you might like to live here.
Now the cache - well it was a quick find but there were several dog walking muggles passing while I was here and then a bunch of cycling ones who stopped right near GZ so I had to wait them out to grab the cache. Had a lot of trouble getting that containere open!!
TFTC # 4416, first for the day.

After a game at Gloria Park this afternoon I thought I'd hang around for some local caches whilst there's a break in the rain. ️ TFTC
Was out searching for this cache as part of the clues to solve the Mystery at the Museum puzzle. No hint, grrrr, and on arriving at gz we realised there there were many, many possible hiding places. Tried one area with no luck, so then switched to a different location and fortunately the cache was spotted there. Phew. Signed the log, and then replaced it all as found. Found with SmudgeyCat SR. Time to head towards the mountains for a few caches and it was a good winter's day to go exploring. Picked up a scattered selection. Found this one without any problem, signed log and headed back to continue the hunt. TFTC.
Winter is a great time in the Blue Mountains, so off we went to pick us various caches placed in far and wide locations. This one was not too hard to find, was retrieved and our name was duly noted on the log. All was then carefully put back in its proper place and we went on our way to find the next hidden treasure. Thank you to Team Canary for placing and maintaining this cache.
Nice quick find on the way to Ironfest. Friendly muggle from over the road said hello and was friendly and interested in the game. TFTC!
Visiting new residents to the area. Walked 650mtrs to look for this one. Oh no! I don't like walking this far and having no luck. But wait. There it is.

A quick find on a day in The Bluies with MrD. He had found it before but even Brew could reach it! Sneaky Team Canary. TFTC
We are been looked after by our Geo Nana and poppy, we think it’s great cause we get to go caching with them. We did a swag of caches today. This was one of them. Thank you all the COs for their hides.
In the Blue Mountains again. J+J.au picked me up and we headed up the highway to get some caches. J+J found this one while I was still getting my bearings. TFTC!
Picked this up with Chalk our Geo grand children, on our travel to Springwood we picked up XQZ. At gz we made a quick find.TFTC
After a DNF a year ago as it had been muggled, I was out caching with WaywardWoman today and headed here on the way home. We were nr GZ when a voice behind asked if we were looking for the cache as a family member had found it recently. After I had found, signed and returned the cache where found we were heading back l to WWs car when another person walking past asked if we were geocaching and that they had already found this one! 2 fellow cachers at one cache... Never happened before to us!! TFTC Team Canary
Thank you son of Tiger for placing this cache. I wish you a great caching career.
A plan was hatched several weeks ago to have a cache run into the Blue Mountains in order to hit up some higher terrain caches, a particular Old School cache as well as some caches that fill in some missing hidden months. Although not specifically on our list of caches to get we dropped by in order to do some recon.
After finding the nearby cache Canary's Dilemma II, Count Jacula wanted to show us her first cache that she found, so we peeled off quickly from the main group who were on their way higher up into the Blue Mountains to our next main target for the day. Once at GZ a quick find was made, signed and replaced as found. Both the cache container and log are in good condition. Thanks for the cache Team Canary.
The following TBs came through for the mileage: Bob geoMinion, Dave geoMinion, Evil geoMinion, Jerry geoMinion, Larry geoMinion, Mary Hyde's Treasure, Stuart geoMinion, teamMerlin's 7 Deadly Ducks Tag (Lust) & Vanlith The Youngling.

Going shopping for parts this weekend. Hopefully the cache will be in the next week.
Out with WaywardWoman early this morning looking for a cache to fill a calendar day. It isnt going to be this one. Neither of us could find it ...
Found on my daily cache challenge.
Very wet day, but cache is all dry. Good hiding spot and container.
Dropped a gold plastic pirate coin in.
Thanks!
