Have to join the crowd unable to find this one. There has been some work done in the area, maybe it went then.
#19085. Time for one more drive by in Palmerston before we head north. TFTC.
Found with StreetWalkerNZ as we continue our journey homeward. After taking the scenic coastal route, from Waihola to Dunedin, we had fewer stops as we headed north but still time to find a few Palmerston caches . It was good to have fine weather for the whole day after experiencing a bit of rain down south.
It is a bit strange looking. TFTC.

Waiting in Palmerston to meet up with niece and nephew to drive up to Christchurch. So taking the opportunity to grab a few caches.

.We are too early for the up coming event so time to explore Palmerston. Miss matched but interesting. Quick snag but cache container broken. Arrange a replacement but left original log to keep this one rolling along. Cheers
Its Anzac Day 25 April and we have an event at Palmerston. So its a day in Palmerston today.
Its another awesome geoventure to Dunedin, with The Seagnoid, Zara, Toby, Jack, Jill and William all along for the trip. Had a wonderful 10 days exploring Dunedin. It was great catching up with local cachers at several events we attended. Lots of walking and driving, with the odd cycle and wave ride to jazz things up. Thanks to all the COs that made this trip a wonderful success. Even managed to bag some lab caches along with wherigos, earth caches and events, with the usual mix taking us to some amazing places..

Yeah! Mis-matched! How odd. Cache container severely broken. Replaced by Taybeedragon.
Taybeedragon and I have an eleven day Easter weekend in Dunedin. Although, let's face it, given that we are from Blenheim and Picton that means two of those days was spent in travelling. In that time we grabbed a smidge over three hundred caches. Not bad, considering the amount of time spent way out on the back roads, on bicycles or canoeing on the water. A few virtuals, larges, letterboxes, earths, wherigos, and even ten lab caches in the haul. An awesome weekend!

After going up Puketapu and having my lunch, I still had some time to have a bit of a walk around the town and pick up a few more caches. Well there was only one place this could have been. I spent some time admiring the property opposite. Very nice. Thanks
Stopped in Palmerston on the way north this afternoon to find a few caches. A quick find here although the container is smashed. Fortunately the ziplock bag is doing its job protecting it or the contents would be rather a mess too. Signed log, TFTC.
Cleaning up some of my unfound caches in the Palmerston area. There are enough left for another trip.
Today is grabbing some caches to reach my 2500 which I plan to do at the top of Palmerston Hill so with that in mind I needed to grab 12 today before facing the hill and this was one of them. Thanks for bringing us on a different road in giving us a different view of the section of the network. The Muggle friend I had is used to getting request for truck for permits on these roads and could see what they look like, so win-win. Now onto the next one.
A quick park and grab while out about heading to Cromwell for new years eve. Grabbing a few caches to get my numbers up so I can crack 2000 before the end of the year. TFTC
Heading home after a caching weekend in Middlemarch with BCD. A quick stop here before making the final leg home. TFTC
After a last minute road trip to middlemarch with kjr it was time to head home grabbing a few along the way. Parked up along the road and walked down for a quick find . cache needs some tlc

Found with Granville86a on a lovely weekend for a caching trip to Palmerston. Thanks for your cache placement
Yep easy to spot but not so easy to get out. people driving past must have wondered what we were doing. On a 11 day caching trip around the south island. Log signed as b+p. Find # 3693. Thanks for the cache Big smoke
A day out in Palmerston for Hevic and I. As mentioned, easy to find, not so easy to extract...! My gloved hands weren't good enough for the job so Hevic's smaller hands had to wrestle it out of its hideyhole. She got there eventually, and when it came time to put it back, it went back in rather easily. Cheers!
Managed to wrangle it out, smacked my hand putting it back! It would be hard to muggle this one!
found with CJ-Curry, thanks

My retrieve this time for my 700th! Found a party popper in the cache! Sorry I had to use it to celebrate!! Haha. TFTC
#2177. I have just flown south today to attend a conference in Oamaru and so have a few hours before nightfall to pick up some caches en route. These are my southernmost caches so far. Will be back this weekend to pick up more around Dunedin. Saw on the GPS there were a few caches in Palmerston so drove into the town to pick up several. Stopped the car, looked at the possibilities and the cache was a fairly quick find. Signed and replaced as found. Harder to get back in place than it was to extract. Thanks for the cache.
This was rather difficult to extract from its hidey hole without doing too much damage to the container.
Cheers for the cache.
Cheers for the cache.
Yes indeed....easy to locate but not so easy to extract! Found with Conbat. TFTC!
Yup was a bit of a twist and turn to realise the log from the cache but I was triumphant even tho the log was a little damp TFTC
Called in for this one on my way past. An easy find but you are not kidding on the hard to extract - and return for that matter. Got there in the end - whew! TFTC #6809
Thanks to all the owners of the geocaches that we found today on our way from Naseby to Ranfurly, Palmerston and Moeraki. We had a beautiful day with a lot of found caches!
TFTC and greetings from Belgium.

After having to drive down this road a couple of times to wait for people to move away (girls on horseback) did get to sign the cache in the end.

Found this cache no problems.
But, I was unable to remove the cache from its place in order to open and sign the log.
I still count this as a find, though.
Cheers

This cache was found on the day I reached 2000 finds in and around Palmerston, Otago. I biked most of them and then grabbed a couple by car on the way home. Thanks very much for placing your cache.

Like to do these sorts of tricky hides. A quick find on another superb Otago geoday.
Thanks for placing this cache!

Another quick find, using the van to block the view of the neighbouring property. Watched the horses running in the field across the way and the tractor cutting the grass (or hitting something hard in the grass along the edge) sounded really bad!! TFTC

A simple find, but indeed tricky to extract. We got there in the end, thanks!
... found it ! ... a quick find but a bit of a challenge to pull the container of it's hiding spot. ... a nearby muggle lady was hangin' up her laundry to dry but appeared to give me no mind as I strolled by her house. ... TFTH
4816. After a couple of extra days in Dunedin after the Mega Event this was our day for travelling back north, and this was our twenty second cache find of the day. After we had found a carpark at a close and safe spot the cache was found after a quick search but it took a bit more effort before the container was accessed and the log signed. Thanks for the cache. Rodney and Iris.
Found while on my way to Oamaru for the day. Did a few in Palmerston on the way. Took me bloody ages to get the container out of its hidding spot. TFTC
Knocking off some of the Palmerston caches having spent all day getting here from Dunedin following the coastal route to Karitane then deciding the camper needed fuel. Nice to catch up with you later on.
After parting ways with the Earthbounds, we are having a slow and leisurely trip north with some sightseeing and of course some geocaching. Cache was soon in hand, logbook signed and cache returned. TFTC.
Found with kiwicampnut after Mega.
Took my tool bag but didn't need it.
Funny how "best practise" changed from place to place and time to time.
Thanks
Found as the rain threatened to stay again.

Last day in Dunedin for Sully1 and I as we visited as many caches as we could before making our way to Oamaru for the last night in NZ. The cold fierce wind today didn't deter us and the range of hides was once again a large one.
This was a nice find, thanks again Big Smoke, like extracting a tooth, didn't want to come out

Found along with bogonghazy after the Mega Event, while picking up as many as we could before leaving Dunedin and beginning the trek towards Christchurch and the inevitable trip home. Sadly the weather had begun to turn on us this morning, but like true Ozzie troopers we continued our NZ assault armed with raincoats. Thanks to the CO for placing this cache, and for bringing us here.

Found during NZ Mega while on a caching expedition to Naseby (for the South Island Orienteering champs) and back to Dunedin via Palmerston. Cache easily found, but it took a bit to retrieve. TFTC.
