Over a year unfound, multiple DNFs and no response to requests for Maintenance. Sadly this looks like it needs Reviewer action, hopefully to get it looked at.

Got there, did the sums, enjoy the stroll, got to a place which look like it, had the right attributes, two of the attributes were there, but the 3rd (the cache) was missing. Pity.

No luck for me today. Not sure if my brain was not working or ? Will come back again

After doing the Wauchope Cemetery multi, I saw another cemetery appear on my geo-map nearby that I'd solved at one point. I couldn't resist another cemetery cache so headed out here to make a quick find.

Thanks for the puzzle and hide Wombat.

I went with Fitzy_1965 for a long weekend drive up the east coast to Port Macquarie caching along the way and visiting several new towns and villages. A highlight was a get together with Pprass & Kat after a few mega 4wd climbs in the afternoon. Day 3 took us back into the hills west of the coast from Pt Macquarie. One too many, but it was fun. A little caching around the outskirts of Pt Macquarie before finishing the day in the Port caravan park. Very civilised.

It was interesting wandering around the cemetery looking for the locations needed to work this one out.

Thanks for the cache Wombat-1

22,005. Found during an epic trip up to Port Macquarie and back with albida33 over a 4 day weekend. Often signed as F65 A33. After heading up to Taree from Goulburn on Friday, we cached up to and reached Port Macquarie yesterday.

Day 3 of our North Coast Adventure, and after slumming it in a Hotel last night (the local Showgrounds and Caravan Parks were not taking anyone who was not self contained. We were even asked if we had bathrooms after I said we were in Swags?????) we were up early for another days caching fun around the Port Macquarie and Wauchope region. We were especially keen to do the Forest Road series today, plus and Challenge Caches which we might be able to get. This was the next find of the day. Gathered the required info, calculated GZ, and off we went. Quick find at GZ. Signed the log, replaced the cache as found, then we headed off to the next one.

Thanks Wombat-1 !!

What a wonderful little cemetery! I wandered off in the general direction the GPS was taking me and came to a sudden stop at the edge of the bush. After a quick look around I could see more graves ahead so I bush bashed through the light scrub and quickly found the appropriate headstone. After gathering the information, doing the sums I headed off to GZ. In the process I startled a rather large hare, not sure who got the biggest fright Big Grin. Arrived at GZ and had a chuckle to myself, great hint. FP awarded for the location, the puzzle and the final.

I initially missed the turnoff to this cemetery. Indiscreet little metal sign or maybe I was distracted by the large piles of discarded gyprock. An interesting cemetery, with graves scattered through parts of the property. Thanks for bringing me here

I found this tucked away cemetery today thanks to this geocache Smile
There are bits 'n' pieces of it spread out for quite a ways [^]

Out where the GPS pointed,
I soon tracked down our Mr & Mrs Smile
With the numbers worked out,
I headed for where I should find a cache.

And there was the prize Big Grin
All good with this entertaining stroll around the stones [^]

Fave dance time ... outside the cemetery of course Red Face

25-Oct-17
The last cache for the day, a nice peaceful little cemetery that we didn't know about. After a short walk to WP1 we found the grave and with a bit of maths had the final coordinates.
We proceeded to walk to the final GZ and made a quick find, the resident ants were not too pleased.
Thanks for the cache.

Brother Colin and I had been out and found the nearby challenge caches. We popped out of the forest not far from this one. Smile

We made our way to the co-ordinates and found the info we wanted. We were a bit confused by the sums, but came up with a few options for GZ. We were not surprised to find where GZ actually was located. Big Grin

18-Apr-16
After finishing work for the day i stopped here and set about solving the multi. apparently my brain must have been frazzled as it took my three goes to get the correct coords. once from reading the info on the tomb wrong then not being able to do simple math. as i was walking towards the final it was fairly obvious where it would be hiding. TFTC

We called in late afternoon to grab this one & were rewarded with a very interesting stroll through this historic cemetery, once at GZ we soon gathered the required information, did the sums & were on way to the cache although there was no rush as we still had a little bit of daylight left so we stopped here & there to read the inscriptions on some of the graves.
The cache itself was soon in hand, we found a TB in the cache & took that with us but now see that it hasn't been logged as being in the cache but we'll "grab it" from its current owner & move it on.
The cache was well thought out & the location very interesting, thankyou for bringing us here Wombat-1.
Took the TB, Ln, sl
TFTC Cheers from CATONY.

Very enjoyable cache! Had two attempts at the coordinate changes and found on the 2nd lap TFTC

29-Dec-12
As we have not done a lot of formula base finds, it took us a little longer than it should to have found this one. That said GailOA and I had a lot of fun with this one. We walked around the cemetery twice (rechecking the maths) before we realised how close we were to GZ. I'm happy to award a favourite point for this one. TFTC

Love these types of caches. After figuring out the puzzle, my GPS pointed me straight to the cache. Thanks!

The guardians are not doing their job..
Another one on the long way home..
Maybe Wombat I will now stop asking "Have you found it yet" Big Grin

02-Oct-12
We would not have been out here if not for geocaching. We were fascinated to read that people frrom Port Macquarie would walk here for a funeral and then return home again. After all Wauchope was the hub of teh area not Port in the earily days, due to timber.
We parked teh car and then followed the arrow, doing a bit of mild bush bashing to get teh the information, however we took the leisurely way back and spotted the cache hide along the way from a distance.
A great cache, thanks Wombat-1.

05-Aug-12
Just a quick check to see if everything is OK and it is.

It also appears that the guardians were having a holiday today.

The cemetry is well maintained & such a peacefull location.

Thanks Wombat-1

Geokids love the history to be found in locations like this. Geohigh schooler commented - wow, now I see a use for algebra! lots of fun and lovely secret spot. And yes the guardians of the cache are really up to their antics.

1115 DNF GAFF1; back and checked the coords from WP1, checked the laptop, and Found cache GAFF3, but about 40m from where I was first looking. Then the long 'haul' back to Taree and work.
Left a MICRO Bible (bring your magnifying glass!) and a plastic bag.
As previously mentioned the ants are very active where the cache is hidden.
TFTC, but I was in too much of a hurry to check the coords of where I found the cache!
Coins thru for mileage.

Didn't find it but had a hilarious time instead.
My wife and I are taking my daughter and 2 of her girlfriends to the theme parks in QLD tomorrow, but how to entertain 3 excited girls tonight, I know take them on night with a full moon to a old cemetery in the bush and of Cause spend entire trip out there talking about scary movies and ghosts.
All was going well till I parked in front of a huge orb spider illuminated in my head lights, that's when I lost the first one, then of cause the Geowife quickly volunteered to stay in the car and look after her. After about 10 minutes of reassurance i managed to get 2 of the girls to come with me, but fair dinkum if I had a back pack they would of climbed in it.
As We got to the first coordinate my torch died and i had to pry one out of one of the girls hand so i could read the tomb stone. As we were heading to the Gz one of my intrepid cache mates noticed a few of the graves had sunk in, so I had to explain that back in the old days they sometimes mistakenly buried people alive and the graves sunk in as they tried to dig there way out, and then I was down to none as there courage left them at that moment and they took of for the car. I had to abandoned the hunt as I had 2 hysterical girls trying to claw there way into the car and 2 more to scared to unlock the doors.
I think I'll come back next week to grab the goods but it will be in day light because I think I scared myself aswell.

Been a long time since I have taken this road inland, so I took the opportunity to have a look here. Interesting spot, took a bit to look around before looking for the cache.
Thanks for the ant warning - they are still there in force! Fortunately, not on the cache itself, but certainly in the hide.
Thanks, Robmc.

Nice easy morning grab, Cache location (Final) full of bull ants though

29-Feb-12
Thanks for the update SquiresSquire.

I do get out there from time to time to give the cache a good spray of pesticide. The infestation is probably resultant from the recent constant heavy rains and these ants have made it a nursery. Not sure whether it will be temporary or long term.

Until I get out there to check on the cache again, I have added dangerous animals and ticks to the attibutes for the cache.

TFTC FOUND WITHOUT CLUES STILL HAD LOOK AROUND THE CEMETERY

08-Nov-11
Found cache easily without solving puzzle...then walked around cemetery to find clues....topsey turvey us!! TFTC

06-Nov-11
Found at 11.50am GAFF2. After some research on the internet, the final co-ords were worked out which seemed plausible. On approaching GZ in the car, those co-ords looked really really good!
Wandered around the cemetery afterwards and it was interesting to see that the Lindsay family nearly took over the whole first corner of the place! As we were leaving we noticed amongst the junk in one of the farmers houses a couple of small aeroplanes! A job of restoration that the farmer "never got aroundtuit!"
Thanks Wombat-1.

This is another classic "didn't know it was here" places. As per the previous logs, I couldn't help myself and looked in a likley place before the geokids even had their seatbelts off. Oh well we had better see what this place has to offer. We went for a wander and had the details in hand. Came back to the car and did the calcs. Sure enough they were spot on and we had the cache in hand this time. Swapped mr muscle and some post it notes for some monkeys and a medalion of some sort. Thanks for the cache and bringing us out here on a cloudless morning. Beautiful. Cheers from the Browngang.

a great day for a geo-drive, we thought, a puzzle cache is just the way to start......as we arrived at the cemetry geohusband says 'wouldn't that be a great spot for a hide'....note to self do not take geohusband on a mystery tour, to a surprise party or a super sleuth event. too good !! we went via tour of this historic site any way which has seen some tampering over the years...

Congratulations Blackie_71 for the FTF.
With the problems experienced finding the cache I had to have another look at the co-ordinates and the data.
It is amazing how people checking each others work can miss such a critical thing... It appears that we were working from GZ to Q1 and the formula had a critical problem (it was sending you from Q1 out into the jungfungle directly away from the cache). So with amendments made, everything should be OK this time.

I think I had an absolute "Barry" looking for this cache today. I got myself to the first waypoint ok despite the torrential rain but when I calculated the coordinates for GZ the GPS kept putting me 90 meters into the paddock next door. Completely ignoring the instructions that said I didn't need to go over the fence I did and even traversed the now raging torrent of water at the bottom of the hill, of course I came up empty handed and pretty wet.

I returned to the first waypoint to recheck my calcs but still came up with the same answer, I couldn't work out what was wrong. As the rain was getting heavier I decide to ditch the puzzle and "think like a cacher" to find cache. It didn't take too long to spot a likely spot and low and behold I had the cache in hand, 230 meters from where I calculated it!!. I quickly signed the log, made a swap and took off for home to dry out.

I'm not 100% sure of what happened but I don't think I entered the final coordinates into the GPS correctly, I look forward to seeing how others go. Thanks for the cache Wombat-1, very interesting area and lots of fun for me on a very wet Monday morning.

Checked site once again as the GPSr had fluctuating readings.
Took an average of all the readings to get what I have...
