A big day out today cleaning up and claiming smileys around the Lakes and York areas. TFTC blingg!
Out and about with Team Barritts for couple of days caching adventures around York and Wandoo NP.
Thanks to all the CO's for their hides and bringing us to these great places.

Hi there blingg. I was out with Mistraluna for a couple of planned days of Geocaching around the FOTT trail near York. We had both worked out finals for all caches and using the Nuvi and both GPS's, all caches were found quickly - and the containers and logs are in good condition. TN, LN, SL. Thanks to blingg for this cache - our find 8306
Team Red Roo and I had made tentative plans to tackle the FOTT 4WD series together sometime after he and his partner got back from their latest grey nomad adventures interstate. And they were gone for over six months this time, so all the solved puzzles, multis and whereigos just had to sit on the backburner and wait. But all is now good after a couple of fun days out there in the bush. We enjoyed the various types of bush we encountered but the wandoo forest were both our favourites. During the time we were away we saw emus, kangaroos, wedgetail eagles, red tail black cockatoos, parrots, perenti, gecko, galahs, twenty-eights, kookaburras, magpies, mudlarks, the list goes on, but what topped it off was the sighting of a couple of wild piglets (we wondered where the mother was, but didn't hang around to find out, lol). And of course, we found many, many geocaches too. After completing the 4WD series, we thought it was about time for some real 4X4 adventuring, so heading on over to try for this one. Yes, worth every bump to get to within 170m or so, then hiked on up from there. Minor damage to the vehicle on the way up caused a few moments of angst for TRR, but seeing the view from up here and finding the cache made it all worthwhile. As per a previous log entry, the container lid is damaged and could do with replacing, but we didn't have a suitable one with us, sorry. TN, LN, SL, replaced as found. Thanks for placing this cache for the rest of us to come and find blingg
Managed to drive within 180m of the cache. Phew... The road is a bit rough. Found the cache easily enough and although the top has cracked all's dry inside. Thanks for bringing us here. Lovely adventure.
We headed out on a lovely winters day to collect some less loved caches and a few more along the FOTT trail. The views were breathtaking and we visited some spectacular locations. We enjoyed the hikes to get to GZ and are happy to say we added our name to the log book and walked away with a smilie TFTC
Out and about with Barnzy12, catching up on logging from the last 2 weeks. Either as i didn't have reception on phone to load up a cache or didn't have an archived saved list. TFTH TFTC
A huge day out today around the wandoo conservation area, mount dale recreation area and the mundaring state Forrest. Huge days caching which really buggered us out, collecting a really solid days caching under the belt, not huge numbers but seeing some awesome places and unique locations.
We planned a mega days caching around these parts but with a late start after the gym this morning and the roads being a little harder to navigate than planned things took a bit longer.
We saw some lovely rocky outcrops, beautiful Forrest, and some beautiful scenery.
Found all caches we attempted today, some 17 finds, all in good condition, a large number of them were ammo tins which was great to see and thankfully no micros!
We finished the day grabbing another of the legendary wandoo series we have somehow managed to miss on our initial two day forray into the series when we were newbies, and our subsequent 15,000 combined finds since, so was nice to knock off more of the series.
Will be back soon to complete the remainder of he caches closer to York including the cluedo series and the caches around mount dale recreation area. Thanks for a great day out!

Out exploring with Bristag we came across this great spot. A hidden little rocky outcrop surrounded by dense scrub my only thought was how did you find it? Thanks for showing us this great bush land.
Wandering about the bush on quest to find some caches this one took us a little off trail but we managed to park 100m away and later realised we probably could have got closer.
An interesting place for a cache, and standing there taking it in it felt a bit like it wouldn't have been discovered if it weren't for satellite imagery.
Thanks for the cache and the drive to the cache, it was lots of fun. Just such a shame to see so many dirt bike in the area. mind you, you should have seen the damage the pigs have done since the recent down pours, it looks like a bulldozer has been through the area. Way more damage than a dozen dirt bikes could muster in a few days!!!

We came to the cache from 'King of the Grass Trees'. We took the side tracks, the back tracks, and even a few "is that even a track????". But here we are at the top of Wandabiniring Rock. What a great spot, and we had a lot of fun getting here. Luckily we were late in the day (5.30pm) because we got to see quite a few kangeroos through the bush. Tftc.
Headed out for a day of exploring the bush around Mt Observation, this was one of the caches we found along the way... We had not read the description until now, but we did come from a totally different direction to find this one Got within 180m of the cache & walked the rest of the way where the prize was quickly found.
TFTC blingg [^] Such a lovely location for a cache & fun getting here too!

Came in from the west, along Pony Road from its junction with Talbot West Road (opposite the Wandoo Topaz cache). There are other ways to approach if you are not comfortable about ignoring the keep-out signs from those Nazis at the Water Corporation.
Pony Road got me to about 730m of the cache, where another track headed off northwards. Followed my nose a bit and parked about 160m away. Walked up the final stretch through some very tranquil woodland. The cache itself was about 10m to the NE of the given coordinates. Lots of places to look but fortunately previous cachers had left a little cairn of rocks to hint at the hiding place. Added another rock to the pile.
Whilst signing the log and enjoying the serenity (too hot for flies today), a Qantas Airbus glided silently overhead on its approach to Perth; so low I could almost touch it. Just one of those pleasant little Geocaching moments. Thanks for the cache, blingg.

This was our 2nd cache find in a caching run of 3 Finds & 0 DNFs today.
We found it at 12:40 so this now makes our total find count 7575.

Wow what a great cache. A spot of dirt road driving, a refreshing walk to stretch our legs, and a decent sized cache at the end of the trek.
After finding over 7500 caches it is really sad to note that the trend of placing small caches (without swaps) is increasing. While nanos and eclipse tins have their place in an urban environment these, along with 200ml Sistemas, seem to be the norm these days even out in more remote areas. [Red]It made us feel really glad to find a large(ish), cache here.[/Red]
[/blue]
Coordinate Accuracy: Excellent (Around 2 metres.)
Cache Condition: Container and log book are in good shape.
Took: Nothing.
Left: Magnetic Bingo Game.
Thanks blingg for the hunt today.

Had fun getting there. Great place. Went long way back to road, was even more fun.
Found after spending the morning staggering around in the bush in an orienteering event

GPS was having problems but was there NickLeth and browsing around the better half found it. Nice views and the orchids are out at this time of the year (check out the spider orchids in the more open area to right of the track when you start going up the hill after crossing the creek bed.
Orienteering close by and decided to check on the cache's wellbeing with Robbo 56, all still in good condition
[:(!] On our way back from Northam we made slight detour to pick up some caches on our way back to Perth, parked the geocar within one hundred and forty meters of GZ and walked in from there, on arrival at GZ we had the cache in hand in a matter of matter of minutes.

Took a while to get there as the roads were rutted but the boys enjoyed the fun, including a muddy crossing. Mrs iluvtrekking and I sorted morning tea while the men tackled the hill.
4WD to the base of the hill along the deaply rutted tracks. The boys ran up the hill to GZ while the girls made the coffee. Thanx blingg.
Another couple of km after Yuring, and a wander up the hill brought us to this lovely spot. Spied lots of nice camping spots along the way. TFTC
Gave up. Turned to leave. There it was at our feet. 8m NE of coords by my receiver.
4WDed in to the base and went for a brief walk up hill to find the cache - only second person here
As I was already half way to here after doing the other new cache I decided to continue out on an extended drive to this cache. Had no trouble navigating the track in. (It seems to be in better condition than the last time I was out this way.) Got as close to the cache as the track would take me and followed some M/C tracks nearly all the way up the rock to the cache. Found without problems. *FTF* somewhere around 4:15pm. No swaps made.
Thanks for the cache.
