My muggle husband and I are on holidays from Brisbane for 4 days all up in port maquarie. I had a few puzzles on my list of to find and turn into smileys. I did read the instructions before heading off and so at gz I saw what I needed to do having found one similar ages ago. At first I tried but mucked up . Then my husband got it first go . Then off to find the cache. We looked and looked and looked. Read the clue and eventually after around 20 minutes I messaged the co who kindly replied straight away. With the information from co we still could not find this cache. The co gave permission to put down a temporary cache and log a find. Giving this a fp for such a fun field puzzle. Thanks for the fun
TFTC,
We stopped in at this great location overnight to catch up with Cat and Pete.
Day 2 and time to move on. However not before another session finding a few more Caches.
Had no problem here. This method is used in one of my Multi caches.
Added a favourite.

On our tour of Port Macquarie came up here to see if we could find this one, wazza9 was pleased when he saw it, he knew exactly what to do. Then off to GZ, took a little while to locate, it was covered with natural things, extracted the container, signed log and replaced, thanks to Browngang.
As the hire car company did not end up giving us a vehicle suitable for off road the caching targets changed. We had ear marked this one before so headed over. Way point one was soon found and sorted and the. Off to way point 2 were we thought it had been muggled as a potential up container was found. Just as we sent off a message to the CO we found the correct one intact and added our name. TFTC.
I was back again today to revisit this past DNF
The waypoint was a quick find,
and I soon had the info I needed to find me a cache
And at GZ,
in a spot that fit the clue perfectly,
I spent an icky 15 minutes trying to find this cache
The decoy bit of wire was found,
lots of sharps containers were found,
and lots of red mud stained me hands
But could I find this little cache ??
Nah !!
One day !!

Called in to see how it was going and both waypoints in good shape and in place!
No luck here - hope it was just us having a bad day. All teh rain made the red dirt very muddy and difficult to search in.

Fourth find of Day 8 of my Road Trip before my middle son’s eighteenth birthday. My last in Port Macquarie.
After some help from the owner I uncovered this very well squirrelled away container!

Despite finding WP1 a figuring out GZ we couldn’t spot the well hidden container although we did find the metallic rope in the description!?!
We shall return in the morning if we can get a pointer.

Wow, what a cache. We found WP1 easily, figured out the coords, all good. But our GPS had us somewhere totally different to the clue... which do we follow? Is Browngang messing with us? We followed both, finally had cache in hand. TFTC
The tool was found quickly but took us 10-15 minutes to find the cache. Even after resorting to the hint it still took some time before we spotted something a bit odd. I guess it is a difficulty 4 for a reason. TFTC.
While playing pirates on the concrete pad kinda looks the part. We found this little beauty as we have had the cords for a long time just waiting of the time to get it after it was replaced send "A" for this one after spotting something suspicious
We are currently on a break from winter in Victoria and have taken the opportunity to check out lots of lovely places on the north coast of NSW. We got as far north as Coffs Harbour before turning for our very leisurely drive back home, stopping every 50 km or so and taking the opportunity to grab as many caches as possible as we go. The beautiful warm weather has returned after a few cool and windy days.
The puzzle had us intrigued, the puzzled and then a bit frustrated, but in the end it became all clear. Once you work it out the answer is clear.
Looking for the cache was quite a challenge. It took us a while as the cache is very safely hidden from prying eyes. However we got there in the end with not too much pain or swearing. A favourite for something quite different, ingenious and solvable on site.

What a glorious sunny day for some Caching and to revisit Port Macquarie. What great views from GZ. Mystery was quickly solved, but had to refer too hint to find Cache. First to sign new log. TNLN TFTC
The cache was a tricky one. Found it eventually with the boss helping. The cache was wet so the owner was notified (ok he wss standing beside me) so it will be fixed and returned
The boys have gone out fishing so I thought I would turn some icons into smilies.
I found the cache fairly easily, however, I am now worried I did not put it back well enough after having read logs about finding it out on the ground. I hope I put it back ok.

We did not find the cache the coordinates lead us to possibly the right area but we think it may have been taken
**# 14389** Found on our extended 2016 winter escape trek .
A nice day for a drive around Port looking for caches.
A quick solve of the co-ords but a long search at GZ and a PAF call for help.
Very well hidden away from the locals who visit here.
Not many muggles around here today.
Thanks for the cache Browngang,

Found first weypoint and retrieved coords but between the wind, the rain and a cranky 3yo we only had time for a very quick look. Will come back under better circumstances i think.
2nd attempt got it , also with the help of geo grandson Ed(4)... thanks Browngang..
I was in the area as I was told by a fellow cacher that it may not be where it is supposed to be. Sure enough it was a couple of meters away on the ground. I found it as I was about to give up myself! All's good now though. Happy caching and cheers from Browngang
A neat puzzle, although we'd have taken much much longer to solve it without the expertise of Skyebomonkeytown. The container was actually sitting exposed on the ground so we've tucked it back in where it looked most appropriate. Great cache. Thanks Browngang.
What great tools! We found this one with MMH&M, who located the tools' container - I managed to bluff them into thinking I'm so amazing by working out how to use the tools (it was just an idea, I didn't actually know!) and we soon had some likely coordinates. A younger couple turned up about now with a phone in their hands in that international geocacher position... But soon disappeared upon sighting us. I'm guessing they discussed whether we were cachers or not and they soon came over and asked us with introductions all round. We let them have a turn at finding the tools and working it out and they soon had it. By that time we had located the cache itself hiding out in the open and we returned it to where we thought it should be. Thanks Browngang for a great idea for a cache - a well deserved favourite point coming your way!
Decided to fill in a bit of time whilst in Port and have wanted to do this cache the last few times I was in the area but never got the Time.
When we arrived and started to wander down to GZ we noticed a large crowd already there. First instincts told us that they had to be geocaching but we turned around and tried to act normal anyway. After a bit more deliberating and a few sheepish glances over their shoulder our way we confirmed they had to be caching so yelled out was soon introduced to everyone.
The cache had already been found for us so that made that quick and easy bytbwe were left in peace to work out the puzzle.
Very cool little field puzzle and something I hadn't seen in a cache before.
Soon the coordinates revealed itself and we wandered over to where the group before us had just been and found the cache.
By the Time we got there they had found it and rehid for us, so with the pressure of extra eyes watching me search I made the find and was even able to borrow a pen, since we were without today... oops.
Thanks for an awesome cache and it was nice to meet a few more caches out in the field.

Well I spent 15mins looking for the tool for the final coords but couldn't locate it. I decided to try the obvious spot based on the hint. Found it after a minute as it wasn't tucked away as well as it could have been. Once signed I pushed it a little further in. TFTC
Finally, at the 4th attempt and after at one point being asked to move on by the police and with a clue from the C.O i found this little sucker, and yes i was all around it many times and must have stared right at it many times and even touched it but did'nt realise it. TFTC I can now sleep easy.
Ok, i spent another 30 mins today all over and under GZ, it cannot be here, surely i am not that blind. The co-ords and clue make the wire GZ, if the cache has been relocated, should'nt the co-ords and clue reflect that. Asking for help for a 2nd time....
Solved the puzzle, found GZ, found the wire, but could not find the cache, searched for 30 mins, even crawled underneath but only found heaps of rubbish. Help....
This was our 2nd attempt. Found it strait away. Must of been drunk last time. Lol not so Easy Peasy !!
Went up here the other day with a friend and because I had found this cache previously I knew where to look, Chris you may need to check as in the cache wasn't there.
Found the first WP easily. Son easily solved the puzzle. Then the fun began. This took us longer than it should have. About to give up, then stepped back and thought where would I hide a cache. Of course, then located the cache and log signed.
Thanks for bringing us to this lovely location.

After solving the first part of this puzzle with my daughter Rishae in early October, we couldn't locate the final resting place... After a hint from the CO I finally got a chance to get back here today and had the cache in hand very quickly... Good job Browngang, nice sneaky hide... TFTC
We went out caching today with Jamiso and Buncai and this was our last of the night before the mozzies got the better of us. Tftc! Very clever!!
Back in Port for another day of caching and this one was first on the list seeing as how we missed it the first time . Thanks to the CO for a"gentle" nudge in the right direction, lucky it wasn't a snake 'cos it would have bitten us the first time . Anyway, all's well that ends well, certainly is a great view from up here. Log sheet is now full. thanks browngang, really enjoyed this puzzle
Today we (Sirius44 and I) was at the lighthouse to watching whales. Then we was coming to this one and searching long. Thank you to making this tricky cache. Regards from Swiss visitors.
Today at Cache Tour in Port Macquarie. Together with buddy9889 search this myster oh we search .... and suddenly we have an Idea und Look on there... so we find this tricky Cache. ) TFTC
Came on a windy afternoon. Found WP1 and figured GZ... well I thought so. Looked a while. Then read clue. Looked where I thought the clue hinted till a car pulled up. It was a newbie geocaching family. I followed them to the puzzle to make sure they figured out how it worked and then had to run. I was behind schedule. I hope they found it.
So, wonder if you can claim a half find . We found the TOTT easily enough, then pondered for a while what to do with them. Then, the penny dropped - AHA! this is how it goes. So, figured out the new co-ords but alas did not find the cache. Three of us scratched around and poked and prodded for a good half hour but nada! Wondering if it has been muggled?? will come back another time anyway.
My Geodaughter Rishae and I went looking for this yesterday and found the first cache after having to wait for the smartphone GPS get itself together, completed the clue, (awesome cipher by the way) and got the coords we needed, alas after looking for a good 40 minutes we called it a day... We will definitely be back to this one soon as I think the mistake we made was not bringing my 10yr old geokid along. He is braver than us two, lol...
We arrived at GZ to find technicians working on a nearby tower, we was a little worried that we might not be able to find the cache without them wondering what we was up to but fortunately it was in a hidden spot and they were too busy.
What a wonderful idea for a cache, we really loved it. It is amazing the ideas one can come up with as to the solution and mine was totally different to Ians. Ian cracked it though and after a few minutes the cache was in hand.
A favorite from us.
Thanks

Found at 14:10 on the second attempt for this cache.
Last time it was raining and I only spent a minute or so looking before it started to pour and I abandoned the search. The cache was not where I thought the obvious location would be based on previous logs and the lie of the land. Well hidden and as stated a sneaky hide.
Cache is surprisingly dry given its location it looks like the O-ring might need to be replaced soon to keep it in good order.

Day 2 of our caching weekend in Port. Found with earthly and robbieracer. Loved this cache. Was a great first wp and a sneaky hiding spot for the final. Thanks for the cache.
Found with earthly65 and brad1987 on our caching long weekend in Port Macquarie....TFTC
Now that I'm living in the area I've begun looking at some of my new local caches.
This one was a cracker, I enjoyed the puzzle and made a quick find.
Thanks for the hunt Browngang. A fav because it's a bit different

Teamdfl and I are heading south to the Port Macquarie region for a 4 day week-end of caching.
Today was day 4 for caching ... and our last.
But we do have time for a few more finds this morning before making our way north. [^]
We have both found a cache similar so knew what to do straight away.
Took a bit longer to find the cache though.
Thanks for the cache.

This is day four of a trip to the area with Brother Colin. We had several challenge caches we wanted to complete and I think the trip has been quite successful.
We were all packed up and making our leisurely way home now. We decided to visit some local caches with favourite points as we left town.
I have done a cache in Brisbane with the same solution method. Quite clever and nicely done. After a false start by heading the wrong way we soon had something that made sense.
Off to GZ. We took way too long to find this one. We were concerned that it was gone when we found a broken keeper wire, but all is well.
A nice easy puzzle thanks

Found It - - WPT1 quick find, [?] Hmmm quick think & maybe if I do this .... Yep that works of to GZ and their it is TFTC
Found it. Didn't take long to figure out how to use the tools in gz1. Off to gz2, stabbed finger on stainless steel cable. stepped back swearing. Hello whats this. gotya.
Found without using the tools at WP 1, jagged it as I was parked in the right location and something looked awry. Found WP 1 anyway and lucky i jagged it as i was a bit perplexed with items.
Fav point from me.
Shame that the trees have taken over the view, as it was a lovely clear day.

We've found mystery caches to be a bit frustrating on occasions previously but this cache was different, arriving at GZ the info was found quickly & having found a similar encryption method previously we soon decoded the co - ords & made a quick find of the cache, great spot for a cache & thoroughly enjoyed this one.

A cool encryption method!. And there was a slug on the cache!! Such a great look out!
TFTC!!! Awesome tools. Genius!!! Solved quickly. Geowife proceeded to GZ and was on hands and knees. Found stainless steel wire from previous logs. Took a long long while before finding cache. Mooo!
Whilst having a wonderful birthday weekend at Port Macquare with C & P Prass we got to revisit this one which was a no find last time. Found the initial clue box really quickly at GZ. Wondered for a short while what to do with the .... and the ......, Bingo, got the co ords and set off to the very short distance. Totally ignoring the prass's hints to start with, I finally got the message. An excellent hide and loved the puzzle. It gets a favourite from me on boths counts.
Thanks for the cache Browngang

Well this was a fun spot to reach by push bike
I feel all the healthier for it
I soon found the 'tools' and worked out where GZ was
And after much mucking about and arguments with the cobblers pegs growing at GZ, I could not find any trace of a cache
I found a length of stainless steel wire, so I must have been close !!
And after half an hour I gave up.
Just as the Telstra work crew turned up.
They are putting a new mobile tower in here and I had a chance to get up close and personal with a fully assembled, but not yet put on top of the mast, mobile phone tower
Fascinating !!
There's a lot of technology sitting around on the ground at the moment doing nothing useful.
Good luck to the guys getting that lot up to the top of the tower !!!

This was another beautiful sunny caching day in Port Macquarie, today we were out with The Drovers and pprass as a tour guide. We really enjoyed the views on the way here but they were a bit blocked by the trees at WP1.
This was a fantastic idea for a puzzle, one we could even solve, although it took two tries to get it right.
Then a nice hide at GZ, this get a favorite from us.
Again our thanks Browngang

Enjoyed learning the local history from Peter and went to many interesting spots.
There was a variety of cache hides, and all well hidden.
A nice little multi, worked out with friends.

There is one thing about caching you learn new things all the time, see some magic views, etc. this cache had the lot, we loved it, the challenge of working it out and of course the magnificant view. Once again thankyou so much Browngang for a great cache

After performing Liebestraume by Liszt at the Bravissimo at the glass house, it was time for some geocaching. I had to have a look for this, but couldn't find WP1 at all, and also GPS wouldn't settle for a good location either. Thanks for the views up here also
Finally found it after a little help
Cant believe how near we were in our initial search and yet managed to over look the vital first cache.
We spent too long dithering around over thinking the whole process. After finding the first cache it was simple enough. Very clever idea.
Thanks Browngang for the cache

Eventually found WP1 after the iphone and the gps had a debate on where to search. The puzzle didn't take long but the search for GZ did. We were too obsessed with the wrong spot for way too long but got there in the end ... and then we were kicking ourselves for making it so much harder than it was. TFTC Browngang, a favourite for a unique cache idea.
Finally found it (With some assistance from the CO... Thank you!) Great hiding spot. Stoked that we can finally tick this one off the list. TFTC.
Found with Ian and Penny today. A bit of deja vu here as this was the site of another cache I did a few years ago. Interesting encryption method.
Out doing a few caches and ran into pprass. Asked for a hint on this one and with this info under our belt made a quick discovery. Thanks Browngang. Loved the first part.
This was our 7th cache find in the caching run, so this now makes our total find count 5495
We had a great day out caching with Alansee, chauffeured around by pprass and cprass. It was a really relaxing day out (with stops for coffee and a lunchtime meal) and all the while Peter kept up a commentary on the local history and points of interest.
A very interesting cache. This one posed an issue for us that we will need to work around - We only send solved puzzles to the GPS (determined by "Corrected Coordinates"), so as this one needs to be solved on site it wasn't in our GPS. Luckily Alansee had the details in his GPS.
Coordinate Accuracy: Excellent (<2m)
Cache Condition: Container and log book are in good shape
Took: Nothing
Left: Nothing
