Logs
Found today as we travelled to nearby Cessnock. Didn't realise it had been archived but found easily and log was signed. TFTC
bshwckr I found your cache Fly Wheel Fly on 25/03/2016, 11:44 AM. This is my find #1725 and find #3 today. Didn't realise this was archived, from one of the photos found the log book and extracted with twissors and replaced in the same spot. Thanks for the cache! TNSLLN
The muggle locals are onto this one. I will archive for now, maybe resurrect later if the location is available.
Over from England, just completed a 2966km campervan journey from Cairns to Taren Point over the last 9 days. Taxi, train and car ride later now back in Cessnock staying with friends and the lure of this cache, albeit quite a walk was too much. Spotted log in its hidey hole but struggled to release it. Note to myself and others, always carry tweezers. SL! TFTC
Found the cache, but had difficulty getting the log out, decided against it. Still no cap. TFTC!
Happy to find this Historical cache very close to the house I lived in, in my childhood. My Grandfather had worked as a Pit Carpenter at the Aberdare Colliery before the Great Depression in the 1930's. He left the Pit to be a professional musician playing trumpet in Jazz Bands playing all the local Dance Halls. So the Fly Wheel took me on a flight down memory lane. TFTC bshwckr
Great spot, found with Mitch and as previous finder noted, there is no cap - but we put some paper in for a log. It will probably get wet though. TFTC
We found the cache, but without a logbook. See the photo. Thanks anyway for the cache.
The cap of the cache has been gone and also the logbook. Greetings from the Netherlands.
As with previous logs the cap and log have gone missing. Thanks for bringing us to see this.
We came with people who found it previously, the camo was missing as is the log.
Up in the hunter valley for out 10 th wedding anniversary. Cache #6 for the day. Sneaky hide! Found with the help of the photos. TFTC.
Das kleine Teil haben wir schnell gefunden.

Love your hint very clever. Found without too much trouble although being a few inches taller would of helped. TFTC JenneG & Budgy
War sehr versteckt, gut gemacht, und vielen Dank für den Cache und weiter viele fünde.
What a great hide this was! Came up to the Hunter Valley today and was keen to get a couple of the caches along the way.
This one's description/hint really interested me so I was looking forward to finding out what I was in for. Pulling up to GZ, I could see exactly what it meant. Did a number of laps and looked in what felt like every little hidey hole, it wasn't until a fellow cacher pulled up to see whether we were looking for the cache or not, when we agreed he promptly gave us a little hint that meant we soon found the hide!
So sneaky! Loved it.
Thanks for highlighting our trip
Cheers.

Well the weather today is a whole other story. The arctic blast has arrived in Cessnock. Took a few laps to locate but by this time fingers were already going numb.

This was first cab off the ranks for today's geomission with Opa-Shrek and Remmus.... We had the place to ourselves, and after a quick once over of the fly wheel I spotted something worth further investigation...and quickly realised it was indeed the cache.... the cupboard was bare but having read recent logs I'd come prepared with a bit of paper from the geomobile to use as a temporary log. Signed our names and made it fit, and we were off on our way! Thanks for a quick grab here bshwckr
Heading to the Hunter Valley with Mumma-Kel and a geokid to do a caching run down the Great North Rd and George Downes Dr from Broke to Central Mangrove, we stopped to grab this drive-by in Cessnock. The cache was easily found but as others have said, there was no log in it to sign ... so we did what any of the recent "finders" could have done in the same position ... we got a piece of paper out of the car and made a temporary log for the cache! It will do the job for a while until the CO can put a proper roll in it.
Thanks for a nice cache to start our day bshwckr, and for the smiley too.

Like the others. Found where I think the log book should be, but no log to sign. Thanks for stopping me here though. Great place.
Raining, a lot of muggles in and out, 4 of us looked for some time, thought I had found it but too high.
Interesting piece of history.
Interesting piece of history.
Found it but couldn't sign the log as there wasn't one. Yes it is the biggest cache we have found! Tftc

Clever hide took a while to spot it
But no log to sign
Did not have a small enough log to leave

Just come from the aberdare colliery, this was interesting to see. Was reasonable easy to find as a hairpin was located nearby. TFTC
Up from Geelong to stay with family locally , so what better way to fill in time than to find some caches. Tack123 wanted to show us this one as he was impressed with it. So he stood back while we searched high and low laughing to himself until the other Triton spotted the very clever hide.
Thanks bshwckr for a great hunt.

Wife cashier went back for a second look and found it. We couldn't retrieve the log out. Very impressed with this one
After flying into Sydney from NZ this morning, I drove as far as Cessnock and went about finding a few local caches before it got dark. Surprised how quickly I found this one, considering how well it blended in with its surroundings! TFTC, a favourite point added!

It took a while, and once again I had to replace the log. I think someone is on to this cache and keeps taking the log.
Visitor tour at Hunter Valley Garden day, enjoyed trip on way to stop some caches area, wow excellent hide as very well, sign in as no trouble... Thanks
Cache is still in place but not retrievable. I will need to revisit with some specialised tools to restore.
Came here this morning en route from North Sydney to Cessnock, almost there.
It was very busy here with Little A's on but no one took any notice of me.
An interesting structure, nice to see some of our history preserved.

Found appropriate item but due to safety concerns leading to a safety fence being around it we were unable to search properly. Thanks to bshwckr who has accepted a photo as proof.
Yup must say this is the biggest cache container I have ever saw. Had a little trouble grabbing the log, but got there. TFTC
Found empty hidey hole and then piece if paper on the ground do wrote in this. Couldn't find a lid do put paper back in. Will need tweezers for retrieval. Might need cache check by CO. Thanks.
Great find with JoeyT - tweezers a necessity and probably needs a new log on sturdier paper - Thanks for a very interesting and informative cache.
The first ride and grab of the day. Even with quite a few muggles around we casually leaned against the biggest cache container we'd ever seen and extracted the paper the previous cacher had left. Thanks for the cache!
Drive up from Sydney this morning followed up by riding and grabbing. This cache was one of the two closest to our motel and on our way out to the ridge line. TFTC
So I came out this way for work today and I thought I would have a quick look. I had a little bit of a climb around on both sides to see what was what, not that I needed to. After a little searching I found something that was not quite right. When I eventually opened it, it was empty. I had a look around on the ground, but I could not find a log anywhere around. I still think what I found is the cache, so I wrote my signature on a scrap piece of paper and sealed it up again. There is room for a dozen or so more signatures, but the CO may want to check it out.
Thanks for the tricky fun hide!

Well that took longer than it should have. Eventually found something slightly different. Bingo. Tftc.

Found by Nanny and Bo on a sunny and warm winter's afternoon.
Helped by an extended family, this interesting cache was a joy.
Certainly the biggest cache container we have ever seen.
We Signed the Log.
We Took Nothing and Left Nothing
Thanks for the cache.

GODDAMN!! That was a bit tricky. Attention to detail needed. One of these things is not like the other. Needs new log book.
Found with Felix the spy, Arwen21 and muggle family. Sneaky hide, but, expecting it from reading the logs, we found it within 30 seconds. Thanks!
