The weather was looking good and I needed to get out of the house, with restrictions lifted in regional Vic I headed out to explore more of Gippsland, armed with My mask and Sanitizer, I had a great day exploring the region, this is one of the caches I found today. Cache was still there and was in my gps so I went and found it.
Thanks Gonefishen07 for the cache.

Was great family drive we are new to the area and this was our very first find thank you to the geocacha
Exploring my neighbourhood. Great site but yes sad. Kids would love this cache as it has lots of swaps. Must remember to take plastic bags and gloves to clean up these beautiful areas
One of the saddest looking picnic areas we’ve seen in a while, overgrown and scattered with rubbish. However, the cache was full on fun swaps which kept the geokids happy! TFTC
Mothers Day: as a mother we work our backsides off the day before to make sure there is enough food, clean clothes and housework done to allow us to have a day off consisting of a sleep in, then enjoy the delights our children have chosen for us from the school mothers day stall and the burnt or under cooked breakfast they have prepared for us. Mine was alright, hot cross buns in May, ethically not sure where I stand on it but gastronomically I had not problem with it!
With the formalities out of the way there was only one thing left to do, a family adventure! Not wandering too far away from home we decided to explore Mount Worth and surrounding backroads and lanes with a BBQ lunch and flavoured milk along the way! This was one of the caches we found along the way, thank you for placing and maintaining the cache for our enjoyment.

Camped at Dumbalk after returning from Tasmania. Looking for a few caches in the area today. Quick find sixth for the day. TFTC

Boxing Day - we were able to indulge ourselves, opening a couple of green boxes and collecting the smiley tokens as we headed homeward after a delightful family Christmas celebration at Berry's Creek.
Thanks to 'Gonefishen07' for placing this cache on the geo-gameboard.

Found cache on Christmas Day. It was a bit buried and may not have been closed properly; contents were damp. I had some time, so I dried it out on the old table top while I picked up some rubbish around the lot. It might still need some dry out time. Returned it to same spot with slightly higher elevation so hopefully won't get waterlogged. If I were on a bike tour, the location would be a good stealth camping spot, but my guess is that it might also be a local stealth hangout.
Found on September 30th at 4.15 pm thanks and good spot apart from the bees in the tree
Not the most *salubrious* of locations to have a picnic especially since the locked gate would tend to discourage visitors, unless they were prepared to navigate their vehicles around the side scraping past the bush, and then to be met with a rather uninviting and derelict picnic bench. Certainly an old school no more! Who would have thought that a school once stood here as not even a fragment of any part of the original structure remains.

Having a good day looking around the area and picking up caches on the way, not much of a picnic ground though but thanks for the cache.

Lovely area and history. Newish picnic table sign, not new picnic table. Not a oarticularly maintained picnic area but curious about the history. Tftc. In hood condition.
Out with Yorsys today collecting a few local caches. I contemplated driving up to the cache location, but having a brand new vehicle with no bush pinstripes, I did not push it. Cache was found quickly enough.
Thanks for placing this cache Gonefishen07

Today we explored Leongatha and surrounds using Geocaching as a guide and picking up a few caches on the way and this was one of them. An easy find. Left Geocoin.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

I actually drove up to the old school playground - a nice spot actually hidden away here.
A nice quick find and we were on our way to the Gatha and home. Thanks Gonefishen07 for this placement.

Boris and I had a bit of extra time on our hands today, so thought it was a good time to pick up a couple of caches on our way home. Saw this one on the map and loving a cache with some history, it wasn't long before we found ourselves parked 9 metres from the cache. It's incredible how something like a school can disappear without a trace. If it wasn't for the sign you would never know.
The cache was found after a short search and was very well hidden.
Thanks Gonefishen07 for the cache and for bringing us here

This weekend marked the second of the much anticipated KAKAGA trips (Kate and Kelly's Amazing Geocaching Adventures). Mummy Short Legs and I were both very excited to be given the opportunity to spend almost two full days together with nothing but a vehicle, our bikes and our GPSs for company. We were not going to let soaring temperatures or bucketloads of flies stop us, we were going to cache our way around the Inverloch/Wonthaggi area till we dropped (or until the geohusbands begged for our return at least!).
This was our first find on day 1 of KAKAGA#2 and the temperature was already well into the 30s. So when we were faced with a large overgrown field of grass we may have glanced at each other rather nervously, anticipating extra unwelcome company of the slithering kind. We picked our path carefully, cursing the GPSs which were obviously suffering some laziness in the heat and were being rather inaccurate. Luckily Mummy Short Legs finally picked up the right scent and found it. Meanwhile I found a poor little baby bird hiding in a log and many jewel spiders. A couple of photos later and a signed log and we were off to cache some more. Thanks for the cache Gonefishen07

KAKAGA Mark 2: Kate And Kelly's Amazing Geocaching Adventure is happening again because we're free of children, chores and work! Hurrah! A trip down to the coast was organised with the New Years events and rail trail in mind and ended with a count of: one emergency department visit, one headbutted tree, one muggle asking if we were looking for drugs, endless swarms of flies, many scratches, one sunburned shoulder, one milestone 1000th cache, great meals, good company and 66 caches.
This was our very first cache - a detour from our Traralgon to Wonthaggi route but a fun one. We dashed up the overgrown track in, hunted around for a while, found a spectacular spider with disco paint on his belly and a baby bird hiding in a tree stump before finding the cache secreted in its hidey hole. Bit creepy having to walk into this area as it's blocked off with knee high grass but we couldn't leave a cache behind soon enough cache was in hand and signed tftc
This would have been such a good location to have gone to school, right on the top of the hill here. A great little piece of history highlighted and a lovely spot to visit.
Thanks to Gonefishen07 for placing this cache and bringing me here.

Nice spot up here. Random picnic table. Quick easy find. Signed log and left a frog. TFTC
Lots of obvious possibilities, but only one had the treasure. After fending off bity ants at a decoy I got the real one. What a lovely spot for a school.
Found with taurus1955 and BentleyTB. A quick find in a lovely area. Loved the location of the picnic table! TFTC
Out exploring the local area with misschief18 and Bentley TB in very drizzly weather but caching is always on the agenda. Coming to another lovely part of the country, quickly had the cache container in hand and the log signed

Suscoe was out and about today heading to Leongatha and Korumburra for a bit of caching.
It was an overcast day which kept the temperature quite pleasant.
We saw some beaut country around here.
Our 11th find of the day.
What an interesting and secluded spot.
A quick find and sign.
Where did all those kids end up we wondered and we enjoyed taking in this location.
Thanks to Gonefishen07 for placing this cache here.
So many schools just disappeared over the years, so sad really!!!!!

You wouldn't know there was a school here once.
If the sign wasn't there.
Out on the road with sqau & d@geo
Thank you for the hide Gonefishen07

We found this cache today at 4:15pm as number 22 of 28 on our Burra and Gatha Melbourne Cup Day Tour. No sign of the school any more but a quick cache collection was made. Thanks from D & S B-A.
Found with tassie expat. Gps initially spinning but settled. Another piece of history here. Tftc
Found fairly quickly with frmen1. Our gps x2 were spinning a bit. Not an easy school for drop off/pick up unless there was another way in. TFTC and history lesson
Who would have known there was a school here! I never knew it existed (it did close just before I was born!) This is a beautiful piece of the world and the views from around this area are just spectacular. Thanks for making our trip home an adventure and a spectacular all at the same time!! TFTC
Out with ceebee2013. If that ring of trees had been there when the school was in use the pupils would not have been distracted, no view whatsoever. TFTC.
23/01/2015 - 7.35pm - Cache No. 328 - 11th for the day - with dgfb33. First place we paused at didn't seem quite right although flora made me stop to take some photos. Wandered some more then realised we were being lead astray. Wandered back & had a poke around at the first place & there it was! Trees enclose the old school site & you wouldn't know there were views just the other side of them. TFTC
Camped at Korumburra, and today we went for a drive in the country side, to pick up a few caches.
Thanks to all the owners, for the effort that you put into the construction and the hides.
This area would make a lovely park, cache found quickly.
Many thanks for placing this cache, Gonefishen07, for us and others to find.

Was a tough find and took a while to remove the wood blocking. Found with jengswan
I've tried this cache before without luck. Today geo-hubby had his eyes on it pretty quickly :)
Last cache for the day. Beautiful afternoon in a gorgeous hidden away spot. TFTC
So many old school sites in these rural areas. A very bright sunny day so we're glad we had our torch with us for this one.
Continued back and grabbed this cache after finding Leongatha Views. Parked the GeoRanger close by and walked up to GZ for the quick find.
Thanks for the cache Gonefishen07.

After tea we headed out on a FTF run inspired by a post on facebook.
We got it and also 6 other caches around the area.
What a great way to end the day.
This was a bit creepy as the fog had rolled in a little and the lone picnic table was just visible.
Lucky we found the cache quickly.

Thanks to everyone who hid caches for me to find, I had so much fun!
