Worked out what needed to be done really quick and had some good cords quite quick but no luck finding cache but then realised that there are multiple for some and soon had another set of cords about 15m away where I quickly located the cache. TFTC

Find #: 3,743Companions: NoneMuggles: A few wanderersWeather: Pleasant spring morningCache condition: GoodI had been jogging nearby and decided to swing by this cache on the way home. I enjoyed wandering around the colourful displays, although had to travel an unexpectedly large distance until I found the first number ("can I have mistaken the method?") and was worried that some could be missing, but once I got to the right section had few problems; some are potentially ambiguous but fine in context. Once at GZ I soon had CIH - TNLNSL TFTC

Found with EverestHigh and MaxAdventurer. This was our last one for the day and though there weren't many roses in bloom, it looks a nice location to have had those wedding photos PPE. I bet you haven't changed much after all those years! After collecting what we needed, it was off to GZ, where I sat down and soon uncovered the cache. TFTC

This rose garden would look fantastic when all the roses are in full bloom, but today in the middle of Winter there are very few roses left. The Mister Lincoln, a dark deep red rose, had a strong scent, which I think was my favourite. OCW MaxAdventurer, Its_Dozzie and Brewmaker. TFTC Purplepeopleater

It took us ages as Ive never dealt with coordinates before its our first geocache with our little ones, been a while. It was very fun! Thanks so much

What a beautiful hunt for this cache! Brought a friend from primary school along reminiscing about how we both avoided swimming in school carnivals back in the day. We were very contended finding the numbers and walking amongst the roses thanks for bringing us back here!

Yay, finally found this one! I have been past this rose garden many times over the years, as I used to swim at Waves, and do Athletics at Roxburgh park, among other things. I have been to the garden itself a few times, however the puzzle wasn't working due to its overhaul. Thankfully CO has revamped the cache to now work with all of the changes, and no more cryptics need to be solved. I had a short walk through the garden in torchlight, and soon had many of the numbers. There were not many flowers growing due to the recent rain, and any that had survived were looking pretty sad. Note that Paris2000 and Apricot Nectar both have multiple options. After deciphering the final coords, I headed to GZ and shortly had the CIH. I grabbed the information for the Marvel TBs, and have picked up Thor and Black Widow to keep moving, and swapped the reviewer tag for a trackable of mine I have kept with me for a good few months and has come up and down NSW with me. Goodbye Drew. Thanks PPE for the maintenance and great cache.

Spent the afternoon re mapping this cache, given that the gardens had undergone extensive refurbishment in late 2023.In addition, in 2023 the rose garden was renamed in dedication to Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, who died in September 2022 after reigning for 70 years. The cache is still disabled as I retrieved the cache container for an update. Should be back in business tomorrow by popular demand.

We did all the work for this back before the upsets, so today were able to find and sign without problem.
Did notice that many of the signs were either not notated or seemed to be different to our information.
Enjoyed the stroll through the roses and marveled at the variety of colours and origins.
Great site and great work thanks Purplepeopleeater

I recently walked through the rose garden and visited the waypoints of this cache. I was able to determine some numbers, others I missed.

Today I was able to finish this cache and found the final good.

Thank you for the good smell

Seriously Mr Reviewer, you intend to archive a 10 year old cache with 29 favourites! The site has been behind construction fences for 2-3 months and I have been checking on a weekly basis constantly.
My last log reflects this and there is nothing I can do about the constriction works performed by Council.
I plan to ride past again tomorrow to check on progress.

The site is under construction and the cache removed. As soon as the works are completed I will re-establish the cache if possible

A quick arvo cache with Irol22. This took a bit as a few of the roses have moved. But a good fun cache. TFTC

Decided to stop and smell the roses and find this cache with Roomar_S. After finding some of the rose bushes had been moved around, we eventually found everything and moved on to find GZ. TFTC.

On a lovely winters day, morty8888 and I had our first day out caching since the lockdown restrictions were eased. Unfortunately we didn't see a lot of roses today as they have been recently pruned, however, we were able to get a few pictures of some roses. We managed to find most of the WPs although we had difficulty figuring out some of the hints. In the end we had enough info to work out where the cache was hiding. After walking over to GZ morty8888 soon had the CIH.

TFTC Purplepeopleater and a worthy FP from me.

First caching day with Oldmorty since the lockdown and restrictions. Perfect weather and we headed to an area we have danced around but not found.
You couldn't be in a more serene place than this. Walked around, found all Wps except wp3. Don't know if to was us or they had changed the roses planted here. Didn't hinder as we soon headed to GZ where we found the cache. Lovely cache. TFTC!

Found the cache. Really enjoyed the roses!

I have roses at home which I love despite the work and these gardens which I have visited before, but they'd just been pruned that day, really show how mass planting looks so much better and the perfume smells fantastic.
Today there were dozens of blooms out.
This is a much better display than in Swanes nursery!
If I lived near here I'd walk geodog here every day.

Everything went smoothly finding the cache. The photos are the roses at WP3, WP5, one named after me, a view of the gardens and my favourite which I'd love in my garden but sadly is no longer for sale.

What a lovely walk around a rose garden, still plenty in bloom. I think they've changed 2 of your clues though Wp3 & Wp5 appear to have had their names changed (will send details in an email). I knew what number I was after for Wp3 so I was in the right place. Photos will appear soon.

I was heading to Castle Towers hoping to pick up a few solved puzzles nearby when I saw this one on the map so I jumped off the bus a few stops early.

What a beautiful rose garden, even in Autumn.

I wandered the beds but failed to find one number, I’m guessing the plaque has changed. I soon spotted what I was after in the gallery though and very soon I had CIH

A lovely romantic multi

At the end of my working day I stopped by this rose garden. Walking through the flower beds, not at their prettiest in autumn I collected the answers. Then it was on to the nearby cache hiding place.

An easy grab of the little box, however it did not contain a log sheet. So I added a log sheet with my name and hid it back into its hiding place.

Photos will be added once I have developed the film roll of my camera.

Did the calcs on Christmas Day when I was around at a family dinner. I didn't have time to complete the find, so I stored the details and returned today. Sadly I found the container out in the open and the log (and everything else) was missing. I'll send a message to the CO with photos of the container and details of where I put it. Would love to visit again. Have posted the requested photos. TFTC.

Another day in the streak collection, a beautiful morning. I collected the numbers the eve before but I might have missed a number or written down a number wrong. So I can back this morning. Easy find once I put clues together. Young school muggles doing their cross country run. A delightful multi. Gz the hide was exposed so I've put a big rock on top and closer the tree.
I'll add other pictures soon. And yes, I smelled some of the roses!

After going to visit family near here we decided to go and Smell the Roses. It was quite a hot afternoon and following the recent very hot days, the roses had gone a little past their best, but were still very beautiful. It was quite pleasant to wander the paths looking for the particular numbers needed to calculate the final resting place for this cache. So many lovely blooms to admire and smell, we just decided to take random photos of some of the best we saw. With the new numbers in hand, it was time to go looking for the cache and that was soon found.
Our visit was recorded on the log and we enjoyed another look at the overall view before heading off.
Thank you to Purplepeopleater for this multi cache in a beautiful place to visit, which gets a favourite point from us.

Had a lovely walk through the garden with the roses in full bloom. Went to all the waypoints and colleted all the information. Had a few problems but it was soon sorted out. Walked over to GZ and soon made a quick and easy find. The log was signed and then the cache was replaced as found. Thank you Purplepeopleater for placing this cache.

Not bad for our first one. Quite hard. After a while we realised that we were looking in the wrong place then everything went smoothly.

Great hiding spot! No point taking photos this time of the year - all WPs look exactly the same.

21-Mar-17
Visiting this park today was our priority and the sun was finally out. This is a very beautiful area and there are so many roses flowering right now despite all the rain. We spent a long while just walking around choosing varieties we could plant at home, but did collect needed information as we came across it. Surprisingly, the heat was what finally made us move off to collect the cache, which was nicely hidden and just large enough to accept a TB. We returned in the afternoon to look again, and the view from the road is one of the best as you can see nearly the whole garden and its flowers. Thanks Purplepeopleater for a special experience, we will have to come back here.

Had some time to duck out with the goeWife to pick up a few caches before soccer presentation this afternoon. She likes multis so I'm not surprised she picked this one. We arrived with the nearby oval in full swing of LA activities so parking was a bit tricky but to our surprise, we had the roses to ourselves. By the lack of blossoms, it's not prime rose season at the moment. She navigated while I took notes and photos. We cottoned on to the method early but we still had a few gaps. After a full circuit we took stock and knew what needed to be found but someone looks to have switched in some new varieties. Calculations done, it didn't take too before we had CIH.

Found this lovely Multi cache as a part of MI Challenge Part 2. My son has done most of legwork on this one. This was not the best time for smelling roses however we had been here before so we could focus on task on hand. It looks like that some name tags have been replaced recently and my iPhone's GPS was al over that place but with some help from Google Earth and common sense we found this cache fairly easily. TFTC

I had 45 minutes to kill whilst my son was doing a martial arts class nearby and that was just the right amount of time to complete this multi-cache.

There was quite a lack of roses in the gardens, with many of the beds being replanted, but that did not prevent me from hunting for waypoints on a very cold evening. Finding the right names was a bit hit and miss for me at some of the waypoints and I had to revisit 2 locations to obtain the correct name.

Once all the correct numbers were found and coordinates calculated it was a short walk to GZ where it took me a couple of minutes before spotting something suspicious... and then the cache!

This was a great way to fill in my spare 45 minutes. TFTC PPE. Smile

This one has been on my "to find" list for quite some time, just waiting for some spare time to go for a wander and indeed, stop and smell the roses! This afternoon saw us attempting this one. Loved the stroll, and loved to see a few people wandering the grounds. Not rose season but the occasional aroma and limited blooms were still lovely. We found all the required info on the waypoints easily enough and soon had some likely coordinates - finding the cache itself took us the longest, we had started looking in the wrong hidey hole to begin with but the hint soon set us straight, with geoboyfriend coming up with the goods - in an obvious place from the right angle. Signing duties completed and cache returned. Thanks PPE, great cache!

First cache for the day,

Don't get around here too much so decided to come for a walk in these nice gardens.

Waypoints were found and clues noted with relative ease, had a slight issue with one of them however on reinspection of our coords realised that there were two signs for the same rose.

GZ was empty and cache was found with relative ease. Cache is in good condition. Interesting to note we were the first people here for 5 months... certainly deserves more visitors for such a lovely spot.

Photos will be uploaded soon off my phone.

Thanks PPE for the cache - a well deserved favourite.

7/09/15. 11:15 AM. Cache #2931. Streak day #442.
2nd of 3 today.

I came here after making a find nearby at "Water Towers #13 - Baulkham Hills". Parked above at the oval and made my way down to the lower gate, so I could start at the beginning. The roses have all been pruned, so this is not the best time of year to come, scent and colour-wise, but it did make my job easier I guess. At least there was some nice jasmine wafting my way. I made my way around all of the waypoints but at a couple of them, I couldn't find any of the named roses. After getting all the way from WPs 1 to 8, I returned to the ones that I had missed and saw that the named roses were a slight distance away.

So now I had all the numbers I needed, having worked out the likely solve method fairly early on in the process. I turned these numbers into a GZ that seemed likely, and then made my way over there for an easy find. After signing the log and taking a TB to move along, I returned to the car via the road and then headed off to Winston Hills for one more cache, "El Guarda". TFTC.

#1888 (1 of 3 today)

Decided to target a few caches close to my 10 kilometre limit today. Found three out of four - or is that 3½? One with help.
END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION
I don't know why I've left this one for so long - maybe the 8 stage multi nature of it - but noticed that there's currently a trackable in there I'm after, so decided to bite the bullet.

Nowhere close by to park - popular place. Finally found one and then noticed that the oval next to the garden was full with a schoolkids athletic carnival. But they weren't really a concern, so I started to grab the information required at the waypoints.

Probably not the best time of year as most of the rises were buds at best - flowers were few and far between.

With all the information gathered I calculated GZ... I'm a digit short! Took me a few minutes to spot the one I'd managed to leave out.
So, with GZ calculated, it was a relatively quick find at GZ - the cache itself clearly visible from the direction from which I approached.

Took back to the car to complete signing duties and swap trackables: grabbed Hawkeye and dropped off the Maurice´s Kilometerzähler - Jeep.

Then replaced with a little more camo.

I had shied away from finding this cache when I was clearing out the surrounding area a long time ago due to the number of waypoints (back when I really wasn't too sure / confident about completing multis, this was a little intimidating). On the hunt for TBs to complete Evil Nemesis #2, I learned that Hawkeye was hiding in this cache and needed to discover him, so eventually found time after school drop off / before work to complete this quaint little cache. I'm really glad I did.

The rose gardens were not busy when I arrived, and I was able to locate all the waypoints fairly easily and gather the required information. The rose season appears to be almost over as we head into autumn, while there were still a few roses blooming and a faint familar scent in the air, quite a lot of them have dropped their flowers in preparation for the winter. I can only imagine how beautiful and pleasant smelling the garden is during the spring, quite a spectacular location for wedding photographs!

Sitting on a step to calculate the final, I headed to GZ soon spotting a likely hiding place and had CIH shortly thereafter. SL and recorded details for Hawkeye on my way to solving Evil Nemesis #2. Thanks so much for creating this great little multi, definitely a perfect place for one and well deserved favourite!

After applying for a new job I thought to celebrate with finding some caches.
This onei have driven by a few times without getting close. Today I parked across the sport field and made my way across. Just my luck that after reaching wp1 that my gps batteries went flat and the spares were back in the car. Oh well, I still have my phone. The hunt for the exact way points was a bit difficult without the accuracy of my Garmin.
After finding all of the waypoints, I put the clues together, and noticed some numbers were off, just to go back to those sites and discover more than one garden bed with the same contents.
In the end I managed to find the cache.
Thanks for the hunt.

Found it - tricky with so many people going for walks. I will return to write in the log in the cache and to take the pics of way points. I live across the road and at present the roses have just been pruned. It will be far better for photos when they are blooming, and I'll "refind" it then Smile TFTC

Returned to collect our prize, thank you for maintaining it.
We understood the hint perfectly being keen gardeners. Both of us never actually had the chance to return before to check if Willy (Simpsons school grounds keeper)
knew if it was there but best to keep it a secret.
Are still disappointed with the state of the gardens and have plans to complain to the council (weeds galore, lack of pruning, lack of mulch, use to see plenty of weddings here). Council can make a good dollar here but fails to see past the fog. Thanks

03-Mar-14
Such a fun challenge! Shame on me for being skeptical about this one.
Some of the WP coordinates aren't perfect, but they were well within a 10 meter radius of the coordinates, and with the WP hints you can't go wrong. If you don't know the answers to some of the WP hints, use google to cross check you've got the right one.
Didn't have any paper, so I had to write the final coordinates on my arm Razz.
The final GZ coordinates were perfect. A classic hide, but a good hide nevertheless. I was searching for about 5 minutes before CIH.
Didn't really get the cache hint, why on earth would you be sleeping there? Lol.
From start to finish, CIH in about 30 minutes.
TFTC, this one deserves a favourite Smile

Living close by, tried our hand at this multi. Quite a warm day for a walk around a lovely garden but felt a little dissapointed at the state of the gardens, maintaining them over the christmas period appears to be slack.
Worked out where it should be but left empty. Plan a return visit to see if, grounds keeper Willy, knows of its existance.
Otherwise might need a cache check, enjoyed our exercise walk though, thanks

We really enjoyed our ramble through the roses. Geo Granny Gibbo came along and we parked her up under a tree. My final waypoint was off but luckily Gibs was spot on. We had to sit while about 100 kids walked by after their swim. Great park. Granny G lives just up the road and has never been here or even heard about it.

As we were close to it, C62 suggested I do this cache. I found this to be an interesting cache after finding all WPs & lost of different types of roses. My mother would have loved this garden & would have really enjoyed smelling the roses. Worthy of a favourite point. As PPE requested, photos were taken & have been attached to log. Thanks for the cache PPE. LS TNLN

This was a lovely cache to do on a sunny public holiday Monday. All the roses are in bloom, looking and smelling beautiful.
We've lived less that a km away for 20 years and often drive past the gardens. This was the first time though that we've actually stopped to smell the roses and wander around the gardens. Thankyou, this is what caching is about. Taking us to new places or encouraging us to appreciate the lovely parks around us.

I love roses, as those who know me intimately know Smile. We almost didn't get to this one, bikerbuddy said turn NOW, we were already at the intersection, but I made the turn!

A lovely garden, we enjoyed walking through it & smelling the occasional rose in bloom. It would be a beautful place to visit when all of the roses were in flower.

The waypoints were easy to find, and we soon had GZ calculated. Bikerbuddy figured out the probable hiding spot as we walked up & quickly had the cache in hand.

Thanks for a very nice multi PPE Smile

We were on our way to another cache when I saw this one on my GPS screen. I quickly logged onto it and recalculated by road, just in time to let Toriaz know that she needed to turn left NOW.

We followed the waypoints about the garden. We gathered information. We calculated the coordinates and found the cache in good condition. The garden isn't at its best at the moment, as the CO acknowledged later in the day when we met him. But it would look great in full bloom. Despite that, some of the roses actually smelt pretty good. We actually took the cache name literally.

Thanks PPE for the cache and your help later in the day.

Preparing caches for my Sydney trip I thought "This sounds like a beautiful place and it is not far from our hotel, let's have it as first Multi in Australia!"
So I walked over here after arrival, and yes, it is a beautiful garden! Nice enough to just walk all around and pick up the clues along the way without bothering much about the waypoint coords. Turned out however some roses have more than one home here, so at least crosschecking waypoints must be recommended Wink
Roses blossing time seems to be almost over, unfortunately, but there were still many beautiful ones to see, and their fragance was wonderful. Thanks for this very nice cache!
Dropped a TB (take note of it's story and treat it respectful!) and will upload the required pics when back home.

It was a glorious day, which obviously meant that all the muggles were in the nearby pool and I had the rose garden all to myself! Took my time perusing the different species of roses until I had all the clues! One thing that puzzled me was that red success seamed to be white!? Oh well, the coords made sense so off I trundled to GZ and spotted the hiding spot on arrival. It just took a quick check around and a "subtle" stretch to retrieve the box. Thanks for a nice little multi - I shall award a fav point!

Found with YGAT on our way through from work. This is a nicely designed multi and one of my favourites. We did not know this well-tended garden existed, thank you for providing the incentive to visit it. Cheers.

Nice day for a find, although I only just found the piece of paper with the numbers. Returned and had a quick find.

Enjoyed walking through the roses today, as they are blooming now.

Awarding a fav point for the effort and the fun.

Thanks PPE!

After letting the boys have a play in the playground next door and a run around on the oval (which wore Little Shoes out completely), it was off to the Rose Garden. With the help of Shoes Junior we soon found the required numbers and had GZ calculated. TNLNSL TFTC.

Visited Geoparents and we had a member of SA cousins with us, so I bet when they visit us from S.A next you will find a found it. Had a bit of trouble with waypoint 6 as this put us near the Bull and Bush pub at B/Hills, so we made the change of cords to find cache. Giving it a fav. SL TFTC

Finally got around to doing our first multi after 603 finds & I can understand why we have waited so long...unfortunately not a fan...this was a great one for us to start with & PPP you did a great job...I think that coming during winter & early evening it wasn't as enjoyable for us...we had no problems finding all the way points & found the cache...glad that we gave it a try at least & got the smiley...T4TC Big GrinBig Grin

Smelt the roses today (or what's left of them)

Worked out the puzzle with Mudflap Kimbo taking the lead

Kimbo soon had another cache in hand and the first find of the day

Great to finally cache together in the sunshine

SL Took batteries left batteries!!

Nice wander around this fantastic place! albeit the wrong season for bloom.

We crossed our own paths a few times but it all made sense in the end.

Nice little hide after crunching the numbers.
