@1310
Down this way from Canberra to attend last night's event and this morning's event at Oura. Cached my way home via Adelong (somewhere I hadn't been before), Tumut and Wee Jasper. I had a good look around but couldn't find this cache.

#5897.
We found this one on an afternoon drive through the country side. This road really had some beautiful scenery. It was rather cold outside, so we did not spend too much time admiring the view from here, but we had plenty opportunity during the drive. Thanks for placing a cache here for us to find.

Great views, thanks. Log damp but not too bad

Off I go with the Canberra geomob for a Tumut invasion for the weekend Big Grin Caching, dinner at the pub, lots of laughs and more caching made for a fantastic weekend with a great bunch of people Smile

Continued on from another one and pulled the geounit over at the wider section. Followed the GPS and then checked all the posts but nothing. Ignored both of those and checked out another spot about 12m back to make the find. Now back down!

Thanks for the hide, The Emongs Cool

I found nothing at GZ, so I read previous logs. Then I extended my search and the cache was quickly located about 15 metres off GZ. My Garmin preferred: S 35° 18.112 E 148° 21.687

Today was the first full day of our caching adventure with Rapidlywild in Tumut. I have never really been to Tumut before and was quite surprised by the size and the beauty of the place. Lovely water ways that were crystal clear. Just a lovely place to drive around and explore.

This one took a bit of searching but eventually came up with the goods.

After arriving into Tumut last night, we got up this morning with intentions to get as many finds as possible. We seen some wonderful scenery today, and loved the running waters around Tumut.

Wasnt where we were expecting it to be (it was about 16m from GZ?) but FFLL eventually located it. Turning the car around was nerve racking, especially at night time. Great vies of the lights of Tumut from up here.

Thanks The Emongs for the placement of this cache[^]Big Grin

Turned around here, but an interesting road that I will have to explore another time. Cache found OK as it had fallen out of its hide and rolled down the hill a bit (an old fence stopped it going further). Put it back where I think it should go.

Thanks

22-Sep-15
OK, it was dark, so we saw bugger all of 99% of the view, but, on a night like this, so clear, Tumut sparkled in the distance making it extra special view.

Town lights shining in the distance on a cool dark night.
Cache was spotted easily.

6506 + 821 = 7327. Found during a run through the Tumut region.

Next stop for the day as I headed out of town for a number of caches. An impressive road to drive along for a few caches. This one had me guessing for a minute - then the hiding location was located ! Now on to the next one.

Thanks again The Emongs !!

Out for a caching adventure to Tumut with Albida and Sol de Lune, drove from Canberra and then stayed in Adelong for the next and continued on to Tumut the next day.
By now it was warming up but still a bit misty but a nice location and worth the drive up here and unsually location to hide the cache..

Tumut 2013 with Sol de Lune and Mtrax. This road has not got any less twisty, and we were able to get the hairpin cache on the way up. Definitely a great spot and I am glad we made the detour. Thanks.

The best types of caches are those in places that have amazing scenery and that you would be happy to visit even if you do not find the cache. The views are here are simply sensational and I have never noticed them before because I have been concentrating on the roads way too much as the road is disturbingly narrow on a steep hill and as noted has no safety rails.... The Eyrette and I admired the scenery as the golden dawn lit the dry hills, the glow was simply stunning. Cache was found, the daughter made swaps and we returned the cache to its place before we returned to surveying the land below. We plan to return on bikes and ride down the hill, not up for little legs. Thanks Emongs.

Drove past on the way up and missed the parking spot but got it on the way back down after 2 more along Argalong road. Thanks.

Found it on the way to the Snowy Mountains. The cache was well hidden by leafs. Therefore I had to search a while. Took a TB (Flying Pig). Thanks for the cache Emongs!

You really can see for miles. We made this harder than it had to be due to gps wondering but found in the end.

With Mr Emong chasing my tail on cache numbers, figure I better not forget to log any of my finds. Enjoyed the drive and of course the magnificent views. Bit worried though about the obvious deterioration in the sides of the road so good to see that someone (shire) is doing something to reinforce the road edges.

Had been to the hairpin cache last year, so it was good to come back and enjoy the views again.

Parking was simple and the goods found quickly. We signed the log and enjoyed the views for probably 50 miles.

Thanks to The Emongs for another enjoyable cache.
