Up with ABCDF4 and eyespyben again. A wet day but spent time grabbing caches before we were too wet and headed back to the Waikato. On our way back to the car we stopped for this one. While I went to one place the others tried somewhere else. Thankfully it was a quick find for me. Cache all good. Thank you for the placement
International Geocaching DayOff to Auckland with KGD & EyespyBenWeather was just light rain when we arrived in Auckland. The Plan was lets go and get as many as we can until we get wet. Then fine somewhere dry to get changed before heading homeIn the wrong garden for this one but muggles around today to wet
Have been passed the campus many times but always the weekends when it has been closed. Here on a Friday this time. Quiet in the courtyard today.
M25: I came here a few times for working as a TV background extra for certain showsBut since there were other people, I never had the chance to get this cache. This time, me and m15 went ahead when no one was around, and looked around in certain areas with no luck. Then I suggested an area and... there it was! GPS was slightly off, but due to widening our search, it was all good.Log all good and signed here. TFTC.
Nice quick find, trusting the gut on where to look first. hint was spot on. Picked up a bit of rubbish for the property owners while we were here.:3
l had a "hiccup" writing this log but anyway hint spot on. my last day in Auckland. Thanks to all the Co's for their hides
Thanks for the cache! Took a little time because I was wandering around trying not to look shady!
Couple of visits, each testing a different theory, finally a successful hunt (thanks Rumpyrocketeers)! Thanks for the cache!!
Thank you so much, was a great experience for me, my mom and grandmother who is visiting from Chile. Gracias
Spent a while looking after the groundskeeper left but where unable to locate the cache - hope the groundskeeper didnt find it. Will come back another day to try again.
Area was deserted but felt quite self conscious during my search! Recent find gave me confidence that it was there. Should have had a more thorough look as it was where I initially thought! Have taken the trackable and will move it to a more frequented location to help it in its travels
With the last log being a DNF I was concerned I was going to come up empty handed too. I can’t tell you how many sweeps of the area I did but I finally found it! The coordinates are slightly off so the clues from previous finders helped. I have left a couple of items
No staff, no people, no cashe….
Should have been obvious but it was just not there:-(
Should have been obvious but it was just not there:-(
Thanks for the cache. Took us a while the pin drop wasn’t quite were we expected it
Gates being locked up as I arrived so will give it a go earlier next time... Hoping I get harassed by "security" and "management" so I can ensure they do call the Poolice, and waste their time, while I educate the whole lot of them in a big lesson of I'm right and your wrong
Out and about for a day of caching and getting to know the area.
Read previous logs, so GZ was obvious, still took a while to locate.
All in good order here.

368. Thank you NutJobz for their good hint - it helped heaps! The hint is really good too. We took a few minutes to find it and it’s completed the last one in the area. TFTC.
Hmm this one wasn't great, security around made me feel like I was doing something really shady. Not an overall pleasant cache to find but at least it's done!
One of the most horrible experiences we’ve ever had geocaching! Accosted by “security” and the “property manager”, neither of which wore a uniform or had any kind of ID. They proceeded to yell at us to leave the private property. We replied that it wasn’t private and that we were geocaching which could only happen on public property. “Security” proceeded to “call the police”. Whilst Bird was trying to find out exactly what was wrong, Phil found the cache and signed the log with the handy pencil included! Glad it’s done and shall now be reporting the experience to the powers that be. Suggested to CO that cache is moved, disabled or archived to save anyone else having such a nasty experience. SL TFTC (kinda!) Another dot day complete
Yes the hint was helpful in the end. Lots of people wandering around looking for the vaccination place so no one noticed me. TFTC
After an appointment on the campus I could not leave without trying to find this cache. I think I got lucky today and the students must still be doing online learning as there were none around at lunchtime. I found the hint item quickly but felt a bit wrong searching. Nothing else looked likely so I had to search. It turns out I should have just trusted my instinct. Happy to make a find here. Thanks for the cache.
Whenever we drive past here the gates always appear to be shut so we never come to look.Again as we drove past today the main gate was shut but as we carried on up the road noticed another way in.Parked up and made our way over to GZ.Looked in a few places before we managed to make this find.Good job there were no students about today as having the place to ourselves really helped.
Needed a cache for dot day today. Saw we would be passing this on the map so decided to stop by.
Very deserted which has an eerie feeling - reminded me a bit of the Karaka Paintballing / Spookers site with buildings just abandoned all around.
Anyway back to the cache. I looked in what I thought the obvious place was based on the hint but came up blank. Followed the GPS to a spot further away and then another 2 that had similar cover with no luck. Cragger and Laval had been waiting in the car because they didnt want to help today so asked them to come as I was stuck. Took laval only a few minutes to find it sitting right where I had started in the obvious spot that matches the hint....argh!!

In the area with Merlot58 on a cold but sunny Saturday winters morning, and had time for one more cache before heading home. The campus was deserted today which was just as well as it took us a while to find this one. We were almost going to give up, when Merlot located the cache.
It was all quiet here today thank goodness as this took way longer to find than it should have as I think we both misinterpreted the hint. After thoroughly searching several places and ready to give up I decided to search 'over there' and that is where I found the cache. Whew, thankfully this has finally got a smiley!
The campus was quite deserted being the break between semesters, so I had the place mostly to myself. There were two professor-type muggles who made a appearance, but I just played with my cellphone. Professors must be used to people fiddling with their cell phones, so they just walked by without noticing that I was a couple of years older than most students.
On to the search. It all depends on your interpretation of two words in the hint. Since I always get these wrong, I went to several incorrect places before I revised my interpretation and found the cache. TFTC.

Out today to get my numbers up for the year and too make sure I can get all thos beautiful Hidden Creatures . . .thanks for the hide
Caught the train out to Glen Innes for some caching after work. I walked through the carpark to reach the GZ, good hint had me searching the right place first time here, TFTC
Good hiding spot, not too hard if u follow the instructions. Doing this on a Saturday so the place is deserted.
I'm currently up in Auckland for the Queens Birthday long weekend, and have been meaning to get around to doing a few of the more interesting caches in the Mt Wellington area.
So seeing as the weather today was bloody gorgeous I figured "why not?"
I had had a great day so far, and late this afternoon I was after a few easier caches to put the cherry on the top. This one seemed to fit the bill, especially as at this time of the day I was hoping that there wouldn't be too many people around.
I was initially looking in the wrong shrubbery bed, but I then re-read the Hint, looked around, and spotted a likely hiding place. I soon had the cache in hand. It was dirty, but otherwise fine. The contents were dry so it was a quick sign of the log before putting it back exactly as was found.
Thank you for placing this cache.

Finally found after 3rd attempt. We just needed to pay more attention to the hint and then there it was. Really nice hide thanks
Definitely easier to do this on the weekend. Absolutely no-one around. The GPS struggled to pick us up but the clue told us where to look. TFTC
Kiwi was working so a trip out to meet him at lunch time was called for as a Fathers Day card was ready for handing over. Why not squeeze the daily cache in as a bonus? Nobody around due to it being a Sunday. Very quickly found once the standard placements had been ruled out. Streak continues #987, can we overtake you Sonia26642...? !! ( I doubt it )
A bit of a quite time in between groups of peple and a guy cleaning the windows. Mission accomplished, this one is a wrap. Thanks for the cache from Blenheim Bear!

Sunday's a pretty good day for this one. No one is around. Paid attention to the clue and found it quickly
Haha that's awesome. I used to come here all the time for lectures before I knew about geocaching. Definitely brings back memories! Thanks!
Tftc. Nicely hidden no body around at all so we had free range. GPS was on to it though a little bouncy.
It was last found so long ago that I wondered if it would still be in situ. There was a rush of students as I arrived in the area but they soon went to their lectures and I carefully searched the area. Had to stop and start several times as waves of students wandered through but eventually had the cache in hand. TFTC.
Found about a week back after Okayness informed me I was about one hundred metres from it. Even though it's a high muggle area, there was no chance of being spotted - may have helped that it was 6pm in the winter! Thanks for the funny little spot
Was at the campus for an orienteering event and took the opportunity to go for a walk beforehand. Picked the right spot to look and made a quick find. TFTC
That took a few searches around all the cafes ha-ha having the app definitely makes it easier good little find

Took some looking but got there in the end
Clever hide, the hint was great in hindsight!

#452 Came through on an empty day on campus. Quickly found thanks to the hint. Would have had little chance when muggles around.

I found the search for this one a bit ridiculous and very frustrating.
Maybe there is another way how to interpret the hint and maybe I just didn't understand something. But currently I don't like this hide. OK, there are times when this area is muggle-free (there was no one around at the time, completely 28-days-later-ish) but I found a lot of places that corresponded with the hint as far as my understanding went and the coords were jumpy so I checked some places but then gave up.

Yay! My second find. No uni students around - even on a Friday afternoon! An easy find. TFTC
Checked all obvious spots to no avail. Hopefully it hasn't gone. Might have to check back at a later date.

Yes a good time to visit this one, bonus too I've just finished an appointment at the Dietitic clinic so a win there...
I've taken Goofy to my place in return I've left a piece of Meola Bay, lava rock, a bit out of its natural environment but considering how long it took to travel it's last 10 or so kms that many years ago this would be a welcoming site for it... I hope it's new owner appreciates it's mammoth journey and history...
Off to my next cache challenge e)

Finally we filled in one of the last blips on the map in this area. We have searched this place before but come up empty handed. Today went back to exactly the same place that we had searched before and immediately had the cache in hand. This was a very satisfying smiley
The clue saved us a lot of stress and tears. Definitely avoid during high muggle concentrations.
Hardly anyone around today. Thought we did a good search, but obviously not good enough!
Didn't get a chance to search for this one. 3.30pm on a Friday & there were people sitting talking outside near the GZ. Will have to came back another time.
On our last day in Auckland as we have to return to the Homeland . Had a great week of caching around the north island and saw a lot of wildlife .... TFTC
Went out this morning with yorkshirekiwi83 for a few caches around the Mt Wellington / Stonefields area. Took a few minutes searching through the bushes for this one - a surprisingly tricky find! TFTC!
Vistra and I had another morning of caching together in the Mount Wellington / Stonefields area. Did exactly what everyone else did, searched the area and didnt spot it, went for round two and soon had it in hand and was super surprised by the size of it!!! TFTC
