Subspace inspectors undertook an analysis of the Germ-hole this morning, and it appears that it has suffered the impact of a high-intensity muggleonium device which has vaporized the inner core, leaving only the outer rim intact.
While considerations were made regarding a re-initialisation of the core, the risk of this occurring again now that the location and form of the Germ-hole has been disclosed to unknown parties - especially when there are time-space bridge (TB) items involved - means that we believe this would be unwise. In addition, the quantum forces have taken their toll on the surrounding landscape, so investigations will commence into seeing whether the event-horizon can be 'nudged' by a small fraction of a light-year to a safer unknown location.
Please stay up to date with your local theoretical physics peer-reviewed journal for information pertaining to its status.
We deeply apologise also to those who have lost travellers in this incident. It is something that in construction and maintenance we sought to avoid at all costs, but sometimes forces greater than physics come to play. The new form of the Germ-hole will seek to minimise these even further.

On arriving at GZ we were impressed by the cache and the way it had been put together. On opening we found it empty no TB's no log book. We looked around and could find any evidence of muggle damage the cache had been returned to it's correct position and the only discard we could find was a clip lock bag which may have been from the cache. I had a TB to drop off but decided to hold on to it for now Whyt knight and I put a piece of paper in lieu of the log book.
Despite recent turbulences around the Germ-Hole location six TB items have safely transitioned to the Australian end and are keenly awaiting further adventures. Sincerly hoping the wormhole will stabilise again....
This is bad news. No log book and no TBs sounds like a muggling to me. I'll investigate tonight.
Apologies to those with TBs in there. One can only hope they've been accidentally taken by an absent-minded cacher.

A quick find at midnight in the company of the geowife and emeraldflame. This is a great idea executed extremely well. I'm however saddened to learn of its demise and hope it can be resurrected in some form again in due course.
Thanks to Happy Chappies for the cache. TNLN

Found at 12:43 PM GAFF1. I used to come here twice a week at lunch time with a group of work mates when I was working at the Pinewood offices. Tried to regain my fitness, but after 4 months it was no hope .
Enjoyed the story and the cache container is probably the best of its type that we have seen - very authentic.
Thanks Happy Chappies,

Thanks Happy Chappies,
Sorry about the late log - and sad to hear the location has been compromised. What a great cache this was. TFTC
Needed a good sized cache to get rid of some TB's that I have had for a while. Didnt realize what happens to the TB's in this so am glad I placed 2 in there.
Took the one that was in there and will Move on ASAP
TFTC Great Hide.

Back to my favourite "event horizon" to Europe. Found a TB that is racing to Denmark and after a run around Oz could do with a lift.
Quick easy find, very cleverly engineered!
Favourite point from me, and will definitely be using it to transport TBs as required.

Automated Germ-Hole Status update: 7-1-13
Wormhole activated 1731 hours. Witnesses present, creating high risk of accidental exposure to gamma radiation and sub-atomic particles. Both parties escaped unscathed - will continue observances for future mutations.
Energy conditions optimal. Stable link formed.
Time-space Bridge (TB) item achieved superluminal acceleration and has departed from the event horizon. Estimate arrival time of 2 weeks (or so).

This started as your normal, everyday cache hunt: park the car conveniently, go for a walk, following the little arrow... then the anomalies crept in. Firstly, the time-space displacement facility was located fairly quickly, but posed the question of how much fun the engineers involved must have had getting it in its proper alignment.
Once accessed, there was the shocking realisation. "My God. It's full of Bugs!"
Then things got really interesting. As I was combing through the bounty of TBs for the log, a voice emanated from the top of the ridge. "You caching? Sprung!" It was the CO. So I had the honour of being the first outsider to witness the activation of the wormhole.
Thanks, Happy Chappies, for this unique cache. It is always great to chat with cache owners about their creations.
Supplemental: it's a good thing I don't attempt to log every bug and coin I find, otherwise we'd both have been there until midnight.

Today's mission as well as grabbing at least one cache for project 366, was to get two TBs I was holding sucessfully in to The Germ-hole before it activates next week. The TBs belong to a brother & sister from New Zealand and I was to set them off on their race back to the UK somewhere in Melbourne. However in looking for 2 safe caches to start the race I discovered that the event horizon may be imminent so where better to place them. A leg up into the Northern Hemisphere and lots of active cachers in Germany to really get the race going.
A very clever little hide, how the dickens did you get that camouflage there or was it already there? Definitely a favourite point.
Sadly the days caching was not as productive, a case of McWomble 2 - Muggles 7 - every other cache had a muggle lurking showing no intention of moving on.
Thanks for a brilliant little cache and thanks for the transportation service.

Have received recent data that suggest the Germ-hole's event horizon may activate on the 7th of January. If you want anything to be part of that event, get it in before then!
Visited the germ-hole today and added a Winter Olympics TB to travel to Germany. As I was approaching the germ hole there was evidence that the worm hole was active (cracking in nearby terra firma) and as the geo-container is getting rather full - I am hoping that the germ hole will activate soon and deliver the TBs to the other side of the world. Left Winter Olympics TB and signed log but didn't take anything.
Thanks a lot for the brilliant cache Happy Chappies which gets a favourite point from me today.

We wanted to see some really good caches this afternoon and this one did not disappoint. The little shark TB expressed an interest in heading to the beach so He'll be there tomorrow instead of sweltering in the city.... thats no place for a shark.
Picked this one up on the way to a friends house... also dropped off Puffy the Penguin!.. Hope he gets to travel far and wide into Europe and maybe in Asia too.. TFTC!
Dropped off a TB bound for the telescopes of the world. Fantastic cache and discovered quite a few bugs waiting for portal to be activated.
Stopped by on the way home, to let the little Kangaroo of. It likes to hop to Germany
Stopping to drop off a trackable I have been carrying around to about a dozen or so caches. It can go anywhere, doesn't need to go to Germany.
Found the Red Remembrance Poppies Geocoin some time ago and thought the Germ Hole could get it closer to its destination. Took The GGG's to the area to find this cache.
Great cache! Excellent camo! Wonderful idea! Dropped off a TB that wants to get to the UK. Thanks for the opportunity to use the Germ Hole........
We came here deliberately to drop-off the Ladybird Geocion so that it can go back to Germany.
Thanks to Happy Chappies for providing this facility.

Another virtual visit to the Germ-Hole to drop off a lucky trackables which wanted to escape the cold in Germany.
Just stopping by to one of my favorite caches to drop off my first 2 trackables. TFTC.
Dropped off a very interesting duck TB who wants to get to Germany ASAP as part of a competition.
20/11/2012 23:40 I had an hour to drive south for a find so got all the way down here. This looked doable so I headed to the small park entrance next to the house. Got to the back and started making my way through the flora till I was at GZ. I immediately saw something odd and tried to move it. Nuffin, so I looked around here and there. Back at the first object I gave it a good go and then noticed something else that looked odd, finally the box was revealed and I smiled to myself. A quick find and a VERY nicely camoed job. No idea how this one was brought in but it is very good indeed. Signed and stamped whilst the damn flying critters starting to attack me as I had the flashlight on (of course). I took note of the two TB's inside for discovery. TFTC Happy Chappies TNLN SL
Nice quick find on this cache. The second cache outside WA. And the best. TFTC. Fav from me.
Again I make a a journey to this great cache. Every time I find a TB that wants to hitch a ride to Europe I know exactly where to go! Soon I will have to make a contribution to the upkeep of this cache! This one wants to go to Europe and be there by Christmas - Not sure if it will pass through the horizon and make it!
After dropping off my daughter at dancing and was driving by, thought I'd look for this one. Excellent "camouflage". Found it fairly quick after thinking "why would that be there?". Car park was packed with muggles going to swimming lessons but managed to duck dodgily into the bushes unnoticed.
Excellent cache. Loved the 'camo'. Found this cache on an after work walkabout in the area. Did a double take when I zero'd out and then there was the cache. I may have inadvertently caused a bit of a rift in the space-time continuum as I hadn't fully read the implications of this listing. I've grabbed a couple of trackables from here so hope to set them on track on their missions as soon as I can. TFTC, Biggles.
Awesome camouflage and a great idea for a cache.
TBs logged and swapped and log duly signed.
TFTC.

Was actually heading down the road to collect another cache when I noticed this one pop up on the GPS. OK I'll get this one too! Love a bold hide!! Unfortunately I don't have any TBs to drop off at the moment, but I will bring some back sometime soon.
A very intriguing one. I do wonder how it got here. Favourite point well-deserved!
After the Cup Day Event I came here with Riddell and an an other young cacher from Singapur, to take a look, where the place is the Coins and TBs disappear before they show up again at the other side of the world.
It's really a nice place. Actually I only had a Coin coming from Germany so I didn't drop it of here.

What a brilliant cache, a very clever hide. Left some Travel Flags to go to various places in Europe via Germany... TFTC.
Dropped in to check the cache and clear out any remaining TBs.
I have it on good authority that the sub-space forces are aligning and another wormhole will be forming this week.

After a quick trip out to a kayak shop, it was time for PAthfinder24 and I to cache our way to the next shop. As this area was within range of his house, whilst completing his 365 days of caching in a row, most of the ones we found, he had already done! Oh well, all the more for me.
I love this for a cache idea. There were only three TB's in residence, so I hope the rest are traveling. It is a very tricky and well put together cache, which I found much quicker than Pathfinder24 did on his visit here and I didn't even get a hint! A favorite from me.
Thanks for the cache Happy Chappies.

dropped this tb: TB Race 2012 no.03: Pavel_ZR & team and placed into germ hole.... sorry some how forgot to log it. not sure if it has moved on or not..but its destination was the czech Republic
In response to the log by Jawi 2Toes, I occasionally drop by and remove the TBs for safekeeping until I collect enough to post them. This is to ensure that they don't accidentally get taken or muggled. So the 8 missing TBs are in safe hands (ie. mine!)
Great hide. Found with Bluejay40. Only had 1 trackable in it thou. 8 others missing.
Omg what a hiding spot well done 5 for the day with jawi2toes we are on a roll today this is the best one
29/08/12 3:34 PM Find #1812
great camo, loved the hide <3
Book appears a little damp, could the next finder bring a snap lock replacement bag plz

Third time lucky - last two times too many muggles here to even contemplate leaving the carpark. Geokids "freaked" at number of travel bugs in the cache! TFTC
Thanks for the update quiet1_au. This place is sure filling up fast these days (which I'll take as a good sign, even if my wallet disagrees )
Dropped in this morning to clear it out, and the next transport should take place soon (Once the previous transport has been confirmed)

I was passing by so I dropped by to drop off a travelbug I picked up earlier today and record the occupants in the hope they were new to me (I think they all were too!) Cache is chockers with travelbugs and a geocoin and could do with emptying to make room soon. TFTC
We had to come up this way tonight so decided that we couldn't pass this cache by. We entered the bush in the dark and only one torch between us so it made searching a little difficult. We got a bit distracted by a contraption that we thought might be the cache but had soon discovered what we were after. TFTC.

Was passing by today, so dropped off a couple of trackables in this most excellent cache. I was glad to have another look at your craftsmanship!
Wow! I'm impressed by the effort to create this cache - worth a fave point for sure. I added to the TB count, but unfortunately having not fully read the cache notes until now, I also subtracted a geocoin from the count.

I actually walked past the obvious here and searched a little wider as my GPS refused to believe where it was. This is a great cache, and well worth the favorite point I'm giving it.
Something out of the ordinary, love the work.

Great camo, loved the hide. I hope you can help us get the TB closer to Oregon USA than we can.

saw the hide and thought is that it ? checked it out ...... sure is......

Dropped in this afternoon to clear out the cache of TBs and such, so it's now ready to go for more German-bound travellers...
love the idea of this cache well constructed and such a special container wished i had some swaps to place inside thanks for the cache and the great idea
GeoSon was bored during the school holidays and decided to go and do this cache. He went with a muggle-mate who has been on a few finds with us in search for the container. Got to GZ and overlooked the cache container at first. Mystified as he hadn't seen seen this type of container before. he returned home to read the logs and then went back for a second search. Not long after he made happily made his find. Dropped two TB's for their trip up north.
I revisited this cache this evening as I remembered passing it Friday night but was too late to turn off for. A bit quieter tonight anyway, and it was worth my visit as I discovered a treasure trove of travel-bugs and geocoins, and squeezed one more into it too! Although counting my recorded ID codes, there seemed to be a couple missing?... I still smile at the sneaky camouflage of this one
Found at 1:03pm.
I had found this by accident while on a gnome hunt 6 or 7 months ago but not being a premium member, couldn't log it. I came past today with a TB looking to return to Germany. I signed the log (again) and dropped in the TB while keeping the geokids from stepping in the big turd on the ground. I sure hope it's canine. Thanks again Happy Chappies for one of the best hides I've seen and for the shortcut to the other side of the world.

What a nifty cache! Only one issue; I don't fit into it last cache grabbed on our way to the St Kilda flash event.
Dropped off Trollin' for Caches geocoin. As it wants to travel all over the world I hope it gets a journey through space and time in the not too distant future. Noticed the Blue Kanga TB I dropped off a few weeks ago is still there and I discovered several other TBs. Didn't see the listed Joey Koala or small Racing Duck in the container but maybe I just overlooked them.
Wanted to visit this cache especially as a GC I picked up in South Australia has been in my caching bag for way too long wanted to go to Europe. So after a nice lunch I headed out this way, picking up a few others on the way here and then heading back home! Parked nearby and took to the bush where the brilliantly built hide was quickly located. This is a brilliant concept, thanks heaps to the Happy Chappies (and the recipient p-boro) for this idea, really useful. Dropped a GC and a TB.
Excellent cache! Top marks!
I actually found it very quickly. Maybe my cache radar was workin overtime, but brilliant effort put into this cache! Love it!

What a great hide, and a great concept too. Will have to return here to move trackables on in the future. Now, if I can only get that personal portal from my place to open nearby ... TFTC
The wormhole is well established and working smoothly these days.
10 days in transit on this trip, not bad at all for a total mass of 12 TBs and coins surfacing.... NOOOOOOW, swoosh, clong, thump...

19/05/12 4:04 PM Find #1009 The Germ-Hole has been on my to do list for a while and today on a trip back from Ikea here I am and I've dropped off one of my own TBs for a journey through space and time A nicely constructed cache too. Thanks Happy Chappies.

Took a little while to find as we approached from the wrong angle. Great little spot for a cache, and a lot of effort put into the construction!! TNLN, and discovered a few TBs.
