A beautiful track to walk in a significant area - thanks for showing this place!
Thanks for this cache and best wishes from Germany, kischte.

Nice and dry, not so far away from the path as we expected.

Lovely quiet forest so calming and relaxing. Cache seemed to be the other side of the path by 20m but seemed obvious as we got close to where it was. Quickly signed and returned as we could hear a muggle call from afar. Thanks for the cache.
Awesome track in amazing country! Good fun finding this and the other caches on the peninsula!
all safe and secure in perfect condition tftc with spoonz2 who had previously found the cache
Found with nissan 65. Flew in from sydney for a short holiday. Hoping to see as much as i can on the south island and pick up caches along the way . Thanku for the cache.
I must have done the track round the other way so I would have called it “just started walking”. Interesting track. Thanks for the placement.
Coordinates had us a little off but a little deduction had the cache soon in hand. TFTC
Last night, LtCaine and I parked at a campground nearby. While checking on the route for the next day we saw quite a good number of geocaches along the way. As we had some time for the next day and didnt want to be in Oamaru too early, we figured we might just break our "most caches per day" record. We headed down the highway with multiple stops for the caches, went to Benmore peninsula and the elephant rocks afterwards. The reward? A couple of scratches, stunning views and 42 caches to add to our found lists! Thanks for hiding!

Last night, ReCached and I parked our awesome campervan next to the Ahuriri River between Omarama and Twizel. While we were planning the next day, we noticed a bunch of geocaches on the way to Otematata as well as on the Benmore Peninsula Track. We love Geocaching and we felt the need to decelerate our journey a little bit - an easy task with all those awesome containers out there! To round off the day, we also stopped at the gigantic Elephant Rocks near Duntroon. At the end of day, we managed to find 42 geocaches.
For us this was just the start because we decided to walk the track clockwise. TFTC drawp!

Time to wander the peninsular. Night has fallen, torches to the fore. Took a wee while to hunt, but KM managed to snag the find after rereading the cache notes. Cheers.
Off on a caching weekend with Kiwi Moose, to the Waitaki and slightly beyond. Great weather, great place to be, great company, and more than a few little plastic boxes.
Thanks to all of the CO's for the hides. Cheers.

Found while on a weekend leave pass with Karma Reprint, heading up and down the Waitaki Valley with a few bike rides and wanders on the way. Ahh, the downhill! Took a few minutes, spent too long up the hill instead of just reaching it from the track. Cheers
(Found with Don Cristobal)
First cache on our little hiking tour around Benmore Dam.

Found with MrandMrsChosen1978 on our Waitangi Weekend road trip. We had ventured down from Omarama and decided to do the walk round the peninsula and grab the caches. Great views on a great day. Thanks for the hide.
Found by mrandmrschosen1978, with Granville86a, while on a road trip over Waitangi Weekend. We started off traveling through Central Otago and on up to the McKenzie Basin exploring Lake Ohau to Mt Cook one day, then we spent another day by heading down the Waitati Valley before heading back down south. As we explored these areas we decided to do this walk and found this cache along the way. Thank you for the placement an amazing scenic walk with views across the lake and even Mt Cook
Nearly DNF. Had given up when back on the track I looked up on the bank. It is an easy find but GPS had us 10 m away. No scrambling needed here.
We found this geocache during our great NZ trip with our dad GlobeCacher.de, please see his log for details.

My mission is my first 3 day tramp on Stewart Island. The Seagnoid has Xmas off so we are off on an epic adventure with Zara around the South Island. The Seagnoid is navigator and scribe, Zara and I have teamed up and Im cache logger. We leave Tekapo for Alexandra today.
Benmore dam and the peninsular walk on my radar for today. A hunting we will go and we hunted and hunted. The hint here leading us astray. Finally tagged track side. Cheers

TaybeeDragon and I are off for a three day walk on Stewart Island. But we have a camper, so once you add in getting there and back, it's a three week trip. Day 7: Tekapo to Alexandra.
Spent a lot of time looking under the dig tree up the bank, then at the nearby trees. Turns out the cache is not where the CO says it is - it's within reach of the track.

Today, after waking up at a rainy, windy, foggy and cold Mount Cook, we decided to look for a place with a bit sunshine and we therefore drove the 120 kms to Otematata for the Benmore Peninsula Track. It appeared to be a very worthwhile 7 km walk, which kept us busy for three hours as it required at times quite some searching, both for the cache locations as for the caches itself. In total we visited 11 caches and we have managed to find them all.
Our big thanks to **drawp** for showing us around at this place. We will leave a favorite with a few caches as appreciation for this nice trail in a truly beautiful environment.
*The GPS pointed uphill but eventually it could be found from the path.*

Great walk but missed one as my batteries were going flat fast. I'm happy to come back again to get the one on the Ridge. Beautiful location. Thanks for bringing us here. Worth the walk. TFTC
We were not nearly done as we had only just begun. We found out later we should have taken the right hand track at the beginning. The cache was an easy find.
Nice walk with fefe.adrien on the Benmore peninsula loop track. Views on snowy mountains and the blue lake are beautiful !!
Quick find for all boxes.
We signed on the logbook with our team name : Lekiprokos
Easier than we believed at the beginning...

Ninalila and I went for a walk because the weather is really nice and warm. We found all the boxes on our way even if sometimes it meant to 'climb' a little. All of them were easy to find.
The views all along the track are stunning !!!!
It took some times but with the hint we managed to find it

Well I was only just starting! A quick find … once I found the right hint object. I know I haven’t been the only one to be a bit premature in my hunting because there was evidence of a lot of scrambling around in the first place I looked. Thanks for placing the cache
Feeling a little rebellious today, I took a shortcut from the road a little further from the parking lot, and went straight for this one. I'd say good direction for spotting a likely hide TFTC!!
Really nice walk with a beautiful view of the Lake Benmore. Thanks for the cache. Second of the day
Another great find while slowly heading to the Christchurch Mega.
Thanks for adding to the enjoyment of this trip.
Enjoying the walk around the area but strong winds of 90-120kph!

We couldn't find it either. Very steep ground with slippery pine needle and ball bearing cones.
Sorry! at the coords, there are definitely tree roots evident and a rock, but no cache. There is space behind the rock big enough for the container, but defo has gone! Will try to put the pikkie up sometime for you.
Didn't even have my iPhone out at the point of finding this. Just seen the rocks. Tftc
Thank you for the cache. We were with my wife on long trip around south east Asia, Australia and New Zealand. The caches showed us so many nice places.
We must have done the track in the opposite direction to the CO as this was the first one we found.
A nice track for a quick wander.
Found on a round up in the area with DebsNZ and Aoraki Sheep.

Coming at this one up the hill and the 'cacher's eye' noticed a suspicious pile of rocks about 50m before GZ. Found with Aoraki Sheep and Woody104.
We would have walked past this one if it wasn't for debsnz noticing something as she walked past. Found with Woody104 and debsnz
Brilliant sunshine here, drizzling at home. Good day for a walk, but did not dress for this weather! Good job we brought the billy for a brew at the end of this walk. TFTC
This was the easiest find, didn't need gps, cache was sitting quite exposed with a pen sitting next to it(certainly wouldn't have fitted in the cache) recovered after signing log. Tftc
As it was a nice sunny afternoon we did the Benmore Peninsular Track and got some caches on the way. TFTC
After work i make this round with a colleague. Very nice view over Benmore but a little bit cloudy today.
The last one for today. The other three one i make later, take the wrong way and miss them.

Nearly done all right. Took some time to get around this track but worth it.

We did this a bit backwards, but got the find in the end. Logging as part of the Rambler's Reward challenge.
I had some trouble with a very inaccurate gps and only half the hints so i missed plenty on this trip around on the mountain bike--Thanks for this one
7th one found doing the penninsula walk, spotted this one straight away SL thanks for the great series, will be back to get the two DNF's one day
Phew last one for us looking forward to a drink! Thank for bringing us to this wonderful walkway TFTC
Like BaldEd - did it the other way around and therefore not Nearly Done... Enjoyed the walk and are glad that we didn't do it before all these caches got placed. There can't be a spot for one more!
